This was such a satisfying meal. I split this meal with a girlfriend and it was so perfect! Best Caesar I've had in a while (the dressing was more of a vinaigrette than creamy). The bread was delish. This was a good pasta dish, I enjoyed the meat sauce. The service was good, although we got a different wine than ordered (we still drank ofc). So so so good!!! A birthday tradition for my oldest son! The pesto cream sauce and spinach linguine (all fresh) is amazingly good!!!

Nice little place. The bread was amazing. Nice and soft on the inside and with the prefect amount of crunch on the outside. Service was decent but not spectacular. Peach bellini was tasty. My husband got the Meat Lasagna and I got a build your own pasta. The Lasagna claims to be made with bolognese sauce and, though I am not doubting that it was, it was not authentic bolognese sauce. Something was just off about the sauce. Also, there was only cheese on the top of the dish. Lasagna is a layered dish but there did not appear to be any layers of cheese and hardly any noodles. It wasn't horrible but it was...sub par. I got angel hair pasta with Alfredo sauce, extra garlic and shrimp. Very simple dish. It was not bad. Lacked a little salt but not horrible. The one gripe I have is that when you make a pasta with shrimp, it is better when the shells on the tails are taken off. Usually someone is not going to want to go through the sauce and take the shell off and a majority of the time, people are not going to get the meat inside the trail so it is wasted. The atmosphere was nice and the bread was amazing but the rest was a little lack luster. read more

We've been in the Treasure Valley for 3.5 months and came here this evening, a Sunday, for the first time. We called ahead and made reservations for 5 pm. Located in downtown Eagle on State St., we found parking right next to the restaurant. Upon entering, there is the bar on the left and the restaurant on the right. The bar opens at 4 pm and the restaurant at 5. The bar area was very crowded and loud. I imagine that one can order food while seated in that area. The restaurant was a mixture of booths along three walls, half-booths along another wall, and tables in the middle. Our host, I believe his name is Jay (possibly the manager/owner?), seated us at a nice booth just inside the restaurant and next to a table set for a likely large party. Fortunately, that party did not materialize while we were dining, making our table very intimate and quiet. Our server was Eric, and he did a great job taking care of us. My wife ordered the spaghetti with meat sauce and chose to add some clams. I had the seafood lasagna. Both were delicious. They serve unlimted salad with the entrees, though one bowl served both of us just fine. Their bread is also very yummy, and you can have it with butter or balsamic vinegar and oil. We splurged and got two desserts, though one could serve two people. However, my wife loves tiramisu but they had mud pie, and I hadn't had it in a long time. Huge piece, but with my wife's help, i finished it. Meanwhile, my wife brought half her tiramisu home. The bill for our two entrees, a glass of wine and a draft beer, and the two desserts came to $86, not counting the tip, which I thought was reasonable. We will definitely be back! read more

The meals were absolutely terrible! The lasagna was ground hamburger in red sauce with carrots and cheese topping baked. No noodles!!! Lasagna is supposed to be multi-layered lasagna noodles with meat, cheese, and red sauce, not hamburger in pasta sauce with baked cheese topping! They don't offer linguini & clams as an entree. You have to order a pasta and clams separately and ask for a garlic clam broth. Not bad tho! The linguini with white wine and dill sauce had little to no dill flavor. Never finished it. The salad was old and limp with brown edges and smothered in too much dressing. The server (Italian name) had a poor attitude and wasn't friendly at all. No bowl provided with the bread, which was good, for the oil & balsamic dip. Have you ever had a waiter pour your almost empty glass of wine into your second glass of new wine? Hmmmmmm! First time for me. The booth seats were old, cracked and peeling with remains of food tucked in the crevices. The tables, booths were coated with old filth and the floors were dirty with spilled food and wine. We used to love DaVinci's 15+ year ago but it has definitely gone downhill! I hate to say The Olive Garden, which isn't great, is much better for 1/4 the price with way better service! Would we recommend DaVinci's or go back after years of patronage? NO!!! Never again! Great italian restaurant with amazing staff and warm italian ambiance in the heart of Eagle!

