    French Toast Dips
    Velma D.

don't order the french toast "dips" they are dryer than the powdered sugar and for some reason you have to ask for syrup...they are called dips but come with nothing to dip them in? kinda seems a little bit like false advertising. not wasting my time here again, i wish i was over exaggerating but i'm sure my pictures do me some justice and save you time.

As a 54 year old and being a fan of my Carl's Big Country breakfast burrito for years this had to be the most disappointing burrito visit I ever had. This time we had this new bacon burrito and I would have to say whoever prepared and wrapped this burrito had no clue on how to make a burrito. It's as if it was wrapped inside out, it looks like it was folded, squished with their hand and wrapped on the package. Of course I didn't expect it to be hot after driving to go get it but the cheese wasn't even melted. As for the cheese I could be wrong but there was a slice instead of shredded cheese. After literally 10 attempts to call starting as soon as I walked in the door nobody had answered their phone. I finally drove to the location around 10:30 am and asked for the manager, they said the manager had just left so I left my number and had no call back all day. My last call in the afternoon and was told again the manager was not there. I think there was no manager there all day. I work out of state and am gone for months at a time and where I work there is no Carl's Jr that's why I'm so disappointed. I make a good living and am not looking for a free meal over a $5 burrito. Without management and discussion to employees when preparation is not up to par how will things improve to there customers. I am going to elevate my complaint to the corporate level and hopefully will get a response.

Arrived at the restaurant at 11:05 pm on a Saturday, only to find that the drive thru was open and not the dining area, which was ok. We pulled into the drive thru and waited behind another car for at least 5 minutes before we heard them help the people in front of us. This took another 5 minutes. At long last we got up to the terminal, and we waited and were not greeted until my sister said, "Hello?" To which the response was "yeah, order when you're ready." Ive worked fast food before so I thought, yeah, that's okay, the girl in the drive thru must be annoyed that we're here an hour before close. Placed our two separate orders and were given clipped, curt answers in response. You know how you can hear someone smiling when they speak? I could hear her frown like a megaphone. We pulled up and waited behind the first customer. And waited. And waited. We saw no one at the window. After 10 minutes I asked my sister to back out and go to McDonalds or any other place, but she was insistent on her cheap below-average-but-still-okay-ish food. Despite my growing annoyance, we stayed behind the other car for another ten minutes. It was now 11:26, and I was understandably irritated. There were at least two people in the store. Unless they shut off their grills an hour before closing (a big no-no in my food experience) I still can't think of an excuse. At 11:30, the car in front of us rolled out and we pulled up. We were greeted coldly and with no semblance of kindness, she merely stated the prices and returned our change. Then she closed the window and disappeared again. 11:33. Our food comes out the window in two brown bags without so much as a "good night." Upon opening, no receipts to be found. Every time I have stopped by a Carl's Jr, they have asked me if I want my receipt. This time, no questions, no pleasantries, nothing. We ordered 3 spicy chicken sandwiches and a double cheeseburger. All four had a tiny amount of sauce (mayo and ketchup respectively). We ended up driving home to apply our own condiments. By the time we ate, it was 11:40. 35 minutes in a drive thru, with only 2 cars? Ridiculous. Poor customer service. We felt like an annoyance to the employees. You're still open, you still have to deliver on your service and sense of urgency. TL;DR disappointed but not surprised. Go to McDonalds, right down the road, or there's a Wendy's, a Taco Bell, a KFC all just across the freeway. Dont waste your time here.

I tried the California burger meal they were advertising in their window. What I received looked nothing like the picture but I thought it tasted good. We also got a bacon avocado burger and it tasted good. I would put them above a few of their competitors. However, the location was a mess. Spilled items and sauces all over the floor and the garbage was over flowing with garbage. The employees were are but just seemed to make sure they didn't step in it but never cleaned it up.

