Wowah, if you haven't been, you probably should go right now... well when they open. What a great place! The environment is so welcoming, clean, and the seating is so comfortable. I know that sounds strange but uncomfy seating is the worst. You will probably just want to sit here all night/day drinking beer/cider. Expect several beers on tap and a few local ciders as well. I always get the Idaho Potato Lager but I can't wait to try their seasonal ales this summer. I tend to find one and stick to it so I plan to branch out a bit. No matter, there is a beer for you! This is a patio you won't want to miss in the summer. It is fenced off, roomy and I just can't wait for it to warm up. I hope they add some string lights.... I die for patios with string lights in the warmer months. There are a few games if you want to do a game night with some friends or even bring your computer to study. Each time I have been in here there is always someone on their computer studying. Genius-study while beering! Limited parking but there is side street parking. Sounds silly but check out the bathrooms. Look for the little things.... like the hanger in the bathrooms, the faucet, the door handle. The coolness is in the small details. This place is pretty darn amazing and everyone of so friendly and happy! See you there!!

The food and drinks are incredible. I got the Banh Mi and everything from the sandwich to the chips were delicious. I enjoyed the atmosphere as well, we will definitely be back!

Beer was good. Food choices limited. Did not have any hazy's which I love. Indoors was meh. Outdoor area was cute though. Extra star for their adorable merch. got myself a super cute shirt.

XBearimental Imperial IPA with some fresh hops on top.

Awesome service and a great brewery. Great location in the Boise fire station #6. Lots of love for Vets and Firefighters. The beers are tasty!

Love the beer you can drink it like juice!!! and the owners are so nice! This place is super cool looking fairly new still if you go in for your first time don't forget to checkout the bathrooms the owners even bring up the bathrooms but super cool looking place! I love the beer but this place has so much more potential it's not quite a 5 star experience yet.

If you haven't checked out Bear Island yet...WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU!?!? This little brewery is one of my new go to spots!! Its family owned and operated, which I love! The building is unique and well decorated adding a very warm and friendly atmosphere! But atmosphere-stmatmosphere....its a brewery, so all you care about is the beer right??? WELL GOOD NEWS...THEY NAIL IT!!! They have rotating taps constantly, which makes for a fun experience trying new beers. The blonde, brown and IPA which seem to always be on are all really good. The "fuse" is a pepper infused beer that is very tasty and would make a great red beer......BUT WHAT REALLY GETS ME PUMPED UP ABOUT THIS PLACE IS THEIR INNOVATIVE STOUTS!!!! One of the best stouts I have ever had in my life(and that is saying a lot) is the LADY M.....its a lavender chocolate stout(I know sounds super weird)...BUT IT IS AMAZING!! Only downfall is it is seasonal and sells out super quick! They also brew a beer called "Christmas In Your Mouth"....I cant begin to break down the ingredients for you...but it does as promised and puts Christmas in your mouth!! Who doesn't want that!! Right now they have a German chocolate cake stout...what you ask? YES A GERMAN CHOCOLATE CAKE STOUT....it's as good as it sounds...mind blown!!! I'm slowly becoming a regular here...and I'm excited about this place. No food, but the trucks come around Tuesday, Friday and Saturday nights to soak up some of that beer in your belly! They always have the game on and a dog friendly patio...so come check it out!

Stopped by with a few friends. Very cool place! Very nice and clean and the beer was good! I was happy to see that they were busy. The building is very cool and unique. The Bar tender was nice. He was busy helping others but he still acknowledged us and when he was free he came over and took our orders. All in all its a solid brewery. Good location, decent parking. The front parking was full but they have a back lot so that was nice. I plan on making this a regular spot!

