Let me start by saying that we are pretty new to Idaho... but I heard about Sids Garage at work (water cooler convo) and I thought... the food sounds pretty good, I gotta stop in and see for myself. So we arrived today about 3pm and it was pretty busy but the wait wasn't too long so we put our name down and walked around the shops waiting for them to text us. We got a text within 15 minutes and headed right back. We were greeted by a very nice and informative gentleman at the front who sat us (and recommended an amazing "Nosh" option) Our server came over and was absolutely delightful! The front guy had already communicated to him what we chose and he then explained more of the menu options to us. (Trust me there are so many good ones it's hard to choose). We placed our order and our Nosh quickly arrived. It was the Candied bacon and deviled eggs- WOW... (I will definitely be having that again). I ordered the Boss Hog and my mom ordered the 208 burger and we agreed we would split them and share so we could each try both... they seriously DID NOT DISSAPOINT!! We got a side of sweet potato waffle fries to top it all off and this meal literally knocked my socks off!! Of course it was too much to finish for me but I had a little of everything that was brought to the table so I could enjoy the dining experience and I was so glad I did. All in all... Sids Garage has made a raving fan out of me and I can't wait to bring my hubby here next. The staff was amazing and the food was fantastic! 10/10 for me!! It's pretty cool. The music is playing, the wait staff is super attentive, and the food is not too bad. I brought the brood here for a farewell to college dinner for the oldest. It's kinda tight. I thought the inside seating area would be a lot bigger, but it's not huge. Super big groups, (above 5) I would suggest getting in around 5 ish. Dinner rush would suck to try and get in. Ordered deviled eggs, and I was in heaven. They came with a cool little river ducky. Loco fries are a genius move. The seasoning was amazing. I recommend ranch with them. Trust me, it's better that way. Sweet potato fries were good and the mustard dipping sauce was a cool flavor combo. The reviews were mixed on the Mac & Cheese balls. Mostly ok. The shakes were not cheap, but they had some cool stuff. The Kickstarter was pretty tasty, and was reminiscent of Mexican Hot Chocolate. Burgers were waaaaay thick in the patty department. I was a little disappointed, but only because there was no seasoning on the patty. I've just found that you need some salt and pepper. The patty was tough. Not bad, but tough. I think it could have been a 1/2 pound and just on bigger buns. It was just odd to me, visually it looked like a giant frozen patty... That was the only downside. All in all, it's not a place I would frequent often, just based on price, but when company comes into town, it will be a fun place to take them. Oh my, that was one of the best burgers I have ever had and it's also the messiest burger I have even eaten! Thankfully they had lots of napkins at the table. And to top it off, the French fries were literally the best fries I've ever had!!!! I'm serious! If you love fries you have to come here just for the fries! And don't forget to ask for fry sauce. The one warning I have about the burgers is that these they come with half pound patties so if that is too much for you (it was for me. I couldn't finish) then consider sharing or finding out if they offer smaller burgers. Also the fries are huge which can feed two to three people. Our server was super friendly and helpful. Come early to beat the crowds. It's busy a lot of the times I'm passing by and the dining area is not that big. Visited my daughter in Idaho and she suggested this place. Packed as expected. Checked in and they estimated a 50 minute wait. Wait time was actually about 25 minutes. Food was very good. Although they try to present the food to you in a special way, like my burger with pork belly was presented under a domed glass like structure, I really couldn't tell because the waiter removed the dome as he was putting it down so I really didn't a chance to get the experience. Everything came out quickly. And all was tasty. Their desserts were spectacular and pricey. All in all everything was good. My gripes would be the pork belly was really non existent on the signature pork belly burger and I didn't receive a bill to look over. Everything was done on a pad but I'm sure if I asked they would have shown me something. But adding in our heads everything seemed right. Would I go back. Yep. Sid's Garage is my favorite spot downtown and I've tried well over half of all the restaurants/establishments in the downtown area, including all of the 4-star + restaurants. The vibe is great, the food is great. The location is great. The service is always great. The prices are good. Keep in mind, Sids is not for everybody, but after your first visit you'll know if it's for you, and if it is, it will very likely become a go-to for you. We were out for Father's Day and debating on what to get for dinner. Looking for hotdogs and burgers, Sid's popped up on yelp. I'd had them before at their downtown location a while back and enjoyed it, but we were closer to the Village, so we decided to check them out for takeout. Their menu is a little outside of the box, but not gimmicky. The burgers are very reasonably priced and the portions are generous. I got the trailer trash burger, my partner got the Maui wowie, and we split an order of trailer trash tots. Everything was really, really good and I definitely overate. I love burger joints like Bad Boy, Big Bun, and typically order burgers at pubs around town, but as far as burgers go, Sid's is in the upper echelon in the treasure valley. Service was quick and friendly too as far as ordering out goes. Can't recommend enough, we were both very happy we chose Sid's to end the day. read more

