This was an impromptu Fathers Day Brunch...couldn't remember being here until I walked up....then it came back. Now I know I have not eaten here before...we did stop in a couple of times and once left because nothing on the HH menu looked good to us at that time. The second time we walked out after sitting there for 10-15 minutes and not getting any service! Now it was a beautiful morning and my gf really wanted to go here, great patio I will say. It took a bit seeing that we didn't have a reservation but we did get seated on the patio. Now I will say the service was not great but it was not an issue for the most part, I thought our waitress did a good job she was just really busy! What I will judge was the wait and the food! I love the fact they care about their ingredients, what they use and where they get it...it showed in some ways! What I didn't love was the fact they absolutely sucked on the follow through! I had the crab eggs Benedict...now I remember from culinarily school that hollandaise sauce is hard, but making it without it breaking is a MUST! Mine was broken, fat separated out, something you would never see at a half ass breakfast place like Dennys!! This was gross, pure and simple! My gfs breakfast came out wrong...took a while to get it the first time and even longer to get the right dish!!! It was an eggswhite Frittata, they do not take long to make in a very small cast iron! Now the part that I really didn't like...she paid, she is not my baby momma, love of my life but not mother of my daughter...and she paid the whole bill!! She should not have been charged for the Frittata...it took forever to get the right one and then she didn't eat much of it at all, we were done time wise and it was not good...very bland and rubbery!! She wouldn't let me complain since she was paying, she is so sweet and kind, just that kind of person! I was tempted to quietly track down the manager...but didn't! Should have! My husband and I really wanted to like this place! The setting is wonderful and the ambience is really nice. We had breakfast there this morning and it was just OK. We both got the traditional eggs Benedict... and I ate maybe 15% of my breakfast and just stopped. My husband ate all of his... but mostly because he was just hungry... Much like our Labrador who will eat absolutely anything! Haha. But he said it was only OK. He rated it a 5/10. What he disliked the most was the potatoes. They were fairly hard/tough and tasted like they were fried in old oil and sitting under heat lamps for two hours before we got them. They were very dehydrated as well. For me... The hollandaise sauce was fresh, but had no flavor. It needed more lemon or salt or something. The ham was odd... I'm a little too salty. It seemed like Hillshire Farms sliced ham. Not something you would expect at a nice restaurant in your eggs Benedict. Also, I ordered an Arnold Palmer... And it was so sour that I had to send it back. I poured like a heaping teaspoon of sugar into it, and it didn't even make a difference.... It was that sour. It actually started to make my stomach hurt a little. So I sent it back. And the waitress was very nice, and didn't charge me for it. The service was good... But they cram everyone in there on one side of the restaurant... at least outside. I have no idea why... They have all this space in front of their restaurant and yet they try and cram everybody right next to each other. It was very annoying, and made me just wanna leave. They have many tables on the other side like 10 feet away... But they insisted on cramming everybody into the same small area. And you could tell nobody wanted to be that close to one another. I'm not sure if they do this to make it easier for their servers... Or to make the restaurant look busy. Either way, it's a practice that they really should stop. My advice to the restaurant... Utilize your space outside in front, stop cramming people so close together. When you have to get up and move your chair so someone can get to their table... it's ridiculous! On a positive note... Their coffee was actually really good! Some of the best that we've had in a restaurant in many many years. And I know, I mentioned it above, but I should mention it again... The weight staff was wonderful. From the girl who greeted us at the front podium, to our waitress, and the waitressing training. Everyone was wonderful. So, to end this review... I can only comment on the breakfast. We didn't have anything else there, and maybe it will be good... But I'm not sure if I'm willing to give this place another try. Good luck! read more