What the heck!! This is all the nasty hard and yea after waiting over 20 min for my food I get this!!!! I'm done with this Carl's

It was always busy every time I stopped in. With my new kidney, I wanted to be cautious with the amount of people I'm around. Now that Raising Canes has been open for a hot minute, I felt like the crowd to be a lot smaller and safer for me to be inside the dining area. Greg helped us today at the register. He was really patient with us since it was my husband's first time eating there. I snagged the 3 piece naked combo and my husband got the chicken sandwich. He is a cheese lover so he was bummed that he couldn't add cheese to his sandwich but he still had high hopes that it will be good. My husband's meal did come out first. For some reason they dropped the ball on my meal. There were quite a few people that got their meals ahead of me that ordered after us. I wasn't sweating it but I knew Greg was on top of it. As soon as my food was ready, Greg hand delivered my meal which was nice since they usually call you up to grab your food. It was nice that Greg made sure we were aware that he didn't forget about me. What I noticed last time I ate at RC was how small the tenders were when you ordered them naked. I only got the tenders last time and at 2 bucks a tender, I really felt like I was being ripped off. Today I got the 3 piece naked but was given 4 pieces of chicken. Honestly, I don't know if I got the extra piece of chicken for them dropping the ball or because the chicken tenders were small. I guess the next time we come in, that will answer my million dollar question. While we were eating, Greg dropped off another sandwich meal for us to take home. He wanted to make sure that our experience was good since it was my husband's first meal there. I appreciate that Greg went above and beyond to make sure we left happy. The customer service Greg gave us today was fantastic! Only if all customer service can be like Greg's. I know a lot of businesses would prosper! I enjoyed the vibe of RC. The dico balls, the music and the chill atmosphere of the joint. It was fun experiencing all of that with my husband. My chicken was tender. The fries were crispy and salty. I got to see what the hype was all about with the bread and Canes sauce. I'm happy I waited to eat inside so I can actually get the whole experience. I look forward to coming back and having more naked tendies.

I have been craving some good fried chicken and thought what the heck, it looks good. I got a spread...like enough for two people and no matter how long and hard I was on that damn pelaton I still couldn't burn it all off. Any way, I tried the six piece chicken fingers in original spicy, a chicken snacker, mac and cheese, and crispy yuzu potatoes for my sides. First the good news, i really enjoyed the chicken snacker. It's on a Hawaian style slider bun and the kewpie mayo is fantastic. It's probably what I would recommend to anyone ordering from here. The crispy yuzu potatoes were my favorite side and also really satisfying with a uniquely great flavor profile. Where it fell short for me was actually where I thought it's strength would be, the frikin chicken. The breading had very little flavor and the chicken was a bit dry. I did get the fingers so I would recommend going for the bone in pieces. All and all I didn't love it... and frankly I hardly liked it. It was fast food fair (with less flavor) at crave level prices. I order from crave fairly often and expect top level cheat worthy menu items worth the premium price tag. The only thing that delivered was the snacker. I suggest you give it a shot but don't go in expecting Tony G level greatness. Get in there, order local fair and eat up Boise.

I was really excited when I read that Michael Mina, who has a Michelin-starred restaurant in San…read moreFrancisco, was opening a Meridian ghost kitchen operation through Crave. I may have been the first person to order on the day Tokyo Hot Chicken opened, Nov. 16. I ordered four pieces of chicken and the crunchy Yuzu potatoes. I was greatly disappointed with the chicken. Mina told the Los Angeles Times that his chicken would rate a 6 or 7 out of 10 for heat. My pieces were barely a 2. And there was no seasoning, so the chicken was juicy but bland. The potatoes, on the other hand, were really good. Fast forward nearly a month and I tried them again. This time they offered an "inferno" heat setting, so of course I dialed that in. And boy, did it pack the heat. It was much more satisfying. But it still could have used some salt or other seasoning to perk up the flavor. Again, the potatoes were wonderful. So it appears that in the month they've been operating Tokyo Hot Chicken has tweaked their operation. One thing that I am still disappointed in was that after my first experience, I wrote to Tokyo Hot Chicken in San Diego through a private Facebook message (there was no contact information for the company on its website.) I also sent an email to Chef Mina's restaurant group. I didn't get a response back from either contact. They're apparently not very good at customer service. The Crave delivery drivers have been pleasant and professional.

My mom wanted a burger, specifically a Guacamole Bacon Burger and fries, and we were in the neighborhood, having just left Rave. We went through the drive-thru and placed the order. We arrived at the window and waited, and waited, and waited. I knew that they cooked everything to order, but it felt like an eternity had passed since paying. Finally, the order was ready and we went home. Not only was I disappointed with the burger, but I was upset that what we paid for and the time we spent did not equal what we received. The amount of Guacamole was like a spread, and there was no deft to that burger. For the amount that we paid, that burger should have been loaded.