The bacon is delicious, but the rosemary seems pointless. The eggs...That is always going to be my go-to on the next visit. I have never allowed myself a decadent shake before. Sid's Garage is now one of my favorite places to eat. I've now been there twice in the matter of a week and I can't stop thinking about the PBB&J Burger and the rack of candied bacon. The added experience of them using the blow torch on the rack of bacon is just a bonus. If you have room for dessert you can't go wrong with the "Sweet Baby Jesus" milkshake. It is very sweet but nothing but a sugary pleasure. The hamburgers are 1/2lb patties so you should not leave hungry. I was not a fan of the sauce on the tater tots. Just a note the burgers do not come with a side so they are extra. The loco fries are very flavorful but might be a bit salty for some. But if you are in the area and are craving a good hamburger Sid's is excellent. The biggest complaint for our family of 7 was that the music was loud so it isn't really a place to have a conversation but just focus on the food. read more

Note to self: Amazing food: burgers (1/2 pound wagyu/angus burgers, candy bacon fired up tableside w/ fried deviled eggs, green beans tempura (game changer). Sinfully creative ice cream shakes. Sangria is a must! Sids Garage - Impeccable service, servers were courteous, knowledgeable about the menu options, and "everyone" tended to you regardless of who your server was. Sitting by the line where the food came out, I noticed that every item came out instagram ready...Kitchen service was seamless, and not a single person seemed stressed. The attention to detail clearly revealed as you take in your selected dish while your senses are immediately and deliciously sent into overload. Although the setting was minimalistic and uncluttered, the decor was clearly selected to create a "vibe" that was fun, laid back, and a great meet-up spot for friends and families to partake in some really good food! As foodies, Sids Garage was an amazing find!!! Only downside is there isn't a location in San Diego (hint hint)! I genuinely haven't ever had bacon that was this bad. They brought out the appetizer of 5 slices hanging in a cool wire thing. Used a blow-torch to light a sprig of rosemary.. and up until that point, I was having a GREAT time. Cool atmosphere, great service, and BACON! What can go wrong, right? The bacon was wrong. It literally tasted like a campfire hotdog. And not a good one. My son and I each had one of the 5 pieces, and as soon as I took a bite, I had regretted including the bacon on my burger that was yet to come. It's like they cooked the bacon in/on whatever they cooked the hotdogs in/on. Nasty. We laughed at just how BAD the bacon was, and then told our neighbors that "it turns out we're not fans of the bacon, would you like the rest of the slices?" (There were three still hanging, and three of them at the table.). The neighbors were excited to get a free appetizer, until they bit into the bacon. The first words out of the guys mouth, "uh. I don't think I'm a fan, either..." I watched for a bit and the same reactions happened around the table. I said the words "Nathan's hotdog" and they all immediately lit up with talking about how that's EXACTLY what the flavor was. They left a strip on the wire for quite a while, unwilling to finish it off. Our server came by and noticed the problem, and when we explained, he offered to bring us MORE. I just laughed. He did offer to replace it with another appetizer, but candidly I wasn't interested in trying something else. I wanted bacon. No further conversation, no discussion with a manager. Just nasty bacon. The burgers came out, and BOOM. The burgers were juicy, and perfectly cooked, and as soon as I bit into it. the bacon on the burger ruined it. HOT DOG. I couldn't even finish the second half of the burger. My son and I both agreed... for $42 + a tip (I left 20% folks, I'm not penalizing the server), it came to $50. For hot-dog tasting burgers. The atmosphere is very loud, but definitly matches its name and theme of Sids Garage. The drinks were solid. I got a redbull frose. It was delicous and came in a cute little flamingo floatie. We ordered a Loco Fry for the table. The were cooked perfectly and had a delicous seasoning on them. They came in a little pail, love the redneck garage theme. I also ordered the mac and cheese. It was served in a skillet and was perfect. Tons of flavor and the bacon was crispy and thick. The burger I ordered was the hangover burger. The pattie was perfect. The quality is second to none. Probably the best burger in the Boise area. The shakes are artisan shakes. I ordered the fat elvis. The rim had sugary peanut butter, captain crunch on top, an entire strawberry icecream bar shoved on top. All in all, come hungry because this place is filling and large portions. This place is amazing! First of all the staff & customer service is the best I've seen in a very long time. Norma (Host) & Alli (Waitress) were so helpful in recommendations for a killer first experience followed by great service! Erik the GM makes the best Bloody Mary's just throwing that out there! Will the owner was kind greeting every table & making sure everyone is well taken care of. I tried the Maui Wowie burger & it was amazing! I def recommend this burger if you like pineapple. Their salads are also very tasty! For drinks I had the Mimosa in a bag, & a Bloody Mary. For dessert I had the Kick Starter & let's just say I've been living life all wrong when it comes to milkshakes until I tried a milkshake here. Hands down best milkshake I have ever had. We love the service at Sid's, they're always coming up with new creative burgers and shakes. They tout quality beef with an angus and wagyu blend. Their trash can tots are the best with pork belly and beer cheese, although we laughed at the "presentation" of them. I always get the Nashville hot chicken salad cause it's exceptional. Hubby tried the trashcan burger this time, which was underwhelming and not very well rounded. We both felt the remoulade was overpowering anything else and it really needed some lettuce and or tomato. Their not so basic Bloody Mary is outstanding, and the left handed milk stout is also delicious. We love Sid's and will always come back for the trash can tots at the very least! read more

