Bacquet's has been on my to go list for a long time. My cousin wanted to celebrate her birthday here so it's finally my time to try it out! Our reservation was at 6:30. I showed up first and was sat at our table that was beautifully set. After everyone showed up, we got to looking over the menu. Everything on the menu looked good. I'm not a big protein eater so my options were quite limited. What I did see that I could have was the ratatouille pasta. I did notice on their lunch menu that they offer a couple salads. It would have been nice to have that option for dinner. After orders were placed, we enjoyed the fresh bread and butter. There was a live band playing in the background which created such a nice vibe to the place. The bread was fabulous! It was warm, crusty on the outside and so soft in the middle. The butter that was paired with the bread was delicious! So soft and salty. It was hard not to over butter the bread, it was the perfect vessel for the butter. I did order the soup de jour to start. It's a black truffle cream of asparagus soup. First glance at the soup, it looked creamy and rich. The croutons on top were perfectly golden. After a couple bites, rich is how I would describe this soup. It was savory and thick. The croutons added a nice texture to the soup. I was able to eat about half. It honestly was too rich. And then you add the buttery croutons, it was overwhelming. It would have have nice to have small pieces of asparagus to help with the texture and less croutons. Dinner took a while to come out. My pasta was prettily plated in a big pasta bowl. You can see the papperdelle pasta covered in the sauce. The pieces of zucchini, egg plant and bell pepper were delicately diced. The papperdelle was cooked nicely. The sauce was hearty from the veggies. The sauce also had a nice heat to it. It could have used a hair more salt to the dish. It would have been nice to have salt and pepper at the table but non was available. As hearty as the sauce was, it was underwhelming in flavor. We did end dinner with some bread pudding and creme brulee. Both were devine! The bread pudding was hot and sweet. You can tell that it came straight out the oven. The creme brulee was creamy. The sugar crust added a nice bitter element to the custard. Both were beautifully presented. I think I would have enjoyed this experience if we didn't have such long wait times for everything. It took us 3 hours from start to finish. Long wait time for our starters, for dinner and then for dessert. The bread and butter as fantastic. The soup was overwhelmingly rich. The pasta needed more seasoning. It was a neat experience with the live music and ambiance of the venue but the food was just ok for me.

The duck was incredible. Comfort food incorporated.

Absolutely amazing experience! Food: 5/5. Started off with the escargot. I had never had it before but have always wanted to try it and thought "why not". It was great! Still sizzling hot, buttery and quite pleasant! If you have ever wanted to try it, I recommend trying it here. We went on a Thursday when they have Prime Rib which was absolutely delicious! We also got the duck leg which was amazing as well. For dessert, the creme brûlée was top-notch and plated beautifully! Our waitress also recommends a delicious Malbec wine that paired well with our meal. Service: 5/5. Savannah was delightful and so welcoming! Atmosphere: 5/5. We sat on the patio which has a water feature and a great ambiance. Indoors is a completely different, more elevated vibe. I feel like either options makes for a great experience. This was the perfect restaurant for a celebration and a great place for a date night! There were a few older kids, but I would not recommend taking younger kids to this establishment. Looking forward to our next time here!

We dropped in spur of the moment on a Sunday for lunch. We found the experience to be relaxing and the food delicious! My husband and I each got the French dip sandwich and loved it. it came with a small salad, rolls and butter. the server was friendly and very accommodating. 5 stars!!

In 2023 I listed Bacquet's as one of the best restaurants in all the places I visited that year That included restaurant visits in Philadelphia, Chicago, New Orleans, Istanbul, and Paris. I had a chance to go back before heading out to Greensboro North Carolina for work and it's as amazing now as it was in 2023. Why I wait so long between visits is beyond reason Whoever was the chef the day I visited made me a spectacular salad. The shallot balsamic vinaigrette was on point. I decided to have escargots and it instantly brought me back to many trips to France. The garlic and butter was just the right amount and while it was splendide, having the ACME bread to soak up every drop afterwards was the proverbial icing on the cake. Our service was professional and timely. Nous avons la chance d'avoir Bacquet's à deux pas de chez nous. C'est une vraie cuisine française, préparée et présentée avec soin.

