Came in close to closing time, and the bartender was sweet and accommodated us. They have a huge selection, but we were fairly intoxicated at the time and I only noted 2 drinks that evening. Dry cider 5/5 Schilling mango cider 5/5 Very promising stuff, and as a plus they have stickers 2 for $1. Love it. Can't wait to come back!

The sours are fantastic, and the everything else is consistently great as well. Friendly staff & great venue as well. Favorite brewery in Boise by a good amount.

Overall decent brewery, has one of the larger selections from the few we had been to over the weekend. The Irish Stout was pretty good, a bit better than Guinness. They were attentive to us and overall a nice little place.

The totally awesome Gose Bang Bang from Barbarian Brewing!

I got to try Barbarian Brewing at their downtown location recently. I was at their other location in 2022. At this point... and I haven't been to all of the Boise breweries but Barbarian thus far is one of my favorite breweries in the city. I have some other favorites too but Barbarian is one of them. For their downtown location I got their Gose Bang Bang! which was a fruited gose from their Candy Sour series. Flavor highlights to find with this great gose are grapefruit, peach and citrus. Barbarian so does tartness well and they certainly do in this case and it is really a lot of fun to experience the different flavors with this gose. Very impressive complexity. I am also all about brewery swag and Barbarian has a lot of great t shirts which I spent a fair amount of money on that alone so those of you who like viking or barbarian themed brewery swag to go representing in then this is the place to get it in Boise!

Outstanding variety of beer and it seemed like they had food to share as well if we needed it. I liked the ambiance and the service as well as the atmosphere that consisted of live music. It created a wonderful informal vibe that's what I look forward to. I had a 6 beer taster and would recommend that for someone dabbling in this brewery for the first time

Finally, a brewery that specializes in sours! With 24 beers on tap, and 10 of them being sours I was in paradise. Flights consisted of 6 pours, even though they had enough sours to fill the board I went with 3 sours, 2 hazys and a porter. To my luck they had accidentally poured the wrong sour so I ended up getting 4 of them on top of the other beers. Seating outside was limited but indoor seating was plentiful and spread out. Most tables were a few seats at barrels, but they had a nice long table that is good for groups or could be used as a communal table, which was the case for us. Loved that the menu board didn't just have the beer names but actually told you about them, made the selection process much easier, though it was still tough since they all sounded pretty damn good! Though these weren't the best beers I've had, some were really good and all were pretty unique. Had a great time and would definitely come back here for a flight next time I find myself in downtown Boise.

This brewery was great - had lots of seating and chill atmosphere. The bartenders let us try a bunch of drinks and gave good recommendations for us! Also good prices for drinks. I really like the indoor seating, lots of barrel tables and stools/couches, definitely creates a good hangout atmosphere! Music was fun and we stayed there for awhile

Barbarian Brewery provides a remarkable selection of delicious beers. There is ample and varied seating indoors and outdoors. The Earl Grey Sour is one of the most drinkable sours and unique beer flavors I've enjoyed in years. Worth noting, Barbarian is a female owned and managed brewery. I'm glad to see the contributions from the other half of our population to beer tasting on a large scale.

My flight of sours!

Amazing wide selection on tap! I love sours and there were so many to choose from The hey Arnold! (An Arnold Palmer sour) was my absolute favorite. Would come back to Boise just to get this again

Barbarian is almost always one of my first stops when I get to Boise. I LOVE sour beer and they consistently make amazing, creative, and tasty brews. So many places are hit or miss with the sours or have a small selection, but I consistently can get a flight here and love every. single. one. The descriptions are always super accurate. The staff is super friendly and the vibe is great. They have games, coloring books, and tables that are actually large enough to play and drink at.

Sour w/ Pop Rocks & Quad IPA

Awesome beer in Boise! We visited the Barbarian Brewing Downtown Taproom and had a great time. Though Barbarian is based in nearby Garden City, Idaho, it's smart for the company to have this downtown Boise location for visitors to check out. I only wish I could easily get this in my neck of the woods. It was crazy busy on a Friday night. But my bestie and I were able to snag two bar stools at a communal table. You order at the bar and get your beer right there and then. There was A LOT to choose from when we visited. You can do a flight and sample any of the beers. I first ordered a quadruple IPA and then a s'mores porter, which were both fantastic. My bestie who loves sours had a beer that had pop rocks with! The beers are inventive, and are executed well. I'll be honest, I was a little skeptical when I heard about the s'mores porter since I don't like sweet beers, but figured it was worth a try since I love s'mores. And it exceeded my expectations. Barbarian is a must for anyone who loves craft beer! You will not be disappointed with the wide selection of quality, creative beers here. Just make sure to bring your own food or get delivery from one of the many nearby restaurants around. Glad we visited Barbarian.

Awesome beer flights!

We stumbled upon Barbarian when we were doing a little wine tour of Garden City. So glad we did! They have such unique flavors. It's a great place to just hang out and have fun!

Check out the menu! So many options! #12 was my favorite

Almost made me want to move here, they were easy to talk to and were completely personal with their conversations. I ordered the flight of 4, 5-oz samples with an additional 2 more. Making it a 6-sample flight consisting of 30 oz of beer. What I ordered was their Recoil IPA (citrus), Rustler IPA (malty), Mutton Buster (brown ale), Oktoberfest (marzen lager), with the additional two of the Aura (hibiscus sour), and Sofa King Dreamy (tropical IPA). This place was absolutely amazing, from the outside drinking areas to the bathrooms. The bathroom was something I wasn't suspecting, all the way to the bonfire pit that was so huge, to even the forest of the wandering drinkers. I did come pretty close to close and the staff was still awesome and easy to work with. They weren't done with their shift and irrtitated which I see most of the time. I ended up buying some merchandise and some beer togo. If I lived here, I can totally see myself coming by this spot frequently. Way to go Payette Brewing, I would highly recommend checking this place out!!

