I eat one whole egg roll with it but something feels wrong the whole time. I realize that I'm 99% sure this is au jus. I look at the menu again, yep they have a French dip sandwich that get served with au jus. Christ! I was supposed to get consommé and sweet chili and I got freaking au jus?? I told my husband we are not paying for this. He talks to the bartender, they take it off the bill. I was very excited to try this item and left disappointed. Update from my husband - the bartender said there were two orders for the egg rolls at the same time. One normal (ours) and one To Go with au jus and apparently the orders got swapped. That trend still is solid and on course as I am going to come in with a very high score for the latest beer we had from this brewery at their Meridian location. The beer we had was a barleywine type which is a kind we don't often get but always enjoy when we do. The name of this particular beer was Shake and Date. The flavors to enjoy in this stronger ABV beer is Vanilla, Marshmallow and Dates. That is probably where the name comes in on that last flavor feature. The beer is sweet but more in a natural, evolved (mature) way and the beer is barrel aged so it's definitely going to pack a whallop. Another great beer from this brewery and it was great checking out this brewery location for the first time.
