The food was really good and the servers were all very nice and welcoming. We had a great experience overall and everything tasted fresh and delicious. The only thing I would suggest is adding some background music because the restaurant felt a little quiet, but other than that everything was great. We'd definitely come back!

Switched from Canola Oil to Beef Tallow! That deserves a star all on its own!! It's not a relaxing atmosphere but it's not terribly loud either, it's a fun atmosphere for a smaller group. The hostess and our waitress were both great! Our kids enjoyed their Cheeseburgers and we all loved the Truffle Parmesan Fries with some Ranch. My husband had the Whiskey Bacon Burger and he said a solid 4.5/5 Stars. I had the Nashville Hot Chicken Salad and I'd give it 3.5/5 Stars, I wasn't starving so it did hit the spot. Thanks Sid's Garage! We will be back!

The food was really good. We loved how some of the food came in weird containers, it adds fun to your meal. We sat at the bar and the bartender was very friendly and attentive. We were so full from the appetizer and entree and didn't have room for a milkshake. But it gives us a reason to come back!! The milkshakes looked phenomenal.

I have been eye balling this joint for a hot minute! I have seen photos of thier over the top shakes and candied bacon. They have such a fun vibe so of course I wanted to celebrate my birthday here! Walking in, the music was loud! I love a chill vibe. I see my party sitting against the wall so I told the host in the front that I see my party. Our server did get drinks started for the others. He finally came back to check up on us. I got me a lemonade to sip on. Our last person showed up finally and we ordered dinner while she was looking over the menu. For dinner I got tempuraed green beans and candied bacon. The greens beans came in a shoe but they took the shoe away. My bacon was neatly hung and charred by a different server. I thought that was neat. The green beans were tasty! The batter did have good seasoning to it. I honestly wouldn't call the batter tempura. To me, tempura is light and airy. This batter was not. It had a thickness to it. Some of my friends didn't like the sauce that came with it but I enjoyed it! The bacon was very very very tasty! I love a great savory and sweet combo. I recommend the candied bacon for sure! For a fun joint, I am surprised they don't do anything for birthdays. My friend asked our server if they do ice cream or cake for birthdays and his response was "if you want to pay for it". Kinda tacky and such a great way to dampen the vibe. I served for many many years and I always made it a point to make the birthday person feel special. In today's case with my server, we didn't have the same ideals. If you're looking for a fun local joint to eat at that's loud and fun, Sid's is your joint. If you're looking to celebrate your special day than I probably would go somewhere else. I had such a fun time till my server made me feel like my birthday it wasn't important. I'm happy I got to try it out but I probably won't be back. I'd rather go somewhere where people feel special on their birthdays! Not just a tip at the end of their dining experience.

Finally tried Sids. Date night with the man (aka husband). Super cute little place. Service was fast & friendly. I had the Mac & Cheese...super yummy and gooey from all the cheeses. Definitely fills you up. Husband got the Whiskey burger w/truffle fries. Man oh man the beef patty is huge. Was wanting to try one of their shakes but our tummies were stuffed to the max...next time for sure!!

So I'm in Boise on a regular basis, and am always trying to make it to Sids Garage. Finally made it, and worth the wait. Extraordinary burger. The service was excellent! Will definitely return.

Very early dinner, popped in around 4:00 PM with no reservation while shopping in the village. Party of 4 seated immediately. This was my second time eating at Sid's garage. The last time was at the Downtown location. The ambience of the village location is a little bit more closed off and segmented than the Downtown location. Overall, the restaurant seems smaller. The best seating was up against the wall in the high booths. Unfortunately, they pushed one small round and a square tiny table together to make a table for four. It was awkward and right by the exit for the kitchen, but we made the best of it. As for the food - fun burgers that taste great is my overall review. You can't go wrong with any of the burgers. Keep in mind, though that the patties are very thick . It's a lot of meat . If you like In-N-Out burgers with those thin patties, these are quite the opposite . Our favorite was actually not a burger. It was the donut grilled cheese with a side of tomato basil soup. It was different and definitely had a sweet kick to the donut bread. Also honorable mention to the the Parmesan cheese fries and a huge shout out to their dipping sauce. We enjoyed that sauce on both our fries and our burgers. It has a little bit of a vinegar sweetness to it with pepper that makes it all their own. As for prices for our party of four, the total bill was about $70. You can't eat anywhere for four people for much less. For example, five guys would run you about $15 a person. Keep in mind our tab did not include alcohol, we each ordered an entrée and shared an order of fries. Two waters and two soft drinks rounded out our meals. Know if you added in one of their fabulous shakes, that's gonna send you back about 15 bucks but for a special occasion, it's well worth it. For an everyday sit down meal while you're shopping in the village or a casual special occasion I highly recommend treating yourself to Sid's garage.

