We have had meals at Sid's Garage several times and each one was as good as the last and I have to say they were all amazing. With the exceptional door to the great service I will always make a stop here at least every 2-3 months. The restaurant itself is a bit small and the ambiance is nice just a bit loud when they get really busy. I will always recommend this place for the burger lovers and the fact they cook the fries in beef tallow it's awesome and flavorful. read more

Every employee yells a cheery greeting as we set foot inside this eatery! We were seated immediately. We ordered the Death By Chocolate Shake, Trash Can Tots, & the Whisky Bacon Burger. The shake was size HUGE & delicious! The tots came with a show- a staff turned-over a little tin garbage-style can, emptying the tots & ingredients onto a platter, & then finished them with sauce straight from the squeeze bottle. These were also delicious! The burger was also very tasty! read more

5/5 What an awesome place! Sid's Garage was the perfect way to start our Boise and Nampa trip. GM April was so friendly and welcoming, and our server Ross was absolutely hilarious. He had us laughing the entire meal and gave us some of the best service we've had in a long time. The food was incredible. The sweet potato fries and onion rings were both delicious, and every sauce we tried was amazing. I ordered the PBB&J burger and the Fresca burger. The PBB&J sounds crazy but it was one of the best burgers I have ever had, and they serve it in a vintage Jaws lunchbox which was such a cool surprise. The Fresca was just as good. The decor is awesome and even the merchandise is funny and high quality. We loved the shirts that said "Feed Me Burgers and Call Me Pretty" and "Snitches Get Stitches." This is not just a burger place. It is an experience. We will definitely be back! read more

Took the grandkids here the other day, massive burgers, cooked just right, real juicy. Also had the tallow fries. Everything was over the top fantastic. Highly recommend this as a must visit read more

Glad we found this place. Very much has its grunge/punk theme. Service was great. And they were consistent with traffic, which is a good thing. Se vice was wonderful. Burger was great. Fries were delish, so were the tempura green beans. Pretzels were mid. But overall well with a visit. read more

Food, service and atmosphere were great. Sweet potato waffle fries were crunchy and delicious with just the right amount of salt. Burgers are large and we had to take leftovers home. read more

Switched from Canola Oil to Beef Tallow! That deserves a star all on its own!! It's not a relaxing atmosphere but it's not terribly loud either, it's a fun atmosphere for a smaller group. The hostess and our waitress were both great! Our kids enjoyed their Cheeseburgers and we all loved the Truffle Parmesan Fries with some Ranch. My husband had the Whiskey Bacon Burger and he said a solid 4.5/5 Stars. I had the Nashville Hot Chicken Salad and I'd give it 3.5/5 Stars, I wasn't starving so it did hit the spot. Thanks Sid's Garage! We will be back! read more

Food is pretty great. A bit rich but the burgers aren't overly huge. Last time I stretched myself and got their chicken sandwich with blueberry compote. It was surprisingly delicious. I was a little bit scared. Great flavor profile, pretty messy to eat, though I will say the bun holds up to the condiments, so it didn't get soggy. I was surprised and very pleased. Their milkshakes are ridiculously over the top, but three of us shared one and that was perfect. Best onion rings I've ever had.i mean everrrrr. The spicy green beans are also good. And the bacon candied, hanging from the rack is worth an appetizer share A bit spendy, but lots of things that you can share to make it a reasonable experience. It's loud in there, pretty cool 90s music, but you do kind of have to yell so I wouldn't take someone with limited hearing They also have a full bar with some pretty fun little drink and concoctions read more

Amazing food! Great atmosphere and wonderful service! The bacon is to die for! Lol the shakes are definitely something you would have to try at least once! Only reason I say that is because there's a lot going on, but it was worth it! read more

We met our friends at Sid's Garage when visiting Boise and the restaurant was decent. Our waitress and the overall service was great, however for the price I don't feel it was fantastic. My son had the Apple Pie Shake (can't remember their name for it) and the Trailer Trash, while I had a kids cheeseburger and my husband had the crack chicken sandwich. We also shared a truffle Parmesan fry. Everything was delicious, but seemed fairly pricy. The shakes are slightly on the crazy side so it might be worth it to visit for that. read more

