Update: Came here for the second time after being at the local movie theater. Their specialty is the steakburger, and they have many options. This time I tried the Lucky Irish Steakburger with fries. This burger has Swiss Cheese and grilled onions on rye bread. Very good. The fries, once again, were well seasoned and crispy, just the way I like them. The female server did a great job taking care of us. There were five men in our party, and she offered separate checks, which I really appreciated. I'm sure I'll be back. read more

Marty G's is nestled in a nice strip mall across from Luxe theaters. When you walk in, you're met with a nice rustic bar vibe and a "seat yourself" sign. It's a nice sports bar theme, but also welcoming and cozy. Once we sat down, a server came over immediately with menus. It seemed like she was the only server though, which made me feel badly for her...she never stopped moving the entire time we were there with taking orders, serving, refilling drinks, taking payments, etc. We had a party of four - I ordered the "Hail Mary" (2 patties, onion rings, bbq sauce, bacon, American cheese and pickles), hubby had the double steak burger and my friends ordered "The Big Hurt" and "Bullet Work". Bonus points for having multiple fries options (regular, garlic, French fry dippers and sweet potato), but unfortunately for me, they were out of sweet potato. Food came out relatively quickly and everything looked pretty delicious. My burger was bigger than I expected, which I appreciated. The onion ring was the perfect size for the patty and the drizzle of BBQ sauce was enough to flavor the burger without drowning it. The only downside was that the bacon wasn't crispy enough and the cheese was barely melted. The patties had some nice, crispy edges and the bun was soft even though it was toasted. It might have been bumped up a notch with some mayo on the bun, an extra slice of cheese and lettuce, but overall, it was a nice, very filling, burger. The fries were perfectly seasoned, slightly battered and the fry sauce was a great compliment. Everyone finished their meals and raved about how much they liked their burgers. Due to the one server taking care of so many tables, we didn't see her again until it was time for the check. Thankfully the water glasses were enormous and I luckily made it through dinner with just enough to drink. We would definitely visit again to check out all the great options on this menu! read more

Pastrami fries? Sign me up! The pastrami brought me back to my NY visit to a famous deli way bk in 2000... it was that good!!! And yes I've ordered it to go & delivery & both fab! & I had on another occasional a hamburger w/fried egg on gf bun that was stellar too, so some gluten free friendly options & everyone was SO nice... clearly quality & fresh everything! The 3.8 is about the right number. The food is good, nothing amazing. Fried pickles were better than avg. i know prices have gone up everywhere, but it's still hard to say you get fair quality for what you pay for. Biggest reason I'm not sure we would go back, it's hard to enjoy a meal when everything is sticky. From the table, to the salt and pepper shaker. Even the fork was stuck to the knife in the wrapped napkin they brought out. If you're looking for g for a place with a lot of sports channels, they have you covered there. They do have a military discount, but they also have a 3% credit card fee in addition to the listed menu price. read more

Ehhhh... I have mixed feelings. I never shy away from a burger. In fact, it's my go to. Maybe 'smash burgers' aren't my thing. Sadly they taste too done. While everything was alright, I preferred the sides to the actual burger sadly. The meat was too crispy around the edges. We went twice in one week even but haven't been back since. Finally got to try this place and it did not disappoint. We went in for lunch and the menu is great. We ordered the chili cheese fries as an appetizer, and they were delicious. We got the triple crown burger, the Hail Mary, and the birdie-we also tried the regular fries, fry dippers and onion rings, and everything was fresh, flavorful and delicious. The place itself is super fun- lots of fun sports signs and fun signage in general. The service was good, very attentive at the start and came back to check on us a couple times after we got our food. We would most definitely go back and try other things on their big menu (they have tons of burgers, chicken, hot dogs, and even lobster rolls). They make a good burger here! Both my husband and I got the classic cheeseburger with fries. They had different options but we both just wanted to try their classic burger. The burger patty is flavorful and juicy it probably one of the better burgers in the valley. We came back a second time and got the same thing and wasn't disappointed. Also, their fries are amazing. If I could give this place 10 stars I would. Holy smokes. First of all, inside is wonderful. Spacious with all the coolest sports memorabilia and TVs your eyes can see! Our server was sweet as can be and we met Matt, the owner, who was awesome!! Such a welcoming place. We started with fried pickles. They are spears and not the little slices, hot and super crunchy. I could have eaten 50 of them. My husband had the Field Of Dreams burger, and he took one bite, looked up at me and said "it's perfect." Perfect amount of spice/heat balanced with the burger. I had the Big Bears lobsta sammich, which I've been dreaming of all week, and it exceeded expectations. SO thrilled this place is here and we are already planning our next visit. My wife and I had a minute to grab lunch. We are skeptical i'm trying new places as the food in the treasure Valley is hit and miss. Let me tell you I ordered a classic burger with those pepper cheese and their steak cut fries. My Wife had the chicken sandwich grilled with a large Ortega chili. Solid! I recently visited newly opened Matty G's, specifically to try their Lobster Roll which didn't disappoint. The roll was loaded with lobster salad, crab, blue crab and shrimp! It came with a choice of fries. The fries were fresh, hot and crisp. I added a side of onion rings and they didn't disappoint. In fact, they are the best onion rings I've had in a while! Matty G's has a nice selection of burgers, wraps, hot dogs, street food and salads, so there really is something for everyone! The restaurant is casual and offers beer, seltzers, wine and cocktails, with Happy Hour between 2-5. There are several televisions, so it's a great place to watch a game. The service was friendly, attentive and prompt. I'll definitely be heading back to Matty G's to try some of their other menu items, but it will be difficult not to order the Lobster Roll again. Popped in and placed an order to go. Super cute place, loved the atmosphere and the service was great. She offered me a place at the bar to sit while waiting and gave me a water. Order did not take long at all. Unfortunately I did order a lobster roll, but didn't love it. However, there was nothing wrong with it! It was loaded, it just wasn't my thing. I highly recommend and support Matty G's. The restaurant has plenty of tv's to watch all kinds of sports, along with some real nice sports merchandise hanging on the walls. The menu has a ton of options between steak burgers, chili cheese fries, creative hotdogs, salads, and some good sounding dessert. We came in on a Sunday afternoon and got seated right away with a party of 7. The waitress was on top of her game with zero complaints. I enjoyed the triple crown cheese burger along with chili cheese fries. Great position size they definitely are not skimping anyone. My family and I will not be back to this place. Unfortunate, because we try to support local Eagle businesses. This will have been our 3rd try, but it will be our final visit. The service is mediocre at best, especially since the restaurant was not very busy. I know it's a casual restaurant, but the wait staff is just a bit too casual, and not trained in turning tables and being attentive to the customers in my opinion. Btw, our server was very nice. Additionally, on several occasions, we have asked for light seasoning on our burgers, as it seems, the seasoning shaker used at the grill is beyond liberal. Very salty burger patties. Sorry. For $17-$18 range for a burger and fries I could have gone to CRAVE across the way where I know what to expect in terms of quality of food and service. Sure, I know it's a much different dining experience, but the price points are similar in some instances. My server asked me to sign a crumpled merchant receipt. But I never received my copy of the receipt where I could add a tip. And lastly, a request to include a veterans discount was acknowledged, but the waitress never added it to the line item receipt, thus no discount.