The servers take your order at your table so that's nice. The servers were all super friendly and attentive. We got their tots, because that is a must have at this place! Their candied bacon was too delicious for words! We ordered their boss hog and the 420 shake. First of all, the 420 comes with a chocolate ice cream sandwich with ribbons of fudge sandwiched in between the ice cream. There's chunks of Oreos althroughout the shake. Now, I am an ice cream junky..and this hit my sweet spot. We followed it up with the Truffle & parmesan fries that had great flavor and more then enough for a party of 4. Next, the El Jeffe burger with sweet corn, cojita cheese and lime wedge. Burger was super tender & seasoning was super spicy; corn was dry and wish it had a slaw or tomato to cool my mouth...oh wait I still had some milk shake left. We stopped in to check out the massive burgers, and I will say they were very tasty. I was disappointed they overcooked mine even tho I did ask for med-rare. The decor is clever and our waitress delightful. Her recommendation for the truffle fries was spot on, and even tho we couldn't finish them, she brought us a box and said they air fry great. 3 stars for what was mentioned as well as having plastic flatware and too loud music for the acoustics. FYI, if there is table service in a restaurant, pinch loose of a few bucks and serve you customers real metal flatware. Not everyone can wrap their mouth around a half pounder. read more

Sid's Garage is BANGIN'! What a damn concept. Remember Donut & Dog? These are the same guys. But better. They've revamped the building and created a place where there are no rules when it come to good food and I'm here for it. Huge burgers, innovative appetizers and oh my God the shakes are out of this world. My better half and I began with a Hazy IPA ($7.00) from Western Collective and a Setting Sun Sangria (white wine, champagne float, fresh fruit and seasonal purée, $10.00), respectively. Mine was such a dope drink. Think adult Capri sun. And it's delicious, I could definitely see myself enjoying one again on a hot summer day. Or any day, really. For food, we shared the Not So Whimpie (candied jalapeño bacon, aged cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles and burger sauce, on a brioche bun, $10.50). Damn, it really is different from your typical burger. The pattie is moist, almost feels like it melts in your mouth. I should have ordered my own but I wanted to save room for what brought me in in the first place... Every month Sid's creates a new crazy milkshake with a whole freaking piece of cake of the top, offered alongside their other crazy af shakes. Their February shake is a vanilla red velvet shake topped with a red velvet cake slice with buttercream frosting, dark chocolate swirl, pastry lemon cream rim with red sugar coating, Sweetheart candies topped with a ring pop ($12.00). I am IN LOVE! Fan-freaking-tastic. It's a sugar-lover's absolute dream. I'm not sure how I'm going to try all their other shakes if I keep going back for their seasonal ones...I just may have to double back very soon! read more

