The current chef has had it operational for five years. Tons of great parking, even up to the front door. It's tiny when you initially walk in with about eight tables, but they recently expanded next-door so it should open up. The ambience is relaxing with background music from Sinatra and other swooners. You really wanna settle in for some good long conversation here. Everything was immaculate. You could tell that they really take care to ensure cleanliness is first and foremost. The menu is easy to read and very reasonably priced. I asked for the daily special and the server, who had a great attitude and warm personality, shared they had a turkey and bacon club with basil pesto, tomato and other goodies on an in-house made focaccia. All of it is lightly toasted and warm when it arrives. I ordered it with a side of fries, but it also comes with a salad or soup. This amazing sandwich did not disappoint in any way. The ratio of meat to accompaniments to spread and bread were perfect. The bread was not too thick. The basil pesto was not excessive. The meat was perfectly toasted. The size of the sandwich is enough to fill any appetite from small to large. It was in fact the best sandwich I've had in years. Recall from my bio that I was a chef and I had a deli where I made sandwiches that were award-winning. I have to admit, I had nothing on my menu that could even come close to this delicious sandwich. It seems pretty simple to be able to put some meat and spread on a nice bread and heat it, but this went beyond simple. The flavor profile hit on all cylinders. I ordered the fries and they too were perfect. Hot and crispy with just enough garlic, and Parmesan to taste it, but not overwhelm it. I cannot say enough about this meal. Between the service, the delicious food, and the ambience, this is now my go to place for lunch. I urge you to take some time to get to the Stuffed Olive in Eagle Idaho and experience what this chef is doing for this community and it's starving foodies.

With a couple glasses of wine ($2 off from 11am to 3 pm) our lunch could have easily qualified as a…read moreperfect "Happy Hour" menu of sliced meats, spreadable and sliced cheeses, grapes and olives, crackers and a homemade pesto sausage wood fired pizza. Should have added the home made focaccia with olio santo for $2 to the meat and cheese platter, used end pieces of pizza crust to spread the final soft Boursin cheese. There are several artisan pizza choices. The pesto sausage had lots of mozzarella, making it go down easy and milder in spice than I expected. Just right. In retrospect, it was a little too much food, we should have had the short list of Lunch Menu specials including four sandwiches for. The Grilled Chicken Caprese, the Meatball, the Chicken Parmesan and the Salumi Sandwiches all come with a choice of sides. Another possibility is the choice of salads with a cup of soup for $10 and you can add a protein including chicken grilled steak, grilled shrimp, meatballs, Italian sausage, or scallops for about $4 each depending on the selection. On the outside, it looks like a smaller restaurant than it is, they have really done a marvelous job of creating an inviting space with an open kitchen and bar on opposite side with dining in between, larger parties in another room, lots of inviting windows and outside dining in nice weather. Tall ceilings and some hard surfaces could overwhelm conversation on a busy night, so bear that in mind. Big wooden table surfaces, cloth napkins and hefty silverware. Water refills came from a bottle on the table which our server made a point of pouring as needed. Service was excellent, for example a refill of iced tea was replaced with a new glass (hate it when a server takes your drink away to refill out of site and possibly get mixed up.) On a weekday we arrived at 11:30 and got right in, however by 12:15 the inside tables were mostly full. Reservations available on-line. I had avoided going there earlier as it always seemed very busy and the parking lot was shared with other businesses. Won't stay away much longer, the dishes coming out of the kitchen looked very appetizing.

Our server got our orders started. The last time we were here, my husband got the seafood pasta and it was spicy. The shrimp pasta listed heat but not the seafood. After our server clarifying the difference few the two marinara sauces, they truly screwed up on my husband's plate the last time we were here. So today, my husband ordered the chicken parm with Alfredo sauce in his pasta. Making sure it was the right marinara. I got the meatballs again and my daughter ordered the filet mignon pasta. While we were waiting for our food, the busser, assistant, expo (whomever she was) cleared out our small plates. We didn't order any appetizers but the server said bread was coming. May I ask why you would clear out the small plates when bread is coming? We literally had bread crumbs all over the table cause there was nothing catching them. Texas Roadhouse, Longhorn Steakhouse, Luciano's, Olive Garden, Red Lobster, Corso, Bittercreek, Stardust all have little plates out for their guests..... it's humorous you pull them. My meatballs were the same as last time, good. My husband's noodles were overly drenched with sauce. My daughter barely got any pasta in her 30 dollar plate. You can't label a pasta dish a pasta dish if there's no pasta in it. Especially if it's damn near 30 dollars. My youngest got the kids chicken Alfredo for her meal. Again, all chicken and no pasta. Kids would rather have the pasta vs the chicken. 15 bucks for a kid's meal with no pasta. I'm rather embarrassed that I even suggested this place. Thank goodness my family is more easy going than I am but we did share the same disappointments. Serve pasta in your pasta dishes. Your bigger bowls to deceive your customers that they are getting a lot is a lie. If you're going to charge 30 bucks for pasta, make sure your customers get their value. Leave your small plates for your guests. We don't want bread crumbs all over our laps and table. Make sure your chefs know the difference between your two marinara sauces. God forbid another guest has to suffer for your screw up.

