Russet potatoes

What a great place! I've been to other locations, but this one is my new favorite. It was clean and although it was very busy, service was great! One of the best gluten free buns I have had! We came with our extended family (3/10 have gluten allergies) and everyone was happy!

So many different sauces

Such a yummy place! We honestly wish we had gone here sooner on our recent visit to Idaho! The kids' burgers were an absolute ripoff at literally a $6 for a teeny tiny slider, but the adult burger was great! For $8.25, you get a sizable burger with a juicy patty and the potato bun is super soft. Highly recommend just upgrading the kids to an adult-sized burger and having them split it! We ordered the golds fries, which were curly and thin. At first I thought they were great, but after trying the bourgeois fries, I can no longer eat any other fries! These fries were the absolute perfect texture, came with just a tad bit of skin on, and were cooked in duck fat and dusted with truffle salt. The flavor was out of this world! They also have a ton of fun seasonings and a huge variety of sauces and ketchups to try, along with a bunch of other different types of fries! Definitely worth checking out!

Loved the juicy burger to the fries to all the types of dipping sauces you get to try. The service was amazing and friendly. Definitely well-made food and customizable to how you like it. It is a nice place to hang out and chill with your friends and family !

When in Idaho potatoes have to be on the top of the list to try and what better place than the Boise Fry Co. A choice of potatoes from Russets, gold, red and or sweet. I choose the gold. Very crispy and fried not salted as they allow you to season them yourself with a great selection of seasonings. Additionally they have all homemade sauces. The garlic aioli was my favorite. Oh and the burger. I went with the classic no bun very nicely presented with all the fixings. Very good. Service was great as well.

Regular Gold, Home style Russet, classic burger add bacon, egg & cheese, and 43k different sauces. Amazing.

Traveling cross country from FL to OR, I was finally able to fulfill my lifelong dream of reaching the Potato Mecca, Boise, ID, where The Boise Fry Company made all my dreams come true. This is my "World's Largest Ball of Twine," and it was everything I dreamt it would be. Not only was the food amazing, but the staff were friendly and funny. We were there around noon on 8/19/25. Thank you, Boise Fry Company.

My family was passing through Boise on our way to Seattle and decided to stop here for lunch. I wanted to try a place with fries since I knew Idaho was known for potatoes. I was sold on this place since they had 6 kinds of potatoes to choose from with different types of cuts. The weather was surprisingly kind of warm for a state so far north but it was still a bit nice outside so my mom wanted to sit outside. I got the beef yumami burger which includes sautéed onions and teriyaki glazed mushrooms. My parents and brothers tried the bison burger and they all liked it. When we placed our orders, we asked for our burgers to be cooked medium rare. The lady at the front told the guy at grill to cook them medium rare in a low voice and he didn't seem to hear, she didn't even tell him to cook them medium rare for the last 3 burgers. All of our burgers ended up being medium/medium well despite us requesting medium rare. I felt like I would've enjoyed my burger more if they cooked it correctly. We walked in during rush hour and they seemed like they were just bulk grilling patties before orders were even placed. For the fries, we got the gold home style fries, red curly fries, and yam fries. The gold fries were buttery and the red fries were my favorite. The yam fries were soggy. The fried overall weren't warm or fresh, they pre-fry all of them. We wanted to try their purple fries but they already sold out on them. They only have certain potatoes available each day and they have pre selected cuts that you cannot change. They have a variety of dips and salts to season your fries. My family liked their blueberry ketchup. This place is exactly like what some reviews say: you're ordering fries with a side of a burger. Even though the fries weren't the freshest, they were still good and I definitely see their potential.

Personally I love Boise fry company. I like their burgers and that you can get the mini size. Fries are always fresh and crispy. And I love picking my sauces. Always a good go to!

The horrible milkshake
Joseph D.

Well I ordered a burger. They forgot the cheese .. lol they charged me $1.33 for a slice of cheese . The chocolate milkshake is horrible. Tastes like IGA ice cream. It's $5.50. I travel alot and I have to say this tops the second worst milkshake of all time. -- Saving this until I taste the burger. I'll be honest. One of the worst burgers I've had as well. I had to add some salt and pepper to this. It just lacks so much flavor. Highly disappointed, will not return. It's really not that hard to cook a good burger. Something told me I was making a bad decision by choosing this restaurant on a day. I was really hungry. I wish I had followed my mind and chose something else.

Gf classic burger combo

As a celiac, it's not common getting gluten free fries. I was so happy to find that the fries here are gluten free, along with having the option for a gluten free bun... AND all of their dipping sauces are gluten free as well. Will definitely be coming back

Classic bison with red home style fries and garlic aioli...heaven!

Man I was craving a burger and some great Idaho fries. Had a bison classic and some red shoestrings which were incredible! I don't go here enough and am always so impressed with their quality and selection of potatoes. Burgers on the side!!