The food was really good. We loved how some of the food came in weird containers, it adds fun to your meal. We sat at the bar and the bartender was very friendly and attentive. We were so full from the appetizer and entree and didn't have room for a milkshake. But it gives us a reason to come back!! The milkshakes looked phenomenal. read more

I have been eye balling this joint for a hot minute! I have seen photos of thier over the top shakes and candied bacon. They have such a fun vibe so of course I wanted to celebrate my birthday here! Walking in, the music was loud! I love a chill vibe. I see my party sitting against the wall so I told the host in the front that I see my party. Our server did get drinks started for the others. He finally came back to check up on us. I got me a lemonade to sip on. Our last person showed up finally and we ordered dinner while she was looking over the menu. For dinner I got tempuraed green beans and candied bacon. The greens beans came in a shoe but they took the shoe away. My bacon was neatly hung and charred by a different server. I thought that was neat. The green beans were tasty! The batter did have good seasoning to it. I honestly wouldn't call the batter tempura. To me, tempura is light and airy. This batter was not. It had a thickness to it. Some of my friends didn't like the sauce that came with it but I enjoyed it! The bacon was very very very tasty! I love a great savory and sweet combo. I recommend the candied bacon for sure! For a fun joint, I am surprised they don't do anything for birthdays. My friend asked our server if they do ice cream or cake for birthdays and his response was "if you want to pay for it". Kinda tacky and such a great way to dampen the vibe. I served for many many years and I always made it a point to make the birthday person feel special. In today's case with my server, we didn't have the same ideals. If you're looking for a fun local joint to eat at that's loud and fun, Sid's is your joint. If you're looking to celebrate your special day than I probably would go somewhere else. I had such a fun time till my server made me feel like my birthday it wasn't important. I'm happy I got to try it out but I probably won't be back. I'd rather go somewhere where people feel special on their birthdays! Not just a tip at the end of their dining experience. read more

Made me shit like a cow but the milkshakes are amazing, and very extra. The steak burgers are amazing also, I'd get it cooked medium for best flavor. Service was insanely quick, but the day we went was almost empty. I'd say it's on the pricey side but price to amount of food ratio is good. read more

Very early dinner, popped in around 4:00 PM with no reservation while shopping in the village. Party of 4 seated immediately. This was my second time eating at Sid's garage. The last time was at the Downtown location. The ambience of the village location is a little bit more closed off and segmented than the Downtown location. Overall, the restaurant seems smaller. The best seating was up against the wall in the high booths. Unfortunately, they pushed one small round and a square tiny table together to make a table for four. It was awkward and right by the exit for the kitchen, but we made the best of it. As for the food - fun burgers that taste great is my overall review. You can't go wrong with any of the burgers. Keep in mind, though that the patties are very thick . It's a lot of meat . If you like In-N-Out burgers with those thin patties, these are quite the opposite . Our favorite was actually not a burger. It was the donut grilled cheese with a side of tomato basil soup. It was different and definitely had a sweet kick to the donut bread. Also honorable mention to the the Parmesan cheese fries and a huge shout out to their dipping sauce. We enjoyed that sauce on both our fries and our burgers. It has a little bit of a vinegar sweetness to it with pepper that makes it all their own. As for prices for our party of four, the total bill was about $70. You can't eat anywhere for four people for much less. For example, five guys would run you about $15 a person. Keep in mind our tab did not include alcohol, we each ordered an entrée and shared an order of fries. Two waters and two soft drinks rounded out our meals. Know if you added in one of their fabulous shakes, that's gonna send you back about 15 bucks but for a special occasion, it's well worth it. For an everyday sit down meal while you're shopping in the village or a casual special occasion I highly recommend treating yourself to Sid's garage. read more

Great food, with a fun atmosphere. I highly recommend it. Make sure to try the bacon.

