    Salsa sampler with guacamole.
    Jeff F.

This was a decent place. Tried the salsa sampler and added a side of guacamole . The sampler was good though I'm still on the hunt for the ultimate salsa. I personally would probably just order the guacamolle next. Enjoyed the carne asada tacos. Will be back.

Food was amazing, atmosphere very colorful and vibrant . Our server was very friendly and helpful answering questions regarding the menu. We went on Monday, all margaritas were 50% off. We ordered Ahi poke with wonton chips, the octopus, crab cakes and my favorite of the night the Caribbean ceviche. The coconut lime marinade in the ceviche was amazing , I literally wanted to drink it straight from the bowl. My husband and I shared mahi mahi tacos and chicherone tacos . We will defiantly be going back .

We met up with a pretty large group for dinner at this restaurant. Called ahead to make reservations and when we arrived we were seated right away. The ambiance of the restaurant had a fun vibe. The music was fun, and there was even a live DJ! There are blankets at the table as it was a little chilly since the doors were open. The service was great and our server was attentive. The food was good. I had the carne Asada tacos with side of beans and rice. While I didn't love the beans and rice, the tacos were delicious! Their fries are amazing as well! Overall, I recommend this place!

The atmosphere is awesome. Has a Columbian vibe which I just love! The view on the patio of the river was great and inviting. The service was slow though she was very sweet. There was only a couple tables in there so not sure why the service was so slow. The cocktails were excellent, very enjoyable. This was my second time and the food each time has been a little disappointing. The food isn't bad but it's not great. It's not good when you leave the restaurant feeling like you could have cooked it better. First time had the chile rellano and second the carnitas tacos and both just meh. The cheese, sausage appetizer was overly greasy and hurt my stomach later. I would come back but probably just for cocktails.

Checked out Pig Latin for my boyfriends birthday over the weekend! It was such a fun place to visit! Such a cool vibe inside! Loved that they had a DJ there. We ended up ordering the Mexican lollipop drinks which were really good! There were 4 of us and we ended up getting about 6 drinks from it. I also ordered the coconut carajillo espresso martini and my boyfriend ordered the regular espresso martini. Both were really good! Espresso martini would likely be my go to next time. We tried the sampler plate, I think is what it was called, with all the different sauces, guac, queso dip, beans, etc. I loved the queso dip and guac! All of it was really good! I felt like the beans had a bacon taste to them which I didn't love personally. I ordered the Portobello mushroom tacos with a side of rice and beans. I loved these tacos!! They were soo good. Portion size was great, pricing was also great. My boyfriend ordered the chimichurri skirt steak and really liked it! He wished it had something more with it though, like added beans and rice. Knowing now, he would add that on next time for sure. My sister & her boyfriend both ordered the carne asada tacos & loved these tacos!! Service was good! It did take us a while to actually order food, we had to flag down the waitress but maybe she was under the impression we were just doing drinks and chips. Cute place! Would definitely recommend!

I stopped here for lunch with my mother. We LOVED it! We had a nice table with an umbrella and near air conditioning. Lovely water feature on the patio and nice, relaxing view. Our server was top notch. He was friendly, very knowledgeable, and on top of his game! We ordered the guacamole and chips and Taco Asado and both were excellent! Already planning our return trip!

Amazing good food, beautiful and so fun inside, fresh with open windows, waterfalls, 30 second walk to the river. What more could you want! Our first time there and we will be back often (sorry Spitfire. You lost us completely on our last visit). Nice service too! So excited to take peeps there!

