Kendall is great. The bar is a bar but she makes the experience worthwhile. Very friendly and helpful choosing a beer. I'd never had a huckleberry hefe and she recommended it then gave me a taste. YUM! We wanted chips and salsa but don't like cilantro. She checked with the cook staff and they were just in the process of making some and hadn't added the cilantro yet. We were able to order it and it was delicious. Kendall went above and beyond and it was appreciated. (I wish more places held off on the cilantro or make a version of foods without it. Can't stand the flavor and it keeps me from enjoying many restaurant items that are made ahead of time with it included.) read more

Great restaurant spot with a good beer list. I can overlook their namesake beer isn't locally brewed nor has many options, but hard to find a Belgian Triple around town! Voodoo is a special, community space. They have great pub food, free internet access, kind staff and an ongoing rotation of events that involve the community. Tonight, it's live music. They also do flower arranging, trivia nights and they're way into sports events so you can show up and watch games in a relaxed atmosphere. They're doing it right. read more

We absolutely loved the food both times we ate there, and the beer was even better! The brunch mimosas on Sundays are out of this world--such an amazing selection. I've been to this VooDoo brewing location a couple times. First time I went in for a drink with co-workers before we went to do an escape room nearby and yesterday I placed an order online for non-alcoholic drinks and food to go. I will say the staff here are extremely nice and their drinks both alcoholic and non-alcoholic are great but food was a bit disappointing for me. I know I am going to sound like a complete weirdo listing what I ordered (which yeah, I am.. what can I say, I have unique taste buds) .. I ordered a lavender lemonade, a maple pecan cream soda and for food the "Peanut Butter Jelly Time" burger with a side of "VooDill" fries. The burger is like a smash burger topped with a blackberry jam and creamy peanut butter and the fries had dill seasoning. The fries were actually pretty good and worth the uncharged for the dill seasoning, the drinks I got were very tasty - if you like lavender like I do, definitely get their lavender lemonade! I like that it doesn't taste watered down or super perfume like, it was a perfect balance of lavender flavor!! The canned maple pecan cream soda was good as well, it reminds me of the Butter Beer you can get in Universal Studio's Harry Potter Wizarding World but it also tasted like it had such an insane amount of sugar that my heart might explode so probably better to just not get that. Now when it comes to the burger, I've had a few peanut butter burgers and while I know it's strange I typically enjoy them and this one could have been very good but it tasted like they put half a container of creamy peanut butter on a burger and gave me only the tiniest bit of blackberry jam. All I could really taste eating this was the peanut butter and I like peanut butter but it wasn't pleasant and definitely not worth $15. The little hint of blackberry jam was delicious but gone after the first bite.. they need to balance out the portions of the PB and Jam. If you're a fan of PB burgers, I recommend going to Sid's Garage at the Village in Meridian instead.. they have a PBJ burger that'll knock your socks off- and in theirs you can taste all the flavors, not just a pile of peanut butter! read more

I absolutely recommend this place! They have an excellent menu and they have brunch too with a dedicated menu!! I haven't tried too many of their menu items, the two main dishes I have had are stellar which leads me to believe, the food here is all around good (I will update my review if I have a different experience). Chicky Chicky Bang Bang (Tikka masala marinated chicken breast) and the Peanut Butter Burger are pretty darn stellar. If you can't decide from their menu with so many delectable choices, do one of these. The sweet tator fries are some of the best I have had in a very long time. Ordering feels confusing. As someone that likes to follow directions, I didn't know if ordering with my server or the QR code was appropriate. Follow my lead, either works! Everyone that has been our server has been patient and fun. Trivia night can get a bit packed and still, service has been great. This is in a "strip mall" type location, (plenty of parking). On a Tues eve at 6p, they were out of regular pizza dough and could only offer caulifower crust. We wanted a dill pickle pizza, so we ordered the cauliflower crust. Later I asked if we would get a discount since they did not have regular crust. I was told no. When I got home and looked at my receipt I found that I was charged an extra $4.00 for the crust - that I did not want. I reached out to VooDoo on their website (contact us) about the experience and 1.5 weeks later there has been no response. I will never go there again and I will spread the word about this negative experience. read more

