They took out appetizer and drink order quick which we needed because we were heading to an event. Our drinks were served fast. They brought out the appetizers quickly. Our group all ordered appetizers and salads and nothing disappointed us. The beer cheese and various sauces were all delicious. All their food is made in house as well as their ranch. Dog friendly patio. No dogs allowed inside. There is a side gate to get to the patio. I did not have my children there but other people had theirs. If you haven't been to Voodoo Brewing in Meridian, you are MISSING OUT!! Even if you're not a beer/alcohol drinker, you seriously need to come here just to try the food. They have their own beer, but they also have a number of guest taps canned cocktails. This time when we went in we split the nachos and added chicken, and also got the chicky chicky bang bang sandwich (both pictured). There nachos are definitely a standout as they put bbq sauce and beer battered cheese that adds a great flavor profile. They cut the sandwich in half for us which I thought was great and not at all expected for them to do that! I know a lot of people also complain about places now a day will skimp out and not have a side so very happy that the order comes with fries. My husband said they were a little too salty and seasoned for his liking but I enjoyed them! They have an outdoor patio which is also great for this amazing weather we're having. First visit here was a couple of weeks ago. Got here before 5 PM, so they weren't all that busy yet. Grabbed a seat at the bar top and proceeded to order a brew and a burger. My choice was the Meridian Spicy Boi, and I considered it a wise choice. Excellent taste and cooked to perfection. The amount of accompying fries was perfect. Always hate to waste fries! They have plenty of beer choices on tap, more than I could mention, but something for everyone taste can be had. Their own Good Vibes was a decent IPA to pair with my burger. Returned back for another experience with Voodoo Brewing! I have to say this brewery does expand in leaps and bounds. For tge longest time they only had locations in the far east of the United States but then they slowly started opening franchise locations in western states and now they have two locations in the Boise area. I have to say I have always enjoyed Voodoo Brewing so this revisit was quite a pleasure. I love their swag and have a small collection of their t shirts. For the brewery experience this time we had the Belgian Tripel known as Voodoo Love Child. This was a very enjoyable one for sure with it's fruity, sweet, sour and strong flavor characteristics this was a refreshing change of pace as we often don't enjoy this beer type but always like it when we do! I wish this location stayed up later, especially the kitchen because the burgers are really juicy and tasty! I personally like that you can scan the QR code on the table to order and pay but the servers are also available if you prefer a live human. They did a really nice job on this build. It's clean and sleek and is welcoming. There's outside seating as well, and a mix of bar height and normal height tables. The beers on tap change pretty frequently and you can purchase to go as well. This is a light and brite location, which is a stark contrast to the Boise location. It's just a nice new addition to downtown Meridian! I've been to this spot a few times, and while I appreciate the local vibe and the rotating guest taps (which are usually the highlight for me), the food continues to be mediocre at best. It feels like mostly frozen options straight out of a US Foods truck -- nothing to get excited about. What really pushed me to write this review, though, was trivia night. I won't be participating again. It was incredibly obvious that a group of regulars -- including the trivia host and the bartender -- were all too comfortable letting blatant cheating slide. I watched them openly use Google and image searches, discuss answers, and rack up near-perfect scores both rounds. It was so flagrant it made playing feel pointless. Everyone could see it, but since they're clearly regulars, the behavior was ignored. Yes, trivia is just a game, and no, my group wasn't going to win regardless -- but watching the host allow it to happen without even trying to enforce fair play killed any fun we might've had. It also cost the host a tip. If you're going just for a drink and maybe a bite, manage your expectations. If you're thinking about trivia night? I'd skip it entirely. read more

First off, Downtown Meridian is a cool vibrant area. Voodoo Brewery was a fun and tasty find. The space was airy, with a open patio, indoor dining tables or belly up to the bar. Which we did, as we like using menu not codes to order. Something for everyone. We had the buffalo hot sauce wings, they use a tasty sauce, and their homestyle ranch dressing was good, they were a bit pricey imo. The pickle pizza however, was great. The garlic base, cheese and dill pickle flavors all married together so well. We shared and devoured the whole thing. It's a good share size and value. My hubby really enjoyed the Voodoos brewed IPAs selection. As an amber drinker I ordered a local red which was great to me glad they guest tap one. The two bartenders were fun, fast and gave friendly service. I really appreciated them. It can get busy but they check on you and since this place has tall ceilings we never felt too crowded, just a great atmosphere with fun skulls and art, I really dug the voodoo arty theme too. Of course had to buy some sticker merch from voodoo too! One tip to note they also have way neato seltzer creations as cocktails, Id be interested to try that sometime too. Absolutely love this place. They have great beers and ciders, the food tastes great, comes out in a timely way and all of the staff are 100% on it, super low-key. They do have a trivia night if you follow them on social media, Tends