BAM - Thick cut applewood maple bacon, Avocado, mozzarella, tomatoes, and basil pesto. With a side salad.

The food was wonderful. We had a party of 13 and everybody was very pleased. The waiters were great and patient with such a large group paying individually. My only issue was the restaurant is very loud which made even talking to your neighbor a challenge.

Fork: plain toast and avocado

I attended a farewell brunch here with a large group of friends. It was a nice ending to a long weekend with friends! I'm giving 4 stars because the service was great! Very attentive! However, I didn't find a whole lot of vegan friendly items. I opted for dry toast and avocado. The avocado was plentiful and perfectly ripe! I also got orange juice, I also got an iced tea. Should have started with the iced tea because it was nice and crisp tasting the way I like it and got free refills on the tea. I would have saved $4 on the juice!

Idaho Rainbow Trout Benny

I honestly didn't know a thing about Fork. We can as a large group of 16 or so people and I just tagged along for brunch. Located in the heart of downtown Boise in the beautiful and historic National Bank Building, Fork has that classy upscale feel. I love that that they also have a nice outside patio area if you want to take in a beautiful day. The bathrooms were clean and nice though is a bit weird that you have to cut through server station to get there. The menu has many unique brekkie items from chilaquiles to yummy sounding omelettes and a giant cinnamon role, but what caught my attention was Idaho Chef's Benny. Idaho = Local poachers + blackened & fried Idaho trout + local English muffin + Cajun hollandaise + crispy red potatoes. I've never had fish on a Benny so I had to try it. And I'm glad I did as it was delicious. One thing did bother me through and that's that I had to peel the skin off the fish and there was a little more fat than I would have liked. Still a good dish overall and worth trying. I do like that Forks big thing is buying locally from farm to fork. I also got a coffee but I didn't see it on the menu. I knew they had it anyway because what brunch place would've? The coffee itself was a bit too strong and bold. Not my style as I'm a medium body drink but it definitely seemed like a dark roast. I had to soften it was sweetener and creamer. I was a bit shocked to find out that the coffee was $6. They really outta put the item and price on the menu. I dislike when I have to guess at things, especially something as common as coffee. The server did forget my partners coffee though and had to be reminded. I get that we are a large party, but still. Overall I mostly enjoyed my experience and would go back again.

On our way to brunch we saw this place and it really caught my husbands eye. So with no reservations we headed here for dinner. We waited on bar seating which took a few minutes. The place was packed and rightfully so. After looking at the menu we went with the rainbow trout, the chicken dish, and truffle fries. Everything is farm to table aka farm to fork here. I've never had rainbow trout but it was delicious. My husband loved his chicken. Best unexpected visit and good service.

Grilled Salmon Sammy

Wait here for lunch ended up, running into some friends and sat with their table. I ordered the salmon sandwich and a beer for lunch. The bartender ended up being in our server and we had a pretty large table since I joined them. Everybody all ordered different dishes and it all looked to be pretty good. This looks like a really nice place that has a little more of expensive items on the menu. I highly recommend for lunch. The place looked very clean and very well put together and very well trained staffed.

Came in on a Friday night and grabbed a seat at the bar. The decor had a classy rustic charm clean, warm, inviting with a great atomsphere. I ordered the Herb Crusted Prime Rib ($46), which is only offered on Fridays and Saturdays. The au jus served with it was delicious, but the prime rib itself was a bit disappointing. The temperature felt like it had been sitting out for a while. The mashed potatoes were not very creamy and bland in flavor. Overall, the restaurant has beautiful decor, a great atmosphere, and solid service at the bar. The food was okay.

BAM Sammy

Good food. Nice ambiance. Great service! I got the BAM Sammy with mashed potatoes. The sandwich was ok, but the mashed potatoes were amazing! Carajillo has become one of my favorite drinks and this one was one of the best I've had!

Smashed burger

While planning our Boise weekend getaway, I saw that Fork came highly recommended, so I made a dinner reservation and I'm so glad I did! We were tempted by all the appetizers, but our waiter suggested the smashed burger, which turned out to be the perfect pick. Juicy, flavorful, and served with a generous portion of fries. The standout for me, though, was the asparagus fries, our first time trying anything like that, and we devoured the whole plate. We also shared the grilled cheese fondue that is dipped in tomato soup which was so comforting. The potato salad it came as large wedges of potatoes, which my husband didn't mind one bit since he finished most of it. Although our server wasn't the most cheerful, the food came out quickly and everything was delicious. A great dinner spot in Boise that I'd happily return to.

