This place is such a cool hideaway of a speakeasy. It's right in the heart of downtown Nampa but tucked down (literally down in a basement) and away from the crowds walking the street up above. The entrance to this place is a door between Paddle Up Poké and Antlers Boutique. Once you enter, you go down a set of stairs into a very trendy and clean speakeasy known as, yep, you guessed it, The Sick Stag. This place has quite eclectic decor, taxidermy, and cave-like booths that really separate you from others. This place is perfect for a date with your special someone, a fun night out with friends, or even as part of a bachelor or bachelorette celebration. The staff here are super friendly and helpful. They even have mocktail options and can likely make most drinks non-alcoholic, keeping it fun for those looking to refrain from alcohol. Their appetizers are also really good! Their prices are also fair and not to ridiculous which is amazing. Be sure to make a reservation, especially if you are planning to go on a weekend. Overall, I highly recommend this hidden gem in the middle of downtown Nampa! They even have clean bathrooms!

Definitely the coolest hidden gem in Nampa. If you are looking for a speakeasy style bar without the password, The Sick Stag is for you! Hidden in one of downtown Nampa's old buildings, the stairwell takes you down into a cobbled cave-like space set up for intimate and whimsical cocktail experiences. Highly recommend making a reservation, as this small space gets packed nightly. I would consider this one of the most innovative cocktail lounges in the area. My drink of choice on this occasion was the Clover Club, a gin based drink. The bartender, Jonah, was friendly and accommodating- and a master mixologist behind the bar!

The ambiance was interesting. The vibe was chill. The bartender was not concerned with me at all. I had one drink, no conversation and left

Okay this place is RAD. It's a really cool underground bar with so much to look at. If you want a booth, go to their website and make a reservation! They're so cozy and private. My husband ordered the Rattlesnake and I ordered the Porn Star. Both = YUM! We also had the salmon dip and bar snacks! Also YUM! First we met Jonah who sat us and explained the menu & happy hour and he was fantastic! And then Sydney... SYDNEY and I became best friends! Lol! It was only her 3rd day and the way she took care of us, her knowledge and recommendations had me thinking she'd been there for years! Overall it was a perfect experience and I wish I could give more than 5 stars. We can't wait to come back!

Cleanest women's restroom I've ever been in for a bar establishment.

The Sick Stag in DT Nampa, ID. is by far one of the coolest underground speakeasies I've ever been to. And the cocktails were bomb! Best Bourbon cocktail was the Monkey Business. And for tequila, it was hands down the Chili Passion Margarita (I love spicy with just a little sweetness). I don't remember the name of our bartender, but he was super cool & attentive. The ambiance is very unique with amazing art and decorations. They also have the cleanest restrooms for a bar/restaurant which is always a good sign. Highly recommend and will be back.

Hidden gem in downtown Nampa. Great vibes and some of the best drinks I've ever had. Sick Stag has the best espresso martini hands

Lord knows I love a good tequila sour, and for that alone this place would get 5 stars. Came in before dinner with friends and the bartenders were great! Super friendly and they know their cocktails. The tequila sour I ordered was PERFECT and I would definitely come back and sit at the bar for just that. The only downside was the vibes were a little odd when we came back after dinner with a few more girlfriends. Our server seemed annoyed by us, gave us conflicting messages about if they were still serving food or not, and we couldn't quite figure out why he was like that. Maybe just a personality clash! Bar top seems to be the way to go here.

Cool place. Door is located inconspicuously between two other business. You walk down stairs to find a dimmed bar with several seats and several nooks and cranny's to hang out. It is well decorated. Two bartenders making drinks so a little slow if busy but worth the wait. Nice menu of drinks with good range of classic and sweet cocktails. They play groovy music and the. The vibe is casual and comfortable. They have a small food menu that looks interesting and will definitely try next time. Service was prompt and very good. I would definitely recommend this new place to anyone that wants a smaller vibey place with good drinks and service.

Neat little bar in Nampa. Cool atmosphere hidden out of the way. Maximum occupancy is 45 so we had to get on a wait list. Service was prompt, but took over 20 minutes to get our cocktails. Think our order got misplaced. They have a full bar but the specialty menus are unique. Will visit again

Grandpa's basement has some decent drinks. I want wood paneling now. Good service, good drinks, nice and cozy

I walked in and OMG, It's way bigger than I thought and so stunning! The booths and chandeliers were very classy. The bartender Mel assisted me and she was very pleasant. She let me know that while they have coffee drinks, she's not much of a barista...they have an experienced barista on staff but they only work there from about 7am to 1pm and I was there approx 1:30pm. She stated she could make simple lattes but nothing all that fancy from the coffee menu as cocktails are her actual specialty so I decided to go with alcoholic libations since that's what she knows how to make. One that stood out to me was called the "Figgy Fizz" which is made with a fig syrup and I was excited as for breakfast yesterday I had the best Greek yogurt I've ever had which was honey and fig flavored so I was definitely in a fig mood lol she whipped up the drink but unfortunately after she handed it to me, she let me know she couldn't find the fig syrup they put in it so she substituted that with pumpkin spice. I was kind of bummed about that and wished she would have asked me first if that substitution was okay with me or if I'd want to try something else because now it's not a "figgy fizz" but a pumpkin spice fizz but I still drank it and it was decent. I decided to try one more drink which was a pomegranate rosemary lemon drop and it was beautiful and very tasty ! It's a nice spot to have a drink, the staff is quite friendly and they have some unique flavors so i can see myself frequenting this establishment. I want to come back soon and give their coffee drinks a try when I can stop by earlier!

All of the employees and bartenders were a lot of fun and very personable. It looks like everyone working really enjoys it. So nice to see! No food, except charcuterie boxes for sale. But we were told we were welcome to bring food in. I was there with a friend for a Valentine's-themed mimosa crawl. The most popular drink special was the Love is Dead mimosa. Very cool looking and tasty. Great place for a date night, cocktail before a dinner out, or hanging with the girls. Looking forward to trying their coffee offerings in the future.

Within seconds, I received a text that my order had been received, but not confirmed, and to watch for a confirmation text. After 30 minutes, I still had not received a confirmation text, so I messaged asking for an approximate time. The reply stated they were "slammed" and that my order would be ready in about 30 minutes. After another 45 minutes, I still had not received any communication from them, so I decided to walk over to check on my order, hoping that it would be ready. The first thing I noticed was that there were not a lot of customers inside. I informed the server behind the bar that I was there to pick up my order, and she went back to check. When she returned, she told me that there were no pickup orders. I showed her the email with my order number and told her that I never received a confirmation from them. She went back into the kitchen, then came back and said they didn't have my order, but could make it while I waited - about 10 minutes. I reluctantly agreed and waited. When I got my order, I asked for a few extra cups of sauce. The server was put off, as if asked to perform an overwhelming task. Needless to say, I left the establishment with a less-than-favorable taste in my mouth. 24 hours later, I received a text from them that my order was confirmed and would be ready to be picked up. I texted back that this was 24 hours late and to cancel the order. The reply was that their texting service was unavailable, and to call for questions. I then replied to the confirmation email, hoping that would get through to them. No such luck. The reply I received said that delivery had failed - that their email box was full. I will say that the food was good, and that the server was mainly friendly. However, the whole online ordering system needs some serious revamping. I hope that Whiskey River will take this review as constructive criticism so that future customers will have an easier, smoother online ordering experience.