Almost made me want to move here, they were easy to talk to and were completely personal with their conversations. I ordered the flight of 4, 5-oz samples with an additional 2 more. Making it a 6-sample flight consisting of 30 oz of beer. What I ordered was their Recoil IPA (citrus), Rustler IPA (malty), Mutton Buster (brown ale), Oktoberfest (marzen lager), with the additional two of the Aura (hibiscus sour), and Sofa King Dreamy (tropical IPA). This place was absolutely amazing, from the outside drinking areas to the bathrooms. The bathroom was something I wasn't suspecting, all the way to the bonfire pit that was so huge, to even the forest of the wandering drinkers. I did come pretty close to close and the staff was still awesome and easy to work with. They weren't done with their shift and irrtitated which I see most of the time. I ended up buying some merchandise and some beer togo. If I lived here, I can totally see myself coming by this spot frequently. I have also been here in the summer time with my family and the outdoor courtyard is a good space for the kids to run around and we usually order them dinner for the rotating food trucks they have available. Bittercreek provided me with just what I needed today. Warm and inviting service and a terrific selection of food and beverages for me to enjoy. Dined alone at the bar and everyone that I came into contact with did what I expect. Timely greet and informative service personnel. Hats off to the whole team. Was talked into a Chardonnay from the Willamette Valley and it was spectacular. I usually stick to Willamette Valley reds but went for it after a tiny taste. It's what I needed but didn't know it until it was offered. Too many times I stick to my wheelhouse and don't stray but was coerced by someone who I assumed was the inhouse shotcaller. I had two glasses and it went well with the Bowl of Corn Chowder I was told about. Served hot and with some semi crusty sourdough that hit the spot. Finished every spoonful and it brought me back to my time in New England. The soup was done right for sure. Noone trying too hard which is an issue when trying to recreate a coastal favorite while land locked in the mountain state of Idaho. Right before I had.my second glass of Chardonnay, I asked "the front of the house shot caller" about the selection of Rums and was offered a taste of one that could have been a contender for my follow up beverage. No mixer needed. Would have made a great sipper, as most good rums can be but I elected for the second glass of Chardonnay. Glad that I did. Was feeling a bit buzzed and full from my meal and had to exit stage left before trying a dessert. I'm sure it would have been epic but I'm thin for a reason and don't overindulge. Thank you Bittercreek! My visit with you all made me wonder why I hadn't been in since 2006 or 2007. I'll, certainly, be visitong more often and will bring others with. You've got a fan in me!

I don't know that I have ever given a brewery a 5 Star review...this makes sense!…read more I have been doing my little Fish & Chips search through Boise and I will have to say, this place is Hands Down the best yet that I have found! Now I have been here a few times and I like the place. The service is good, especially in the bar. The place is very open and has great light and fresh air which I always love. Add to that some great food and creative cocktails and you have a winner! They have a great Old Fashion that is a creation of one of the bartenders and I think is just a fantastic drink! Balanced flavor, a little sweet but not too sweet...with a nice bourbon finish to it! Now back to the Fish & Chips...I have had them twice now, with the same cocktail to chase them down. These are what Fish & Chips are meant to be. The batter is light with a great crunch, not heavily breaded but a light flavorful batter! Fries are good, home-made tartar sauce which always hits...and all the items you want with them...lemon, vinegar and for me mustard! I will be back, over and over again. for a drink, some good service and the best Fish & Chips when I am having that craving! KT

I visited 10 Barrel Brewing recently with my fiancé, and while there were some high points…read moreregarding the flavors and service, the experience was a bit of a mixed bag. To start, I tried the Pickletini. As a fan of pickle-forward drinks, I found it "not bad"--a solid choice if you enjoy that briny profile. My fiancé opted for the All Ways Down Double IPA flight. At 9% ABV, it was a heavy hitter, but he really enjoyed the intense hop aroma and flavor provided by the Cryo Hops. For my main, I ordered the TNT Sando (Tri-Tip with bacon jam and garlic aioli) on Gaston's grilled focaccia. I requested it without pickles, and it was excellent. I paired it with the Black Bean and Veggie soup, which was a standout--perfectly delicious with a nice "zing" to it. Unfortunately, the meal hit a significant snag with my fiancé's Fish & Chips. The beer and cornmeal tempura batter was extremely thick (nearly 3/4 of an inch in some spots) and the fish was overcooked. Additionally, the blue cheese dressing on his side salad was very runny and tasted off. It was disappointing enough that we had to send it back. We replaced it with The Spicy Italian pizza. This was a total 180--it arrived looking beautiful, and the combination of the meats, pepperoncinis, and hot honey was absolutely delicious. Our server, Casey P., was generally good and attentive, though we did have to wait to start our meal because we weren't initially provided with napkins or silverware. A minor note on the atmosphere: the table we were seated at had "gay" carved into the wood, which felt a bit out of place for the professional vibe of the rest of the establishment. Overall, the TNT Sando, the pizza, and the beers are worth coming back for, but the kitchen consistency on the fried items definitely needs some work.
