    Ghost pepper cheeseburger
    John M.

My wife and I had a minute to grab lunch. We are skeptical i'm trying new places as the food in the treasure Valley is hit and miss. Let me tell you I ordered a classic burger with those pepper cheese and their steak cut fries. My Wife had the chicken sandwich grilled with a large Ortega chili. The service was friendly fast and the establishment is very clean. This food was amazing. The burger was delicious. The chicken sandwich was to die for I highly recommend this place and will absolutely come multiple times again.

If I could give this place 10 stars I would. Holy smokes. First of all, inside is wonderful. Spacious with all the coolest sports memorabilia and TVs your eyes can see! Our server was sweet as can be and we met Matt, the owner, who was awesome!! Such a welcoming place. We started with fried pickles. They are spears and not the little slices, hot and super crunchy. I could have eaten 50 of them. My husband had the Field Of Dreams burger, and he took one bite, looked up at me and said "it's perfect." Perfect amount of spice/heat balanced with the burger. I had the Big Bears lobsta sammich, which I've been dreaming of all week, and it exceeded expectations. SO thrilled this place is here and we are already planning our next visit. Thank you Matty G's for a perfect meal!

Solid! I recently visited newly opened Matty G's, specifically to try their Lobster Roll which didn't disappoint. The roll was loaded with lobster salad, crab, blue crab and shrimp! It came with a choice of fries. The fries were fresh, hot and crisp. I added a side of onion rings and they didn't disappoint. In fact, they are the best onion rings I've had in a while! Matty G's has a nice selection of burgers, wraps, hot dogs, street food and salads, so there really is something for everyone! The restaurant is casual and offers beer, seltzers, wine and cocktails, with Happy Hour between 2-5. There are several televisions, so it's a great place to watch a game. The service was friendly, attentive and prompt. I'll definitely be heading back to Matty G's to try some of their other menu items, but it will be difficult not to order the Lobster Roll again. It's a winner!

Best burgers and fries i've had, amazing sports bar-esque ambiance, the service is always amazing and it hasn't been busy the two times i've been so far! Love it and strongly recommend!

We've been going here for a little over a year now and all of the staff is just so incredibly friendly. I mean I love being able to just walk in and ask "Andy what are we drinking?" And he knows exactly what hazy to get my husband and cider for me. They have a good amount of seating and when it gets a little busier they open up their event room for extra space. When it's nice out they also have outside seating. There is plenty of parking on the premise, even when it's been busy we've had no problem finding parking. They don't serve food, but you can order from uncle bobs in the same complex, pick it up and bring it over. They used to have a food truck that would park in the back but I haven't seen one in quite some time. During the week they also have events like live music, paint nights, etc. Definitely a great centrally located place in Meridian without always something good on tap!

His statement to me was, "you're on thin ice". I was like dang what did I do? He said to me, "you hit your vape and left trash at the end of the bar, I have a picture if you want to see it". I can admit to hitting my vape in there, but I did not see anything that said, "NO vaping" and I've hit my vape in there before. The first time that he told me, I never did it again, so it's not like I continued to defy him at all! A different friend and I had came maybe two weeks earlier and ordered pizza from Uncle Bob's and ate it while we played trivia. The gentleman that I was with said he would throw away the trash when we finished and I did not even take notice to where he put it or what he did with it. If the owner would have just mentioned it to me (instead of discussing his discretions with other patrons after I left), I would've apologized (which I did) and made sure that it didn't happen again. There are too many other options with friendlier staff in the area to ever step foot in this establishment again!!! There is a way to speak to people and not be a dick!

Ambiance is kind of like a dive bar. Food was not the best and a bit overpriced. I tried the beef barbacoa tacos and pulled pork sandwich. The taco was okay, but the pulled pork was pretty dry even with the bbq sauce. Ordered an Old Fashioned drink with my meal. I always judge a bar by how they make the traditional drinks like Old Fashioned, mojitos, and Long Island ice tea to name a few. It was bad. Not sure how they got it bad. Too much bitters? Cheap alcohol? I don't know. The "highlight" of my night was an interaction with the bartender lady. After all the eating, my friends and I stuck around outside to chat. I decided to go back in to grab a beer. The Yakima Blend IPA caught my attention so I asked for that. I pay $13 for it. Bartender gives me my cash change. I leave a $5 bill as tip (on a $13 beer!). She takes it and asks, "That's it?" Too good for a 40% tip? My company keeps an unofficial list of must-try and stay-away-from hotels and restaurants near our offices in various states. Old State Saloon has been added to the stay-away-from list as of a week ago.

Every year in April after the MS Walk we come to the Yard House for lunch. The walk is at the park…read moreright behind the Village. This year wasn't any different. We finished our walk and made our way to the restaurant. This will be our 6th year having lunch here. Trying to keep our traditions alive. As a courtesy, we called the day before to let management know that they will be expecting a party of 20. This joint charges 30 bucks per person for reservations as a deposit. 30 bucks?!? It's quite humorous really, 30 dollar deposit is more than a majority of their meals they charge. The manager on duty last year told us to call to let them know for a heads up but not necessarily make a reservation. And of course that manager doesn't work there anymore. The manager I spoke with was a complete joke. "Saturday is our busiest day". We'll, if it's your busiest day than why aren't you properly staffed? "We can't just serve you in 2 seconds". Never have I asked to be served in 2 seconds. What kind of management team do you have running this joint? Clearly unprofessional clowns. We showed up at opening. Clearly I wasn't taken seriously since the hostess had no clue about our large party coming. No tables were set up. "You should have came at 11:30". I didn't know that we had to accommodate to the manager and his timing. He set up our tables and didn't even bother with us the whole time we were there. Food was good. I had the salmon. I had asked for my salmon to be overly cooked. With my new kidney, I can't have anything like fish and beef rare. My fish was not cooked the way I asked and had to be sent back. I expressed to the server if needed out more than well done. So honestly, I don't think the cook took my request seriously. Last year eating at the restaurant was a crap show. This year is a bigger crap show. So many better restaurants in town that don't have this ridiculous reservation fee and yet this joint does. Management here is on the same tier as a trash can. Honestly, after this last visit, we might consider going to another joint to start a new tradition. My family and our money is worth more than the disrespect management gave us.
