Great place. Was hesitant after reading they had the "best burgers" in Treasure Valley. So many people overly hype burger places. I was impressed. Very good! Amazing service and played cool music. Sid's Garage downtown Boise is the perfect spot for delicious comfort food and stellar service. I was greeted and seated right away, and my server, Estella, completely elevated the evening. She was fantastic--friendly, prompt, and always smiling with a wonderful, accommodating personality. I started with the 'Setting Sun Sangria' (white wine, seasonal purée, fruit, champagne float), which was the perfect fruity, refreshing drink to kick off the meal. For the main event, I had the BLT Slider Trio. These are beautifully put together with 100% Wagyu beef, jalapeño candied bacon, lettuce, and tomato. The Sriracha bourbon sauce comes on the side. Every single bite was juicy, and you can really taste the flavor of the candied bacon paired with that hint of jalapeño. Dipping it into the bourbon sauce takes the flavor profile to the next level--absolutely amazing! I couldn't leave without dessert, so I had the Southern Belle (peach cobbler)--a heavenly mix of maple, caramel, peach jam, toffee, and rich vanilla ice cream. It's tough to find a place that's good AND good for kids, and so we really appreciate the laid back vibe. If I had one note, it'd be that the menu is in desperate need of freshness. Sid's Garage is such a fun burger place! It's so great for families or a quick casual dinner. They have a large variety of burgers that you can choose from customizations are available. It is sit down service, which is nice and yeah, I would say the surface is good. It comes out fast. The staff were all really nice and as you can see the burgers are very photogenic, but they also taste great I will definitely be going back. Looking for a delicious burger and Sid's came up. Pictures and in person the food looks delicious. Other customers seemed to enjoy their food as well. Service is awesome and attentive. Unfortunately, i'm not sure if it was a matter of cooking properly or seasoning but I did unfortunately get sick. Inside out: parking can be a bit of a pain, trying to come with my grandma who wanted to try the death by chocolate was a struggle. No handicap or accessible parking nearby do it was unloading a 90+ year old woman on a street and trying to time picking her up in traffic. Not their fault- just something to keep in mind. The inside is a nice set up but the music was a bit loud. Service: friendly and fast! The food: veggie burger and death by chocolate, wonderfully tasty! I got the hangover burger, and I noticed that the last few bites were almost raw, and I should've listened to my intuition and not eaten the rest of that burger, because boy did I get sick. We were looking forward to the downtown location as the Meridian location is on point and really good. However I would not recommend the DT Boise location. Traveled through Boise on tour a few days ago and popped into Sid's by chance. We came in about 20 minutes before close and were expecting attitude and eye rolls, but all the staff was super kind and the guys in the kitchen ended up absolutely crushing it. I got the PB&J burger and the loco fries. Some of the best food I've ever had. Absolutely delicious, cooked and seasoned wonderfully. The service was incredible as well. My band mates got wings and the trailer trash burger and they were both really stoked on their food. Our server was super prompt, had great energy, and just genuinely seemed to enjoy her job. I visited Boise and decided to go to Sid' Garage for my first meal there and everything about the place was amazing. The servers were great and we shared a laugh on how I was from California but they were so cool. The food was amazing. I had the Mimosa Flight and it was super. I am not a mimosa drinker but that was amazing. I also had the Classy Redneck Boozy Shake and it was perfect. Finally, the Boss Hogg Burger was super cool and with a side of tater tots (That were seasoned perfectly). I loved the vibe of the place. A little bit of the underground, punk rock feel. Such a fun idea! Great burgers and appetizers, AMAZING milkshakes. We went to the Village Meridian location and had an absolute blast. Service was quick, our waitress gave amazing recommendations (el jefe burger and the truffle fries). Ambiance is very fun, very casual. Loud music and chatter but not too loud that you can't have a conversation. Pricing is pretty reasonable! I believe we spent around $50 for everything. In town for the holidays and heard this place was good. Damn, it did not disappoint. I got the 208 burger. The brie, fig jam, and Granny Smith apple on a thick patty was killer! We also got the loco fries and they were also really tasty! The service was always asking if we wanted another drink or water filled. They're all awesome. The ambiance is decent. Very disappointed. They once had the best burger I have ever had. They removed it from the menu. They removed both the candied pork belly burger and the full throttle fries. Our Exchange student from Germany was visiting for Christmas and asked to eat there again. There were 5 of us and it ran $125ish dollars for mediocre burgers at best. I didn't even finish 1/2 of mine. We shared 1 basket of plain fries and had 2 drinks and 3 waters. Our exchange student finished his burger but said, "It wasn't as good good as the other burger." He was being kind. Honestly, 5 guys or Smash burgers its all the same as Sid's and at least you get fries and a drink with your meal at the other two, and know ALWAYS know what's on the menu. The music (classic rock) was okay but I was disappointed to the point I ate less than half of a burger, and I left the rest on the plate. You had something great, I recommended you guys to everyone looking for a great burger. Now I don't know how you manage to keep the doors open. I had to get on Facebook an offer my friends an apology for wasting their money. Worse part is, several friends replied they went and tried your food and wondered what I was talking about when I recommended you guys! The server was okay he could tell I wasn't happy. He did get our order wrong, and was very apologetic, but it was par for course of the experience. He brought us 5 pieces of bacon hanging from stupid wire thing, instead of the full throttle fries. He explained he was confused because they no longer serve the fries. Later he asked if I didn't like my burger, I told him honestly, "It was no better or worse than any other burger anywhere else, just more expensive. Very disappointing". To his credit he did asked if there was anything he could do to make our meal better. So there is that, and that at least you hired intuitive staff. Had I not been with family I would have simply walked out as soon as I discovered the menu changes. As for your response the reviews are all from the same account they didn't seem to be posting. I really don't post much on yelp, in fact I only have 1 other post so it should tell you how disappointed I was with your food. To be fair I removed one of the extras reviews. Went on the recommendation of a friend before visiting what I alter learned was their sister bar Gatsby. Our group agreed this was one of the best burgers we've all ever had and the chicken sandwich was awesome. i would easily pay much more for such a quality product. read more

I had high hopes for this restaurant. Our experience was good; just not as good as I had hoped it would be. Our server was wonderful. Very friendly. We sat outside along the sidewalk which was nice. Music was a nice mix. I had the "hangover" burger, which had a fried egg, cheese and bacon. It looked great, but was honestly lacking in flavor. Perhaps more salt needed? Pretzel bun was good. Tater tots were good and came with a dipping sauce that was good too. Hot chicken was quite hot indeed. Waffle with the hot chicken was a bit overdone. To summarize: cool spot, nice vibe, friendly folks, and just okay food. The worst part of all was I ordered a peanut butter beer on nitro. It was terrible, and I love beer. My only complaint was that the air conditioner wasn't working so it was HOT. We will definitely be back and huge props to all the employees working so hard in the heat.
