Great restaurant but wow,so noisy .We had excellent service from our waitress despite it being crazy busy. My husband had the trout & I had the Roasted Chicken. Both dishes were tasty but my chicken had just a little too much garlic (to be fair, not a huge fan of a lot garlic anyway!) We also shared bread pudding that was amazing. A little on the pricey side. The menu prices I grabbed online definitely incorrect & lower (for example Braised ribs online showed just under $40,actually closer to $50 now)

This is a farm to table restaurant in Boise in the heart of the city. We made reservations just in case, for an early dinner at 4:30pm, and it was not too busy - walk-ins seem to be possible if you cannot snag a limited reservation. We got the Carajillo cocktail (seasonal) and a glass of red wine from an Idaho winery. The drinks were expensive for Boise - $16 for a tiny cocktail, versus the usual $11-15 price tag at most of the nearby restaurants. The red wine was decent. The Carajillo was interesting as it was a take on espresso martini with some citrus notes We got the asparagus fries, tomato basil fondue and grilled cheese, Idaho rainbow trout, and Fork's signature warm butter cake. The asparagus fries were market price and fluctuates. It was decent - texture is pretty much asparagus with some fried batter and nothing special aside from the ranch sauce that you dip with it. The tomato basil fondue was an interesting take on grilled cheese and tomato soup. The fondue candle is aesthetic only - it was useless in keeping the soup warm. The Idaho rainbow trout was a pretty good price - a whole piece of fish filet into 2 pieces with a decent amount of root vegetables and Brussels sprouts. The fish needs some flavor but fine when combining with everything. The warm butter cake was good but the presentation was a bit sloppy - the ice cream failed to stay in the center since the butter cake was sloped and not uniform. Service is fine as bare minimum but felt a bit abrupt and inadequate at times. For a restaurant that you can easily spend $50-100 per person, especially in Boise, it is on the higher end so I expected more from the service.

The food was wonderful. We had a party of 13 and everybody was very pleased. The waiters were great and patient with such a large group paying individually. My only issue was the restaurant is very loud which made even talking to your neighbor a challenge.

I attended a farewell brunch here with a large group of friends. It was a nice ending to a long weekend with friends! I'm giving 4 stars because the service was great! Very attentive! However, I didn't find a whole lot of vegan friendly items. I opted for dry toast and avocado. The avocado was plentiful and perfectly ripe! I also got orange juice, I also got an iced tea. Should have started with the iced tea because it was nice and crisp tasting the way I like it and got free refills on the tea. I would have saved $4 on the juice!

I honestly didn't know a thing about Fork. We can as a large group of 16 or so people and I just tagged along for brunch. Located in the heart of downtown Boise in the beautiful and historic National Bank Building, Fork has that classy upscale feel. I love that that they also have a nice outside patio area if you want to take in a beautiful day. The bathrooms were clean and nice though is a bit weird that you have to cut through server station to get there. The menu has many unique brekkie items from chilaquiles to yummy sounding omelettes and a giant cinnamon role, but what caught my attention was Idaho Chef's Benny. Idaho = Local poachers + blackened & fried Idaho trout + local English muffin + Cajun hollandaise + crispy red potatoes. I've never had fish on a Benny so I had to try it. And I'm glad I did as it was delicious. One thing did bother me through and that's that I had to peel the skin off the fish and there was a little more fat than I would have liked. Still a good dish overall and worth trying. I do like that Forks big thing is buying locally from farm to fork. I also got a coffee but I didn't see it on the menu. I knew they had it anyway because what brunch place would've? The coffee itself was a bit too strong and bold. Not my style as I'm a medium body drink but it definitely seemed like a dark roast. I had to soften it was sweetener and creamer. I was a bit shocked to find out that the coffee was $6. They really outta put the item and price on the menu. I dislike when I have to guess at things, especially something as common as coffee. The server did forget my partners coffee though and had to be reminded. I get that we are a large party, but still. Overall I mostly enjoyed my experience and would go back again.

