Great experience. We came on a Tues night and were easily seated right away. The place is very large including a significant sized patio which is covered/heated. They had some great local IPA options to get started along with a unique bruschetta offering. You can pick 4 different toppings from 9 options ($17). We loved all 4 of our selections with the prosciutto, fig and goat cheese being our favorite. My lovely bride ordered the Chicken & Bacon (w/o bacon) Flatbread ($19) and loved it. Our waiter suggested the Pappardelle ($24) and it was outstanding! Service was very friendly and prompt. read more

Came to Acero last Saturday to celebrate my little cousin's birthday. I arrived early but no problem, they had a little section set up for our party. Everything was prettily set up. We were in the back corner so it as really chill. Andrea served us today. Super super sweet and lovely! She got me some coffee started while some people were starting to trickle in. My cousin brought in flowers for a flower bar as a party favor. The restaurant was kind and had two small tables set up for us. The tables were great but very wobbly. I ended up bending down in my dress adjusting the feet on the tables. After everyone showed up, mimosas were made and cocktais delivered, we finally got some orders started. For brunch today I got the ribeye skillet with no potatoes. Not gonna lie, the wagyu meatballs sounded fabulous but with my white dress, I wasn't willing to risk dropping marinara sauce on it. Next time for sure! My eggs were cooked perfectly! The ribeye was tender. There was a lot of onions and peppers. Everything about this skillet was good! I do wish that there was a little more char to the ribeye. The coloring of it wasn't really pleasant. It looked like it was steamed vs cooked on a flat grill. It was really good but the coloring of the ribeye really threw me off. Andrea did a great job taking care of us today. We had such a fun time being together and celebrating my cousin's birthday. I adored the little sugar crystal stick that came with my coffee. It was such a delicate touch to make such a simple beverage so pretty. The vibe was great. Acero always delivers a great experience every time I come. Hopefully I'll be back sooner than later. read more

Was delighted to try it for lunch as it is right next to the meeting I attended. I ordered the prawn, strawberry and buratta salad with candied pecans. It sat on a bed of spinach. There was one strawberry sliced very thinly and arranged around the bowl. There were five or six roasted chickpeas. I couldn't find any pecans at all. When the waiter came over to ask how everything was, I remarked about the one strawberry and lack of nuts. He said "I'm sorry you were disappointed." He walked away. Never came back with anything or attempted to ameliorate the disappointment. Prawns were good and burrata was tasty. Not the kind of lunch or presentation for me. read more

My group came in on a very busy Saturday night that I was able to get a last-minute reservation for on OpenTable. We got seated right on time on the patio, which was nice and warm even though it was cold outside. In the past, I have experienced very slow service on busy nights, but this time everything went perfectly smooth. The espresso martinis are very good and we tried the assorted bruschetta board for the first time and loved it. The seasonal steak salad was super good and the shrimp salad is always a go to favorite. Can't wait to come back! read more

I LOVE Acero. It's is such a fanatic place. The whole menu is incredible. The meatballs, the pasta, the flatbread, the HAPPY HOUR! Truly such a great place. I love sitting by the fire pit but be careful it does actual get very hot. The happy hour deal and the bottle of wine with the cheeseboard deal for $30 are both incredible. Such a great location in the Grove plaza, so walkable. The service staff are so friendly, the bartenders are knowledgeable, and of course the wine list has great options! Acero is great for a girls night, date night, corporate dinner, or brunch spot! read more

My friend and I popped in here for some late night apps and I was blown away by my experience. The ambiance was amazing, including an outdoor heated patio, which was great vibes. They have a great wine selection and an overall great menu. We got the meatball flatbread and the spinach and artichoke dip. The meatball sub had the perfect amount of spice to it and was a good size as well, perfect for sharing. I will definitely be back to check out their happy hour, which looked great as well! read more

Second visit to Acero and they again delivered flawlessly! This time, we sat on the patio and enjoyed a pleasant summer early evening. Savannah was top notch, had drinks in hand quickly and solid recommendations from starters to entrees. Food was awesome! We had the salmon board and Brussels sprouts, highly recommend. Portion sizes were great, and flavors were notable. I'd have to say the service was the highlight and that's not taking away from the food, but it made the experience that much better. Keep up the great work, Acero! Great date place or good for a business lunch. We will be back. read more