Great wings and beer! Tried the pb/buffalo and the spicy Thai- neither are very spicy but both delicious. Also the seasonal menu has some great items- the salads are also fresh and flavorful. Service was on point- both times we went server provided good recommendations. I came here one Saturday night with my daughter. It's sort of hidden off of Overland and is an interesting mix of activities, TVs, and decor. I had several different beers and besides the first one of which I don't recall the name, they were pretty distinct and good. My daughter's drink was very good and we shared some fries. In my opinion, Voodoo is a cool place to just relax and have a conversation with a friend or buddy. It's not loud, which I'm thankful and the service was really good and attentive. Lots of space and a kids' play area. Interesting mix for a bar. Seating is miserable. Small seats may increase how many people can fit in the place, but the size is just the most uncomfortable we have ever experienced. It does not encourage stay very long and continue to spend money. Bad move. Fries and sandwich were good. Pizza had lots of oil on it. The spring mix topping is wrong for this pizza. Maybe arugula like other pizza providers use will hold up better. So far, so good! This newest brewery is from Pennsylvania, but is locally owned & operated. 24 taps feature their flagship beers such as Empty Calories (light lager) and Good Vibes (West coast IPA). I had the ISSA IPA and Shawn had the Good Vibes & the Non-Mater- both West Coast IPAs. The pretzels were good. Not as think & fluffy inside for me, but the sauces were great. The finger steaks got a good review from Shawn: breading similar to Busters, these are strips vs chunks. The side of hand-cut fries was was excellent. Service has been fantastic! There you have it! I have mixed feelings about this place. I've been here four times. They always seem to be out of one of their own beers. They're a brewing company so I understand guest taps, but the majority of your beers should be your own. Went last night for dinner for the first time. Many of their beers were gone. They only had a few of their own on tap. Disappointing. Had food for the first time. Fried pickle chips were awesome! Great batter. Also had a voo-dill pickle pizza. The pizza was super good. Would definitely come back for it. Also had the peanut butter buffalo wings. I liked them as well. So overall, I give the food a thumbs up. Have to do better with your beer though! read more

The food, drinks, and service are all amazing!! We were in town for kids sports so we took our kids with us for lunch. The kids meals are $8 and they get several items. We had the Buffalo mac and cheese and it was very good. My husband enjoyed the beer and the house made hard seltzers were literally the best drink I have ever had at a brewery. The food here is so so good! The wings are amazing a bit pricey but they are huge and worth it! The service is always amazing! Today we went for my son's birthday, they were so accommodating in helping get a table as fast as they could since they only had 4 tops and we had 6 people. I asked if they do anything for birthdays (completely okay if they didn't) and they gave my son this sweet surprise as a result! Highly recommend and will continue to support them! Visited the location in Meridian recently (no Yelp page yet). Liked the selection of beers. Enjoyed a flight of four beers. The imperial stout was my favorite (not in flight). Their fried pickle pizza was also surprisingly good. The wait staff was very helpful and gave honest opinions when asked for suggestions. The bathroom was clean. The only negative -- and the reason for 4 stars, not 5 -- was the abundant amount of flies inside the restaurant. Get a bug zapper or fly strip, and I'll be back. read more

I took my wife here yesterday. For a grand total of 3 beers, they charged us $29.61. For the single IPA I ordered, which came in a tulip glass, they charged me $12.65! If I had known how exorbitant the beer prices were, I wouldn't have bothered. But in order to see the prices, you have to first scan a QR code. On top of that, the server gave us attitude when we declined to order food, as if $30 for 3 beers wasn't enough. I would NEVER patronize this establishment again. Absolutely terrible experience. Went in with a group for a birthday celebration. Ordered directly pointing to the menu the side salad I wanted. When drinks arrived he set them down so forcefully beer spilled everywhere and he never apologized or offered to help clean. Our food came and I didn't get the Caesar salad I had asked for. He never rounded to check if the food was okay and I didn't flag him down to ask about it because he seemed visibly annoyed with us already. It was time to pay and when the bills came out I noticed mine was more than it should be so I asked if I could see the details of my bill. He (Gumba-manager) ripped the machine out of my hand and left. When he brought back the bill I saw he charged me for drinks I never ordered and a full salad I didn't order or even end up eating. I asked why these charges are on my bill and he immediately was set off. Started yelling at me about just being a complainer and how if I had a problem why did I eat everything.....I didn't. I did my best to stay calm when he was berating me in front of all my friends and the restaurant and when my friend stood up for me and told him to calm down. He yelled that he wanted us out and it was his place so he does what he wants. We were the only Hispanics in the whole restaurant and had been polite and pleasant our whole stay. It's not hard to see that he was being racist. We all left feeling so disappointed in this whole experience. read more

***Check Your Bill*** The food is good. The beer is yumm. The service was better than most. Would be five stars had I not looked at my bill. As is the new trend the handhelds are used to pay your tab so you don't see the details till after you pay and tip. I was back and forth between 2 and 3 stars and ended up at 2 but call out the good food I had below. I was recommended the Chicky Chicky Bang Bang and it was a good recommendation. The price on the menu is 13.99 but was charged 14.99 on the bill. This chicken sandwich comes with pub chips or fries but I substituted for the jalapeno slaw as it sounded good, it was. The sides are listed on the menu and the jalapeno slaw is 1.99 as a side. I was charged 2.00 as a substitute. Had I known I would have taken the fries that came with the sandwich and added the slaw as a side ended up with two sides to my sandwich and could have saved money. Stopped here for lunch while traveling through Boise and I'm glad I did! Great food menu and an extensive beer menu (obviously). They had a couple non-alcoholic options and mine was delicious. I had the Korean BBQ pulled pork sandwich, and it had a slightly spicy sauce that was perfect! Service was friendly and helpful, bathrooms were great. They had a calendar of events and it seemed like there were things like trivia and music on many evenings. Seemed like a fun place for evenings. Lots of outdoor seating for when the weather is nice.