This is an amazing dinner spot. Food is fresh and tasty. The ravioli's are homemade and the sauce is so good. The trout plate is huge. Two generous filets and the citrus salad is yummy. Service is excellent. We were seated right on time of our reservation. Next time we will request patio seating

I stopped by Fork because it was just a short walk from my hotel. I also appreciated their commitment to using locally sourced ingredients, which really came through in the freshness of the meal. I ordered the B.C.S. salad with added avocado, and it was excellent. The buttermilk basil-pesto dressing was one of the highlights, it added plenty of flavor without overwhelming the fresh ingredients. The peppery arugula paired surprisingly well with the sweetness of the black currants, creating a combination I wouldn't have thought to order but really enjoyed. The salmon was perfectly cooked and well-seasoned. It was moist and fresh-tasting with none of the overly fishy flavor. The avocado was a great addition and made the salad even more satisfying. The atmosphere was welcoming, with a nice mix of solo diners, couples, families, and groups of friends. The service was good, nothing that particularly stood out, but it was friendly and efficient. Overall, this was a fresh, flavorful meal that showcased the quality of locally sourced ingredients.

On our way to brunch we saw this place and it really caught my husbands eye. So with no reservations we headed here for dinner. We waited on bar seating which took a few minutes. The place was packed and rightfully so. After looking at the menu we went with the rainbow trout, the chicken dish, and truffle fries. Everything is farm to table aka farm to fork here. I've never had rainbow trout but it was delicious. My husband loved his chicken. Best unexpected visit and good service.

Came in on a Friday night and grabbed a seat at the bar. The decor had a classy rustic charm clean, warm, inviting with a great atomsphere. I ordered the Herb Crusted Prime Rib ($46), which is only offered on Fridays and Saturdays. The au jus served with it was delicious, but the prime rib itself was a bit disappointing. The temperature felt like it had been sitting out for a while. The mashed potatoes were not very creamy and bland in flavor. Overall, the restaurant has beautiful decor, a great atmosphere, and solid service at the bar. The food was okay.

While planning our Boise weekend getaway, I saw that Fork came highly recommended, so I made a dinner reservation and I'm so glad I did! We were tempted by all the appetizers, but our waiter suggested the smashed burger, which turned out to be the perfect pick. Juicy, flavorful, and served with a generous portion of fries. The standout for me, though, was the asparagus fries, our first time trying anything like that, and we devoured the whole plate. We also shared the grilled cheese fondue that is dipped in tomato soup which was so comforting. The potato salad it came as large wedges of potatoes, which my husband didn't mind one bit since he finished most of it. Although our server wasn't the most cheerful, the food came out quickly and everything was delicious. A great dinner spot in Boise that I'd happily return to.

Good food. Nice ambiance. Great service! I got the BAM Sammy with mashed potatoes. The sandwich was ok, but the mashed potatoes were amazing! Carajillo has become one of my favorite drinks and this one was one of the best I've had!

Wait here for lunch ended up, running into some friends and sat with their table. I ordered the salmon sandwich and a beer for lunch. The bartender ended up being in our server and we had a pretty large table since I joined them. Everybody all ordered different dishes and it all looked to be pretty good. This looks like a really nice place that has a little more of expensive items on the menu. I highly recommend for lunch. The place looked very clean and very well put together and very well trained staffed.