The French Onion Dip burger

Since it took a while for us to be acknowledged as we waited to be seated, it gave us time to take in the steam-punk and funky fun, loud environment. After we were seated by the kitchen, it took an extraordinary long time again to be acknowledged and served with drinks (the place wasn't too busy at the time at 11:30 am, Sunday morning), but after we were finally approached to start the process by our friendly server, things were paced quite nicely and steadily. The poor start to seating and service is what dropped this from a 5 to 4 rating. Burgers are whacky and different which makes Sid's unique. Many burgers come with candied bacon or interesting sauces, cheeses or flavor combinations you've never thought of. There are no combos here; if you want a side it's listed as an appetizer, so it will come out first, not with your burger (unless requested). I ordered the new burger, the French Onion Dip, which is a 1/2 Lb. Angus blend burger on a croissant, cheese and onion ring. It's rich and very different. I loved its richness, though would have appreciated some freshness like lettuce, tomato or something to cut down the richness a bit. However, I ordered French onion so I it's gluttonous as it should be. Hubby had the Steakhouse burger after complaining he couldn't find anything that appealed to him (he's very picky) without the onion marmalade. He rated his burger a 9 out of 10, so it had to be exceptional. Drinks are quickly refilled and the Loco Fries were absolute perfection...crispy, plentiful and heavily seasoned without tasting like it. The only downside is the the fry sauce didn't wow, but the fries don't really need anything to dip with because they are that good! There's a 2.5% up charge if you pay with card, just an FYI.

It's a good thing calories don't count on vacation. This place was so fun. We started with the candied bacon which was highly recommended by our Server. They hit the rosemary with a torch tableside. We each had a burger. I had the "208" burger with Brie, fig jam, Granny Smith apples, balsamic glaze with spring mix. Apples on a burger was interesting and it worked. The burger was delicious. My favorite dining partner had the "French Onion" burger on a croissant with Gruyère cheese and onion rings. We spilt a truffle parm fries which were crispy and delicious. For desert, we shared a "Mile High" milkshake with biscoff cookie butter and crumble, vanilla ice cream and carmel. It was amazing! The service was fantastic and the vibe is so fun. We will definitely be back next time we are in Boise.

Booze milkshake with Horchata in it.

This location is doing a bit of a remodel so the alcohol drinks were limited, so we ordered monstrous booze-filled milkshakes. The flavors were amazing but our stomachs fought back a few hours later, so beware! The burgers were wonderful! Cooked perfectly and soooo good! I loved their fries too. The team took great care of our party of 8 and we all had a great time just eating and gathering together in this fun spot. It's a great option when shopping the village and need a break ... and a burger!

Sid's Garage is awesome !! This place has great rock tunes playing, fun decor and menu items and nice staff. I came in right when they opened today after attending an outdoor Polynesian hula dance class the village in Meridian was hosting and they got me seated at the bar right away. I just wanted one cocktail and a burger- I will say they are on the pricey side considering the burgers don't seem very big unless you're getting one with multiple patties and if you want fries or some kind of side with your burger that costs extra, from what the bartender said the sides are really big which is why they charge seperate for them but I didn't really care to have anything in addition to my burger and I came alone today so no one I could share anything with so I just did my cocktail and burger today. I got the watermelon cucumber fresh which was a very refreshing gin watermelon cocktail with a slice of English cucumber and the 208 burger lettuce wrapped. The burger had brie cheese, spring mix, granny Smith apple slices and a fig jam served on the side. It was very delicious and though on the small side, it was surprisingly filling ! It was just enough to satisfy me. I planned to go to the village cinema right after to catch a flick and i didn't need to stop by the concession stand at the movie theater ! At a little over $30 with tip it was worth it. I plan to come back to the village every Sunday this month for the Polynesian dance classes and I kind of want to stop in here each Sunday this month after the classes to try different items, just as long as my wallet will allow it ;)

had a bit of a wait on Sunday lunchtime, but wasn't too long! The two host were very kind and sat us quickly for a party of 6. Love the fun vibes throughout the restaurant! Food came out extremely quick and hot! Love how fresh the fries were and burgers were well cooked and juicy! Didn't get to try the shakes but looked great, for next time.