Located on Orchard St near the intersection with Franklin, the building itself it just average to look at. They do have a cool mural on the south side wall depicting various gangsters: Dillinger, Lanskey, Nelson, Capone, and Seigel. As you enter, on the left there is a small bar with seating near the check in desk. There is also a separate waiting room to the right of the entrance. There are a lot of tables packed fairly close together in the dining room. Our server was Arturo. He was friendly, attentive, and very knowledgable about the food, giving recommendations as to his favorite dishes and explaining in detail how the special of the night was prepared. Really, he was exceptional, especially taking care of a large group. To start, there is what I think was a rosemary bread, along with balsamic vinegar and oil to dip, which was very good. The mushrooms and the fried calimari appetizers weree great. And, all of the entrees were deemed "10/10" when we did our informal polling at the end of our visit. My wife had the scampi and I had the margherita pizza. Other entrees included lasagna, angel hair pasta with meatballs, chicken scallopini, and the "Gabriel". All of the food was delicious. For dessert, I had the tiramisu, and it was such a good way to end the evening. Zoe was my bartender, and she made the experience even better. While the name remains the same, everything else seems an "ahhh..." some improvement from making the interior more welcoming, the service more gracious and the food more delicious. With the changes initiated in early 2025, it is still early days in their ownership and I'm sure there will be more to come as the eatery evolves. SPACE & SEATING: The original owner had such bright lighting inside that it felt as if one could land a plane there but now it is soft lighting that along with greeting offered by Colton makes guests feel very welcome stepping in the door. Italian themed music at just the right level to know it is there but not to compete with conversation. Table seating that was "sardine can tight" under the previous owner, so tight that it made it a squeeze for servers trying to get to the tables and even blocked the path to the loo, has been rearranged to offer space to get around. MENU & $: The new menu remains pasta centric; retains many of the former favorites and has been expanded to add new dishes. Pasta price points are roughly $23 and up for expertly prepared dishes in generous portions and served hot to the table. There are also antipasti (cold and hot) that start at about $13 (example; for salads) to $23 (example for fried calamari and shrimp). Arancini are on the antipasti menu here and they are hard to find in this area. The new chef has also added "of the day" specials for fish and risotto. Because the pizza oven has put back in order, they are also offering a handful of pizza options. One could order a meal as simple as a pizza and salad or do what we did when celebrating our anniversary recently, and share the beet salad with orange and goat cheese ($17) to start then order both the Risotto del Giorno (on this evening it was sausage, broccoli rabe, corn $32) and Pescato (fish) del Giorno (on this evening it was full of lobster meat and tail-on shrimp over pasta in a perfect light white sauce $39). Of the day, del Giorno, options are AQ so the server will provide the price when describing the dish. Both of our dishes were delicious with in generous portions; some of the risotto came home with us to be enjoyed the next day. (See my photos.) My husband is Italian on both sides and grew up in an Italian neighborhood in Brooklyn and he thought the dishes perfect. IF I WERE QUEEN: I would bid wave my scepter and have them I would reduce the number of pasta dishes (some carried over from the old menu) and add in a few other non-pasta Italian options. (A la A Cena or Nostrana in Portland. This chef has the skill to do it.) SERVICE: The chef's daughter has been the main server but an accident a couple of months ago means she is needing time to recover and the friendly young woman serving on the night of our visit, with back up from Colton, did a lovely job. We felt well tended but not hovered over and she seemed to be offering the same gracious care to the tables all around us. It seemed she may have been a little new to the menu ingredients but that will come with time and this was big tip worthy customer care. LIBATIONS: A thoughtfully crafted wine list, beer and soft beverages across price points and our two by glass wine options totaled only $21. RESERVATIONS & AN "ALL ARE WELOME HERE" GREETING FOR WALK INS: Reservations via Open Table or by calling the restaurant and it is best to make one, although on busy Thursday when we dined in, there were a couple of walk ins, both a single and a family of four, who were able to be seated. And it is worth noting that the single young man diner and the family of four with teens in tow were treated with the same welcome and attention as the reserved dining guests. That doesn't always happen in restaurants and it didn't happen here under the original owner with the wife working front of house. ACCESSIBILITY: The inside set up has some tables that would be accessible to diners using wheelchairs and that is a layout improvement made by the current owners. The ongoing problem is the parking lot here has always been non-compliant for ADA with not a single spot of accessible parking near the restaurant. The lot owner finally marked a space with the ADA logo but the infuriating (that is the right response) thing is that they did not add a curb ramp so unless a wheelchair user can step up over a roughly 6" curb this is worthless. It also violates 36 year old Federal law and Idaho State building code.

We made sure to eat and got out by 6:15. Really disappointed by the uncomfortable experience.