Absolutely fantastic food and flavors! An excellent dining experience and well worth the drive to Eagle to enjoy. The Salmon was cooked perfectly and very juicy and delicious.

A charming atmosphere with exquisite food and exceptional service. Elevated French bistro. Some of the best escargot I've had. The crab fest was delightful!

It was my first time eating French food in Boise. The food was good and the environment was OK. However, the French food took more than two and half hours dessert is good, but not for to go.

Hi do you serve whole fish as daily special?

A few times each year we've offered our favorite fish species, but they're usually prepared without the head.

Today's Eagle pick is JoVinos. It's conveniently 5 minutes away from my house. I have driven by this place hundreds of times and never put two and two together that this is a coffee joint. I have been to Caffeina heading towards downtown on State and their downtown location a handful of times. It's nice to know there's another one heading in the other direction for me to hit up. Pulling up, this venue is stunning. I love the tables outside but you also see the beautiful outdoor seating available, how cozy and romantic. I walked in and can already tell by the esthetic of this joint that it's a branch off of Caffeina. The plants, chill vibe and unique set up. This coffee joint is so sexy and chill. The colors of the decor, the green lush leaves, the way the tables and chairs are set up. You can hang out and not realize how much time has passed by. Out of all the coffee joints in town, I would have never thought I would use sexy and coffee together but at this location, it fits. I ordered my regular drink today. Med iced americano with some sugar free white chocolate. The barista that helped me was sweet and got my drink started. She was kind and asked if I wanted to pour my own cream, it was nice to have that option. I'm not picky so I let her make my drink how she saw fit. My drink we delicious! Rich in espresso, the perfect amount of cream and slightly sweet. I sipped and enjoyed my americano while enjoying the cool atmosphere. I sat towards the back where there were huge comfy pillows. I would have loved to enjoy the outside seating but the air conditioning was feeling too good on this hot summer day. I know this joint acts as a wine bar as well. A nice option to come in for wine or coffee for the non drinkers. Plenty of seating for few friends to come in for some beverages and gossip. This joint is nothing like anything else in town. Romantic, sexy and chill. I can't wait to come back by myself or with a few of my friends. I can see this place being a hot spot for a night cap. The waterfall, patio lighting and your favorite person. That would be a great way to end any date or get together. I look forward to having a night like this here.

The burger had a nice flavor though a tad under seasoned and a notch more than medium-didn't blow my socks off, but it's a solid burger. And with the view by the patio, how can it not be the most perfect setting to enjoy my birthday dinner. We just stuck with water since it was on the warmer side today. We just went straight in for dinner. As much as the appetizers sounded lovely, I was ready for the main event. So for dinner tonight I ordered the charboiled salmon with seasonal veggies in place of the salad. My salmon was plated beautifully with nice char marks on it. The veggies were a variety of squash and were sautéed nicely. And you can tell visually that they were seasoned nicely with spices and herbs. I dug right into my salmon. My first couple bites were delicious. I did spread some of the sun dried tomato butter on my salmon. The butter was fantastic! It added a nice flavor element to the salmon. After I ate about a a fourth of my salmon, I noticed that it was not cooked all the way through in the middle. With my new kidney, I can't have rare or undercooked fish. My immune system can't handle a parasite if the fish were to potentially contain any. I shouldn't have assumed that it was going to be cooked all the way since our server didn't ask how well I wanted it cooked. I did have to send it back and have another one remade. While my new fish was being prepared, my server gave me a small salad plate to transfer my veggies to. I got to work on them so I wasn't staring at my family eat. The veggies were cooked perfectly. They weren't overly soft or still raw. It had a nice bite to them while still being tender. Unfortunately, they were overly seasoned and was on the saltier side. I was hungry so I polished them off. But I did have to drink a good amount of water to help with the saltiness. Thank goodness the portion was on the daintier side. As hungry as I was, it would have been bad if it was a bigger portion. All that salt would not be good on my new kidney. My second round of salmon came out. Was it as pretty as my first plate, no but it will do. I'm sure they set the flame on high, let it sit on the grill for a while and then flipped it to cook the other side. I have cooked salmon well done plenty of times and have it come out tender. When you cook for a living, having cooking times for your dishes should be down to a science in your kitchen. Unfortunately, the salmon was super dry and flavorless. As hungry as I was, I ate it. The butter did help with the dryness of the salmon. But I shouldn't have to rely on butter to make the dish edible. For my birthday, I got a free dessert. I chose the gluten free carrot cake. My cousin eats a gluten free diet so I thought this cake would be perfect for all of us. I enjoyed the cake very much! The cake was moist. The spices in the cake were fragrant and very noticeable in each bite. I loved the frosting on the cake. Since the cake wasn't overly sweet, the frosting added a nice sweetness to it. I enjoyed the cake very much! Our server did a mid job. There were times when she would be gone for long periods of time and we had to wait for her. The patio was perfect with its stunning view. Dinner was ok but dessert was fabulous. Overall it was a decent experience. I do look forward to coming back and enjoying the outdoor patio with my husband for a date night. I just know now to make sure I vocalize everything to my server so I don't end up with dry salmon again. I do want to come back and have a better experience.