If you love burgers, this is a go to spot. An interesting selection of burgers. Be bold and try something new. A fun interior, full bar and good service! read more

Since it took a while for us to be acknowledged as we waited to be seated, it gave us time to take in the steam-punk and funky fun, loud environment. After we were seated by the kitchen, it took an extraordinary long time again to be acknowledged and served with drinks (the place wasn't too busy at the time at 11:30 am, Sunday morning), but after we were finally approached to start the process by our friendly server, things were paced quite nicely and steadily. The poor start to seating and service is what dropped this from a 5 to 4 rating. Burgers are whacky and different which makes Sid's unique. Many burgers come with candied bacon or interesting sauces, cheeses or flavor combinations you've never thought of. There are no combos here; if you want a side it's listed as an appetizer, so it will come out first, not with your burger (unless requested). I ordered the new burger, the French Onion Dip, which is a 1/2 Lb. Angus blend burger on a croissant, cheese and onion ring. It's rich and very different. I loved its richness, though would have appreciated some freshness like lettuce, tomato or something to cut down the richness a bit. However, I ordered French onion so I it's gluttonous as it should be. Hubby had the Steakhouse burger after complaining he couldn't find anything that appealed to him (he's very picky) without the onion marmalade. He rated his burger a 9 out of 10, so it had to be exceptional. Drinks are quickly refilled and the Loco Fries were absolute perfection...crispy, plentiful and heavily seasoned without tasting like it. The only downside is the the fry sauce didn't wow, but the fries don't really need anything to dip with because they are that good! There's a 2.5% up charge if you pay with card, just an FYI. read more

My visit was in Boise, Idaho. Service was spot on. Food - AWESOME!! COOL PLACE. Friendly staff. The best burger and fries I've ever had...hands down!! Love that the fries are cooked in tallow...healthier, crispy without being overcooked, not greasy. I had the steak burger- so so good and had a little spicy kick to it. Their burger patties are a healthy size and take up a lot of space in the bun so you aren't getting mostly bread. Definitely recommended and I will be back. read more

We went there yesterday and our hamburgers were so thick but not appetizing looking and looked frozen. Our burger was so greasy and overall just not good. My husband felt the same way. Our friend had a chicken sandwich and said it was Ok. I had a couple of bites of mine and just couldn't do it anymore. I also thought was a bit weird that there's no kids menu but we were giving option of chicken strips, hamburger or mac and cheese. Kids didn't like food either and barely ate. (Hamburger and chicken strips). Disappointed. read more

It's a good thing calories don't count on vacation. This place was so fun. We started with the candied bacon which was highly recommended by our Server. They hit the rosemary with a torch tableside. We each had a burger. I had the "208" burger with Brie, fig jam, Granny Smith apples, balsamic glaze with spring mix. Apples on a burger was interesting and it worked. The burger was delicious. My favorite dining partner had the "French Onion" burger on a croissant with Gruyère cheese and onion rings. We spilt a truffle parm fries which were crispy and delicious. For desert, we shared a "Mile High" milkshake with biscoff cookie butter and crumble, vanilla ice cream and carmel. It was amazing! The service was fantastic and the vibe is so fun. We will definitely be back next time we are in Boise. read more

This location is doing a bit of a remodel so the alcohol drinks were limited, so we ordered monstrous booze-filled milkshakes. The flavors were amazing but our stomachs fought back a few hours later, so beware! The burgers were wonderful! Cooked perfectly and soooo good! I loved their fries too. The team took great care of our party of 8 and we all had a great time just eating and gathering together in this fun spot. Sid's Garage is awesome !! This place has great rock tunes playing, fun decor and menu items and nice staff. I came in right when they opened today after attending an outdoor Polynesian hula dance class the village in Meridian was hosting and they got me seated at the bar right away. I just wanted one cocktail and a burger- I will say they are on the pricey side considering the burgers don't seem very big unless you're getting one with multiple patties and if you want fries or some kind of side with your burger that costs extra, from what the bartender said the sides are really big which is why they charge seperate for them but I didn't really care to have anything in addition to my burger and I came alone today so no one I could share anything with so I just did my cocktail and burger today. I got the watermelon cucumber fresh which was a very refreshing gin watermelon cocktail with a slice of English cucumber and the 208 burger lettuce wrapped. The burger had brie cheese, spring mix, granny Smith apple slices and a fig jam served on the side. It was very delicious and though on the small side, it was surprisingly filling ! It was just enough to satisfy me. I planned to go to the village cinema right after to catch a flick and i didn't need to stop by the concession stand at the movie theater ! At a little over $30 with tip it was worth it. I plan to come back to the village every Sunday this month for the Polynesian dance classes and I kind of want to stop in here each Sunday this month after the classes to try different items, just as long as my wallet will allow it ;) read more