Today my friend wanted to celebrate her birthday here so of course I said yes! We decided to sit on the outdoor patio today. It wasn't the warmest day but it was beautiful out. It was the perfect table for our outing. Jerika (I hope I spelled her name right) greeted my friend and I with her beautiful smile. We got some drinks started so while they were being worked on, my friend and I breezed over the menu. I did somewhat enjoy my charboiled salmon at the Eagle Bardenay for my birthday a couple weeks ago. The chefs did undercook my first plate of salmon. The server was kind to take my plate back to have the chefs remake it. The second attempt was appreciated but it was unfortunately a fail. The salmon came out so dry. I get that I wanted it well done but not jerky. But, today's a new day and I was willing to give it another shot. So today, I ordered the salmon with veggies instead of the salad. My plate came out and it looked promising. I love beautiful char marks on my food. The char marks today were perfect. My veggies looked nicely cooked but I could tell that some of the squash was still undercooked by the color. I didn't mind, it's a sign of freshness. As much as I wanted to stare at the prettiness of my food, I was ready to dig in! My salmon was so good! It was perfectly cooked! No raw spots in the middle, it was flaky and moist. It was a fabulous piece of salmon. The sun dried tomato butter is a fantastic add on to the salmon. I honestly could have polished another piece of fish. The chef that cooked my salmon today needs a raise! My lunch was chef's kiss! My friend enjoyed her lunch and her birthday drink! The outdoor patio was so relaxing. My lunch was also enjoyed. Our server was kind and attentive. I couldn't have asked for a better birthday lunch for my deserving friend. I hope that it won't be another 5+ years till I come back. I will need another plate of salmon with that sun dried tomato butter soon.

This was almost going to be a three-star review, but the food really stole the show. We came here for brunch on the last day of our trip. Every time I searched for the best breakfast or brunch spots, this place kept coming up, so we figured it was worth a visit. When we arrived, about half of the restaurant was empty, yet we were quoted a 15-minute wait. During the hour we spent there, I didn't see any of those empty tables get filled. I understand that some may have been reserved, but it did leave me wondering whether the wait was intended to create the impression of high demand by keeping a line outside.Once we were seated, our order was taken, but the food took another 20-30 minutes to arrive. Thankfully, it was worth the wait. I ordered the Salmon Benedict, while my husband had the Biscuits & Gravy. Both dishes were excellent. The salmon was beautifully smoked, the hollandaise sauce was rich and perfectly balanced, and even the breakfast potatoes were crisped to perfection. The biscuits and gravy were flavorful, hearty, and incredibly satisfying. One surprise was that they didn't have an espresso machine, which felt unusual for a restaurant known for brunch. We settled for orange juice, which tasted more like bottled juice than freshly squeezed. The staff was courteous throughout our visit, though I wouldn't necessarily describe the service as warm or particularly engaging.

The brisket was flavorful, the grits were good, and he substituted a biscuit for toast. Oddly, the biscuit was served completely plain. When I asked a staff member if it normally came with butter or jam, they looked genuinely confused by the question. I eventually just asked for jam, but it felt like a strange interaction. I ordered the Brisket Benedict and the Monte Cristo. The Benedict looked great when it arrived, but one poached egg was perfectly runny while the other was significantly overcooked with a mostly solid yolk. The brisket was dry, the collard greens underneath were dry, and there wasn't enough hollandaise to compensate. The breakfast potatoes were crispy and fine, but nothing memorable. The Monte Cristo was the biggest letdown. When I order a Monte Cristo, I expect something rich, savory, and indulgent. This version was made with bland white bread, the bacon was very soft, and the sandwich lacked the flavor and texture that make a Monte Cristo worth ordering. It looked better than it tasted. Service was pleasant, but no one checked on our table after the food arrived, despite the restaurant not being very busy. Had someone stopped by, I would have mentioned the overcooked egg. Overall, one good dish out of three isn't enough to make me want to return. Based on this visit, I'd give it 3 stars.

There's also garnish on top (some sort of greens and cheese) that gives it a nice look and extra flavor. Delicious! I didn't think much of the customer service initially aside from thinking they were super friendly. However, I sat down at one of the tables and took my time eating and people watching. So many people came by the store to talk to the chefs with such familiarity that it felt like this popup was its own restaurant and community. Even after a lot of time had passed and the staff had already helped out so many people, when I left, they called out my name and it made me wish I could go back again. This is one of the best experiences I've ever had at a restaurant. Not because it's spectacular or mindblowing, but because it was great people watching. The food itself was also amazing for late night food-coma inducing munching.
