Visited for: Takeout juice order I came in to pick up a Kale Tonic for someone with a food allergy -- something I already knew was a safe option. While ordering, the staff member at the counter, Ms. Priscilla, mentioned their seasonal Watermelon Refresher. Out of curiosity, I asked what was in it -- not because I planned to swap anything, but because I was considering ordering both. She listed the ingredients, and once I heard it had freshly squeezed pineapple juice, I knew it wouldn't work for who I was ordering for. But I told her honestly, "That actually sounds like something I'd like." Before I could even ask, she said, "Then this one's on me." And just like that, she went and made it herself. That kind of unprompted kindness? Not something you get every day. It wasn't about the free drink -- it was the way she handled it. Thoughtful, present, and genuinely warm. We both said it made our day. The Watermelon Refresher itself? If you gulp it down, it tastes like chilled, freshly cut watermelon. But if you sip it slowly, the flavors roll in: Watermelon leading, Pineapple floating through gently, And mint showing up just enough to cool the finish. Nothing too sweet, nothing fake. Just clean, refreshing flavor. This one had me set. As for the restaurant -- the New Albany location is bright, clean, and has a calm, cozy feel. It doesn't feel like a chain. The chalkboard menus, fresh juice bar, and friendly staff make it a great daytime spot. I've never been big on breakfast, but this kind of service has me thinking about coming back -- maybe bringing someone who is a fan and grabbing another Refresher... or trying that Spiked Lavender Lemonade I saw on the board. Bottom line: Great service doesn't need to be over-the-top. It just needs to be real. And Ms. Priscilla made sure mine was. Would absolutely return. #SupportGoodService

Pretty reasonable food. The pancakes are great and fluffy. The eggs are cooked well. I really love their toast which is just a side of most dishes. The coffee is nothing special. I also love the side of fruit, I can't remember which plate it came with. Service was pretty straightforward except we weren't sure if we were supposed to take it to the front desk to pay or wait for our waitress to pick it up. Then the awkward, "it's gonna ask you for a tip. Is it 20,22 or 25%". I'd prefer to write it myself. Ambiance is okay, nothing special. I've been to other first watch branches and I would say this is one of the nicer ones.

Starting off, walked in very impressed by the amount of people and diversity in the establishment. That was refreshing. And it was Black History Month! So the diversity was amazing. Anywho, when we sat down, it took a little while before someone came back to actually greet us. 2 tables were sat after us, and they both were approached first with drinks orders before we were greeted. That rubbed me a bit wrong being that we had been there longer, so how?? But ok. When our waiter came to us after the other 2 tables, her energy and tone changed from how happy and courteous she was with the table right beside ours. The other tables received a "Hey, good morning.. how are you doing.. I'm doing well... well i have a child...." And so on and so forth. When she approached our table, she had gotten very monotone, as if we were interrupting her day. But nonetheless, the hunger was sinking in, so we (myself and my partner) just smiled it off and greeted her with how we expected to be greeted. Her first question to us was "how will you be splitting the bill," as if we were teenagers. It threw us off a bit to my partner said "huh?" She repeated her question "Are you splitting the bill or just one?" And we answered, "Just one." Why is that the question. I listened to her taking the other 2 tables orders, and she never asked that question to anyone else. So of course I was insulted. Moving on, We both ordered water and a mimosa, i also order a black tea(she brought every tea bag but no black tea lol). She asked if we needed more time to order food, which we did, and she said she would be back. When she came back, she came with drinks for our table, sat them down without a word, but went to check on the other 2 tables to ask if they were ready to order. (At that time We were, but were not asked when she brought our drinks). She walked away after taking their order, then came back maybe 5-10mins later to take ours. We kept it simple because at this point, i was pretty irritated with the customer service. We both ordered the Trifecta from the "Classic Favorites". Mine: eggs soft scrambled with onions and turkey sausage links, my partners: eggs over easy with chicken sausage. The neighboring tables received their food maybe 10mins before we did, and that became the conversation at our table. We never took long to figure out what we wanted, the waitress just took long servicing us. She would come over periodically to check on the neighboring tables, smiling, and conversing, but she only checked on us once which was when we were half way done with the food with no smiles and no side conversations. I'm a firm believer of NOT being rude to people that have to handle my food, so we remained courteous and respectful the whole time. My partner expressed that the waiter would give her mean looks or roll her eyes at her when walking from behind me. I can believe it because she acted as if it hurts to smile when she approached our table. Aside from our customer service experience not being the nicest, the food was pretty good, the atmosphere was really nice. All ages and ethnicities were here. Families, friends, couples, grandparents. It was a pleasant sight. As for Briana, we probably won't be back. Im not sure if there was an issue with me and my partner, if it was the fact that we looked young(we're in our 30s, probably the same age as Briana, and both doing very well for ourselves), or if she just didn't know us. I don't know, but she made our visit pretty uncomfortable. I would prefer not to feel unwelcome when going to eat breakfast. Her Customer Service isn't bad to everyone, obviously, but it was definitely bad with us. I suggest the waitress maybe letting their leaders know when they don't feel comfortable serving someone, that way the experience isn't horrible for the customer. (Does it make it ok to pick and choose who they want to serve, no. But it's not ok when the customer is not being treated equally, and slightly disrespected at the same time) Thanks First Watch for the breakfast. And all the best with business.

