Blue cheese fries

I can always find something here! I normally go with the veggie sandwich but I switch around a bit and have yet to be disappointed. When the weather is nicer, enjoy the patio and in the colder months, thankfully they expanded (years ago) to offer more space for eating. It can get packed so there is likely to be a wait on the busier days. Service and food tends to be on par most days but the best is when it is a bit busier (afternoon/early evening). I love that there are so many gluten free and veg options indicated with the symbols on the menu. When I have friends in town that have different dietary needs, I always add Cloud 9 to the list of food options because I know they will have something for everyone. Parking plenty!

CHILD'S PORTION OF FISH AND CHIPS

Quick bite before hockey game. Service was very quick and it was a full house. Plenty of parking. Got the kid's portion of fish & chips and their Pesto Chicken sandwich with hand-cut fries. Topped off with their Pilsner on tap and a canned Cider. Pilsner was really smooth. Food was good. Totally recommend, but some should scrub their table tops, they are sticky.

Thrilling beer options at Cloud 9 Brewing!

I loved going to Cloud 9 Brewing but I was in a brief conundrum on what beer to get here. They had a Breakfast Stout, a Ginger Dunkel, an Earl Grey Stout, Honey Basil and a Dandelion Ale. It was a brief amount of torture as to what I was going to get but a taster tray was an option so I got to try all those delightful beers. And they were all delightful. I can't really say which one I liked best but if I absolutely had to make a choice I think it would have been the Earl Grey Stout as it tasted great and I have an abundant fondness towards the tea. But all of the beers were creative and experimental in nature than one many breweries do and therefore Cloud 9 gets five stars with ease there. Also I got a bite to eat, something light... a garden salad which was wonderful ! Very fresh and enjoyable from beginning to end. I highly recommend Cloud 9 when in Boise!

Been in here lots of times and enjoyed the burgers and skewers but I recently ordered a green curry lemongrass risotto that was a Sunday night special and was blown away. So so good

They have LOTS of tasty delicious gluten free options! However beware that the gluten free burger comes DRY with no condiments on it. And then if you ask for fry sauce for it- you are charged $.50 We found this place on Yelp and I was so excited for their flourless chocolate cake, but then when I got here realized the photo on yelp was 10years old. And the flourless cake wasn't an option anymore. Disappointing! but the chicken tortilla soup, and chicken street tacos were good! The bathrooms had the sinks to wash your hands OUTSIDE of the bathrooms, which was weird and grossed me out as the interior door handles have to be riddled in all sorts of nasty germs and there were no paper towels or anything except TP to use to open it with. AND then you get to be grossed out by seeing people not wash their hands.

Goat cheese / Sheep cheese skwerers with hucklberries / sauce!

Another night - another need for good local beers and food... The highlight before I even had a single beer / flight was the server Michael as well as a another bar patron who gave me an amazing taste overview of one of the beers I was considering. She was spot-frigging on with this Imperial Stout FYI... All the beers were great but Micheal wisely reconmended the Goat/Sheep cheese skewers for me and they were da BOMB!!! Never had anything quite like them and Wow! They did NOT disappoint... Hoped to hit this place a second night but time didn't permit. I REALLY LOVED Boise and wanna get back soon!

Beer!

Great food and service. Beer is always flavorful and cold. I tried their salad this time and the salmon was amazing.

Roasted Veggie Sandwich with Kale Caesar

Food was pretty good (not amazing but above mediocre), but the service was pretty dang bad ): Most noteworthy, my husband ordered a beer and they brought out a HALF glass and said "the tap just gave out, you can choose a half pour of something else"... uhhhh either just say your out and he needs to choose a different beer or give us the half on the house and let him pick a different beer? SUCH an odd way to handle that situation. I would give less stars but im choosing to believe it was an off night for the staff. We will give it one more try to see if we have a different experience! Everything took forever, from ordering to getting our food to paying the bill, but the staff looked frantic like maybe they were short staffed and trying their best to keep up.

Ask the Community - Cloud 9 Brewery

Would like to try. But we have kids. We've done breweries with them before but curious if this is a place that would welcome them?

Yep! I've seen kids there...plus they serve food, so I believe as long as you are in the patio or at the tables inside (ie... not at the bar) you're all good!