We came to daVinci's for dinner while visiting Boise. It is an older neighborhood restaurant that was once a bank. I can tell this is a neighborhood gem and appeared to be a locals restaurant. Even the patrons were very friendly and offered to take pictures. I appreciated the attentive staff and we were never left waiting for beverages or food despite our party size. First, the bread they serve is warm and crusty. It is delicious. Sometimes restaurants serve cold, hard bread and I'm always left wondering why would they serve it that way. I ordered the chicken parmigiana. The chicken was pounded thin, moist and had the perfect amount of sauce and cheese. My husband ordered the meat lasagna which was a large portion and tasty. The sauce was good but had a different flavor we couldn't distinguish. We can tell the pasta is homemade as it should be at an Italian restaurant. The wine pours are very generous. Was this the best an Italian food we've ever had? No, but it was good and we enjoyed our dinner, service and local neighborhood atmosphere. If you are looking for a casual, family neighborhood Italian restaurant, give this place a try. read more

First few times we went here the food was wonderful. Last two times... not so good. Tonight I ordered Chicken Piccata and pasta alio olio. What I got was chicken in Alfredo sauce and pasta in olive oil. They were kind enough to take it off our bill, what a disappointing dinner. This is an old place serving a tired old menu to tired old people. Sure you can load up on heavy pours every night from 4-6. You can join the dozens of seniors getting their money's worth eating oily, heavy Italian food. Many of the flavors in various dishes are overpowering. For people raised on Chef Boyardee, this is heaven. Really can't recommend going here unless you just want to drink, which is why they attract a huge crowd of barflies every day. Waitresses and bar staff are polite but frequently missing from their stations. read more

My Alfredo was decent, but my girlfriend got the pesto pasta and oh my god this dish was absolutely abhorrent, the pesto was less of a sauce and more of a sickly green oil soup. Looked like something straight out of a horror movie, service was decent but for $90 we will definitely never be returning to this place again. read more

They got the order right which isn't always the case for take-out. Food is just ok. Nothing to write home about. The highlight was the bread. I can't say enough great things about DaVinci and their staff! I live out of state and wanted to do something special for my parents' anniversary dinner. Jay went above and beyond to help me coordinate everything, and I truly couldn't have pulled it off without him. My parents called me afterward raving about the delicious meal and how warm and pleasant Jay and his team were throughout the evening. It meant so much to know they were in such good hands. This restaurant has received many wrong complaints. The six of us went on a Thursday night... One man playing in the bar area. The music in the bar area did not drown out the atmosphere in the dining area. Food and proportions, very good Customer service very good. We loved the fact that we could chat without screaming across the table. Good atmosphere and nice food selections! An Italian restaurant that placed bread on the table, served eggplant Parmesan as a selection and offered a full bar. Yes, would absolutely return.! read more

This seems to be a popular spot in Eagle. It's not really my cup of tea as I'm not in to the heavy Italian food with tons of cheese and huge portions, BUT I know some people are all about that. I had chicken piccata. It was a little heavy on the lemon, but it wasn't bad. Their bread was REALLY yummy. The wine was kinda "meh," but they gave huge pours, so there's that. I've dined here a few times, everytime I've been here the food is great! All the pasta and sauces are homemade, and you can def tell. It can get really busy on the weekend. Love this place! Their food is exceptional and consistent! Compared to a much higher cost (Fancy) Italian place around the corner your meal can be great one night and horrible the next, this doesn't happens here... The atmosphere is typical of a nice comfortable Italian restaurant. Located in the old historic bank building in down town Eagle the setting is loud, friendly and efficient, just what you want for a nice casual dinner out! All you can eat salad; fresh Tuscan bread with oil of course, can't be beat. Our server, "Hayden" Saturday night was really great, so great I had to call out the manager just to commend him. It was super packed as normal for 7pm on a Saturday and Hayden didn't miss a beat. Came to the table soon after seated, got our wine and we were off. Within just a few minuets the bread and salad showed up! On a busy night you would expect 5-10 min possibly, not last night! Dinner followed and was fantastic as normal and Hayden just had the right service level all evening. Great Job Hayden! The management here does an excellent job on the servers they hire. I've been dining at Davinci's since it opened. The food is excellent quality and very good. The price point is on point and entrees come with the yummy house salad and bread. The chicken parmigiana is the best there is. I've had chicken parmigiana in many top restaurants and in Italy where it's called chicken Milanese. Davincis in Eagle still has the best!!! read more