The last time I came here was for my brother in law's birthday. We had such a fun time that I thought my daughter would enjoy having a celebratory lunch here for her 21st! Of course the night before I went onto Pig Latin's website and checked out their menu. Online had a lunch menu and several taco options. So I was pretty excited to have lunch here for my daughter's birthday. I didn't make lunch reservations. I know dinner is busy but with lunch being so chill, I gambled not making one. The host got us to our table without any issues. We were sat by the big windows that were cracked open. I appreciate the fresh air and breeze. It is starting to cool down now that it's September so it was cold sitting where we were at. It was pretty cause of the view but it was honestly uncomfortable cause of how cold it was. We checked out the menu for a bit before our server showed up. The menu is not the same as the online menu. And the menus we got were not lunch either even though there's a lunch menu online on their website. A little confusing and misleading. So we just went with what we were given. Hannah took care of us today. She's a very sweet gal. She got my daughter's drink and my mocktail ordered. And for lunch we started off with some queso blanco. I ordered the grilled shrimp with a side of rice and beans for lunch. My daughter got the Cubano sammy with fries. Our drinks and chips with queso came out first. The mocktail was tasty! It was sweet and sour. It was beautifully garnished with a piece of dried pineapple. My daughter got a prickly pear margarita. She drank a quarter of it and we asked for more prickly pear mix. It was a little too strong for her but after we added the extra mix it was perfect. The queso was super thick and rich. The chips were lightly dusted with tajin which added a nice extra flavor to the chip. We tried to eat the queso as fast as we can but due to where we were sitting, the cheese got cold and hardened up pretty fast. Which was such a bummer cause it would have been nice to enjoy the cheese dip while it was hot. Our food came out shortly. My daughter's Cubano sandwich was massive! And she a generous helping of fries. My small plate had 3 skewers on it. 3 pieces of shrimp on each skewer. The rice looked beautifully cooked and fluffy! The side of beans was no joke! You got a generous side of them. My grilled shrimp were tasty. They were Argentine red shrimp. They do have a pungent smell to them, very fishy. The shrimp were nicely grilled and flavorful. It went perfectly with the Mexican rice. The beans tasted smoky and I didn't really care for them. My daughter's sandwich was nicely toasted and crunchy. The pork was tender. The pickles added an extra crunchy element to it. My favorite were the fries! Crispy on the outside and soft in the middle! So good! We ended lunch with a fabulous piece of tre leches cake with a fun sparkling candle for my daughter's birthday. The cake was moist and not overly sweet. The strawberries on top was a nice addition to the cake. It was a huge chunk of cake. I felt bad for not finishing it. My daughter and I had a fun time starting her birthday shenanigans at Pig Latin today. There were a couple flaws with our visit today but overall it was great having lunch here. Hannah did a great job! The vibe was fun! Our food was decent and our drinks were good. Happy I got to bring my daughter here to start her special day.

I was on the fence on trying Pig Latin due to mixed reviews and service complaints. Not to mention, it's still very popular and long wait times are not my favorite thing to experience. My friend wanted to spoil me for my birthday, so she made reservations. We arrived on time for our reservation at 6:30, with a requested covered patio seat preference, but was told that would require an additional 30 minute wait. Not a good start...but there was room at the bar, so we ordered the prickly pear margarita. The margarita was gloriously pink with a roll in black salt, which made it fun. The drink was not shy on alcohol content but didn't taste like a heavy pour. A nice balance of sweet and salt, loved every sip...just the hefty $14 price tag was sour. After a short wait we were seated in the covered patio, next to a nice planter. It felt secluded even though there were plenty of people around us. I loved the feeling of the patio...open, tropical (not in a cheesy way) and cool vibe. The only downside was that voices carry and table spacing is small in here, so the loud party with kids across from us required my friend and I to converse by semi-shouting. We opened with the chips and queso, per the suggestion of our server. The chips were heavily salted to perfection and the queso was mild, though nicely flavored. I will suggest eating while hot...once it cools, it's paste-like and harder to scoop up. I ordered the halibut street tacos, my friend ordered the carnitas. Food came out in good timing with our appetizer, which was appreciated. We both were in awe over the beautiful taco plates. My fish tacos were perfectly symmetrical, slathered with "secret sauce". The fish was scrumptiously beer battered; crunchy outside and soft, buttery insides. The tacos were full of fresh pico and warmed corn tortillas. Mouthwatering and immensely satisfying. My friend gobbled up those carnitas tacos with matching gusto. Service was friendly and prompt. I enjoyed our server. It was a birthday celebration for me, so I got a beat-box birthday song, flare firework candle and melt-in-your-mouth dulce de leche. I can't wait to go again!

Tried this new spot and I have to say, the ambience is superb! You would never guess it from the outside of the building as it looks like any other commercial building but it is a total surprise with all the artwork, south american vibes permeating from the bar and restaurant the second you walk in. The service here was stellar from entry to finish. Our waiter met all our needs and accommodated us with excellent suggestions. The drinks we had were also flavorful and creative. The food definitely had its ups and downs and felt like they were trying to hard with so many different variations of food styles and combinations they missed the goal on some of their prime items. We started with their chips and queso blanco which was a good start. We ordered their korean kalbi which was way to salty for any of us to eat. For $20+, you gotta get that right. They were nice enough to comp us for that order. We ordered their empanadas which were ok(we are tango fans so might be biased) I had their Pig Latin Burger which was probably the best thing I tasted from the dinner menu (although its not listed on their website menu). The sauce was steller and burger was seasoned/cooked great. Also had a nicely toasted bun. The fries that came with it everybody enjoyed so much we ordered another side of it. The others tried short rib(roasted tomato salsa, cilantro, onion, cotija) and pork belly(seared pork belly with guacamole) tacos. Both meats looked good but were suprisingly dry in each taco. The salsa couldn't save it. We had the Tres Leches for dessert and it was tassty! Airy, but not to sweet and wet the way is supposed to be. So while there food still needs some work... I believe they will get there and if they nail that, this will be a 4.5 star restaurant. The service, atmosphere, vibe, and drinks were great and this is worth a stop if your lookin for some place new with a change of pace.