Visited here on a Monday morning around 11am. I was surprised at how busy it was but our service was great. Very cute and clean place. Food was really good. I order the Chickichanga which was delicious, it was like a crispy breakfast chalupa. The sauce on top brought it all together with the yummy potatoes. The French toast was good too, nothing crazy. Would definitely come back when I'm in town to try their other menu items.

I will say you can't go wrong with first watch! I must say the staff is always nice and friendly. They really get you in and out. This is a nice location to have breakfast or lunch meetings ! I love the morning meditation! The bacon and cheddar pancake is phenomenal!! The farmhouse skillet is amazing!! If you are in the area definitely stop in and get a good hearty breakfast meal!!

Always fresh and delicious healthy choices. From typical breakfast items to unique seasonal selections. My favorite is the typical eggs and sausage. My kids love the seasonal speciality drinks like morning meditation. We all love the million dollar bacon! read more

During covid-19, if a restaurant is going g to remove half the tables and great you with a sign of ALL that are "doing" to keep it's customers and employees safe, don't get mad when I tell you that the table you sat me at is dirty (crumbs, water things from glasses, bacon pieces). And then I remind you that means it also hasn't been sanitized, don't treat me with disdain for the rest of my visit. This is only the 2nd time we have ventured out to eat IN a restaurant and I assumed that First Watch would be ON it. I'm not confident that everyone here is following their new protocol if the table hasn't even been cleaned. The food was good (8 on a scale of 10). My critique would be the big pieces of roasted tomatoes that overpowered the flavor of the whole dish (Parma skillet). My partner ordered the Farmhouse skillet and it also had the strong tomatoes and onions that werent cooked all the way through which unfortunately makes her I'll. The bread is always delicious as well as the jam that is served with the meal. However the fruit cup contained 2 pieces of watermelon and both were mostly rind. When we got the check, I was charged for coffee which I did not order. All in all, I am not impressed with our visit. We don't come here often because it's kind of pricey for breakfast and this morning the food/service was definitely overpriced. AND the cashier just called my partner a liar when she told him it was dirty when we sat down. Extreme bad customer service. The reason the rating went from 3 to 1 stars. read more

I don't appreciate having my change thrown into my hand after I paid my check. I didn't throw the money into her hand. My hand wasn't dirty and my hand is far cleaner than the money that she didn't have any problem touching. If she has a phobia to hands then she shouldn't be working the cash register. First Watch is the breakfast spot for "foodies". You'll find your classic breakfast staples, but you'll also find a whole lot of redefined breakfast classics and seasonal creations. The interior is clean, bright and intimate without feeling too cramped. Service was wonderful and everything we tried was delicious. My favorite was the pumpkin pecan pancake and I have to give it up for their breakfast potatoes as well. I can't wait to eat here again! It took me way longer than usual to decide what I wanted, because everything looked SO good! read more

Came with a squad. The Black Nerd Problems squad, that is. Made reservations so the team didn't have to wait too long. It was packed but the Wait wasn't too bad (like 10-15) food was MONEY. They sat us a t huge table and were very accommodating. Pretty much everyone loved their meal, whether it was french toast, eggs and potatoes, salad or something off their day of menu. read more

