Thought we'd try a new place and Italian sounded good The salad was on the dry side and we asked for extra salad dressing and he said it was .75 more. Never have I been charged for extra dressing , but okay. The veggie lasagna was more like soup. The marinara used was really tasty but the whole thing was soupy. Just not a good vibe over all. This was about my 10th or 15th time going to this restaurant. In the past, the food has been amazing and I've been happy. The last two times i've had to wait over an hour to get my food and the restaurant only had like three or four tables. The female server was very rude the food was bad and I won't be going back anytime soon. This used to be my favorite restaurant and I am so disappointed to what is happening to it. read more

What happened to Stuff Olive....I will NEVER go back. It took almost an hour to get my awful food. The chicken and fries were so overdone I thought the chicken was the croutons, and my salad had rancid walnuts. The female server was too busy talking too another table instead of doing her job. Only 3 tables to serve and this is the service I get. When I asked if I could get some bread she got annoyed. It was uncomfortable I didn't want to send my food back. My guess is they all have become too comfortable. A cook knows when they are sending out bad food....a server knows when they giving bad service. read more

Customer service was horrible not friendly at all. we had a party of 5 and it felt like we were singled out & neglected other people who came in after us got their food before us & our server barely waited on us we had to ask him for things & forgot to bring us items we ordered. we will not be coming back. read more

I came tonight for the third time- each time it has gotten better! I've now been here with just one person, 3 of us, & tonight it was a group of us- 7 total. It was a full table & restaurant- yet our kind waiter watched every detail... not once did any of us need to ask for more water or bread or the other little niceties that separate adequate service from fantastic. This is a definite recommend. Good variety on menu, good ingredients, & plenty of parking. I really recommend their salads if you are gluten free like me... they can be hearty (I just ask for no croutons.) If celiac probably not a good place as small kitchen... but like I said... such attentive service... a definite recommend! read more

Been wanting to try this little gem out for sometime now. Hubby and I finally went last Saturday evening and had a GREAT meal. First they brought us fresh French bread and a mixture of balsamic and olive oil and the bread was extremely fresh and yummy. We ordered the calamari as the appetizer along with a glass if vino as our main course was being cooked. I loved that you can pick the type of pasta you want and then the sauce you would like. Did I mention they have a side list of all the additional things you can add (for a small price of course). So, what did we order? Me the eggplant parmigiana and believe me I could only eat one! They were breaded nicely and cooked just right with a nice crunch! There were 3 huge pieces.... Note 2 went home with me. My husband picked the spaghetti with the meat sauce. He was able to eat all of his! Said it was good. We did get some of the little desserts to try and those were yummy as well. We even ordered a doggie ice cream for our boxer at home and he loved it. The atmosphere was good and the food is fresh. There is an option to eat outside which we would have loved to do but the storm was coming in so we ate inside. I would caution you to call in advance for reservations as there are not a lot of tables and if you have a large party you should call. This is the second year we have held our Christmas get together at the Stuffed Olive. Last year was great and this year was just as good. I had the walnut crusted salmon and it was cooked to perfection and tasted wonderful. The mushroom walnut risotto and the asparagus were also delicious. This is a great little restaurant and one of my favorite places to eat good Italian food. We definately will be coming back! read more

Our neighbors told us about this restaurant. I had never even heard of it even though we have driven through this parking lot numerous times. We went there on Saturday night and the food was outstanding. The lasagna was great, the bread was fresh, the service was incredible. We will definitely be back. Very disappointing. Ordered Angel hair pasta with meat sauce. It came to me very watery. Like they didn't drain the pasta before putting it in the serving dish. It made the sauce taste watery as well. Returned it and asked for fettuccine pasta thinking that it would be easier to drain. Same issue occurred. Ordered dessert and it tasted granny! It was gelato! My husband tasted it as well, we both agreed that something was wrong. I would never go back here and would not recommend this place. read more

The food at the Stuffed Olive is consistently excellent and the service is top notch. We come here regularly and everything we've had has been incredible (especially the eggplant Parmesan and the Parmesan fries). We forgot to take pictures because we were too excited to eat. They never disappoint. The servers, who have been there for years, are always friendly and knowledgeable. They truly make you feel like a valued guest. We ate here for the first and last time this week. The people were very nice and the restaurant is small but clean. They were playing Italian opera over the speakers, which was fine, but it was punctuated by a very loud ice machine compressor behind the counter, which was distracting. We had the mushroom appetizer which turned out to be the best thing we would eat that night. Almost all of the entrees were basically ok, but were all very bland, nothing stood out. I had eggplant parmesan and my wife had chicken parmesan. I had marinara and she had alfredo. Of the two the alfredo was the better, but still not outstanding. My angel hair had large clumps where the pasta hadn't been separated properly while boiling, and those clumps were not cooked through. My son had a steak and here's where we ran into problems. He's not a very broad eater, and so when the steak had a weird taste he just assumed it was supposed to taste like that. Towards the end of the meal we were commenting on the meal and he mentioned that it had a strange after taste. My wife tried it and then she had me try it. It had clearly gone off. Unfortunately, my son ate the last bite as I was having my taste. We judged that it wasn't strong enough to have had a dangerous amount of any toxins and none of us got sick, but it was a sad cap to an essentially boring meal. We won't be back. read more