The bartenders are cool as hell. Definitely a new favorite spot

This place is very trendy and cool looking. We walked in and there was a bucket to catch some water from the roof. Looking up, it was plastic looking like it was a greenhouse. Also, it was chilly inside. I didn't take my coat off at all. It was chilly inside. Happy hour starts at 4. We got the chips and salsa flight. It was really good. The menu doesn't have many chicken options. There are a lot of pork and beef. You are not able to mix and match tacos. They have to be all be the same. I was very surprised at how the green goddess salad turned out. It was good, but I was definitely expecting it to be an actual salad with toppings on it. I was very much wrong with my expectations. Our waiter was amazing. He was attentive and just awesome. He made it worth it going there.

Pig Latin has amazing food, service, and atmosphere. I have been for drinks on a Friday night around 8 pm & received amazing service on the patio bar. There was live music taking request & the whole pig laying crew celebrating patrons birthdays. The signature cocktail was delicious, I would have never ordered it had the bartender not highly recommended. I have also been for brunch around 10 am on a Saturday... received great service & had a peaceful brunch. The steak and eggs was delicious & the chef actually cooked steak to true medium. The views of the trees on the greenbelt and the water fountains add such a beautiful ambiance to the patio. Highly recommend this place.

Every staff member (as well as patrons) I met were all genuinely friendly, & full of ideas of drinks to try. As I'm a very light drinker, I qonly got to enjoy one delish drink this time , but I got to try another drink the 1st time I came, & I had a sip of my friend's drink ... all 3 drinks were fantastic... in quality spirits, in presentation, in atmosphere the drinks were enjoyed in... I highly recommend this as another downtown Eagle destination, even if u don't smoke, or u smoke but don't want to drink...as the cozy yet ample enviro lends itself to both intimate as well as group gatherings. I appreciate that I can bring my own food in, & that there is both indoor as well as outdoor seating. I rate it as very accessible, as multi seat types, multi entrances, spacious interior & exterior. Honestly it was nice to not feel rushed... & it was fairly quiet yet lively while I was there both times... so u can actually hear who u are talking to, unlike many restaurants (& coffee shops). Shout out to the great new GM & both bartenders who were very patient with this self proclaimed high interest low liquor knowledge gal

Ambiance is kind of like a dive bar. Food was not the best and a bit overpriced. I tried the beef barbacoa tacos and pulled pork sandwich. The taco was okay, but the pulled pork was pretty dry even with the bbq sauce. Ordered an Old Fashioned drink with my meal. I always judge a bar by how they make the traditional drinks like Old Fashioned, mojitos, and Long Island ice tea to name a few. It was bad. Not sure how they got it bad. Too much bitters? Cheap alcohol? I don't know. The "highlight" of my night was an interaction with the bartender lady. After all the eating, my friends and I stuck around outside to chat. I decided to go back in to grab a beer. The Yakima Blend IPA caught my attention so I asked for that. I pay $13 for it. Bartender gives me my cash change. I leave a $5 bill as tip (on a $13 beer!). And with the view by the patio, how can it not be the most perfect setting to enjoy my birthday dinner. We just stuck with water since it was on the warmer side today. We just went straight in for dinner. As much as the appetizers sounded lovely, I was ready for the main event. So for dinner tonight I ordered the charboiled salmon with seasonal veggies in place of the salad. My salmon was plated beautifully with nice char marks on it. The veggies were a variety of squash and were sautéed nicely. And you can tell visually that they were seasoned nicely with spices and herbs. I dug right into my salmon. My first couple bites were delicious. I did spread some of the sun dried tomato butter on my salmon. The butter was fantastic! It added a nice flavor element to the salmon. After I ate about a a fourth of my salmon, I noticed that it was not cooked all the way through in the middle. With my new kidney, I can't have rare or undercooked fish. My immune system can't handle a parasite if the fish were to potentially contain any. I shouldn't have assumed that it was going to be cooked all the way since our server didn't ask how well I wanted it cooked. I did have to send it back and have another one remade. While my new fish was being prepared, my server gave me a small salad plate to transfer my veggies to. I got to work on them so I wasn't staring at my family eat. The veggies were cooked perfectly. They weren't overly soft or still raw. It had a nice bite to them while still being tender. Unfortunately, they were overly seasoned and was on the saltier side. I was hungry so I polished them off. But I did have to drink a good amount of water to help with the saltiness. Thank goodness the portion was on the daintier side. As hungry as I was, it would have been bad if it was a bigger portion. All that salt would not be good on my new kidney. My second round of salmon came out. Was it as pretty as my first plate, no but it will do. I'm sure they set the flame on high, let it sit on the grill for a while and then flipped it to cook the other side. I have cooked salmon well done plenty of times and have it come out tender. When you cook for a living, having cooking times for your dishes should be down to a science in your kitchen. Unfortunately, the salmon was super dry and flavorless. As hungry as I was, I ate it. The butter did help with the dryness of the salmon. But I shouldn't have to rely on butter to make the dish edible. For my birthday, I got a free dessert. I chose the gluten free carrot cake. My cousin eats a gluten free diet so I thought this cake would be perfect for all of us. I enjoyed the cake very much! The cake was moist. The spices in the cake were fragrant and very noticeable in each bite. I loved the frosting on the cake. Since the cake wasn't overly sweet, the frosting added a nice sweetness to it. I enjoyed the cake very much! Our server did a mid job. There were times when she would be gone for long periods of time and we had to wait for her. The patio was perfect with its stunning view. Dinner was ok but dessert was fabulous. Overall it was a decent experience. I do look forward to coming back and enjoying the outdoor patio with my husband for a date night. I just know now to make sure I vocalize everything to my server so I don't end up with dry salmon again. I do want to come back and have a better experience.

