Right off the bat the place was busy. That's always a good sign. Both my husband and I ordered the classic burger with sweet potato waffle fries (pictured). My son had the kid's chicken tenders, which was just their crispy chicken cut into strips. The waffle fries were perfect. Just the right amount of crunchy and the taste...so good. The burger was good but I didn't find it amazing. My husband on the other hand devoured his and declared it "good." I came here with family, which worked out nicely thanks to their ample seating and long benches. Just passing through Boise and saw the reviews on this place so I recommended it when lunch was brought up. I got the classic burger, and sweet potato waffle fries. The smash burger was good, but the fries were the best part. Crispy on the outside with sweet potato sweetness on the inside. My kid on the other hand didn't like his chicken tenders, which is just a chicken sandwich patty sliced up. I ate a chicken strip and could see why he didn't like them, they're lacking the breading all the way around, but they weren't bad. The service is top notch, the guy calling out the orders came to our table to differentiate each burger. The place gets busy but they handle the crowds well and move the line quickly. Was visiting family in Boise and we had lunch here. Oh my goodness...what a great place to visit! This restaurant is housed in a location that appears to have been a gas station at some point. There were a couple of other businesses in the same area. They have picnic benches outside and I saw a few fire pits as well with seating around them. Having it be the first time I've eaten here, the person at the counter was especially helpful navigating their menu and the drinks available. I ended up getting the Crispy Chicken sandwich with modifications, of course (it's me!). I asked for mayo on the side, sans the aioli and onion. This was, hands down, one of the best chicken sandwiches I've ever had! The patty was cooked perfectly, lightly breaded, and it was huge! Hung over the bun! I loved the bun, which was a brioche I believe? I also ordered fries, which were definitely not your typical frozen kind...I have to believe they cut their fries! They were cooked to perfection, crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. Such a great experience! I also had some of their ranch dressing for fry dipping...so good! Homemade with fresh herbs for sure! My nephew had the Power Bowl and I guess he orders this exclusively because he loves it! It was a good size bowl, full of tomatoes, brown rice, black beans, cabbage, shallots and cilantro. I had to get a bite and it was so fresh, clean, and healthy tasting! I came here on a Friday around three. First off, good luck finding parking. It is pretty much non-existent. I finally found a spot across the street. I went in and had to wait a bit because the people in front of me had absolutely no idea what they were doing and there was only one cashier. Seating was also really hard to find. It was busy. The girl at the register, her name is Challis. She was absolutely wonderful. She was very helpful. I ordered the Wyld Style burger with lettuce and tomato, the sweet potato fries, and every one of their dipping sauces. The burger had a nice crisp to it. I just wish the sauce they put on it had no flavor and that they seasoned the burger more. The sweet potato fries were crispy and salted very nicely. I also got one of every dipping sauce. The best one was the malt vinegar one. It had a nice tang/kick to it. Aji verde next, then the fry sauce. Last was the Wylder ranch. It was just ok. First, I think the burger and sweet potato fries were delicious! The average rating is due to the counter staff not being helpful. I ordered the Griddle burger with a gluten free bun. The sauce that comes on that burger is not gluten free, so it comes dry with what I suspect is an Udi's GF bun. I ended up discarding the GF bun. I recommend ordering bunless, if you require gluten free. The sweet potato waffle fries were cooked to perfection. This is definitely a happening place! Great smash burgers! We both got the wyld style burger which came with bacon jam, Gruyère cheese and black garlic Dijonnaise. We both made it a double and subbed the buns for gluten free buns. We asked the cashier what ingredient the GF buns were made of but she didn't know. I also inquired via Instagram DM about the type of GF buns but they also didn't know... are they rice flour, potato flour, etc? Please don't offer selections unless you can explain them. I was visiting from Seattle and tried this amazing spot. The vibe reminded me of a sitcom remake of Happy Days in which there were lots of teens and college age students, first dates, families, and super friendly staff that seem to know you by name. The ambiance was modern, fun, and a place where you would want to hang out inside and outside. The food was delicious and the portions were huge. Being accustomed to Seattle prices and close to 10 percent state tax, the prices for a burger and chicken sandwich is how they used to be. The chicken with the Asian slaw was really crispy and the breading was very nice. The fries "I believe they are cooked in beef fat" I don't recall have a nice consistency to them. The Idaho potato is very unique tasting and I love how each restaurants take on it maintains the integrity of the core potato flavors. The salad with bacon and ranch was very filling.
