This place is kind of neat. The staff is super friendly and holds a great conversation. They have some regulars that love this place but for me, their IPAs just didn't finish well. I didn't feel completely satisfied when I was drinking it. It wasn't bad but wasn't something that I want more of. They do have some guest taps and they do have a good selection of beers. The bar seating was great and they have a great logo. I would love for them to sell metal tackers! Perhaps not the best one I've ever has but I am pretty picky with this type of lager but it was still enjoyable as it has a nice crispness to it. I don't drink, so this review is based on the experience during trivia night! It was so fun! Lots of open seating, and you can hear the clues loud and clear. It was spacious enough for people who are weary of Covid but still want to enjoy going out. My friends can also vouch that the beer was great. I had two chicken tacos from the Lucky Root truck, and they were delicious as well. Lots of street parking. Definitely recommend for a fun trivia night! read more

This review is for the Chinden Brewery. I went here frequently when it was County Line. The other day, we finally had a chance to stop in since the ownership change, and it was a disappointment. The shuffleboard table was removed, the Clairvoyant beer was just average, and the prices were higher. Also the friendly neighborhood "nice to see you again; thanks for stopping by," vibe from the bartenders that made County Line great was just not there anymore. With the craft brewery market in Boise now very crowded and highly competitive, I suggest checking out other brewpubs with better prices and friendlier service. read more

We went in on Saturday night ordered 4ounce tasters of everything they had. There were about 4 really good ones, which were Raspberry Amber, Dark Belgian, Cream Ale and IPA. The building was nice and clean, the bartender was helpful. We will be back! read more

This place was my favorite brewery in Boise! I came here on a Sunday afternoon and tasted nearly every beer they had. Every beer is crafted well. My personal favorites are the brown ale, koffee kolsch, and passion fruit Pilsner. Everything is reasonably priced and tastes excellent. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed. Fun little North end gem tucked away on 28th Street. Easy to get to with convenient street parking. Inside it has a kind of industrial vibe. I think it was a garage at one time? The roll-up door are still there so it would be a great place in the summer. Dogs are allowed inside, always a plus in my book, and a food truck in the parking lot (Raman Sho on a Thursday - yummm). Now to the really good stuff, the beer and service are both excellent! I had the oaked Russian imperial stout. Dark, delicious & smooth. The oak finish cut that bite you get in the aftertaste of some Russian imperial stouts. The staff was friendly, funny, knowledgeable and gave us great service with smiles all around. The only ding, which wasn't enough for me to remove a star, is the sun shines bright through the South side windows, so at some point you may have to move tables or your group may get really tight sitting on one side of the table. read more

Cool brewery that seems to always have something going on. Dog friendly and plenty of outdoor space. The beers that I have had were good. Both times I have been there, it was really busy. Maybe I am just getting older, but it was a little loud for me to stay for an extended time. They do know how to deal with a crowd though. We didn't have to wait very long for a beer! You guys - they give you free Goldfish (not the animal - I'm talking "the snack that smiles back"). When I was ordering my drink, I saw a big carton of Goldfish and was about to jokingly ask if I could have some when someone else walked up to the counter and beat me to the punch...but they were serious and walked away with a cup full of Goldfish. Super stoked, I asked for a cup of my own, ordered a Malbec, then walked to my table with a glass of red wine in one hand and Goldfish crackers in the other. Dream life. The prices and ordering is very simple here. Walk up to the counter and order what you want, they pour it, you take it to your table. Beers are $5, ciders are $6, and wines are $7. The wine I had was "on tap" which I was skeptical about at first, but it was actually pretty dang good. The wine they [currently] carry is from Proletariat Wine Company. Their Malbec has a nice bold flavor with fruity undertones, but isn't overwhelming in sweetness. Beyond their drinks, the vibe here is so fun. It's tucked away in an inconspicuous part of a North End neighborhood (I guess this could almost be considered West Boise). It's cross streets are 28th and Idaho. The building has garage doors on two sides of it, which they keep open in the warmer summer months. I'm a sucker for charming details like this - so these garage doors won me over before I even stepped inside. The wife and I first visited Clairvoyant during their soft opening in October of 2017 and this has been our spot since then. The craft beer is on point, the staff is super friendly and fun and the place is very clean and very well run. It is kid and dog friendly and there is often food trucks and live music. I love that their beers don't have fancy names that you have to remember and they are all $5 20oz pours!! I would like to start by first saying that the quality of the beer I did have (the heffe and blonde) was excellent, based on that alone I would have given a higher review, I would also like to add that the service was friendly and quick. The reason for the reduction in rating is a result of service being quite limited when I came in, that being I was hoping to get a flight or two if necessary in order to sample all of the beers they make but was told that flights aren't available and that I would only be able to try at the most was two different beers (even offered to purchase samples I wasn't looking for freebies) unless I wanted to purchase a full pint of each. I inquired about purchasing merchandise and was told none was available at the time..so while I enjoyed the beer I did try, I was hoping to spend much more in your establishment but was simply not allowed to haha read more

Great place to have a variety of craft beers. Awesome vibe and very tidy and clean. The only thing I don't like is the free reign dogs and kids often seem to have. It seems like a lot of people come here for "free doggy and kiddie day care" as it sometimes gets annoying when you're sipping on a beer and an unattended child approaches your table while another patron's dog starts barking or sniffing you under the table. I don't blame the brewery for that as it is more of an parental or dog owner issue, but I feel it needs to be clear this is a bar where not everyone wants to be bothered by dogs and kids. I know I am a cynic, but would be cool to have dog and kid rules posted. My biggest fear is an unattended kid versus an unattended dog scenario which I hope has not happened. Anyway 4/5 for hipsters not tending to kids and dogs. read more

I am a bit torn leaving this review because it's such a hidden gem I don't want people finding out about it LOL. Honestly I go out ALOT as you can see by my reviews, but the level of service I received tonight was top notch! The gentleman who assisted us tonight on 10/9/21 was super kind and was taking care of everyone and picking up cups and doing it all with a smile like no bodies business. I thought he was the owner. He did amazing. They had live music, food trucks out side, great beers I didn't see they had darts till after I was leaving. They did have a small little calendar of food trucks that come but I really wish they had something posted online since it is kinda the era we live in. After looking at there Instagram there's been only like 5 post in the last 30 days, you would be able to drive a bit more business with more interactions or even just posting the food truck schedule once a month. Analytics have proven this and it's free. There are alot of foodies who also like to drink beer here in Boise and would be able to find the schedule in a snap. Also we sat out side and while it was very spacious it was cold would be nice to get a few of those out side heaters for people sitting outside. Over all it was very welcoming. I would definitely recommend. I will be going back. Keep it local and come and enjoy your self! read more

This was a great place to stop and watch the packers game. They are an official packers everywhere bar, the owners are from Wisconsin. Their Pilsner is amazing. Pints are only $5 which is amazing for a craft brewery these days. They even let my girlfriend bring her coffee in. Plenty of tvs, they have Sunday ticket, and they play the tv commentary with a great sound system! Wish I lived in Boise I would go there every Sunday! read more

I really enjoyed my visit here yesterday. Not only was the bartender very helpful in playing to my unique and super picky beer taste (I dislike most beer) but she did not make me feel like an imbecile in the process. That is something that happens often at breweries and I honestly cannot blame them. Who wants someone whose favorite beer is PBR in their brewery anyways?! The brewery was hosting three short plays from the Boise State Theatre department. That made my heart warm and encouraged me to enjoy everything even more.