I've been coming to Crave for a while now, this was probably my tenth plus visit and the food has consistently been really good. That's what keeps us coming back. Unfortunately, this last visit missed the mark. I made a reservation and was seated in the back room next to two private parties, rather than a booth or the main dining area. The room was loud and the spot was uncomfortable. And really, who wants to have dinner with their family wedged into a party room alongside two other parties? What really stung was watching a party who came in after us get seated in the party room and then moved to a different section, but when we asked to move, we were told it'd be a 20-30 minute wait. It's also a little odd to be awkwardly squeezed into a party room in the first place. That space should be for actual parties, not for packing in reservation guests to hit max capacity. Sometimes a short wait for the right table is worth far more than being seated immediately in an uncomfortable spot, I'd have happily waited. Here's the thing: between the data they're already collecting through Resy and a little plain common sense, this should be an easy fix. They can see who's a repeat guest, what reservations are booked, and how the floor is filling up. Use it, or at minimum, just pay attention to the room and seat people thoughtfully. It's not bad enough for one or two stars; the food and overall experience have earned more goodwill than that, and servers are always top notch. But better situational awareness and common send from their host staff would go a long way. A reservation should mean something, and a marketing tip, regulars notice this stuff. A big turn off after a stressful week, I probably won't be back. If looking for a flawless experience after a stressful week, I would find another place with a more competent host staff.

I visited here for the second time tonight... had such a delightful experience (on Ladies Night,…read morewhich happens to be every Wednesday...) I don't smoke, & sensitive to all types of smoke...so I'd thought I'd have issues here... but their state of the art air purification system really works! I came as I appreciate quality & creativity when a full bar is present, being the Foodie that I am! Every staff member (as well as patrons) I met were all genuinely friendly, & full of ideas of drinks to try. (& fun info on cigars avail too of course... sounds like they have a great selection on that front too of course!)... As I'm a very light drinker, I qonly got to enjoy one delish drink this time , but I got to try another drink the 1st time I came, & I had a sip of my friend's drink ... all 3 drinks were fantastic... in quality spirits, in presentation, in atmosphere the drinks were enjoyed in... I highly recommend this as another downtown Eagle destination, even if u don't smoke, or u smoke but don't want to drink...as the cozy yet ample enviro lends itself to both intimate as well as group gatherings. I appreciate that I can bring my own food in, & that there is both indoor as well as outdoor seating. I rate it as very accessible, as multi seat types, multi entrances, spacious interior & exterior. Honestly it was nice to not feel rushed... & it was fairly quiet yet lively while I was there both times... so u can actually hear who u are talking to, unlike many restaurants (& coffee shops). Shout out to the great new GM & both bartenders who were very patient with this self proclaimed high interest low liquor knowledge gal
