This place makes me curious! I am told it's local but it is a very, very close copy to Crave Kitchen and Bar that they have in Minneapolis, MN... I moved here a few years ago and have stopped in here a few times now, it's a little out of my way. At first I thought it was a franchise, I'm told it's not. The menu is so close, the layout, the drinks...weird. Now I came in to watch some football Sunday and grabbed an App. I did the Tuna Nachos...Now I will say, I have had this dish in MN many times and loved it. This, was not that! First off both my comments I was told by the bartender that I am wrong about, but I am not convinced! The Guaq tasted like it was from a package...blended super creamy, not at all like Guacamole that has been made fresh in-house....but I guess maybe? Also, the chips with something like this are almost always a thicker tortilla that's been fried fresh, where these were super thin chips that tasted like they came from a bag...just not good! I have never had a chip that thin that was a tortilla fried....you just can't roll them that thin... In a dish like this with tuna and other things a thin chip just breaks apart and can't hold up...which is why most places fry a regular tortilla for a dish like this! Overall, again this is a serious knock-off from the MN company! I had made a reservation for my MIL's 80th birthday party. We arrived Sunday and got sat at a long dining table that had plenty of seating for the 11 of us. I had requested this table so everything was smooth from calling in to getting in. My daughter and I arrived a little early to set up the table. We had flowers, party favors and decor we needed to set up. Our server helped us put the birthday cake in the fridge so it would stay cool. We got everything set up and just chilled till everyone showed up. I did forget the birthday candles I bought so I drove home to grab them. I missed the whole ordering process. I had my daughter order the pineapple hanger steak with no potatoes subbed for veggies for me. I left before they ordered and was only gone for about 25 minutes. My food had already been sitting for 10 minutes waiting for me before I got back. I was honestly surprised at how fast everything was prepared. I did enjoy my meal. It was really good. The hanger steak was tender and very savory. The shishito peppers were cooked and grilled perfectly. I got a total of 6 and only 1 of them was spicy, I'm ok with that! The asparagus was grilled to perfection. Not overly cooked but tender with a slight bite. The best way to have asparagus. I think this would have been a 5 star experience but this is where I'm so unhappy. I brought a cake in. I also brought in candles, a vintage cake plate and plates for us to eat the cake on. It was all planned out. Our server did not communicate with me at all about the cake once she pulled it out for me. One minute it was sitting in it's box on the servers table and the next minute there's a huge, tacky firework in it. Like, I had a pretty cake made with delicate candles to put in it to have this goofy firework in the middle of it. I didn't take one photo of the cake before she violated it with the stupid firework. If you plan on bringing in a cake that you don't want touch, tell your server. Food was great. The vibe was chill. He is truly a master at his craft, his menu knowledge was impressive, our table was unobtrusively manicured constantly and to top it all off he made us feel so welcome with no added pressure. Was super hungry one day while driving around the area and found this place on the old Yelp Machine. The thing that jumped out at me was the photo of the burger, now call me crazy but I think at this point I can look at a menu, photos of food and then the reviews to guide me. Yelp hasn't failed me yet! The first thing was walking in the door there were two hostess who smiled and greeted me. We were seated at the bar since there were just two of us. I ordered the Crave burger with bacon and my guest ordered the house salad with tortilla soup. Everything was excellent! The burger was juicy, flavorful, the bacon was perfectly crispy, Smokey and the white cheddar cheese was the perfect compliment! Now let's talk about the bun, I typically don't eat burger buns but this one was the exception to the rule. It was homemade obviously, buttery, light, and toasted to perfection. I ate both of them! Hahahaha! I felt so dirty typing that the French fries were crispy, just the right amount of salty and fluffy on the inside, crispy on the outside. My guest agrees with everything in this review. The house salad was fresh, the vinaigrette was homemade and delicious and the tortilla soup was even great! The ambience was a place you could have a business meeting or take your significant other on a date night. There is literally something for everyone on their crave-able menu ( see what I did there?) One of my favorite restaurants! Our waiter made great suggestions, was fine with substitutions, and our water was always full! The food as always was delicious. My favorite is always the rosemary focaccia with ricotta truffle honey ricotta. We also shared a wedge salad between the 4 of us! For entrees we got the halibut, short ribs, Crab and Shrimp Udon Carbonara, and double stack crave burger. They have such a great selection, and we're never disappointed. We came to establishment several times and it was a great experience and we looked at making it an every Friday event but recently