Steak sandwich with truffle fries and garlic aioli

Really top notch steak sandwich and truffle fries with garlic aioli, this is a can't-miss in Boise. Service was friendly and attentive and I was quickly seated. Restaurant is visually appealing and upscale. Definitely recommend!

SBC salad with white cheddar cheese and honey balsamic dressing on the side.

Love the style of this restaurant - a nice mix of historic architecture and modern wood & dark moodiness. The service was excellent! We were pleased to be seated right away, our server answered all our questions and we were checked on often by multiple staff. We ordered the Sleeping Dragon mocktails and crisped Brussel Sprouts to start. They were both delicious with nice twists on the traditional flavor profiles. My mom ordered the braised short rib which was very tender and she very much enjoyed the hearty texture of the mashed potatoes. I had the SBC salad with smoked salmon & arugula - wow! Both portions were very large. We will definitely come back here the next time we're in town visiting family.

First meal while visiting Idaho from out of state! Exceptional farm-to-table and locally sourced food! It's the real deal, friends. From the fresh produce made into a winter grain salad to rainbow trout. This salad has quinoa, farro, kale, red cabbage, dried cranberries, sliced almonds in a peach and bourbon vinagrette. Healthy and delicious! The Idaho rainbow trout is perfect--tender, flaky and tasty. Their signature warm butter cake is very popular for good reason. Vanilla ice cream, fresh fruit, warm butter cake w/berry coulis is dessert gold that just melted in my mouth! The hubby and I were well impressed with the food here and excellent service from Halle. We'd love to eat here again when in town. 5 stars! PS: the outside around them is pretty too with lots of lovely flowers.

Chicken sandwich with house chips.
Michele L.

Stopped in at 4:45 pm on a Wednedsay for a bite, without reservations. The host sat us at a nice table, eloquently and politely mentioning that the table was reserved for 5:45 pm. We experienced a great meal and fantastic service. First, we shared an order of crispy and herby black truffle fries. My dining partner had the crispy chicken sandwich with chips and I ordered the king salmon sandwich, upgrading from chips to the house salad. Look at the picture! Can't you see the freshness? And the fresh herbed sauces served with the fries, chicken, and salad were wonderful. The chicken was juicy with a fresh potato bun. The salmon in the sandwich was cooked to perfection. The roll was soft with the perfect crusty chew. The side salad was fresh, with perfectly pickled onions. Our server, Becca B., was exceptional! She was super-friendly, professional, offered thoughtful recommendations, and stopped to check on us at all the right times. A true pro! I'd definitely come back again. We didn't try the grilled cheese & tomato fondue appetizer, but it looked delicious, as did the desserts. Give this place a try!

Shrimp and grits

We stopped in for dinner while visiting Boise. This is our 2nd time to Fork, we stopped in last year while visiting Boise as well. We arrived about 1 hour before closing and the hostess sat us outside in a booth on their patio. The patio is situated right on the main walkway but is surrounded by foliage and flowers so the people walking by are not a distraction. It's very nice. I didn't catch our servers name but he was attentive and never left us waiting for anything. Unfortunately he must have been having a bad night as he clearly didn't want to be there. He never smiled and was a bit impatient when we asked questions about the menu. With that being said, he wasn't a bad server. Everyone has a bad day. We were not super hungry as we stopped at another restaurant prior for drinks and appetizers so we decided to share several plates. We ordered Moscow mules and a glass of wine to start. I will say the wine pour was a little small for the price of the wine. Asparagus fries- crispy and cooked perfectly. Delicious. Tomato Basil Fondue & Grilled Cheese - Delicious. I loved the way they serve the melted grilled cheese sandwich. Wagyu sliders. Really tasty but they were overcooked a bit. Fresh soft bun as well. Shrimp and grits. Could have used a bit more seasoning but the flavor was good and the shrimp cooked perfectly. Potatoes with crispy onions. Great! We liked the food and sitting out on the patio. I'm glad we decided to dine again at Fork while visiting Boise.