Let's get this on the table first. I do not write reviews of anything. Partially because I don't…read morethink that my opinion means much but this had to be done. Bittercreek provided me with just what I needed today. Warm and inviting service and a terrific selection of food and beverages for me to enjoy. Dined alone at the bar and everyone that I came into contact with did what I expect. Timely greet and informative service personnel. Hats off to the whole team. Was talked into a Chardonnay from the Willamette Valley and it was spectacular. I usually stick to Willamette Valley reds but went for it after a tiny taste. It's what I needed but didn't know it until it was offered. Too many times I stick to my wheelhouse and don't stray but was coerced by someone who I assumed was the inhouse shotcaller. I had two glasses and it went well with the Bowl of Corn Chowder I was told about. Served hot and with some semi crusty sourdough that hit the spot. Finished every spoonful and it brought me back to my time in New England. The soup was done right for sure. Noone trying too hard which is an issue when trying to recreate a coastal favorite while land locked in the mountain state of Idaho. Right before I had.my second glass of Chardonnay, I asked "the front of the house shot caller" about the selection of Rums and was offered a taste of one that could have been a contender for my follow up beverage. No mixer needed. Would have made a great sipper, as most good rums can be but I elected for the second glass of Chardonnay. Glad that I did. Was feeling a bit buzzed and full from my meal and had to exit stage left before trying a dessert. I'm sure it would have been epic but I'm thin for a reason and don't overindulge. Thank you Bittercreek! My visit with you all made me wonder why I hadn't been in since 2006 or 2007. I'll, certainly, be visitong more often and will bring others with. You've got a fan in me!

Let's just start off with this is going to be a long review…read more I have visited this place twice now and both times have been absolutely great. My first time my server was Jeff and I had lunch, which was a beer and spicy Lamberger, which was supposed to be medium rare. The lamb burger had definitely a good kick to it, but was about medium medium well. But I'm not holding that against this place because the burger tasted absolutely phenomenal. The second visit I went with a large party and we all were pretty enthusiastic with our conversation. Our server name was Kierstan. She did an amazing job handling our whole table. The table start off with appetizers of wings, as well as chips and salsa for the whole table. Multiple drink drinks were ordered and she handled that with care. We all ordered lots of food, which I ordered the focaccia bread Sammy with the poutine side. Both orders were absolutely delicious. The bathroom was immaculate and the cooks cooked very cleanly and both servers did a great job at two different times. Great job to Jeff and Kierstan because Bittercreek is better because they have you. I highly recommend this place as an alehouse many beers on tap and in bottles. The menu is deep with lots of flavor and options.

With its varied menu and delicious happy hour selection this place could be a favorite for a wide variety of the local population. Classy, welcoming with engaging staff. While the selections of taps are diverse and smart for diners, it is the kitchen that is the real star here. We tried the Happy Hour fare (3-5 pm). See the pics for details. We also tried the Kobe sliders, but they fell short of the Chicken Sliders with their tender, juicy cuts of breast. The lineup of drinks are on full display at the bar and with scannable menus. This is a solid place for bringing friends or family for a gathering - yes, like the name suggests "Common". If anyone in your group cannot find a drink and meal to their liking, then you need to replace that person from your social circle or family. 2 hour free parking directly behind the building makes this location much better than the downtown businesses in the liberal ghetto of Boise where they will soon tax the air you breathe. Here, the pricing will not require you to take out a second mortgage as the Boise elites would have you do for eating in their downtown. It is no surprise that more quality dining places are opening in cities like Eagle, Caldwell, Nampa and Meridian where Idahoans can enjoy life.