Nice surprise! And very close by. Ordered the prime rib dip sandwich, garlic parmesan fries, Caesar salad, Caprese salad. Can't find a negative thing here. The prime rib sandwich was stuffed with meat and cheese. The au jus was flavorful. The salads were fresh and dressings wonderful. Definitely will be heading back soon, very soon. So much delicious food at the Stuffed Olive. Probably the best sandwich I have ever eaten. My lunch companions had the pasta, which they raved over. Loved all the appetizers (it was Happy Hour) and the house wines were delicious. The chief/Owner came over and we had a delightful conversation. The prices are reasonable and the service excellent. A few of the cons were the outside area is practically by the curb. Some foliage or trees would be nice as a barrier. Some of the desserts could use a little tweak but were very tasty overall. We were traveling and spending the night in the area - and I searched for a dog friendly restaurant and found the Stuffed Olive was recommended - I'm a sucker for woman owned/family run businesses and Italian food, so we decided to give it a shot. I'm really happy we did, I had a wonderful dinner with my husband and pup. Started off right with our server recommending an awesome bottle of wine. Then the food was delicious - we tried the Charcuterie Board which was a lovely presentation and a great variety. One of my favorites I've had. For dinner, I had the Caesar Salad with grilled chicken - the homemade dressing was awesome and I was impressed with how fresh the lettuce was. My husband had the prime rib dip and said it was good. I loved the service and the food - you can tell the whole team really cares about what they deliver and they do it wonderfully. If you've got a dog, this is the spot to have them join you for dinner - our server swooned over our dog and they have an ice cream just for doggies (which our pup loved and highly recommends to all!) read more

The place is small and unassuming. It was empty when we got there, Monday afternoon at about 6:30 PM., but it filled up fast. I believe that people that are familiar with the place make reservations routinely. There were a bunch of reserved signs on tables before we arrived. The appetizers were fun, try the "olive flight" and they were delicious. Everyone in our group was happy with their food. I had the eggplant parmigiana and not to ruin the presentation, it was I, believe, the best I've had, and I'm a longtime egghead! The angel hair pasta was perfection. The marinara definitely on point. The service was attentive. As it got more crowded, more servers magically appeared. This was one of the best dining experiences I've had in a while. We had a two year old with us and the staff payed attention to and interacted with him as if he were theirs. Treat yourself! Give it a shot they have a nice selection of beers and wines too. read more

I really wanted to like this place. The menu is amazing with so many delicious and enticing options. We came here for a girls night. The bread at the beginning was only okay. The garlic fries were quite delicious. But everything else we ordered had almost no flavor. I split a lemon ricotta dish with a friend, and another friend got the alfredo. Tried adding salt and pepper- still not enough flavor to be worth eating. Super disappointed. read more

We got stuck in traffic and late for our reservation, when I called to notify them, they were very understanding, and told us they'd hold our table and not to worry. That in itself is amazing, seeing that the place just down the road only gives you a 90 min time slot! We had the mushrooms and fries for appetizer- both great. Wine- great! To start, I had the calamari. If you have gotten calamari anywhere here in the treasure valley... it's usually an appetizer done poorly. But I would come back to this place just for the calamari. It was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside without it being fishy. To say the least, I was pleasantly surprised. For the main, I splurged and got the baked cheesy penne in meat sauce and added meatballs and a side walnut crusted salmon. The penne came out Al dente as any pasta should. Firm to the bite. The sauce was spot on. I'm not the best at recognizing handmade sauces.... But this seemed like it was. Crushed tomatoes, zingy tomato paste, garlic, and whatever else they put in it... yummm. The meatballs were a perfect side for this dish. The meatballs are said to be handmade. Sometimes the consistency and balance can be off because of that fact, but this meatball had the right amount of chew so you know it wasn't overdone where it just crumbles or is hard as a rock. The flavor was right on and not too salty. The salmon. Very tasty. Walnut crust is not overwhelming that's held together with a mildly sweet sauce. I know I've had the flavor before... but I couldn't quite put my finger on it. Meh. All that to say it worked well with the salmon and walnuts. The only thing was it came out just a smidge on the dry side. And when I say smidge, it's just me being a bit snooty about my fish. Lol probably like 30 seconds too long in the oven. But all in all, was an excellent dish and would have it again. Would most definitely recommend this place for future meals to anyone. read more

Hopefully last night was an exception. The ambiance is plain but I returned for the good food. We were seated and paper menus brought to our table. I remember nice standard menus. The crumpled paper must be a leftover from Covid. We had to ask for a Children's menu. My house salad was limp and warm. Our entrees were very good but our server, Jaden C, did not offer fresh ground pepper or freshly ground Parmesan. Subsequently other servers offered such to other tables. The paper dessert menu was quite expansive and we did enjoy several items. I feel the price of entrees is quite reasonable. But I am not sure I will return. read more

This is one of my wife and my go-to restaurants where one can always get something delicious to eat! We've been doing take-out which is still great, though we miss the intimate experiences we've had inside. Highly recommend the walnut crusted salmon- to die for. Went for our daughter's 12th birthday everything was so delicious! The raspberry sorbet was to die for! Pasta was phenomenal even next day!

Packed on a Friday night. Good thing we had reservations. The bread was ho hum. So was the wine selection. I loved the eggplant carciofini. Nice garlic cream sauce. A little small though. The marinara sauce was delicious. And I agree the cheesecake is really good. The tiramisu has too much liqueur on it. This is a nice little place. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat there though. read more