we've had some negative encounters. About a month and a half ago my wife, my daughter and I were sitting there enjoying our dinner and a person seated right next to us became so belligerent using profane language which our daughter isn't exposed to. I kindly asked him to stop and in his drunken stupor escalated to the point where my family was escorted out of the restaurant to avoid conflict. It was obvious that there was over serving of alcohol issue at the bar. Today we came into have dinner, one person at the entry told us us it would be a 20 minute wait, then Mason rudely told us it was gonna be two or three hours. We sat there because we didn't get true direction whether there was 20 minute wait or three hours. I finally came up to Mason and he told me it was going to be two to three hours. I feel like the management should consider placing tenured greeters and not teen-age children, with no tact and respect which are so easily overwhelmed at the entrance. It is truly unfortunate that my family has been treated in such a manor that we will not be returning. Good luck with your imploding business. read more

Great restaurant in Eagle but the (glass) wine list is seriously disappointing. It's hard to believe such a nice restaurant would only carry cheap grocery store wines with so many amazing local wineries... but alas- at least the cocktails are well made. If you're reading this review and have not dined at this establishment yet. Trust me when I say, make a reservation asap because this will be your new favorite restaurant in Idaho. From the moment my party of 6 sat down, service from Ray was impeccable. This place has a great bar area, with a couple of tv's as well as a section of tables with glass walls to watch the sunset. Now for the food...we basically ordered almost half the menu and almost everything was amazing. Being a fisherman, I know it sounds crazy but the sushi dishes were top notch. The appetizers were mind blowing. The entree's definitely were palate pleasing and the bartenders made some exceptional drinks. The desserts were bomb! They had me at hello... but really had me at the short rib dumplings and espresso martini My husband took me here for my birthday and we originally came for the sushi (because if there's sushi on the menu, we're going ). And wow -- everything delivered. The sushi rolls were fresh, flavorful, and straight-up gorgeous. Every plate looked like art. The short rib dumpling appetizer? SO good. And the espresso martini? Smooth, strong, and exactly what a birthday girl deserves. The vibe is clean, cozy, and perfect date-night energy. Dim lighting, cute bar, great ambiance -- very "let's stay a little longer" kind of place. Our server was amazing too -- super attentive and made me feel extra celebrated all night (as they should ‍). Then dessert came out and they did the most -- a 5-layer cake with homemade gummy bears AND a giant sparkler candle shooting sparks like it was New Year's Eve Total main-character moment. The only tiny downside was the cake itself was a little dry, but honestly the presentation made up for it. 3rd Update: Came here today, Friday, for lunch at about 1:45. Zach was our server, and he was awesome. My wife ordered the Honey Chicken and instead of mashed potatoes and creamed spinach, she asked for rice. But, the rice turned out to be like a cheesy risotto, and my wife does not do cheese. We asked Zach, and he gave her mashed potatoes as another side. She loved her Honey Chicken and I loved my Prime Rib Sandwich and fries. The sandwich had horseradish in the sauce which was delicious, the meat was seasoned and tender, the bread soft and tasty. For dessert, we had our favorite, the Key Lime Pie. I was stopping by Boise to visit my dear family members ;) We stopped by here... and the food was great. It's actually better then most places i've had in Boise ;x Only complaint was the price.. it was about what I pay here in OC - Cali I ordered the "NASHVILLE CHICKEN BENEDICT", which was very big in size and very good. And since it was very big, it meant that I had some leftover to take home. The chicken was located in the center of the stack that was very tender and juicy, which most places would overcook the breaded chicken. So breaking/cutting the egg/chicken/biscuit together was so easy which i was able to take a nice big bite that tasted was excellent. I really like my order... yummy My sister ordered "STEAK AND MUSHROOM PASTA" and "Chicken alfredo" for her boy, which looked pretty good. I sneaked a taste of the noodle w/ alfredo and it was good. Overall, the food and service was awesome. I would most likely visit again to try other things on the menu... probably try the Dinner menu next time. read more

