Over all the service here wasn't the best. Took them 10 minuets for them to take my order. Once I got our drinks, they were cold and tasted like I was drinking something that came out of a tube. It had like a plastic taste to It. I tried to mention something, but I was told not to worry about it.. that I'll be ok. Like what? So with that said the service sucked and so did the beer. This place is a pretty chill place to hang. Choose indoor or outdoor seating. Inside is a bit loud but isn't that why you are out on the town?! To see, hear, and be with people?! No pun intended but this place is "hopping"! (Get it Hops & Bottles... hopping? No?) My jaw dropped when I saw the prices on the library collection of beer to choose from and for only a few dollars!?? Hold it right there.... there is a corking fee but don't worry, your beer will still be WAY more affordable than a beer down the street or in the heart of town. (Beers on tap as well!) They had really good beer tenders in the past , but I have to say overall vibe here absolutely sucks . It's just off . I went in yesterday to buy ciders and When you buy alcohol there and drink it they charged me a corkage fee for whatever reason ? When my husband met up with me he ordered drinks and they never charged him one so that's a red flag . Maybe they don't like women drinking on their property ? I don't fully know The ppl who go there are really weird too . Also they're very stuffy and seem offended by dogs coming in Wich is odd because the establishment claims to be a dog bar ? It's kind of like a stuck up hippy granola atmosphere but there are all kinds of ppl who go there too . It's also pretty dirty so I'm not a big fan of that . At first, I liked the set up but after spending sometime here it was clear that they prefer their regular crowd and our business wasn't needed. This is the best thing to happen to Boise. I love the huge selection of all beers (IPAs especially) and the wonderful staff. Found by accident walking the dog. So lovely. Casual and friendly on Saturday night. There was a fair in town that weekend so probably why it was so chill. Our dog made friends with a sweet golden retriever and they roamed around happily. The beer selection was 5* staff was 6*!! read more

There's a brand new bottle shop and tap room in the Linen District and it's pretty fantastic! We decided to stop in and pick up six pack (plus a few cans) for a 4th of July BBQ yesterday and have a pint while there. Hops & Bottles is bright and open, welcoming to dogs (no kids allowed though) and has a great selection of draft beer (about 20 on tap) and an even better selection of bottles and cans. The bottles and cans can be consumed in house ($1 opening fee) or purchased to go, you can even pick up a bottle of wine. The beer is sorted by type and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable.