Beet roasted salad with Salmon: Not great. Salmon was the worst i've ever had I hate to say. Should have been cooked longer in my opinion just seemed near raw. Wanted to try this place out because the restaurant next to it is super nice. The ambiance feels classy and the staff are helpful. It felt really cozy as well. By the looks of it my expectations were up there but as we got our food it was disappointing :( We ordered the calamari, meatballs, fries and "KFC" which was breaded cauliflower. Besides the meatballs which were also on the okay side, the food was overly greasy and either too cooked or not cooked enough. The fries were super deep fried and the oil they used to cook them tasted old. The calamari was not fried enough because the texture was rubbery and it tasted oddly fishy, like the smell of uncooked fish - very hard to eat and I really like calamari. The KFC meal item was good, more in the healthy side which I liked. Meatballs were also good but they're supposed to be lamb meatballs and I didn't even taste the lamb, the sauce was the star of the dish. Overall, the ambiance was great and so were the staff but the food not so good. Bill with tip was 80ish bucks for food that wasn't that good. read more

The waitstaff was great- super friendly, great with kids, and patient! With a baby, it's a slow process to order and finish a meal. I didn't feel rushed during any part of the process. We caught a weekend brunch here, and we are so glad we went. We had limited days in town, and my wife had this as her #1 researched brunch place pre-trip. Fiona was our bartender, and we were her first bar customers. She greeted us with high energy, and her service was spotless for our visit. The food and drink ended up being fantastic too, but she really put the exclamation point on our visit overall. I kept it simple with beer, but my wife had two excellent cocktails while there. I admittedly neglected to write down the exact name of them, but my notes say they were a lavender tea drink and an herby Cosmopolitan. Just ask Fiona or whoever is behind the bar when you go. They will lead you the correct way. Picture of one is below. Anyway, I had the short rib hash and the wife had the eggs in purgatory, and both were incredible. The atmosphere was really unique. We were looking for a lunch place with outside seating, and this restaurant seemed to fit the bill. After walking in, two hostesses explained where we could sit. My wife had the Huevos Rancheros, which she said were only luke warm, and the cheese inside was not melted all the way and rubbery. Brunch at Red Feather Lounge did not disappoint I had the Rancheros Verdes and it was amazing, just the right amount of spice, and the locally sourced seared cheese curds totally stole the show for me, I was obsessed. The pork was tender and packed with flavor. Paired it with the Venetian Mimosa, which was light, refreshing, and such a perfect brunch drink. I also tried the house-made buttermilk biscuits; a little dense for my taste, but the flavor was good and the house made strawberry jam they serve with them was sooo good it made up for it. The staff is BEYOND friendly, polite and knowledgeable...drinks are amazing! Don't try to duplicate your drink at home...you'll never be able to find Cornish Clotted Creme Gin anywhere, but ingredients like this are commonplace at Red Feather...and they are used to make unbelievably fantastic drinks. The perfect bite to go with coffee in my opinion. We then had an assortment of dishes including waffle, eggs Benedict, and a traditional fried egg breakfast. The food was excellent and enjoyed by all. The service was friendly and I give high marks for all of that. The seating area noise however is poorly planned and you end up on top of people. And the noise was intense and jarring with one patron who made me literally shake with her laughs in conversation. This was my second visit to Red Feather, and it was absolutely fabulous. My roommates and I came here on a Sunday for brunch. We arrived in the 11am hour, and there were no walk-in tables available (aside from the bar). We put our names on the waitlist and popped over to the District for a cup of coffee. After 30ish minutes, we got a text alert that our table was ready. We walked back over to the restaurant and were sat at a lovely table right next to the window. Our server was so friendly and quick to help me decide between the brisket hash and huevos rancheros. I went with his suggestion and ordered ruevos Rancheros - this was lovely! The pork was cooked in a savory chile verde sauce, served over a bed of black beans. Atop it all was corn tortillas, two eggs sunny-side up, and salsa. I highly recommend this dish, it's what Sunday brunch dreams are made of! read more

What a treat! Brunch was wonderful. Make a reservation because this place was packed! We were quickly taken to our upstairs table. The glass cube wine display with the spiral staircase is so cool! The brunch menu is super fun with lots of options. Order the LARGE mimosa to share! Well worth the $12. I went with the huevos rancheros. SO YUM! A full layer of grilling cheese! The salsa had the perfect amount of spice, and the eggs were cooked perfect. We also wanted to try the beignets with butterscotch because- YUM! Our server Luke, smartly suggested we enjoy them as dessert after the meal. Perfect touch. Our "Fancy, french, fried donuts" (as Luke called them) were the perfect way to end our meal.
