    Complimentary bread

Great little Italian restaurant with a few surprises! Food: 4.5/5. For an appetizer, we had the special which was friend Mac and cheese balls. I felt they were a little bland and could have used more of the sauce that was underneath. I got the baked tuscan penne, which was pretty good. I wish there were a few more tomatoes and artichoke hearts, but overall it satisfied by pasta craving. My husband had the Wagyu beef olive burger. The burger was amazing! The fries were some of the best fries I've ever had. I am still thinking about those fries. The complementary bread is delicious as well! Service: 5/5. The service was great. We got seated quickly and were constantly taken care of. Our food came out in a reasonable amount of time as well. The waitress was friendly as well. Atmosphere: 4/5. The restaurant is fairly small so we ended up sitting outside. The outside patio is an interesting place to dine and can be a bit noisy being right on State Street. Kid Friendly: 4/5. Being such a small restaurant, I would not necessarily recommend this restaurant for kids. We did see some kids inside that had highchairs. There is a kids menu of pasta, pizza, and chicken nuggets. Overall, it's a cute, intimate restaurant with good food. Can't wait to try it another time!

I found this place while on my way to another lunch spot. Had never heard of it, but apparently it's been here for 20 years tucked away in this little shopping center area. The current chef has had it operational for five years. Tons of great parking, even up to the front door. It's tiny when you initially walk in with about eight tables, but they recently expanded next-door so it should open up. The ambience is relaxing with background music from Sinatra and other swooners. You really wanna settle in for some good long conversation here. Everything was immaculate. You could tell that they really take care to ensure cleanliness is first and foremost. The menu is easy to read and very reasonably priced. I asked for the daily special and the server, who had a great attitude and warm personality, shared they had a turkey and bacon club with basil pesto, tomato and other goodies on an in-house made focaccia. All of it is lightly toasted and warm when it arrives. I ordered it with a side of fries, but it also comes with a salad or soup. This amazing sandwich did not disappoint in any way. The ratio of meat to accompaniments to spread and bread were perfect. The bread was not too thick. The basil pesto was not excessive. The meat was perfectly toasted. The size of the sandwich is enough to fill any appetite from small to large. It was in fact the best sandwich I've had in years. Recall from my bio that I was a chef and I had a deli where I made sandwiches that were award-winning. I have to admit, I had nothing on my menu that could even come close to this delicious sandwich. It seems pretty simple to be able to put some meat and spread on a nice bread and heat it, but this went beyond simple. The flavor profile hit on all cylinders. I ordered the fries and they too were perfect. Hot and crispy with just enough garlic, and Parmesan to taste it, but not overwhelm it. I cannot say enough about this meal. Between the service, the delicious food, and the ambience, this is now my go to place for lunch. I urge you to take some time to get to the Stuffed Olive in Eagle Idaho and experience what this chef is doing for this community and it's starving foodies.

We just found Idaho's best kept dining secret: The Stuffed Olive! Their menu has a broad range of specialty items ranging from pastas, meat and veggie lasagna, salmon, chicken, salads, sandwiches and much more. Their "Chef Specials" consist of tasty homemade appetizers; flatbread, crostini. For example an entree of brown butter and burrata gnocchi paired with a wonderful dessert of mini peaches and cream trifle. The food is amazing, hats off to the chef Liz Martin. The service was also amazing. Our server Lexi was friendly, professional and very attentive. My wife and I throughly enjoyed the ambiance. The entire experience was nothing short of amazing. We will definitely be back.

Service was decent, the restaurant is cute and cozy. I love that they give you bread upon sitting down and offer to get you more when you run out. I did not like my food however, it was very bland and did not have much flavor, I also ordered tiramisu and it appeared to just be lady fingers with whipped cream on top. Not good at all and very crunchy. Glad I tried this place but I will most likely not be back a second time.

