Good Apple is what you call the definition of "your neighborhood bar," but without the feeling that if you're not a local you're not welcome (if that makes sense). We've been going here for a little over a year now and all of the staff is just so incredibly friendly. I mean I love being able to just walk in and ask "Andy what are we drinking?" And he knows exactly what hazy to get my husband and cider for me. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have a good amount of seating and when it gets a little busier they open up their event room for extra space.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]When it's nice out they also have outside seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There is plenty of parking on the premise, even when it's been busy we've had no problem finding parking. They don't serve food, but you can order from uncle bobs in the same complex, pick it up and bring it over. They used to have a food truck that would park in the back but I haven't seen one in quite some time. Came last night with a girlfriend for music trivia night and the owner decided he would scold me like a child in front of a full bar of other patrons. His statement to me was, "you're on thin ice". I was like dang what did I do? He said to me, "you hit your vape and left trash at the end of the bar, I have a picture if you want to see it". [[HIGHLIGHT]]I can admit to hitting my vape in there, but I did not see anything that said, "NO vaping" and I've hit my vape in there before.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The first time that he told me, I never did it again, so it's not like I continued to defy him at all! A different friend and I had came maybe two weeks earlier and ordered pizza from Uncle Bob's and ate it while we played trivia. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The gentleman that I was with said he would throw away the trash when we finished and I did not even take notice to where he put it or what he did with it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If the owner would have just mentioned it to me (instead of discussing his discretions with other patrons after I left), I would've apologized (which I did) and made sure that it didn't happen again. If I could rate the Good Apple Taphouse 10/5 I would! We had the BEST service and experience I think we have ever had! We stopped in right when they opened because I saw a girl I follow on Instagram stop by here often with her husband and thought if the locals to the Boise area love it, we probably would too! We came in what we thought was for a drink, and ended up staying half a day! We had AMAZING service because of Andy. He was so fun to talk to and I told him about my love of huckleberry syrup and he handed me his personal bottle he bought from the farmers market and gave it to me, quite literally the sweetest thing I have ever encountered. They had a nice variety of ciders, which is totally my jam and we ordered pizza from the joint next door and talked with other locals for several hours. It was an incredible experience and we talk about the Good Apple Taphouse all the time now that we are back home in Arizona. We will be back!! Thank you again, Andy, for your wonderful service! I love Good Apple! Note that it is 21+ up so we can only go when we have a babysitter, which is fine. This makes Good Apple even more fun when taking a break from the kiddos. It is weird though, they're dog friendly and some people treat their dog like a child haha. Good Apple has the best tap list in the Treasure Valley. While the tap list is not as big as Bittercreek, the selection is better thought out. They don't have food either, but they do have food trucks on certain nights. Spent a great afternoon there. I did beer tastings and wife did cider tastings. After careful sampling, we decided everything was delicious. The barman was knowledgeable and friendly.
