(Honestly, 10 stars if I could!) I recently hosted a first-time homebuyers class at The Syringa and it was absolutely perfect. The space was ideal for a small group -- cozy, welcoming, and the ambience made everyone feel comfortable and engaged. My attendees were attentive, relaxed, and genuinely enjoyed being there, which says a lot about the environment. I also come here regularly for morning business meetings, and it never disappoints. Great coffee, beautiful space, and a calm energy that makes it easy to connect and get work done. What really sets The Syringa apart though is how community-driven they are. As someone who loves supporting local Nampa businesses, this place checks every box. The staff is incredibly kind, welcoming, and thoughtful -- you can tell they truly care about the people who walk through their doors. I am a veteran, a senior citizen and disabled. I recently went to this establishment for an important meeting. I had my service dog with me. As I entered the premises my service dog got sick. After cleaning the mess I sincerely apologized, cleaned up the mess with the senior person stated that "things happen" and "I understand". Then, after the meeting started interrupted the meeting and said the owner (who was not there) stated to his/her employee that I was to leave the establishment. I stated that the American Disabilities Act explicitly allows me to have my Service Dog with me wherever I go. After several attempts to make me leave, police were called and stated the owner requested I leave which I did. No grace, no compassion! They banned me for a year!!! I will NOT be back to this petty establishment EVER!!! I recommend to anyone that understands or empathizes with my situation NOT frequent this place!!! WC Boise, Idaho read more

Coffee is crap, I ordered a Mexican Mocha and was told they served it.. What I got was horrific, it was so sweet and had some other flavor that wasn't mocha.. I get this every coffee shop so I know it shouldn't taste like a crap peppermint or some other garbage.. Eight freaking dollars just to toss in a trash can.. If you can't, or don't know how to make a drink, say so, I would have got something else.. I would stay away from this place, maybe they should stick to booze and beer.... They cannot make coffee..... read more

This coffee and cocktail lounge has been on my list to try for quite some time now and I found the perfect opportunity to stop in yesterday afternoon to check it out. I walked in and OMG, It's way bigger than I thought and so stunning! The booths and chandeliers were very classy. The bartender Mel assisted me and she was very pleasant. She let me know that while they have coffee drinks, she's not much of a barista...they have an experienced barista on staff but they only work there from about 7am to 1pm and I was there approx 1:30pm. She stated she could make simple lattes but nothing all that fancy from the coffee menu as cocktails are her actual specialty so I decided to go with alcoholic libations since that's what she knows how to make. One that stood out to me was called the "Figgy Fizz" which is made with a fig syrup and I was excited as for breakfast yesterday I had the best Greek yogurt I've ever had which was honey and fig flavored so I was definitely in a fig mood lol she whipped up the drink but unfortunately after she handed it to me, she let me know she couldn't find the fig syrup they put in it so she substituted that with pumpkin spice. I was kind of bummed about that and wished she would have asked me first if that substitution was okay with me or if I'd want to try something else because now it's not a "figgy fizz" but a pumpkin spice fizz but I still drank it and it was decent. I decided to try one more drink which was a pomegranate rosemary lemon drop and it was beautiful and very tasty ! It's a nice spot to have a drink, the staff is quite friendly and they have some unique flavors so i can see myself frequenting this establishment. Another great addition to Downtown Nampa. Coffee shop in the morning, bar in the afternoon/evening. Full bar, and a great menu of craft cocktails. All of the employees and bartenders were a lot of fun and very personable. It looks like everyone working really enjoys it. So nice to see! No food, except charcuterie boxes for sale. But we were told we were welcome to bring food in. I was there with a friend for a Valentine's-themed mimosa crawl. The most popular drink special was the Love is Dead mimosa. Very cool looking and tasty. Great place for a date night, cocktail before a dinner out, or hanging with the girls. Looking forward to trying their coffee offerings in the future. read more

I threw a murder mystery party here for my friend's birthday, and the staff went above and beyond to make it extra fun! This was my second time visiting, and once again, the drinks were a total hit. Everyone who works there is so friendly, kind, and genuinely adds to the overall experience. It's the perfect spot for a book club, a small party, or just hanging out with friends. The bar has cozy, creative vibes that remind me a bit of Flying M -- it's clean, pretty, and feels so homey. The crowd it attracts is friendly and social, which makes it easy to connect and have a great time. I was driving around downtown Nampa this afternoon and this place caught my eye. Intrigued by the name and the classy looking exterior, I decided to stop in; I'm SO glad I did. This place is absolutely gorgeous! Very artful decor, warm, inviting, and the bar is well-stocked with a variety of spirits. I opted for a coffee since I was solo and driving- wonderful "Honey Nut Cheerios" served hot with half n half, honey & cinnamon. I'm a new arrival to the Treasure Valley and really appreciated that such a place exists in Nampa that rivals any similar big-city establishments I've visited. The cocktail menu looks great & I can't wait to return (with a designated driver) to try them out. There was a surprise 70th birthday party going on in the back (that was fun to watch!), several smaller groups and a couple of "Saturday afternoon dates" filling the place; the staff warm & friendly and the overall vibe very jovial with music playing in the background yet chill enough to carry on a conversation without straining to hear. The only thing that would make this place PERFECT: live music (in particular, jazz)...for those of us too lazy to drive to Boise lol. Can't wait to bring my more seasoned "2C" friends here- I'm pretty certain they haven't heard of it and will be equally as delighted when they walk in and experience it! After 3 separate visits, I won't be back. The thing about having a large bar with fancy cocktails and liquor options is the bartenders need to actually know the names of them, where the liquor is, and how to make a decent cocktail otherwise it's pointless. If I was looking for a beer and a shot of something standard like Jameson or patron, sure. A gentleman next me to ordered a particular whiskey and the bartender had to have him point it out to her to find it. I ordered a tequila sour and the new bartender didn't know where to start. Finally a more experienced bartender made me the cocktail but at that point I had changed my order to a tequila soda, and wish they had just poured me that. I appreciate the effort on the tequila sour but why have over 5 types of tequila if you can't pick Casamigos out of the lineup? read more

What a beautiful space located in the heart of historic Downtown Nampa. The decor is stunning! I love the 100 year old exposed brick, the crystal chandeliers and art. The ambiance is very inviting and luxurious. We went in for a coffee and conversation. The service was great. I just wish they had some locally made pastries or treats to go along with your coffee. It appears the have a full bar as well. I will definitely go back in an evening to enjoy an adult beverage. read more
