I recommend this restaurant. When chef is there it's amazing but not this crappy app. Yelp sucks.

I am not sure if I need to do a "re-review" but Brick 29 is so good that I feel like I need to. In our regular little town of Nampa, there is a premium level restaurant called Brick 29. It is one of those places where you wonder why you don't go there more often. From our amazing appetizer to the delicious cocktails to the top level dinners (fish for her and filet mignon for me). On top of that the staff is always friendly and a joy to interact with. And don't get me started about the selfie perfect view since the restaurant is on the top floor of a downtown building. 3rd Update July 18, 2026. Today is our anniversary, and we made reservations at what we have decided is one of our two favorite restaurants in the Valley for ambiance, service, and food. Melanie was our server. She was very nice and friendly, and very helpful in giving us all of the specials for the day. She also provided excellent service. My wife had the filet mignon and I had the Hagerman Trout. Both were made to perfection. Her mashed potatoes and my cauliflower rice pilaf were delicious. For our anniversary, we were blessed with a wonderul creme brulee. My wife also had a glass of Merlot that she said was very good and I had a nice, hazy IPA. We highly recommend Brick 29. The ambiance is of a high end restaurant, which it is, but with very reasonable prices, and no matter what you order, it will be delicious. read more

This is our first time here for lunch, big fan of dinner here too. We asked chat gpt who had the best Caesar salad in all the land of Nampa. She told us, Brick 29! Oh boy, not a fan of always trusting AI but today, she didnt steer us wrong. The boiled egg, the perfectly seasoned juicy chicken, the fresh romaine and just the right amount of dressing. We loved our french press coffee as an addition. Also, you just cant beat cucumeber water to wash it down. We had wonderful service provided by Calvin, the manager and Jackson, our server. My oh my what a fantastic dinner we had!! Traveling and wanted a nice meal that wasn't overpriced. Brick 29 checked every box. Filet mignon with potato gratin was amazing. The tarragon butter and Demi glaze just added to the flavor. The seasonal pear salad is an absolute MUST. Fresh, flavorful and wonderful blend of ingredients. The star of the show however was the pork chop with blueberry compote. It was fork tender, and the compote with the pork was incredible! Our waiter was attentive, professional and efficient. It's been a few years since I first visited this place and I'm glad to report the food is just as good as I remember it and maybe even better now that I've tried even more of the menu. We had a party of 4 and our server Sophia was awesome from start to finish. I made sure to begin with their calamari which I'm happy it's still on the menu. It's so delicious! 2 people in my party shared the massive blueberry pork chop dinner. I went with the flat iron steak (medium rare), and the other foodie went with the birria grilled cheese and side Cesar salad. We are new to the area. Someone gave us a gift card for Brick 29. We had heard that it was one of the best places in town. We were not disappointed. There's a nice view of the city. The tables are nice and you are not crowded next to other guests. The service was great. The food was amazing. My husband got the pork chop. I know don't say you don't want a pork chop. That's what everybody says, but this is the best pork chop ever. It as good as any steak you've had. I got the chicken and subbed the polenta for the potatoes. It was very good as well. Catalina was an enthusiastic server. We enjoyed her attitude. Comfortable tables and booths not crammed together as is done in Boise downtown ghetto restaurants The fries, chicken, Rueben and mushroom soup were very tasty. We left very full for less money than other comparable dining options. The Rueben had red cabbage sauerkraut which was nice. Dressing and bread worked well together. While not the supreme example of this sandwich, this is definitely in the top 5 in my documenting Ruebens in the Treasure Valley. Parked on the street at the entrance, took the elevator to the 3rd floor. Beautiful interior. The view over Nampa is what one would expect - downtown Nampa rooftops. Next time we go, I will insist on water without the slice of cucumber. Actually they should ask before serving it, as some people (me) don't like that crap in their water. Brick 29 kept popping up with impressive reviews, so I went ahead and booked us reservations. The location is pretty cool, perched on the top floor of an old brick building. You ride the elevator up and step out into an open space with lovely views of the city below, which immediately set the tone for the meal. Service was great. Our waiter struck the perfect balance of friendly humor and genuine food knowledge. We ordered a little bit of everything, and not a single dish disappointed. The calamari came out perfectly crisp and incredibly tender. The pumpkin bisque was rich, warm, and matched the fall weather. My husband's pork chop was the standout. That chop was massive, juicy, and grilled to perfection. By the end of the meal, my parents were already making plans for their next visit to Brick 29. Great experience at Brick 29. We were passing through the area and stopped for the night. Did a quick Yelp search for a restaurant and came across Brick 29 with great reviews. It did not disappoint. It's a very nice setting, you take an elevator up to the third floor of an old brick building. The ambience was very comfortable with some views of the area. The food was amazing! We had heard through the grapevine that the caesar salad was amazing so for the first time ever, my wife and I both ordered the same thing, Caesar salad! Wow, that dressing was delicious and we added the chicken that was prepared perfectly with the right seasonings. Hands down worth the trip to Nampa. Jackson was our waiter and he was super cool and on top of things. Calvin came bye to check on us (manager), he was super nice. If you've never been here you need to check it out. During the day it seems business casual, although there's always group of friend lunch dates everywhere. At dinner it's a great place to dress up. First we started downstairs at the bar which is located down the hallway it's kinda long and there is sign on the door Janitors closet employees only! It was so fun and great vibes. The music is jazzy and it nice and dim in the bar very lovey.. After a 35 minute wait we gathered our belongings and went back down the long hallway to the elevators to the 3rd floor where we were greeted by a very sweet kind gal. Let me start off by saying that I do not give 5 star ratings often, but this restaurant really deserves it. From the customer service, ambiance, and food all of it was checked. Our server Josh, well we both havent see customer service like this in a long time. He was amazing. I ordered a lemonade and when I downed that drink, within moments, another one magically appeared. My friend and I ordered the Brick 29 fries as an appetizer with the bacon because, fat kid status, the BLTA and the hot turkey and cheese, both with salads. It's called balance people. Look it up. When we got the fries, upon our first bites, I don't think we talked after our first this is so good. We might not even have breathed. That appetizer is definitely perfect for two dainty women who are watching their figure. We absolutely inhaled it. It was garlicky, cheesy, needed more bacon because everything needs more bacon. We told the lady that brought our main dishes, whoever made this, if they are single and need a girlfriend, we can apply for that job. She just looked at us crazy and said ok, she will tell them. I don't think she told them. Listen, the fries were that good. If you get the chance to eat these fries, GET THE FRIES!!! We split the sandwiches because that's what good girl friends do and we wanted to try everything. The hot turkey and cheese had this hot pepper jam on it. It had a nice little kick to it and it had cheese grilled on top of the bread!!!! Was so delicious. The BLTA had that candied bacon. The salad was an absolutely delicious. I loved the walnut dressing. All of the food was quality food. You can tell coming here that there was some sort of pride put into it. I'd hope so anyway. I've been to Chandlers downtown. Not a fan. Their food had absolutely no flavor, ambience was ok, customer service was ok. Food was wwaayyy over priced. Id rather come here. We first went to Brick 29 about 2 years ago with family, who loved it. We loved it too...until recently. It seems like the quality and caring that we first loved about the food is gone. We have been several times recently and been very disappointed. Leftovers got thrown away because they just weren't good. On the 12th of June we went for a family birthday. We had 12 people. The service was good, but once again, the food was way below par. We were so disappointed. My husband says we will be looking for a new eatery that meets up to their reputation. So sad read more