This business is doing so many good things! Their customer service is dynamite and the food is delicious. These are the same owners as the Donut and Dog so expect great food. You should also expect to pay a slightly higher price to enjoy that food. The fries are my favorite. Crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. They also have a delicious, mild seasoning. You can get them with Parmesan cheese too. I also enjoyed the Maui Wowi burger. So good and so messy! The El Jefe milkshake wasn't my favorite. The flavor was good but because it's made with oat milk ice cream, it came out a bit icy. They take a lot of care to make each presentation amazing. I do want to point out that the second time I was there, their COVID precautions weren't as strong as I'd like to see. At least 3 of their waitstaff was wearing masks under their noses and one just had his around his chin the whole time. Also they have communal condiments and plastic utensils out on every table, plus social distancing doesn't really exist there. In normal times, I wouldn't have thought about any of my these things but I do want to point it out for people who are high risk. read more

This is my 2nd trip to Sids. The 1st time I had one of their burgers. if you are a fan of Wagu, you might like them. For me, I am not a fan. This time, I had the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich. Its not a true chicken patty. it was just 2 pieces of chicken strips stuffed between 2 buns and called a sandwich. Not real flavor at all. Next up are the fries. I tried both the parm fries and the Loco Fries. The parm fries did have some parm cheese on them, which was good, but that was it. The loco fries were...well, lets say I left all of them in the pale they came in. Very greasy and no flavor at all. Their tag line here at Sids is that we dont do boring. Well, I hate to tell you Sid, but your fries are very boring. The only bright spot here are the shakes. If you like a good shake, you have to come try these shakes, but I dont recommend any of the food. O, and before I forget, there is the noise. The music plays very loud here and the place is not that big. So my advice is that if you have young kids, a baby or babies, or you dont like loud music, you will want to re-think a trip to Sids. its very loud! read more

I have been eager to try this place out ever since I started seeing the IG pics pop up on my feed. I was initially drawn in by the massive burgers, snake river farms beef and crazy looking shakes. I got the boss hog cooked medium rare and had them add an egg to it. On the side I got sweet potato fries and the 420 shake. The burger was unbelievable from presentation to consumption. Meat was cooked perfect, bun was soft and the size was just right. Massive onion rings, pork belly and a sunny side up egg al blended perfectly with the bbq sauce on there. The fries were great. I normally go for hand cut fries but that was not an option and I was surprisingly not disappointed with the sweet waffle fries. I wasn't crazy about the shake. It looked good but wasn't as thick as I wished it would have been. It was a lot of whipped cream and not so much ice cream. All in all, I can't wait to go back and try it all! read more

This burger was so worth the money. It's definitely gourmet in nature and really a giant burger for one person. We got the bacon appetizer too that's literally dripping in grease. Uh-mazing. The owner is definitely chill too - he welcomed us and reinforced our choice of bacon. Of course the insane milkshakes are the main attraction, so I need to go back and try one. Amazing food! I got the "Not So Whimpie" burger and it was incredible. Very good flavor and the fries were so good. My friend ordered the "Hangover" burger and they loved it. We ordered a bucket of fries and they tasted amazing. The fry bucket is pretty big (about enough for 3-4 people) and we're bringing half the bucket home. Incredible meal and we love it! Disclaimer: Waiters, waitresses, and cooks don't wear face masks and seats are pretty close together. When we got to the restaurant, it was pretty packed. If you are strict about social distancing and masks, I suggest you choose another restaurant. My group (3) is pretty strict about masks, but we got a table in a corner not next to many people, therefore it didn't bother us much. We did use masks when getting up from the table. read more

I also ordered the Steakhouse burger that was presented inside a metal lunch box which I thought was cool. Burger was pretty messy and required lots of napkins. I have to rate 4 stars because it was just a burger! No fries!! Staff seemed too cool to be of service but that seemed to be the theme and the vibe. The food was all really good though. We tried the bacon and eggs from the "nosh" menu, Mac and cheese with lobster added, hangover burger, and the original sin burger. Everything was tasty, served quickly, and had very unique ways of being served. That being said, the prices are *high*, speaking of which they offer CBD added to their milkshakes, which just not for me. The vibe is like, "grow-up skater rebel opens a foodie restaurant his parents disapprove of". I don't hate it. This place probably isn't for everyone, but the food was not just fun, it was delicious. OK...this place was awesome! I love the atmosphere, the staff, the drinks and the food!!! I had the Hangover Burger, my husband had a regular burger with cheese and Applewood bacon. We also ordered the tots which had pork belly and cheese and they were so good. I also got a champagne flight and later found out that they had a sangria in a cool little pouch and got that also. Everything was great. The staff were friendly and fun. It is a very loud place but I was totally fine with that since it was a fun place to be. I can't wait to go back! I spoke to one of the managers there and he mentioned that a second location will be opening up in about 3 weeks in downtown Boise. Looking forward to it! read more