I had never been to this bar but my friend had done some work events here. She got a glass of her usual Pinot Grigio as wine is all she drinks. We had a nice time chatting and she then wanted a second glass of wine. I too, had a second cocktail. The bartender brought Chardonnay to her and then realized it was not the wine she originally had. She asked my friend if she wanted to drink it or if she would like the Pinot Grigio. My friend kindly said, "I prefer the Pinot". Although the bartender didn't appear upset, she abruptly threw the wine into the sink, possibly irritated. She then went out of sight to the kitchen where she was pouring Costco boxed wine. I thought this was odd that they would have Costco boxed wine and that it was stored and poured in the kitchen, being that this was a bar. I have lived in many states and this is something that I have never seen done, but all states have different rules about liquor and wine. Shortly into the second glass of wine, my friend's behavior began changing. She was about 1/3 into the glass, and she suddenly seemed to become heavily sedated, as if she had been drugged. Her speech was very slurred and it seemed her motor skills were very impaired. I had never seen her like this. She can easily handle a bottle of wine, as can I, without incident. We didn't engage much with anyone except a man who came in to get his missing phone. He was mostly talking to the bartender but we briefly chatted with him. People came in and out of the bar with costumes and spoke to the bartender and ordered drinks, to the left of my friend's seat. Nothing appeared to be out of order except my friend appeared very impaired. She went downhill quickly only partially through that second glass of wine. My friend was very incoherent at this point and she became paranoid which is totally out of character for her. She thought the bartender and man next to her were laughing at her. She actually started crying saying, "They're laughing at me. They're laughing at me". I assured her they were not. I then encouraged me friend to get up and we would go use the bathroom. She had apparently lost all control of her legs because when she got up from the seat she instantly collapsed to the floor like a rag doll. It was shocking. I had to help her up from the floor and into the restroom. To my utter shock she did not even recognize me saying, "Who are you? Where's bunny? You're not bunny!". It was bizarre. I was very concerned since I have never seen her like this and we are both seasoned and regular nightly wine drinkers for many years. Many concerned patrons came up to me to try to help. When we finally came out of the bathroom I said to the bartender, "I have never seen my friend like this. I think she may have been drugged. This doesn't make sense." The bartender seemed quite dismissive and replied, "Oh no, I just gave her a heavy pour." Yes, the wine glass did appear more full than a standard pour but my friend again is a veteran drinker and I have seen her drink two or even three glasses of wine and be completely fine. I thought it was interesting that the bartender would say such a thing and so quickly dismiss my suspicion. I also found it odd that she had thrown the wine abruptly into the sink. I also find it suspect that the wine is not being held behind the bar where customers can watch it being poured. Instead it is poured in another room out of sight. While I have no proof and did not witness any foul play I am sure that somebody slipped something into my friend's drink. She was not drunk. She appeared to be drugged. Was it a patron? The man who came back for his phone? Or another partygoer in a costume? That may be possible I suppose but her wine glass was within my view the entire time and I saw nothing suspect. Either way, I believe she was drugged. Again, I have NEVER seen my friend like this. She has NO memory of that night. All of that from a glass and a half of wine? I don't think so. Either way, I cannot recommend this establishment and I will never return based on this experience. It was a very dark experience and I regret ever going out that night. This situation has created huge tension between her husband and I since I am the one who returned her home in this condition. And this tension seems to have caused a rift in our relationship as well. I have reached out to her multiple times and no response. This event not only traumatized her but it traumatized her husband, myself, and my husband as well. It appears to have caused a rift in all of our relationships. It is hard to believe that someone would do such a horrible thing. Apparently I have run out of characters but I am not quite done. I have uploaded and image which is a screen shot of the rest of the story of the incident.