Very first visit so this is what I'm basing my review off of. Walked in the door and it was empty but of course this is right at 5 when the restaurant opens up. Had a reservation for a birthday dinner so that was probably a good call. -The bread was really good, nice and warm. The crab and artichoke dip could've been good besides all the onion which overpowered the whole thing. The mozzarella sticks were good, have had better though. The wait for our food was too long especially with a baby who was hungry. Good thing we had bread to hold her over. Had a family style salad (like olive gardens) and felt like we needed bowls to eat the salad from because everyone was constantly trying to stab their lettuce and it wasn't very fun lol -Okay now for the entrees. Chicken Parmesan was good, nothing crazy spectacular though. I will say though if you like spicy, the spicy Alfredo is the best choice. Also got the Leonardo (chicken Alfredo), that was good too, decent. Everything just seemed decent, nothing hit it out of the ball park for us this visit. Service was also just a little slow but she did her best and we were grateful for that. Another thing is, the atmosphere was really dark and dim lighting, so make sure to wear your glasses if you need them lol I couldn't really tell how much salt I was sprinkling onto my salad haha Anyways give it a try and see what you think. We had a great 5-star experience here. Made a reservation for the 5 of us about 30 min before we walked into a cute pub-style restaurant that was all set up for us complete with waters and lots of butter and Parmesan cheese in anticipation of a table full of Italian food! Great service, nice concise wine list with some notables like 94-pt Brunello and some delicious Castellare Chianti. Of course we ended up with a Paso Robles Merlot because they were out of our first two choices, but the merlot was lovely. We also tried a local Riesling and it was a sweeter style, but lovely and it was fun to try our first Idaho wine here. Hot crab and artichoke dip and mozzarella sticks to start (happiness for parents and happiness for kids). Family style salad and nice warm bread as a second course and then Everyone got something different - angel hair Bolognese, fettuccini Alfredo, eggplant parm, seafood lasagne, and spaghetti and meatballs. Everyone enjoyed their food! Tasty and nice portions. Mike-high mud pie and cheesecake for dessert and coffee and our night was perfect. Go - this is a cute little place! We had an early, (5 pm), reservation on a Tuesday night for a birthday dinner. We were seated promptly, unfortunately, the table in our booth was too large and we were uncomfortably tight, but because we had a brand new baby in a stroller, it was our only option. We were there for 20 minutes before our server came to take a drink order and by that time we had also decided on our meals and placed our whole order. She (Michael), was extremely personable and attentive - we enjoyed her very much and quickly forgot the delay. The restaurant filled quickly and I think every seat was taken by 6. They seemed to be understaffed - the manager(?) was hurriedly delivering meals while taking calls and it seemed Michael was the only server. She handled everything with aplomb. Our meal was delicious and reasonably priced. My daughter and her husband both had the chicken parm; which they enjoyed, and I had the spaghetti with meatballs. All portions were generous and my leftovers were enough for another meal! My daughter also had the brownie dessert which she really liked. I really like this little restaurant and have been coming here fairly regularly for the last 4 years. We didn't have a reservation but arrived early and the host was able to seat us right away. Our server was prompt and the food was good as usual. However, I ordered the special pasta sauce of the season with angel hair pasta and added on the shrimp for $4.50. I was quite disappointed when I received 4, very small shrimp. $1.12 for each little shrimp? I realize food is expensive but that is ridiculous. read more

Have been to daVinci's 3 times, never have had good service. The food is just ok. The portions are weak compared to most italian restaurants. The kids menu food quality is terrible (and my expectations for the kids menu is low). Last time the beer was terrible out of the tap. Would not recommend. read more

We called at 4:30 pm for a last minute reservation for 2 at 5:00 pm. We arrived early and were promptly seated when the dining room opened. Our server Annabelle was very good and attentive. The salad with the oil and vinegar dressing was very good and the bread was very tasty as well. I ordered the scampi and angel hair pasta with Alfredo sauce. Delicious. The pasta is made in house and the sauce was the best Alfredo sauce I have had. I thought I had 5 nice sized shrimp, but after I started eating one, and another, and another until I realized I had 8 shrimp hidden in the garlic butter sauce. My husband ordered the Sicilian pasta dish and he loved his as well. We've always had consistent good service and food there. read more