Burger with yam fries

Date of visit: 3/6/22 This was something that we were looking forward to on our trip to Boise but it was a bit underwhelming. Not terrible, but not great, either. My fiancé is a big fry fan, but I am very picky about my fries, but was looking forward to the sweet potato fries. Unfortunately, at 4 pm on a Sunday, they were all out of SP fries and I got the last order of yam fries (sorry, y'all!). And they were a bit of a letdown, a bit undercooked and despite all of the sauce and salt options, there was really only one that would go with them: cinnamon and garlic. They should really have a marshmallow or brown sugar option for these suckers. Despite their claim to fame, we actually preferred the burgers to the fries. They were well-cooked and I thought the garlic aioli was fantastic. The buns, however, were no bueno. I would have preferred store brand buns over these puppies. A bright spot was the staff, who were very friendly and patient to us newbies! You could certainly do worse, food-wise, but they couldn't quite deliver on their promise and the expectations for our inaugural visit to Boise.

Great food and friendly staff! My family sat on the patio and it was inviting. Next time we visit we will definitely need to visit again.

It was always busy every time I stopped in. With my new kidney, I wanted to be cautious with the amount of people I'm around. Now that Raising Canes has been open for a hot minute, I felt like the crowd to be a lot smaller and safer for me to be inside the dining area. Greg helped us today at the register. He was really patient with us since it was my husband's first time eating there. I snagged the 3 piece naked combo and my husband got the chicken sandwich. He is a cheese lover so he was bummed that he couldn't add cheese to his sandwich but he still had high hopes that it will be good. My husband's meal did come out first. For some reason they dropped the ball on my meal. There were quite a few people that got their meals ahead of me that ordered after us. I wasn't sweating it but I knew Greg was on top of it. As soon as my food was ready, Greg hand delivered my meal which was nice since they usually call you up to grab your food. It was nice that Greg made sure we were aware that he didn't forget about me. What I noticed last time I ate at RC was how small the tenders were when you ordered them naked. I only got the tenders last time and at 2 bucks a tender, I really felt like I was being ripped off. Today I got the 3 piece naked but was given 4 pieces of chicken. Honestly, I don't know if I got the extra piece of chicken for them dropping the ball or because the chicken tenders were small. I guess the next time we come in, that will answer my million dollar question. While we were eating, Greg dropped off another sandwich meal for us to take home. He wanted to make sure that our experience was good since it was my husband's first meal there. I appreciate that Greg went above and beyond to make sure we left happy. The customer service Greg gave us today was fantastic! Only if all customer service can be like Greg's. I know a lot of businesses would prosper! I enjoyed the vibe of RC. The dico balls, the music and the chill atmosphere of the joint. It was fun experiencing all of that with my husband. My chicken was tender. The fries were crispy and salty. I got to see what the hype was all about with the bread and Canes sauce. I'm happy I waited to eat inside so I can actually get the whole experience. I look forward to coming back and having more naked tendies.

I have been craving some good fried chicken and thought what the heck, it looks good. I got a spread...like enough for two people and no matter how long and hard I was on that damn pelaton I still couldn't burn it all off. Any way, I tried the six piece chicken fingers in original spicy, a chicken snacker, mac and cheese, and crispy yuzu potatoes for my sides. First the good news, i really enjoyed the chicken snacker. It's on a Hawaian style slider bun and the kewpie mayo is fantastic. It's probably what I would recommend to anyone ordering from here. The crispy yuzu potatoes were my favorite side and also really satisfying with a uniquely great flavor profile. Where it fell short for me was actually where I thought it's strength would be, the frikin chicken. The breading had very little flavor and the chicken was a bit dry. I did get the fingers so I would recommend going for the bone in pieces. All and all I didn't love it... and frankly I hardly liked it. It was fast food fair (with less flavor) at crave level prices. I order from crave fairly often and expect top level cheat worthy menu items worth the premium price tag. The only thing that delivered was the snacker. I suggest you give it a shot but don't go in expecting Tony G level greatness. Get in there, order local fair and eat up Boise.

I was really excited when I read that Michael Mina, who has a Michelin-starred restaurant in San…read moreFrancisco, was opening a Meridian ghost kitchen operation through Crave. I may have been the first person to order on the day Tokyo Hot Chicken opened, Nov. 16. I ordered four pieces of chicken and the crunchy Yuzu potatoes. I was greatly disappointed with the chicken. Mina told the Los Angeles Times that his chicken would rate a 6 or 7 out of 10 for heat. My pieces were barely a 2. And there was no seasoning, so the chicken was juicy but bland. The potatoes, on the other hand, were really good. Fast forward nearly a month and I tried them again. This time they offered an "inferno" heat setting, so of course I dialed that in. And boy, did it pack the heat. It was much more satisfying. But it still could have used some salt or other seasoning to perk up the flavor. Again, the potatoes were wonderful. So it appears that in the month they've been operating Tokyo Hot Chicken has tweaked their operation. One thing that I am still disappointed in was that after my first experience, I wrote to Tokyo Hot Chicken in San Diego through a private Facebook message (there was no contact information for the company on its website.) I also sent an email to Chef Mina's restaurant group. I didn't get a response back from either contact. They're apparently not very good at customer service. The Crave delivery drivers have been pleasant and professional.

My mom wanted a burger, specifically a Guacamole Bacon Burger and fries, and we were in the neighborhood, having just left Rave. We went through the drive-thru and placed the order. We arrived at the window and waited, and waited, and waited. I knew that they cooked everything to order, but it felt like an eternity had passed since paying. Finally, the order was ready and we went home. Not only was I disappointed with the burger, but I was upset that what we paid for and the time we spent did not equal what we received. The amount of Guacamole was like a spread, and there was no deft to that burger. For the amount that we paid, that burger should have been loaded.
