Don't be fooled by the location - this is a great place to stop to eat. Real home-cooked meals that taste great. It was packed on a recent Sunday & seemed well supporting by the local ranching/farming community. The staff were very friendly & efficient. The food is reasonably priced. Happy to have found this place on our road trip.

This was my first time here, and Cass, our server, was fantastic! The food was delicious and arrived in a timely manner. The restaurant has a warm, welcoming atmosphere and a friendly vibe.

Rhonda you are an angel. That was the best breakfast I've had in a while! I had the California Benedict with extra crispy !

Hidden in an unexpected area (next to the livestock auction) is Kenny's Kitchen. They took over the building from what was formerly known as the Branding Iron. We wandered in here around 11:30am on a Monday morning and were very surprised to see how busy this place was! It looked like the crowd you would expect on a weekend. That's when we had a feeling the food is probably pretty good... we were sat at the bar top because there were no open tables. Yes, on a Monday. The portions are super generous, and everyone seemed to really enjoy their food. I ordered the Country fried steak and eggs (held the potatoes and toast because I can't cheat THAT much) and the portions were massive. They served me 3 eggs, a steak double the size I expected and a heaping load of gravy. And it was so yummy! Overall a really solid breakfast/lunch place that's worth checking out if you're ever hanging out in or driving through the Cottonwood area. Definitely recommend!

This place has amazing food! Located at the Shasta Livestock center. I had the Tri-Tip dip and it was probably the best I've ever had!! Service was great and the overall vibe of this place is down to earth local rancher folks! If you're in Cottonwood you MUST try Kenny's Kitchen!

I asked her my ESA dogs lunch inside with me, and she said okay if service dogs and must under the table and leashed on

Plan on around 7:30, the crowds diminish, and the sunset is beautiful." He also said reservations are fine but not necessary. Cool, see you this evening. Returning to the B&B, I decided to research the restaurant. I found the website, and searched the menu and reservations. The website said closed, and no reservations available.I thought it odd that the information was in conflict, so I called. I received confirmation that the were open, and made a reservation. After arriving that evening, we were told we needed to wait awhile because the server was busy. We waited patiently for about twenty minutes to be seated. After finally being seated, we waited again to order. The place was very busy for a Wednesday evening. After all the waiting, I started to wonder it this would be worth it. Finally, the meals came. The food was very good as was the service. After the meal, the waitress coherced us into the cheesecake for desert. She said - if we liked - she could serve us on the patio. The sun was setting, and the weather was beautiful, so we took her up on it. What began as a question marked evolved into an exclamation mark. The cheesecake with blueberry compote was Devine. Was it worth the wait? Yes, for the cheesecake alone. If you are visiting the Mt. Lassen area, this place is a must. Barring the inaccuracies of the website, the experience was wonderful. I could rate the restaurant a four, for the error, but they get a six for the cheesecake, so five it is.

Oh wait, the lavender honey butter was also delicious. The service was not great. But our server was nice. I could see she was slammed and was receiving no help at all by others that were just standing there and talking. I understand most times restaurants don't share sections, but it would've made the experience better to have someone help with our drinks or something. It was relatively busy so the noise volume was up, but we could still hear each other. The surroundings are pretty. We watched the cows and people riding horses while we waited for our table.

Located in the Placer Heights Plaza, next to Starbucks. Same plaza as Holiday Market and CVS Pharmacy. We were seated immediately as they were not busy. The menu was a bit different than online. Our server came to take our order. He didn't introduce himself and seemed like he didn't want to be there. We decided on the fried green tomatoes, fried chicken sandwich and catfish po' boy. When the po' boy came out, we thought it was burnt! We didn't know the catfish will be blackened by default. We thought it will be fried since it is a po' boy. The options can be blackened or fried based on the menu online. We were not given those options by our server. They brought out the food but didnt provide utensils until minutes later. Fried green tomatoes: It was good. Fried perfectly. The dressing that was tossed with the side salad was super salty. Catfish po' boy: Fish was tender but super salty as well. Fried chicken sandwich: Pretty good sandwich. Chicken was huge. The fries was so soggy, not crispy at all. Also very greasy. We were a bit disappointed as we drove out of our way to try this place. Nice ambiance though. I felt I was a bit underdressed lol

I ordered the breakfast burrito and my partner had some pancakes. The burrito was decently sized tasted fresh and was nice and filling, no complaints there. The pancakes were really good and fluffy. Staff was friendly whipped up some spicy salsa for me since my breakfast burrito needed a little kick and was very attentive. There's a good amount of seating for the size of the place and they had a small bar area which I thought was a nice touch. Solid little spot of people to stop by and grab a bite to eat.
