    Oktoberfest 2025 special menu

Loose Screw Beer Co. is a hidden gem in downtown Meridian. The space is awesome, lots of seating inside, a big outdoor patio, and even a rooftop patio. They've got a permanent food truck onsite that serves up incredible food; the steak quesadilla is honestly the best I've ever had. Their beers are always solid and the tap list changes often, so there's always something new to try. I went for their Oktoberfest 2025 and loved the Märzen they brewed for the event. Super family- and dog-friendly too, always packed with people, kids playing, and a great community vibe. Easily one of the best new spots in Meridian.

I love the atmosphere here, especially when the weather is nice and you can sit outside. The service was great! The food truck is AWESOME and had amazing tacos. We had a flight of beer and I just thought the beer was ok.

This is brewery #310 for me. A couple days in Boise on business again this year. Loose Screw is a new brewery since my last visit. This is a really nice location and layout. They put some time and money into this and it shows. Great big taproom with a long bar. Great music and friendly vibe. Rhubarbarella, Queen of the Galaxy, is a rhubarb fruit beer. I can't say for sure I could identify it as rhubarb if I didn't know ahead of time. It does have a sour note to it as expected. Next up was Great Notion mango fluff sour. This smelled really good. The first sip didn't wow me but I was a fan by the third. It has a bit of a vanilla note as well as A LOT of mango. SWPFTD described it as eating a mango cupcake with vanilla frosting. Modest Freak session IPA was a big change from the mango sour. I ordered this almost entirely based on the name. Yes I'm supremely modest. A freak? Well I guess that depends on your perspective. I'll leave it at that. This was a good IPA. Good flavor and moderate bitterness. Mikes mild is a dark mild. This is as it says...mild. After the mango sour it seems a little boring. It's a good dark mild of course, my tastebuds were just all revved up. SWPFTD got the Fitzgeralds American Amber. This had a good bitterness to it which was more than I expected. SWPFTD and I both enjoyed it though. LSB is a solid spot. The beers are solid. The beer tender was cool. The space is excellent. The music was good. If anyone is a glutton for punishment, please, follow my brewery, and distillery, reviews from across the U.S. and beyond! https://www.yelp.com/collection/-8iscFkpiiCI563-FDfwGg and if anyone is wondering who SWPFTD is you will have to check out my review of Black Market Brewing Co in Temecula, CA to understand. Yes, you will need to read into it a little to get the joke but I have confidence in you! I hope my confidence is not misplaced.

Good food. Good beer. I'll go back. Nice environment inside or outside (if the weather is good).

My girlfriends and I decided we needed to get some grub and enjoy the patio weather today so we all picked Sockeye to hit up for our monthly outing. I arrived first and the patio area was pretty chill. Was sat at a great table and hung out till the rest of my friends showed up. My two friends and I did get to peep out the menu for a bit. Our last friend who is notoriously late allowed is some extra time to really check out the whole menu without feeling rushed. Happy hour was going on so of course the apps were calling to me. I can make a meal off of multiple appetizers. We finally got food ordered when our last friend showed up. I got the salmon and shrimp crab cakes. I have left Sockeye hungry before after having dinner here so I also added a side of chili just in case. I was ready to eat! My crab and shrimp cakes came out looking fabulous. They were fried a nice golden brown. So crispy on the outside and savory on the inside. I love the aoili that was on top, it added an extra flair to the crab cake. 3 were in an order and it was the perfect amount. I smashed all 3 and they were so good! I did have a couple bites of the chili. It was hearty in meat and beans. Rich in flavor and filling. I'm looking forward to adding this chili to some fries with some cheese on top for dinner later. I know it's going to be so good. Our server did a great job tonight. Despite the fact that she had to wait till our last friend to show up, our server was on top of it. Our water was always filled, she checked up on us and always made sure we were happy. As a past server, it's hard to manage time between tables when the whole party isn't there. Our server didn't have that issue today. My girlfriends and I had a great time. We enjoyed the food, enjoyed the atmosphere and was happy that we got to do this all on the patio. I always forget that there's a Sockeye by us off of Hill Rd. I will have to check that one out soon to grab more crab cakes. I do look foward to coming back to this location and enjoying another round of appetizers on the patio here.

The onion rings great. Meatloaf was ok. Mac n cheese was just ok. Dry. The guests liked the burgers. The salads were good. None of us did any of the many beers. Service was good. Tons of parking. Family place with a ton of tvs. We caught the NCAA bball games and there were very accommodating. There are TVs in the booths. When we go back, I'll go back.

I will say the staff here are extremely nice and their drinks both alcoholic and non-alcoholic are great but food was a bit disappointing for me. I know I am going to sound like a complete weirdo listing what I ordered (which yeah, I am.. what can I say, I have unique taste buds) .. I ordered a lavender lemonade, a maple pecan cream soda and for food the "Peanut Butter Jelly Time" burger with a side of "VooDill" fries. The burger is like a smash burger topped with a blackberry jam and creamy peanut butter and the fries had dill seasoning. The fries were actually pretty good and worth the uncharged for the dill seasoning, the drinks I got were very tasty - if you like lavender like I do, definitely get their lavender lemonade! I like that it doesn't taste watered down or super perfume like, it was a perfect balance of lavender flavor!! The canned maple pecan cream soda was good as well, it reminds me of the Butter Beer you can get in Universal Studio's Harry Potter Wizarding World but it also tasted like it had such an insane amount of sugar that my heart might explode so probably better to just not get that. Now when it comes to the burger, I've had a few peanut butter burgers and while I know it's strange I typically enjoy them and this one could have been very good but it tasted like they put half a container of creamy peanut butter on a burger and gave me only the tiniest bit of blackberry jam. All I could really taste eating this was the peanut butter and I like peanut butter but it wasn't pleasant and definitely not worth $15. The little hint of blackberry jam was delicious but gone after the first bite.. they need to balance out the portions of the PB and Jam. If you're a fan of PB burgers, I recommend going to Sid's Garage at the Village in Meridian instead.. they have a PBJ burger that'll knock your socks off- and in theirs you can taste all the flavors, not just a pile of peanut butter!

Lots of taste in the food that I've ordered. Hearty eaters will finish their portion, but the rest of you will be asking for a box. The meh - Nothing to report It seems they've been short staffed a couple times when I visited. The bad - Nothing to report