They have a cute tent set up like a forest/campground with picnic tables and other seating for guests to enjoy. This is a great space out of the elements (although we've had an extremely mild winter this year). I ordered the Le'Bois cocktail then a beer. Both were delicious. The bartenders were polite and service was very quick. The fire pit outside puts off a lot of heat and was perfect for the brisk evening last night. I have also been here in the summer time with my family and the outdoor courtyard is a good space for the kids to run around and we usually order them dinner for the rotating food trucks they have available. Also note, they are dog friendly. There were lots of sweet pups there last night. Just remember to bring a poop bag just in case.

My co workers and I headed to Bittercreek for my birthday and happy hour! We were killing two birds…read morewith one stone today and we were all here for it! A couple of my friends showed up first, got a great table outside and ordered a couple apps to get the party started. I showed up after goodies and drinks were ordered. We started off with some chips and salsa and pountine. The chips and salsa looked good but the pountine was definitely calling my name! I love me some potatoes and these potatoes looked like they were going to be right up my alley! I dished up a good portion before my friends got some. They were kind to let me plate first cause of my new kidney. I didn't want to be too greedy so the portion I got was a few bites. Those few bites got me hooked so it was a must to get another order started. While my order of pountine was being worked on, I tried the pretzel with cheese and the hummus plate. The pretzel was perfectly salted. The cheese sauce was the perfect addition to the soft pretzel. I took a good amount of the hummus and Greek salad. The pita that came with it was a great vessel for the hummus. It was crispy with a slight chew to it. The hummus was clean tasting and rich. The Greek salad was so fresh. All the components of the salad tasted like they were just picked from the garden. You literally can't get anymore farm to table than that! It was so fresh! The second order of pountine came out. Everything about this appetizer was delicious! I love soggy, softer fries and these fries were the business! The gravy and cheese were the highlight of the dish for me. You can never go wrong with potatoes, cheese and gravy! There was a good amount of meat on the pountine. It was so tender! You can tell it was cooked with a lot of love and time! I took the rest home and I plan on hiding my box in the back of my fridge so my daughter can't get to it! We ended our happy hour with the beignets. Each one of these goodies were covered in powered sugar. The caramel sauce that was paired with it was devine! In all honesty, as full as I was, I could have polished off an order myself! They were the perfect dessert to end this fabulous meal. Bittercreek has been on my to go list for a hot minute. I'm so happy we got to come here and celebrate my birthday. The food was marvelous. Our server did a fantastic job taking care of us! Our waters were always filled. Our cocktails were never dry. And our plates were always filled cause food was always ordered on time for us. Homie was on point tonight! The venue can't be any more stunning. The weather was lovely. We were meant to be here today! In so happy we started my birthday week off at Bittercreek!

I don't know that I have ever given a brewery a 5 Star review...this makes sense!…read more I have been doing my little Fish & Chips search through Boise and I will have to say, this place is Hands Down the best yet that I have found! Now I have been here a few times and I like the place. The service is good, especially in the bar. The place is very open and has great light and fresh air which I always love. Add to that some great food and creative cocktails and you have a winner! They have a great Old Fashion that is a creation of one of the bartenders and I think is just a fantastic drink! Balanced flavor, a little sweet but not too sweet...with a nice bourbon finish to it! Now back to the Fish & Chips...I have had them twice now, with the same cocktail to chase them down. These are what Fish & Chips are meant to be. The batter is light with a great crunch, not heavily breaded but a light flavorful batter! Fries are good, home-made tartar sauce which always hits...and all the items you want with them...lemon, vinegar and for me mustard! I will be back, over and over again. for a drink, some good service and the best Fish & Chips when I am having that craving! KT

I visited 10 Barrel Brewing recently with my fiancé, and while there were some high points…read moreregarding the flavors and service, the experience was a bit of a mixed bag. To start, I tried the Pickletini. As a fan of pickle-forward drinks, I found it "not bad"--a solid choice if you enjoy that briny profile. My fiancé opted for the All Ways Down Double IPA flight. At 9% ABV, it was a heavy hitter, but he really enjoyed the intense hop aroma and flavor provided by the Cryo Hops. For my main, I ordered the TNT Sando (Tri-Tip with bacon jam and garlic aioli) on Gaston's grilled focaccia. I requested it without pickles, and it was excellent. I paired it with the Black Bean and Veggie soup, which was a standout--perfectly delicious with a nice "zing" to it. Unfortunately, the meal hit a significant snag with my fiancé's Fish & Chips. The beer and cornmeal tempura batter was extremely thick (nearly 3/4 of an inch in some spots) and the fish was overcooked. Additionally, the blue cheese dressing on his side salad was very runny and tasted off. It was disappointing enough that we had to send it back. We replaced it with The Spicy Italian pizza. This was a total 180--it arrived looking beautiful, and the combination of the meats, pepperoncinis, and hot honey was absolutely delicious. Our server, Casey P., was generally good and attentive, though we did have to wait to start our meal because we weren't initially provided with napkins or silverware. A minor note on the atmosphere: the table we were seated at had "gay" carved into the wood, which felt a bit out of place for the professional vibe of the rest of the establishment. Overall, the TNT Sando, the pizza, and the beers are worth coming back for, but the kitchen consistency on the fried items definitely needs some work.