My friend and I stopped in at Acero Boards & Bottles for a girls day out and I'm so glad we did. Downtown at the Grove Plaza, the patio is the perfect people watching spot, shaded by misters to stay cool and surrounded by a trendy, modern vibe. We shared the Pick 4 Bruschetta Board, which is brilliantly cut into fourths for sharing, and every flavor was a hit. The smoked salmon with pesto, apple pecan with brie, burrata and bacon, and heirloom tomato with basil were all amazing. The margaritas were delicious and packed a punch. The setting is beautiful inside, but the patio seemed to be everyone's favorite, and I can see why. The design is thoughtful. Inside, a glowing logo set against a moss wall welcomes you, and a striking artificial maple tree (Acero means "maple" in Italian) creates a stunning centerpiece. Service was great. If you're looking for shareable plates, awesome cocktails, and a place perfect for chatting with friends, inside or out, this is it. read more

I was recommended this place by people from the Mode Lounge (the lovely Ruby, always coming through with the hits; you should go visit her over there) and this place did not disappoint whatsoever. So I'm from a stuck up part of the country (Specifically, the rose Garden area of San Jose near Santana Row) and this place reminded me of a place that would easily fit in there, not to downplay it, but Boise is super nice and humble. I walked in and it looked like everyone was on a first date and no one judged me for walking up and sitting at the bar wearing my Brunt blue collar workwear.. I had a fancy old-fashioned and when my spicy rigatoni came out, I simply said "hell yeah". I would highly recommend this place to anybody taking somebody out on date. Except for the fact that I'm extremely heartbroken and recovering right now still and no one else is worthy so I'm not taking anybody I'm not related to, but don't let it stop you. The ambience is beautiful. The people are beautiful. The staff is super friendly. Obviously definitely coming back. read more

Our first time at Acero. The Fig and pig flatbread was very good. Prosciutto, fig jam, arugula and balsamic with goat cheese crumbles. I wish there had been more goat cheese, but it was very tasty. Shrimp Scampi was a bowl of lemony, buttery goodness. Service was fast, friendly, and knowledgeable about their wine list. Their Fall cocktails were delightful. I had the Passion star martini and my boyfriend had the Cardamon Old fashioned. Great date night spot. read more

Absolutely beautiful space - such an awesome addition to the Boise food scene. Planning a large group dinner and was glad that I stumbled across this gem. We had about 10 people in our party and they were able to fit us in with just a few days notice during prime dinner time. The service was top notch. We were tucked in the back of the restaurant but were always checked up on. From their flatbreads, pastas, and bruschetta. Everything was actually very sharable, great for a large group. We had a vegan in our party and she was able to find something to eat. The options weren't plentiful but doable! I had their "old money" cocktail which was mezcal, spiced pear, lemon and honey. So good, I let a few friends sip and then they all order their own. It's really all about the atmosphere here. Beautiful space located in The Grove right in the center of Downtown Boise. read more

Super cute place. Lots to choose from the menu. We ended up get a bruschetta board where they had quite of few options for our pick 4. We got heirloom tomato & basil, smashed avocado and feta, the applies, pecan & Brie, and the ricotta, nuts, & hot honey. All delicious!!! The scampi came with large shrimps, angel hairs pasta, and big pieces of bread. It was delicious with the large lemon squeeze all over it. There was an excess of the wine sauce which was a little too much. Service was friendly and we got checked on a couple times - believe the manager came by too. read more

It's cold in Boise right now but the outdoor patio at acero is warm and inviting with fire pit and heating lamps to keep the chill away while you enjoy the fantastic food. It's such a great place to share appetizers with your friends while watching sports on the TVs. We enjoyed their St Patrick's Day charcuterie board filled with corned beef potatoes cabbage and the most amazing horseradish dip. As well as some of their bruschetta. So, hubby made a reservation to check this place out. We were here just for some pre dinner tastings. As you enter, they have this colorful sign. the place has an elegant but casual vibe. Nice and open. We were seated promptly. Really nice to go and have some drinks and appetizers like what we did. We had their prosecco & fries pairing for two - flavorful and crispy fries and of course prosecco which they were not skimpy on the serving Flatbread: Pig & Fig - Great combination Arancini - perfect size for sharing. I still have yet to find the best one in town, but, this is okay. They served it with a small container of their marinara sauce, so I asked for extra and they delivered. It was on a Friday night so they were quite busy. Our server was attentive and kept checking on us if we needed anything else. Staff were friendly. Overall, this place has a nice ambiance and will come back to try their entrees. read more
