I was super excited to try out Bert's after seeing how cute their decor was! I went with a couple of girlfriends for a beer before dinner downtown, and I was so pumped to try their new cherry sour I had seen marketed on their Instagram. Upon arriving my first impression was that the decor is top notch! The only downside was that it was raining outside and there wasn't a lot of seating inside. We ended up cozying up to 2 families with their kids spread out all over - not a huge deal but it was a bummer that they couldn't scooch a little closer to make more space for others. Went up to the bar and asked for the sour, only to find that they were out. I immediately saw that there were cans of it in the fridge next to the bar and asked if I could pay for the cans and open them in bar. The bartender rudely told me those were for to go only. I was disappointed but business rules go! I ended up trying two different beers and none of them were memorable enough to remember. I have, since then, tried the sour from the Co-Op and it's one of the best I've had in a while. All in all, I would go back if I was invited but didn't see any reason to make this one of my go-to spots. I would've paid the can price + a corkage fee if it had been an option! So maybe if they start doing that in the future I would go back again!

These guys now have their badass beer in 4 packs!

These guys are extremely warm from the minute that you walk in, they don't have food, but they do have bad ass food trucks right out outside! Ambience is nice, very relaxing, dog friendly, and kid friendly ! Great service, the people that work here really care about their beer, and they are very knowledgeable about it !

Great atmosphere for small group or large group entertaining. The beer and overall vibe of Bert's Brewing was beyond expectation. The owners opened up for a large group on Monday (which is the day they are really closed). Such a nice evening in the Garden City area, lots of new places popping up. Parking is a little difficult so plan ahead.

Betts is great, just be careful where you park. $200 even on a Sunday. They will boot your car if you're not careful where you park.

Everything was fresh, hot, and incredibly flavorful. The service was excellent, and the staff made us feel very welcome. If the weather is cooperating, sit outside. The beer selection is impressive, with a great range of lagers and ales. We had our eye on one particular light, crisp option, but they were out for the night. Our server pointed us toward something comparable... I believe it was called Teddy Bearnd...it worked. Now, the food. My friend went for one of their signature burgers, which was seasoned simply so the beef really gets to shine. The only hiccup was that they were out of tomatoes, which is a non-negotiable topping for her, so keep that in mind if tomatoes are a must. I went a different route and ordered the beef focaccia. Uniquely layered ribeye and really good. We also shared a Greek salad that was simple but fresh and satisfying. And the french fries with their homemade ketchup? Don't skip em. Service was smooth and friendly from start to finish. No complaints.

He was very informative about where to go and places to check out in Boise. I ordered one of the local beers and their flagship meal, the Santa Maria Tri Tip Sandwich. As you can see by looking at the photos, the tri-tip was cooked to perfection. It had tomatoes, poblano, and chimichurri sauce on it to add to the flavors of the tri-tip. The bread consistency was great, not too soggy, and with a great crispy texture. I wish they had spread the tri-tip out more to make sure every bite was being celebrated. I also ordered the mac and cheese as the side per the instructions of the bartender, James. Let me say that was one of the best mac and cheeses that I have ever had. Truly amazing creamy texture and full of rich flavor. Everything melted in your mouth. Definitely worth it. I eventually ended up talking to a fellow bar sitter, and he ended up being the co-owner of the place, TJ. He also filled me in on the places to go and, most definitely, the places to travel to, to experience great beer. He was refreshing to talk to since most people don't have the passion for beer that we both represent. I would highly recommend this place for the staff that is there the solid pub style restaurant that they have created. Super easy and relaxed kinda of place.