I don't know that I have ever given a brewery a 5 Star review...this makes sense!…read more I have been doing my little Fish & Chips search through Boise and I will have to say, this place is Hands Down the best yet that I have found! Now I have been here a few times and I like the place. The service is good, especially in the bar. The place is very open and has great light and fresh air which I always love. Add to that some great food and creative cocktails and you have a winner! They have a great Old Fashion that is a creation of one of the bartenders and I think is just a fantastic drink! Balanced flavor, a little sweet but not too sweet...with a nice bourbon finish to it! Now back to the Fish & Chips...I have had them twice now, with the same cocktail to chase them down. These are what Fish & Chips are meant to be. The batter is light with a great crunch, not heavily breaded but a light flavorful batter! Fries are good, home-made tartar sauce which always hits...and all the items you want with them...lemon, vinegar and for me mustard! I will be back, over and over again. for a drink, some good service and the best Fish & Chips when I am having that craving! KT

I visited 10 Barrel Brewing recently with my fiancé, and while there were some high points…read moreregarding the flavors and service, the experience was a bit of a mixed bag. To start, I tried the Pickletini. As a fan of pickle-forward drinks, I found it "not bad"--a solid choice if you enjoy that briny profile. My fiancé opted for the All Ways Down Double IPA flight. At 9% ABV, it was a heavy hitter, but he really enjoyed the intense hop aroma and flavor provided by the Cryo Hops. For my main, I ordered the TNT Sando (Tri-Tip with bacon jam and garlic aioli) on Gaston's grilled focaccia. I requested it without pickles, and it was excellent. I paired it with the Black Bean and Veggie soup, which was a standout--perfectly delicious with a nice "zing" to it. Unfortunately, the meal hit a significant snag with my fiancé's Fish & Chips. The beer and cornmeal tempura batter was extremely thick (nearly 3/4 of an inch in some spots) and the fish was overcooked. Additionally, the blue cheese dressing on his side salad was very runny and tasted off. It was disappointing enough that we had to send it back. We replaced it with The Spicy Italian pizza. This was a total 180--it arrived looking beautiful, and the combination of the meats, pepperoncinis, and hot honey was absolutely delicious. Our server, Casey P., was generally good and attentive, though we did have to wait to start our meal because we weren't initially provided with napkins or silverware. A minor note on the atmosphere: the table we were seated at had "gay" carved into the wood, which felt a bit out of place for the professional vibe of the rest of the establishment. Overall, the TNT Sando, the pizza, and the beers are worth coming back for, but the kitchen consistency on the fried items definitely needs some work.

My husband and I really wanted to like this place! The setting is wonderful and the ambience is…read morereally nice. We had breakfast there this morning and it was just OK. We both got the traditional eggs Benedict... and I ate maybe 15% of my breakfast and just stopped. My husband ate all of his... but mostly because he was just hungry... Much like our Labrador who will eat absolutely anything! Haha. But he said it was only OK. He rated it a 5/10. What he disliked the most was the potatoes. They were fairly hard/tough and tasted like they were fried in old oil and sitting under heat lamps for two hours before we got them. They were very dehydrated as well. For me... The hollandaise sauce was fresh, but had no flavor. It needed more lemon or salt or something. The ham was odd... I'm a little too salty. It seemed like Hillshire Farms sliced ham. Not something you would expect at a nice restaurant in your eggs Benedict. Also, I ordered an Arnold Palmer... And it was so sour that I had to send it back. I poured like a heaping teaspoon of sugar into it, and it didn't even make a difference.... It was that sour. It actually started to make my stomach hurt a little. So I sent it back. And the waitress was very nice, and didn't charge me for it. The service was good... But they cram everyone in there on one side of the restaurant... at least outside. I have no idea why... They have all this space in front of their restaurant and yet they try and cram everybody right next to each other. It was very annoying, and made me just wanna leave. They have many tables on the other side like 10 feet away... But they insisted on cramming everybody into the same small area. And you could tell nobody wanted to be that close to one another. I'm not sure if they do this to make it easier for their servers... Or to make the restaurant look busy. Either way, it's a practice that they really should stop. My advice to the restaurant... Utilize your space outside in front, stop cramming people so close together. When you have to get up and move your chair so someone can get to their table... it's ridiculous! On a positive note... Their coffee was actually really good! Some of the best that we've had in a restaurant in many many years. And I know, I mentioned it above, but I should mention it again... The weight staff was wonderful. From the girl who greeted us at the front podium, to our waitress, and the waitressing training. Everyone was wonderful. So, to end this review... I can only comment on the breakfast. We didn't have anything else there, and maybe it will be good... But I'm not sure if I'm willing to give this place another try. Good luck!