Beans at the bar

Had lunch on Sunday. Candied bacon sliders and tempura green beans were yummy! Sat at the bar and the service was great! It's a small place so recommend reservations if you've got a group.

My mom wanted a burger, specifically a Guacamole Bacon Burger and fries, and we were in the neighborhood, having just left Rave. We went through the drive-thru and placed the order. We were shocked at the total, which came to nearly $17.00, but understood that in this economy and with grocery prices, it was what it was. We arrived at the window and waited, and waited, and waited. I knew that they cooked everything to order, but it felt like an eternity had passed since paying. Finally, the order was ready and we went home. Not only was I disappointed with the burger, but I was upset that what we paid for and the time we spent did not equal what we received. The amount of Guacamole was like a spread, and there was no deft to that burger. For the amount that we paid, that burger should have been loaded. My mom made the most appropriate comment, " Honey, Somebody shrunk my burger!" He used to frequent this joint when it was off of Fairview so he knew what kind of service and food to expect. It was my first time so I was excited to see what they had to offer. I ordered a bunless double cheeseburger with jalapenos and grilled onions. Of course I got a side of fries and a vanilla shake to go with my husband's sammy. You gotta have fries with a burger! Since I recently got my new kidney, I have to be really careful with utensils, condiments and lids that are communal. I have to be so careful with germs that could possibly be on these common items. I told the sweet gal behind the counter about my new kidney. The gal was sweet and let me grab what I needed out of the boxes behind the counter that no one had access to. I appreciate that she was understanding and kind about my safety. Didn't question it one bit! I got my utensils, ketchup packets and napkins. My burger was so tasty! I was only able to finish half of it. So, next time I will definitely just get a single patty. There was plenty of cheese, jalapenos and grilled onions. The fries were hot, salty and crispy. I did enjoy the soggier fries, the soggy ones are my favorite. The fry sauce and ranch were both great dipping sauces for the fries. My husband did not share one sip of that vanilla shake and he finished the whole thing. I'll take that as a great shake! From the service to the food, everything was great! I appreciate the gal behind the counter for being so kind and considerate about my health needs when she didn't have to. The fries and burger that I had was killer! I say that ranch was some of the best I have had. We are never really on that end of town but if we are, I know where we will be eating! You can never go wrong with a good burger and fries.

We were close to the area and we finally were able to visit and I'm sure glad we did. The restaurant is located in a nice shopping center on the corner of Eagle and Overland, immediately on the other side of 84. The location is nestled towards the back of the center and can easily be missed as it's tucked in the corner of a small lot. We were greeted with a huge smile and swift seating to a booth in the larger dining room area. Even though it was barely 11:30 am on a Saturday, the dining room was already filling with hungry customers and the kitchen was notably bustling. We had Kaitlyn as our server. She arrived with a sunny disposition and eagerness to get our orders going. Downside, due to cost, tomatoes are not available. I have to say, that kind of broke my heart a little...tomatoes, in my eyes, are a requirement for every burger. I ordered the Bleu Bacon single burger and hubby had the cheeseburger. We ordered a small fry (1/2 pound) for us to share. Food did take quite a while to come out, but our server did come by several times to check on us, refill drinks, and give us updates (apparently a large to-go order backlogged the kitchen). The burgers came out first. I was a little underwhelmed with the small burger plate and cheese that was obviously cold when added to the burger and had become a tad sweaty from being steamed instead of melted. I had little hope....but then I took my first bite. The Kaiser hamburger bun was soft, burger patty was nicely seasoned and the bleu cheese was punchy without being overwhelming. The bacon sung through. The fries quickly followed. We were surprised by the home cut style, thick and irregular...rustic and perfectly cooked. These suckers are huge. But with every fry, it was crunch-tender on the outside and fluffy on the inside. I really enjoyed our visit, but the place seemed to be a little understaffed. Several tables had plates stacked or cleaning supplies atop the tables. That aside, service was attentive and the food tasted great, even without the tomatoes.

Why would you go to all the trouble of bringing a chemicals out to clean a table and just leave it there? In addition to the less than clean dining area, the restrooms were dirty too. And one final note...maybe servers should consider NOT wearing their PJ's to work. It's just off-putting.
