We went there this past weekend, after our daughter's s soccer game and subsequent trip to Burney Falls. I was looking for Ramen, and this place has both Ramen and Poke. The hosts were congenial and friendly and took our orders confidently and quickly. My wife and daughters ordered poke bowls and I ordered their Ramen. The Poke bowls were pretty good (in comparison with the Poke spots we have in Sac), and the ladies cleaned their bowls completely. There are three types of Ramen bowls available (Spam, Miso and Seafood), and I selected the Seafood option. It was a standard mix of shrimp, imitation crab, and scallops with fish cake, green onions and seaweed with a miso-like broth. The bowl was pretty solid, the broth could use a bit more flavor. So all in all, it was a solid meal for us. I would give the poke bowls a solid B, and the Ramen bowl a B-. Poke Land is a good place to have Poke or Ramen if you're in Redding. I surmise that there are better Ramen options within the Japanese restaurants around town, maybe better Poke options too. However, this is a good place that does both. read more

Really solid spot!! The prices for the portion size is amazing, as you can get a poke bowl that feeds 2 people for $16. The salmon was really fresh and I loved how you can pick all the toppings and sauces you want! Our server was really sweet too. I loved the house/ponzu sauce with ricee. My only complaint is that the other fish options besides the salmon didn't look too fresh. The tuna/snapper/etc looked more pre/frozen and dry. So, we have seen the PokeLand Extra sign for years but assumed it was some sort of Pokémon store. ‍ Ordered online last night, two three scoop bowls. The ingredients were fresh, flavorful, and absolutely incredible. Online told me it would be 14-20 minutes but it was ready in 8 minutes. Staff was kind and friendly, building was clean. I had Tuna(raw), Scallops, Spicy Tuna(raw), and Crab, with all the fixings, white rice, edamame, onions, pineapple, avocado, cucumber, and the eel sauce. It was like a deconstructed sushi plate, and so much food! It was fantastic and we will now be regulars! Also, how sweet is the cute note!?! read more

Food was good, although not anything super special. I got the ahi tuna bowl with a medium spicy sauce that ended up being pretty mild. Everything tasted fine though. It's pretty pricy, $18-20 per person if you get a drink. Everything is pricy now so for fresh ingredients this is probably typical. The restaurant has nice decorations and there are lots of tables. Yes please!!! This place provide us with just the right amount of fresh and a hearty lunch!! I love that the portions were decent and staff was more than willing to provide one decent scoop with a minimum of three items per section without having to charge extra plus everything was nice and nutritious. The atmosphere was welcoming. Staff were kind and welcoming especially the two ladies serving :-) The place had ample seating and also had a nice window with good lighting. I love the variation of sauces available, it made it exciting to try and combine various flavors. I would most definitely be going again in the near future!! read more

Kids and hubby went here twice of the days we spent in Redding. The young lady remembered my hubby on the second day going back. I love that they take all the ingredient and mix the sauce onto it than serve onto the bowls. It's an extra step to make things blend with the ingredients. I took Poke Land for granted and was truly depressed the day that I pulled up and thought that they were closed for good during Covid *cries* I always get the Large bowl (5 scoops of protein) on mixed salad greens for $14.90 (including taxes). Some recent reviews mentioned "rancid" raw fish, so I was weary and on high alert. I walked the line BEFORE I ordered (just in case). *Pfffftttt* Nothing to see here, same as I remembered from my last visit *YAY* I did opted for 2 scoops of tuna and 3 scoops of salmon because the salmon looked super fresh and never disappoints. I had them mix 3 sauces: house spicy sauce, spicy mayo and the wildfire sauce *perfect balance between spicy and flavorful - for me* All of the toppings were super fresh, the lettuce chilled, crispy and had a good crunch. The bowl was filling and refreshing! I couldn't eat it all at once, but during the road trip... I did notice that having it sitting on the floorboard with heater going had a negative effect on the overall freshness, but the flavor was still there. Note: "Crabmeat" as listed on an earlier menu has been corrected to "Krabmeat" on today's menu. Call it what you want, it's texture and flavor is on point *YES Please* In town and have time to sit and eat? This IS A HIDDEN GEM! On Highway 5 and getting tired of processed garbage food? It's going to be 1 star or 5 star depending on who serves you. You can watch the person ahead of you get full scoops of fish and then you get the new boy who counts out 3 cubes of salmon and acts like he's being generous. Food is fresh and a good selection of flavors, but super hit or miss if it's going to be worth the money. Poke Land Extra is decent at best. While the fish may be fresh, the quality is not very good quality. I would try a different Poke place if there are other options in town. The staff was very friendly and it is priced pretty good. I think they can use some ingredient upgrades and really shine. The restaurant was clean and they had quite a few options to make food. They add a lot of rice for the large bowl which is not good. I want more fish and toppings, not carbs! read more

I've been to this place twice and both time I've been impressed with the food and service. I live both in Redding and the Bay Area where I have access to great poke places and this place ranks amongst the top three. The ingredients are very fresh and the portions are plentiful. The sauces they have are really good (my favorite is the eel and house sauce). The workers are very friendly and explains everything f to you. I specifically want to highlight a young lady that helped us. I don't know her name but she's really tall. Her personality and smile brightened up our night! Her service was a bonus and we noticed she treated everyone she helped the same way. We bought a drink but the ice machine was frozen so when we told the owner, he was very apologetic. He wanted to reimburse us for the drink, which we said no to. So he gave us a free drink from the refrigerator. I found that there food was fresh and the prices were reasonable for the serving size. the had good selections of proteins and additions. They had a good selection of sauces as well. I would eat here again if I was in the neighborhood. Now this was a strange site to see... Hawaiian food in Redding , Ca. They just opened about a month. The servers were very friendly and well trained. they both never been to Hawaii, but they watch Hawaii Five-0! lol Hawaiian music was playing overhead, and I asked them if they liked the music. Both stated that, it "grows" on you.. lol Too cute... Their poke bowl is a 5 step process... pick your base, pick your sides, select your fish, choose your sauce, then finally, choose your toppings. My poke bowl with Pokeland's house sauce was very delicious. Not bad for Redding I thought to myself. They even had Hawaiian Sun's drinks to purchase from Guava, Lilikoi, Passion-Orange, etc. Nice touch for the local feel. For all you folks in Redding, Ca., I would recommend giving Pokeland a try. I'm not going let how excited i was that this was a restaurant and not a stupid Pokemon thing skew this review. They earned 5 stars all on their own. Set up like a MOD or Subway, the poke bowls are totally customizable with all the traditional mix-is and topping. The tuna, salmon belly, masago, scallops, and shrimp were very fresh. The veggies and fruit were very cold and fresh. I could eat a whole bowl of the seaweed salad. We also got a pokerito, which is like a giant sushi roll. We ate it so fast, I forgot to get a picture. Excellent sauces and fish. The rice was cooked well in both. Service was friendly and quick. When I asked a question they didn't know the answer to, they found out for me. Very clean. Great place to grab a quick, light meal. Not a ton of drink options, but they have juices, marble sodas and a fountain drink dispenser. We will be back often. read more