I was looking g for a good burger and a beer. A good burger is what I got, and a big beer. I got the Not So Whimpy burger. I thought by the attitude of the place, if I didn't finish it, I'd get kicked out. I finished it but I didn't realize sides were extra. So I ordered the fried green beans. They were good but honestly, I've had better. The burger was tops and it wasn't huge. It was very manageable. I walked out smelling like a garage, my stomach was heavy, and my wallet was A LOT lighter. Oh, and you'll get an oil change from the menu too. read more

My GPS tried to tell me it was on the corner next too Urban outfitters. Parked my car then walked to where it said. Nope.. not the place that was the Columbia store. Typed in GPS again to get walking directions, took me to a place called Big Al's Sports bar.. nope still not the place. I found a directory near but and saw my GPS was taking me the wrong way both times. It was next to Athleta across from m.a.c. Walked in and was seated right away. While waiting for coworker was offered my drink choice.. water it was. The milkshake do look really good (they even have adult ones) but only being able to take about 5 sips before the dairy kicks in is not worth it. The price was very good in the milkshakes as the ones on Vegas are about $20-$30 depending on where you go, so $13 was a nice change. Since it was our first time there the waitress said to try the basic burger. Did not even ask if we are adventurous eaters or what we like on them. Just a normal burger you can get anywhere. Not my cup of tea. I like to try weird and different. I decided to go with the BLT sliders and my coworker did go with basic burger. We got an order of Truffle Parmesan fries. We thought they would come out with our meal but they came as an appetizer and we almost finished the basket before our burgers came. Good fries but this meant we did not finish our burgers. I ate 1.5 of my 3 sliders and coworker ate only half her burger. Music is a bit load but we were told by a local if you complain about it they turn it up. I but during nice sunny weather it is great to sit outside and have the garage doors open up. It was raining and not so nice weather this week. I would go back there for the burger with Brie and apples on it to try. read more

Recently had my first experience at Sid's Garage and enjoyed it! The vibe is comfort food meets spectacle which makes for a fun evening. Cocktails here are a must. I got the Sinatra which was basically a smoked old fashioned. It came served in a smoke filled mini trunk (so fun!). It was a solid cocktail. For our starter, we opted for the parmesan truffle fries and the candied bacon. The parmesan truffle fries were shoestring width, perfectly crispy, and seasoned to perfection. The candied bacon came hanging from clips with rosemary and our server then flamed the bacon with a butane torch. It was quite a show. Plus, the bacon was the perfect balance of slightly sweet and smoky. Delicious! The grilled salmon was basically a grilled salmon salad. The salmon was overcooked and the salad was underdressed. So, a bit of a swing and a miss with that one. For dessert our group shared a shake. There were three of us and seriously, one shake was plenty for us all to have our fill and we still had enough for my dining companions to take some home. They are decadent, creative, and delicious. The service was friendly and the prices are reasonable. Get to it! read more

Food. On point. The burgers and Parmesan truffle fries are to die for. Service. Also on point. Fast and friendly service. Ambiance. So awesome and they have a garage door that opens for the warmer weather months! The only thing that is lacking is suitable high top seating that accommodates all sizes. Their high top bar chairs were uncomfortable, and def seemed like they were made for someone who is like a size 6 or 8, definitely not for my curvy girls out there.