to get a little crowded but who cares. They listen to feedback, and it totally feels open and inviting. We were so excited to try this new Brewery in downtown Meridian! There were A LOT of good drink options! I got the Huckleberry Cider and a blue raspberry seltzer on tap. My husband got the low calorie beer and said it was good! Since we went for Haply Hour we got the nachos which were really good and there was quite a few other menu items I would love to try soon! There's a QR code on the table and you order your own drinks and food. As a past waitress I am somewhat put off by that because you don't get the same level of service but my husband who is more introverted thought it was amazing. I asked him to tip himself at the end for doing the work The space is big with a nice patio and garage doors BUT really hard to hear others because of the floors and super high ceilings. We took two friends there yesterday (a week after my first visit) and won't be back. My wife and I sat down and ordered our drinks when the waitress asked us for a credit card? My wife curiously gave her our card. Our friends sat down and ordered their drinks and were asked for a credit card. I couldn't understand why so I finally had to ask. I was told by several other customers that the owners weren't restaurant people and want to have your credit card so you won't leave before paying. I really don't care what the reason is. I won't pay for a meal before getting my meal. If people are leaving before paying then you have a problem to solve and should make good honest people feel uncomfortable. So, I and our friends won't be back. To many other good traditional restaurants right in the same area and they even have fly fans. Come on owners, get with the program. read more

We visited the place for the first time after seeing a movie. Nice location with a cool looking decor. It was about 1/16 full but was terribly noisy because of the cement floor and ceiling. Wings were over-cooked - my husband felt this was the biggest offense there. We ordered sweet hot pizza - flavor was not bad - crust was not quite pizza crust - not sure what it was - not crusty. We prefer Italian-style crust and this was weird. The amber beer was good. Other flavors were ok that we tried (hazy, empty calorie / the triple we tasted was too fruity). My husband and I came in here for dinner last night and it was fantastic. We sat at a table and used the QR codes to order and pay which was super convenient - BUT you can sit up at the bar if you don't want to do it that way. We got to interact with several staff members (Terrence and Tara?? I am awful with names but I know they were both T's!) and every single one of them was sweet as can be and made sure we were NEVER in need of a thing. The food was great! We started with the pretzel and some wings. OKAY - the PICKLE WINGS are UNMATCHED. They were so freaking good, and I am craving them now that I am writing about them. After that I had a chicken caesar salad which was really good and had lots of chicken! My husband had the 208 pizza and ate HALF of it while we were there and the other half later. It is goonnnee! The beers are plentiful and refreshing. We were joking with the staff about the wings being so good, and they informed us that there is a pickle pizza... We were excited to try this new brew pub in downtown Meridian. We'd give it a 3.5 if we could not quite a 4. You need to order using a QR code on your phone or walk up to the bar to order. The had many beers on tap, but sadly no ambers or porters. We ordered an imperial stout that was delicious and full of flavor. The hubs ordered the chicken wings which came with 8 to an order. He chose two different flavors, a dry rub and a sauced one, but for 16.99 it's way too much for an order. I ordered the turkey bacon avocado sandwich. I upgraded to add fries for $2. The fries were amazing... crispy and seasoned well. I loved the sandwich as well. A light lunch and two small beers came to 52.00. I think it's a tad too high for what you received. Voodoo is a new bar in Meridian. Cute vibes but hard to get a table with the open seating policy. We went here & left & then went back a few hours later. We were able to get a table at the bar, which I was grateful for. I heard the tables have to order on a QR code instead of actually ordering through someone. We sat at the bar & were able to place our order through the bartenders. I ordered the Vooodoo Lacto-Kooler Sour. It had a fun green color to it and it tasted just like Sour Patch kids!! I really liked this drink. It looks like they have this on tap every month too. We also ordered the Voodoo Empty Calories Light Lager and we really liked this option as well. We ordered the mac & cheese as a side dish, it was really cheesy & creamy. Highly recommend this dish! Also I loved the Nachos!! They came with BBQ sauce which was different, but I actually really liked this added flavor. I didn't think it was too overbearing either. If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. The vibe. The food. The service. All were 10/10. I'm 18 weeks pregnant and super nervous about eating deli meat (iykyk). I had asked about their Turkey BLTA, and it is served hot. But being me, I asked to have it heated extra to be 100% safe. They were so accommodating. They don't have microwaves (a HUGE PLUS) and offered to remake my sandwich. Oh and I forget to mention - this was our first time here! Only good thing about my visit today was the beer! That was really good! I ordered the nachos and added the chicken and a side of Mac and cheese. Mac and cheese was good! Nachos came with no chicken! After 10 mins trying to get someone to come over I told him I didn't get my chicken so I wanted to make sure I wasn't charged for it. He said "oh you will be charged for it! Do you want it?" Well duhhhhh. Nachos were just ok! I've made better at home! It took me 20 mins just to get the check!