If you're looking for a good sandwich with soup combo and are in the Eagle area, I highly recommend The Stuffed Olive's Turkey, Bacon & Avocado with a cup of their signature Creamy Fire Roasted Tomato Soup ($16). It's my go to take out lunch order from this restaurant. Turkey Bacon Avocado Hand-sliced smoked turkey breast topped with crispy bacon, avocado, spinach, tomato, melted cheese, and housemade dijonnaise on a toasted baguette. $14 Creamy Fire Roasted Tomato Soup Our signature soup made in-house daily featuring roasted tomatoes, olive oil, basil, and cream. (*gf without croutons) $6 / $10 I like that even when you get a take-out order, they still give you the fresh-baked bread and olive oil that would have been served if you had dined in.

I loved the stuffed olive! A great casual spot if you're in the mood for some Italian. I built my own pasta which was absolutely delicious! Don't know where else you can do that. Service was great, a very cute restaurant.

A reservation was made and we made our way in Saturday to celebrate. My husband and I were late arriving cause of work. But my family and friends got drinks and apps started. I wasn't expecting them to wait but I'm happy that they did! The drinks and apps kept them at bay till we arrived. The venue is stunning! I love the decor here. I have always been intrigued with European vintage decor and this restaurant is beautifully devoted decorated with this kind of esthetic. Such a romantic setting. The rich deep red wall. The ornate vintage frames. The plants. It's truly a beautiful set up. After my husband and I got settled in and drinks ordered, we got dinner placed. I got 2 orders of meatballs and my husband got the seafood pasta. While food was being worked on, everyone shared the bread and balsamic olive oil dip that was on the table. I heard the bread was good. I didn't get a chance to try it since it was communal. Our meals were slowly trickling out. My meatballs looked amazing! My husband's plate looked fabulous. You can see the shrimp, mussels, clams.... We all became quiet and started on our meals. My meatballs were huge! I have had meatballs at other restaurants and have been hungry still. The size of these babies let me know I was not going to have that issue. It was nicely covered in marinara. A hearty covering of parmesan. Everything about the meatballs were great! I have severe fomo so of course I had to try my husband's plate. I tried a couple of his penne. I was really thrown back at the heat of the sauce. I tried another bite and it was still spicy. The spice was something neither one of us were expecting. Before I say anything to our server, I did look over the menu to see if we missed anything in the description of the dish. No chili was listed. Nothing about it being garnished with chili flakes. From reading the menu, no spice was described in the dish. My husband has a real sensitive pallet so I asked the manager/owner why spice wasn't indicted in the menu. We wouldn't have ordered it if there was. The manager said they can remove the sauce and add new sauce that didn't have chili flakes in it. "It would make it less spicy." I was actually surprised he didn't suggest a new dish that didn't have heat in it. We were complaining about the heat and I honestly don't think replacing sauce that has spice in it with new sauce with spice will do anything.... but hey, we went with it. The second dish was made and dropped off. Unfortunately, the sauce was still spicy and my husband could barely eat it. He ate the seafood which was a few pieces of shrimp, clams, bay scallops, mussels and fish. This dish was drowned in this sauce so there was no way to eat the seafood with the sauce. This dish is 34 bucks and my husband could barely finish the seafood. Our server was kind and got me birthday dessert. The chocolate cake was killer good! It wasn't overly sweet. The frosting was rich in chocolate and the cake was super moist. I only took a couple bites and took the rest home. I was not going to leave this bad boy behind. We spent a little over 70 dollars on dinner to have my husband leave hungry. I came home and made him a second dinner. Nothing more disappointing than spending that much money just to come home and eat again. Money is tight for everyone so the fact that we chose to come here and spend our heard earned money to have my husband hungry just makes my heart sad. Overall, my meatballs and cake were good. Service was great. The venue is very pretty. But, having my husband eat a meal that was poorly described in the menu is just disappointing and having him leave husband is upsetting. I'm happy I got to try it out but I don't think we will be hitting up this joint again any time soon.

