The beer we had was a barleywine type which is a kind we don't often get but always enjoy when we do. The name of this particular beer was Shake and Date. The flavors to enjoy in this stronger ABV beer is Vanilla, Marshmallow and Dates. That is probably where the name comes in on that last flavor feature. The beer is sweet but more in a natural, evolved (mature) way and the beer is barrel aged so it's definitely going to pack a whallop. Apparently that's harder to find in the Treasure Valley than good beer. Then we found this gem. The Last Call was playing, and they were fantastic. In fact, if I ever get frustrated enough to open my own brewery just to show the Treasure Valley what it's been missing, they're getting the first call. They'd be the anchor band. Great atmosphere, great beer, and--best of all--live music. We'll definitely be back.