Every wall features a fun mix of unique pictures, oddities, and diverse styles. It creates an energetic, fun, and visually engaging atmosphere the moment you walk in. The service here is next-level and full of personality. While waiting for my table, I watched the staff serenade a guest with an accordion for their birthday. They were singing to another table right after. It was incredibly cute and heartwarming. Once seated, I noticed a personalized sign with my name written on it at the table. That small, thoughtful touch immediately made me feel welcome. The culinary experience matches the fantastic ambiance: *Drinks: I started with a guava mimosa. It was perfectly balanced, crisp, and refreshing. *The John Denver Omelette: This dish features sausage, diced ham, onions, bell peppers, and pepper jack cheese. The blend of savory flavors and slight cheese kick was outstanding. *Surprise Treats: While waiting for my omelette, the staff brought out a complimentary scone. It arrived hot, fluffy, covered in powdered sugar, and completely delicious. *Past Visits: Their biscuits and gravy are excellent. They lean slightly on the sweet side but taste wonderful. On another trip, a helpful server recommended the Eggs Benedict since I had never tried it. While it ultimately proved a bit too heavy for my personal taste, it was prepared beautifully. The recommendation pushed me to be adventurous! *Sides: The bacon, hashbrowns, and roasted red potatoes are consistently seasoned to perfection and delicious. Before leaving, I noticed they even sell their own merchandise. They have branded hats and beanies available if you want to rep this local favorite. Between the top-tier hospitality, vibrant energy, and delicious food, I am definitely going back for more. Highly recommended!

The food is incredibly well seasoned and thoughtfully prepared, and I love that many of the dishes are uniquely served on cast iron plates -- it adds both character and keeps everything hot from first bite to last. The portions are no joke either. We ordered the Big Boy Omelette with their house potatoes and a BLT with fries, and both were outstanding. Everything was flavorful, cooked perfectly, and plated in a way that made it feel like more than just your average breakfast. At one point, I had to stop and ask another patron what they ordered because it completely filled their plate. It was the chicken-fried steak, and they told me it was cooked perfectly. I can eat -- but there is no way I could finish that chicken-fried steak by myself! The service was just as impressive as the food. Our server, Audrey, was on another level of fantastic. She was attentive, friendly, efficient, and genuinely made the experience better. Be prepared to wait -- it gets busy for a reason. We had a different server than our usual this time and she was fantastic. I wish I remembered her name to give her a shout out. I took away a star because the food wasn't as great as the last few times I visited. The eggs were overcooked (kind of dry and almost rubbery) and the hash browns were under cooked in the center. Now, if you've read my previous review, youd know how much i absolutely LOVE their pancakes - and I've made it my go-to spot for breakfast because of it. Well, either they changed the recipe or someone messed up this batch. It was nice and fluffy, but bland. That signature deliciously buttery flavor was nowhere to be found. I kept taking bites hoping my tongue was deceiving me... but there were no lies. Just disappointment. This is definitely a deal breaker. Maybe I'll try one more time. But lucky for me, my husband and I were in the area so of course we had to make our way in for brunch. We showed up 45 minutes til close. There was about a 25 to 30 minute wait. We decided to tough it out and kick it. I did ask if we would still get served since we will be sat towards closing. They said yes so we waited. There would be a wait anywhere else so why leave. I just found it so kind that they would be willing to still take us with the restaurant closing soon. It was busy which makes me so happy. Nothing brings me more joy than seeing a local business thrive. While hanging out, I was admiring the fun antiques that were decorated all over the restaurant. Talk about history and charm to this joint. Vintage cans, old cooking utensils, old school packages of Spam. There's so much history in this little venue. It's truly incredible to look at and appreciate. We were finally sat 20 minutes til closing. We got some coffee and apple juice started while we checked out the menu. After drinks were dropped off, we quickly ordered our food. My husband got chicken fried steak and I got the works omelet without the sausage. I believe they replaced it with extra ham. Food came out rather fast since we were the tail end of the day. And boy did everything look so good! My omelet looked massive. I was starving so I was so happy that it was big! The omelet was stuffed with green peppers, onions, ham, bacon and cheese. I also got a hearty side of hashbrowns. My husband got his country gravy that came with his country fried steak on the side for me. I was able to add it to my hashbrowns and omelet. Country gravy and hashbrowns is a top tier combination. And today's gravy and potatoes was money! My omelet was perfection. The onions and green peppers were nicely sautéed. There was a great amount of ham and bacon. The eggs were nicely cooked! Cheese that was in the middle was nice and melty. I ate the whole thing! Did I regret it later, yes but it was worth it! I finished half of my hashbrowns. Crispy on the outside, soft in the middle, these hashbrowns were fantastic! And the country gravy made them that much tastier. My husband enjoyed his breakfast. I most definitely enjoyed mine. Service was fabulous. Coffee was hot and always filled. Today's visit was truly fantastic. I heard that this joint is moving to Orchard. I look forward to coming and checking out the new venue. I know I won't be waiting another 20 years to come back. The food and the service was too good not to come back soon. I look forward to another omelet and one of their huge ass cinnamon rolls!