This is more true if you live in Nampa, and this situation applied to my wife and I prior to yesterday. Don't be put off by it's location. Yes, this spot does not seem like a place where you would find a great eating establishment, but based upon our experience, that should be at the bottom of the list of concerns. The vibe of the place represents it's truth. Italianesque feels like a family run restaurant, run by people who enjoy what they do. That's because that is exactly what it is. There is no corporate mood or tone here, but rather it feels like friends wanting to run a neighborhood restaurant with all the good things that go with providing that kind of service to the local community. I'd recommend getting a reservation if you want to dine inside, but we failed to do that last night and the tables were full at 5:00pm on a Thursday. That's a pretty good signal that Italianesque has something good going on. Our experience was five-stars across the board. We ate on the patio which was pleasant in the shade, and the soft breeze felt nice in the informal al fresco environment. The service was excellent. Paula was a delight, and the other servers were all super friendly and helpful too. We enjoyed our specialty cocktails as our food was being prepared, and we enjoyed the appetizer special. The single word I would describe our dinner entrées would be "Wow". I had the spicy Cajun Seafood Linguini, and it was truly delicious. So full of flavor! We ended our meal with a slice of Key Lime Pie which did not disappoint. My opinion is that Italian food should be zesty and bold, cooked with passion and served with a smile. Italianesque delivered. If you enjoy bland Italian cooking, or just an average meal, there are plenty of other places you can go to. We'll be back to Italianesque, because there were many other things on the menu that I really want to try.

Since there are enough of us who had all around miserable experiences with the previous owners and said "never again", this comment is for others know that now is the time to come back. The ownership transition seems to have happened sometime after November of last year. If you check the website you'll see the "about" part of it is still about Vincenzo. I recommend the new owners change that to indicate this young couple is now at the helm. The menu, largely pasta, is about the same and with price points running from roughly $23 to $27 for them. Antipasti (cold and hot) start at about $13 for a salad to $23 for fried calamari and shrimp. The owner mentions that they plan to put the pizza oven in the space (see my long ago taken photo) to work as a pizza oven. (To now in the old ownership days it was used to finish bread.) First time in Boise, Idaho, visiting for the Boise Half Marathon. I ended up dining at Alavita…read moretwice -- once to carbo-load the night before my race, and again the day after as a recovery dinner. Alavita is an upscale Italian restaurant, and I'd recommend making reservations, especially for dinner. My first visit was with a reservation for one, while my second was a walk-in where I managed to snag patio seating. On my first visit, I started with the House-Baked Focaccia, which came with truffle-honey butter. The focaccia was light, fresh, and served pre-sliced. The honey and butter combination was absolutely divine and paired wonderfully with the bread. It honestly made me wonder why more Italian restaurants don't serve something similar. For my entrée, I ordered the daily special, which I believe was a cheese tortellini with shrimp and corn in a lemon garlic sauce. It was flavorful, deceptively filling, and paired well with the focaccia. While it wasn't the best pasta I've ever had, it was a satisfying and enjoyable pre-race meal. On my second visit, I started with the fennel and arugula salad, which featured fennel-apple slaw, pistachios, rehydrated cherries, lemon, olive oil, and shaved Parmesan. I particularly enjoyed the cherries and pistachios, which added nice sweetness and crunch. Not mind-blowing, but certainly good. For my entrée, I had to try the Rigatoni: braised local beef, black garlic-truffle butter, roasted local mushrooms, spinach, pickled red onion, lemon crema, and Grana Padano. I ordered it because so many reviews mentioned it. I don't eat beef very often, so this was a bit of a treat for me. The braised beef was tender and flavorful. Interestingly, my opinion of the dish changed as I ate it. Initially, I had it around a 3.5/5, but by the end it had climbed to a 4.5/5. This might sound strange, but I found that when I slowed down, closed my eyes for a bite or two, and really focused on the flavors, the dish came together much better. The richness of the braised beef, the garlic-truffle butter, and the mushrooms became much more noticeable, and I found myself appreciating the combination more and more with each bite. For me, it was one of those dishes that rewards slowing down and savoring it. Overall, I highly recommend Alavita for Italian food in Boise. The service was friendly, the food was thoughtfully prepared, and both meals left me satisfied. The lemon garlic shrimp tortellini special made for excellent pre-race fuel, and the rigatoni was a memorable post-race meal. I went on to finish 10th overall in the Boise Half Marathon despite rainy conditions and the challenges of running at a higher elevation than I'm used to, so I was certainly grateful for the quality food beforehand. Hope to be back the next time I'm in the Boise area. Visited June 2026.
