The beer we had was a barleywine type which is a kind we don't often get but always enjoy when we do. The name of this particular beer was Shake and Date. The flavors to enjoy in this stronger ABV beer is Vanilla, Marshmallow and Dates. That is probably where the name comes in on that last flavor feature. The beer is sweet but more in a natural, evolved (mature) way and the beer is barrel aged so it's definitely going to pack a whallop. Another great beer from this brewery and it was great checking out this brewery location for the first time.
