With a couple of hours to kill in downtown Boise a nice beer sounded good. The selection of German draft beers was inviting too so I checked it out. I ordered a liter of Schneider Weiße Helles and a Currywurst. Not a typical combo in Germany - beer from Bavaria and fast food from Berlin but it worked. The beer was good and fresh. The Currywurst could have been a little hotter but it was still good. The service was great too. A nice place to hang out!

We stopped in for a drink and dinner (we didn't look at the menu prior so that was our fault) we didn't realize until we sat down it's not really a restaurant and just more of a bar with German bar food. Which is great don't get me wrong. Just wasn't what we were looking for. We have been to Germany quite a few times. We ordered a traditional German drink. Bitburger and sprite. And the server looked at us like we were nuts and kept questioning us. Overall the server wasn't very friendly or attentive. We had to get up to get him a few times. Anyhow the beer was great, the food looked great, just not the best service or knowledge of German Beer drinks for a German pub. If we come back into town, we will most likely be back because we do really just love German beer haha. Anyways check it out if you're the same!

If you love German beer then you will love Prost! Excellent service & great appetizers. I will definitely be back. Saw a table get a boot full of beer so if you're wanting a lot of beer this is a great idea to try.

Pro-tip: The restaurant is really small and the tables are first come first serve so it's all a waiting game. It's very niche so you really should be here for the beer, the German vibe, or German food. If you're not crazy about even one of these three things, probably not the right place for you. Highlights: It's a fun environment and very strong on the German theme. I'm not really into German food, so it was just ok in my book. Lowlights: They don't have boots anymore because of COVID. It took forever for the servers to come to us even when we were trying to waive them down to put in our orders/ask for the check/etc.

Outdoor and indoor seating, nice lunch menu. Fast and friendly service. Misters and bench tables. Great prices.

This place has many varieties of German beers. I had the Weihenstephaner Dunkel Weisse. I only wish they had schnitzel. I've been here several times and the food doesn't disappoint, what with the tiny kitchen area. I had the pastrami and havarti sandwich on rye. A decent amount of meat, topped with sauerkraut, onions, aioli and really good mustard on some bitchin' rye bread. The German warm potato salad was a great side. Pretty dang good food, and I lived in Germany for many years.

Downtown Boise. Indoor, outdoor and bar seating. We came around midnight on a Friday/Saturday and the place was still poppin. Decent beer and wine selection. I can't comment on the food. I had to go with a liter of beer once I saw those were offered. Huge mugs! Enjoyed my Pilsner. Two of those total for my friend and I put me back around $25 after tax and tip as of May 2021. Not a bad deal, considering the amount of beer and quality of it!

If you're in the mood for a sausage and pretzel this is the spot. Seating can be hard to find if you come during a busy game or before a hockey game but otherwise it's totally fine. Love their pretzel and the brat

Amazing German beer! The best in Boise some would say. Spencer is an amazing bartender :) The wedding style soup (if available) is top tier.

So me and the wife walking around downtown and found this place. I had really never tried German beer before and the food sounded good. Place was busy Found a few seats at the bar. The lady that was pouring beer was very helpful. Got to say The stein of beer I got was very good. Believe it was a larger. The food was so good my sandwich was yummy The sauerkraut was amazing. My side I got potato salad it was a little different it was warm. I never had it that way but it was good. My wife food was yummy too the spicy mustard was so good. The people are really friendly and nice. If your down in the area I highly recommend you try it too! Cheers

Fun place but the server added an extra tip onto the transactions. Looked at the credit card statement and it is higher than I tipped.

The steak was cooked perfectly, and I loved the different toppings in the salad the pear, the celery, the sweet potato it was fabulous. The fries from here are also really good. Employees make or break a place, and this guy broke it for me! I get it, we all have those days...this was a very talkative bartender that for what ever reason gave me zero attention and service! After I had sat there for 10 minutes, directly in front of him, with not even a glance (I was trying to make eye contact and not be rude) I had enough and asked him if I could have a drink....he took exception to my tone??? I didn't raise my voice, swear, anything....and he kicked me out!!!! After sitting there, watching the football game in silence for 40 plus minutes...he never asked me if I wanted a menu, how I was doing....he did bring me water of which I said thank you... All too often good businesses are sunk by bad service! I know I won't be back...especially knowing this sad excuse for a bartender will remain! There are a lot of places around here, with good food, with good service...I will go somewhere else, that's busier, without a seriously pathetic excuse for a bartender! Makes sense why every other spot on 13th was busy...except here! KT

Bittercreek provided me with just what I needed today. Warm and inviting service and a terrific selection of food and beverages for me to enjoy. Dined alone at the bar and everyone that I came into contact with did what I expect. Timely greet and informative service personnel. Hats off to the whole team. Was talked into a Chardonnay from the Willamette Valley and it was spectacular. I usually stick to Willamette Valley reds but went for it after a tiny taste. It's what I needed but didn't know it until it was offered. Too many times I stick to my wheelhouse and don't stray but was coerced by someone who I assumed was the inhouse shotcaller. I had two glasses and it went well with the Bowl of Corn Chowder I was told about. Served hot and with some semi crusty sourdough that hit the spot. Finished every spoonful and it brought me back to my time in New England. The soup was done right for sure. Noone trying too hard which is an issue when trying to recreate a coastal favorite while land locked in the mountain state of Idaho. Right before I had.my second glass of Chardonnay, I asked "the front of the house shot caller" about the selection of Rums and was offered a taste of one that could have been a contender for my follow up beverage. No mixer needed. Would have made a great sipper, as most good rums can be but I elected for the second glass of Chardonnay. Glad that I did. Was feeling a bit buzzed and full from my meal and had to exit stage left before trying a dessert. I'm sure it would have been epic but I'm thin for a reason and don't overindulge. Thank you Bittercreek! My visit with you all made me wonder why I hadn't been in since 2006 or 2007. I'll, certainly, be visitong more often and will bring others with. You've got a fan in me!