I'll start by saying I don't leave reviews often, only when I feel compelled to, good, bad or in-between. I've been coming to Crave for a while now, this was probably my tenth plus visit and the food has consistently been really good. That's what keeps us coming back. Unfortunately, this last visit missed the mark. I made a reservation and was seated in the back room next to two private parties, rather than a booth or the main dining area. The room was loud and the spot was uncomfortable. And really, who wants to have dinner with their family wedged into a party room alongside two other parties? What really stung was watching a party who came in after us get seated in the party room and then moved to a different section, but when we asked to move, we were told it'd be a 20-30 minute wait. It's also a little odd to be awkwardly squeezed into a party room in the first place. That space should be for actual parties, not for packing in reservation guests to hit max capacity. Sometimes a short wait for the right table is worth far more than being seated immediately in an uncomfortable spot, I'd have happily waited. Here's the thing: between the data they're already collecting through Resy and a little plain common sense, this should be an easy fix. They can see who's a repeat guest, what reservations are booked, and how the floor is filling up. Use it, or at minimum, just pay attention to the room and seat people thoughtfully. It's not bad enough for one or two stars; the food and overall experience have earned more goodwill than that, and servers are always top notch. But better situational awareness and common send from their host staff would go a long way. A reservation should mean something, and a marketing tip, regulars notice this stuff. A big turn off after a stressful week, I probably won't be back. If looking for a flawless experience after a stressful week, I would find another place with a more competent host staff. read more

This is a nice upscale restaurant for a nice night on the town dinner and drinks kind of place. Inside is elegant and modern. Tammy was my server and she was very friendly and attentive. I ordered the Wagyu Bolognese and the sauce had a great flavor but the noodles were disappointing. I was expecting a wide and thin pasta but instead these noodles were way too thick, maybe 3x as thick as they should be. Still had a good flavor. The star of the show was the dessert. Ordered the "special" which was TIRAMISU!!! This needs to be on the regular menu, it was AMAZING!!!! Had delicious house fudge on the sides and was topped with two delicious creme puffs!!! Everything about this restaurant was spectacular. The ambiance has lots of comfortable seating with lots of wood decor the staff was very attentive , and the food was truly top-notch. huge burgers, seasonal and creative salads as well as fresh made pasta. That's not something you get very often. The short rib dumplings in a horseradish broth was so flavorful. I had a lovely espresso martini where the bartender put a beautiful design on top for me. I got to enjoy a meal at Crave during my recent trip to Boise for business. I loved the look of the restaurant from the moment I saw the building. The inside was even better than expected. The build is beautiful - - very modern, but without feeling cold. We started with wine at the bar the cocktail list as well as the wine by the glass list was great. Prices seemed very reasonable. When our table was ready, we moved to a high top in the bar area. We enjoyed the meatballs as an appetizer, and I had the Wagyu Pappardelle. Both were extremely delicious and had great portion sizes. The wait staff was great, friendly and on point with service. Place was hopping on a Friday night. A nice energy there. Food was above average. We tried a bunch of different food items. Spinach dip - good, cheesy, the entire table enjoyed it Dumplings - did not love this. It was really dry and tasteless. Salads - pretty standard. Short rib- good sauce. A bit more diy than I expected. Wagyu bolognese- creamy sauce. Could have used a bit more flavor. Overly salty Salmon - really nice and tasty Pork - moist and tasty Dessert was a 7 layer cake - rich but overly sweet. They tried to do too much with this one. OMFG, this was an awesome dining experience! I ate at Crave tonight with my bosses and co-workers for our team holiday dinner and it was definitely a 5 star experience in my book! The restaurant was absolutely lovely, our waitress was attentive and the food and drinks were fabulous! I must say this is a sexy menu lol by that I mean... the descriptions of the menu items practically seduced me. I ended up having a mocktail called the "Winter Old Fashioned" which was kombucha with pear juice and a salted maple foam.. the maple foam made this drink ! As good as the drink was though, my entrée was definitely the star of the show... I got the chicken and cheese melt with a side salad and while that's not as fancy as some of the other menu items, this was like the sandwich of my dreams. Not only was it roasted chicken and Swiss cheese...it had guacamole and pesto sauce and the bread... OMG, the bread isn't your normal bread. It was served on their housemade lavender honey sourdough! Some of you might think that sounds weird af but I'm not lying when I say I had probably the best orgasm of my life eating this sandwich! I was like Meg Ryan in that scene from when Harry met Sally- only I wasn't faking! ;) I'm definitely coming back here to eat again soon with my fiancé.. It is is popular and busy while providing an ambiance and a significance to the customer. The restaurant has different areas and can host different events with ease. The bar is situated off the main dining area and has a life of its own with regulars filling it up and some vacationers too. The food, light but filling, and its presentation were very good. The Texas Wedge was such a great salad with fresh greens, avocado, bacon, blue cheese. So delicious. The Crave tacos with halibut were so tasty as well. The prime rib sandwich was decadent and the homemade bun so soft. The servers are young and professional. They suggest items, offer wine to go with, and check in often.
