Owned by the same family but run by Issac and Ness who are amazing hosts. Great cocktail/wine knowledge and very friendly. The entire staff is awesome. The food is different from next door but share the same kitchen. Maybe the best Bacon Black and Blue burger on the planet. Also try the Stroganoff or the salmon. Joining the group of speakeasies in Boise, Sidecar is admirable. Nice owner, good glassware, and standard cocktails. Went only for HH which they make a $6 old fashioned with well Bourbon. Still did the orange expression but no maraschino cherry. We went to Grant's and a lot of the time they are full when we need a last minute reservation. If so, go to the sidecar, you not only can order off the same grants menu but you can also sit and have some amazing cocktails from their amazing bartender crew. High end mixology happening here. Wife and checked this place out after a friend recommended. I am very critical about my whiskey sours and mine was top notch. My wife was recommended an Italian Espresso Martini and that was a major hit. We order the crab cakes and those were amazing. Lil Sumpthin' was very refreshing and tasted like Christmas in a cup. For appetizers we got the pork belly. The sauce was tasty and the jalepenos were a nice flavorful touch. My husband got the Big Bleu Burger with bacon. He said it was one of the best burgers he's ever had. I stole some fries and they were the best fries I've ever had. I got the Brutus Salad which was pretty good but there was one flavor I wasn't sure of that was a little strong in my opinion. I'd say the drinks are obviously the main aspect of this place and they are phenomenal! Service: 5/5. We were quickly seated, our food came in good time, and the servers/bartenders were very friendly and great! Atmosphere: 5/5. We got there right at 4:00 because we knew it can get busy, sat at bar, guy threw drink menus and then he was doing all the prep work totally ignoring us for ten minutes, then we got drinks, ordered an app, had to ask for menu's to eat then four others came on shift, still wasn't busy, the food was good but total sh?!$& show for service then they screwed up bill. We're over here in the valley for or nephew's wedding and decided to explore. We found this place and it's worth stopping in. Isaac was our bartender and he was very helpful in explaining the drink menu. We tried the calamari and tempura green beans and both were delicious. Isaac is a master mixologist. Our entire experience was amazing from start to finish. We tasted a few cocktails and each were delicately detailed and described, and were equally delicious. Would give zero stars if I could. My wife and I went in, hoping to have a couple of apps and a couple of drinks. The sign said seat yourself, so we did. The bar tender came over and told us that the table was reserved. There were "reserved" placards on a couple of other tables, but not that one. He suggested a different table but said he would need to clean it up first, and he kinda acted like it was a hassle. He suggested we sit at the bar, so we did. Until he told us the two seats we sat at were reserved, and the only two available seats were next to the only other people sitting at the bar. We left hungry and thirsty. read more

Went there on a Friday and there were maybe 6 people in the place including us. The bartender was also the waiter and he seemed to be more concerned with chatting with the people at the bar. We asked for super simple food modifications (leave these off please). The orders came with. My friend spoke with him at the bar two different time about the check being split. He then came to the table after dropping off a single check and asked how we wanted to pay. Again, a total of 6 people in the place. I've been there several times before (it was WAY busier) and it has always been great, so this was disappointing, especially when it was the first time for my friend to visit. Just opened and is fantastic! Has a 20's feel and is a great place to grab a quick cocktail. We ordered the Cherry Lane Sour. The presentation was so good I hoped the flavor matched the look and I wasn't disappointed. Great place to grab a quick drink.