Don't like the waitlist if you are a walk in. There could be 4 people waiting with you but 10 people ahead of you! What looks like a short wait ends up being a30 minute wait!!! Suppose I do not have a smart phone or download the wait app, I would be faced with a longer wait for casual breakfast venture! I would just rather use the traditional call in reservation. What a fun place! Very clever menu items, great service and fabulous interior design! My brother & sister-in-law took us here as we were leaving Columbus to return home to Chicago. We loved the experience! So, you're thinking, why only 3 stars? I made the mistake of ordering the Morning Meditation drink to go. After just one long sip, I got groggy and the tummy uneasy. So I napped most of the way home while my husband drove. At the rest stop, I took two more long sips, not realizing it was the drink that made me feel sick. My tummy was bad for two days. Great food and friendly staff, breakfast was perfect. They lean toward the healthier side and have a great menu with plenty to choose from. The waiter was great, brought water and drinks then took our order. Food came out quick and fresh. The portions may seem smaller but they are actually "normal" portions of food which is a breath of fresh air compared to the heaping portions at other restaurants. Even tough they are usually slammed on the weekends, my friend and I went on a Saturday at 10am and they still took time to see how we were doing while we waited for table. Then, once at the table, even though the waitress was busy with a ton of tables she was still very prompt with us! Definitely recommend!! read more

Until today I've not had much I haven't liked at First Watch, which is why I'm going with a3 star rating here because I'm holding on to the hope that the rest of their menus items are still fabulous. However, I was craving eggs benedict after church and this was one of the closest breakfast apps between where I was and where I was headed and I knew I could probably snag a spot quickly at the tall community table. I ordered the Eggs Benedict Florentine...hollandaise, spinach, tomato, avocado, what's not to love?! Nearly everything, unfortunately. Why they switched from the traditional English muffin to a foccacia bread base I'll never understand...at least split the foccacia in half to accommodate the 2 eggs! It was nearly impossible for me to cut through, as if the bread had been sitting out all day and then casually got tossed on the end of the conveyor belt toasting cycle. By the time I was able to cut a manageable bite sized portion all of the delicious aforementioned toppings were no longer on the bread! The eggs were cooked completely though and the hollandaise was beyond scarce! The highlight of my eggs benedict this morning? The side salad of baby greens...if I could accurately convey how I felt with a disappointed side eye emoji here, I would. read more

We always enjoy our breakfast at First Watch! The menu is large enough that there's something for everyone, but not too big to be overwhelming. Love the skillet bowls, Floridian French toast, avocado toast & all of their pancake varieties! They've incorporated some healthier options lately too, which are great. This location does get busy- you may be waiting for an hour if you come during prime brunch/breakfast hours! We recently learned of online check-in, which we will be doing for future visits! read more

The first time we stopped the wait was too long so we went back the next day and yep it was very good to the point of how can you make an egg any better than an egg? Came here with a group of 12 Co-Workers, service was quick and efficient, especially for a large party. I got the Avocado Toast and a side of potatoes. The avo toast was amazing with just the right amount of avocado and EVOO! The highlight of this visit was definitely the Kale Tonic juice, it was so good I had two of them! I love a good green juice and this was honestly one of the best I've had, would HIGHLY RECOMMEND! read more

Love going to this first watch for Sunday brunch! They never disappoint and have a lot of healthy, yet tasty options. This weekend I got the market veg omelette, which is one of my go to items to get. My boyfriend tried the farmhouse hash and enjoyed as well. Came here last week on the way to the airport for a quick bite to eat. I've been here before and I always order the same thing: the chicken changa. Delish! It's their version of a chicken chimichanga with a breakfast twist. Love it and highly recommend it. My guest had the pancakes and they looked amazingly fluffy. Their service could be a little faster though. Luckily we weren't in too much of a hurry. read more

If you haven't been to a First Watch Restaurant yet, you're crazy! This is the real deal. Health food made the way it should be made...very tasty! Even if you don't like "health food", you'll love First Watch. Don't expect to go for dinner. It's only open for breakfast, brunch or lunch. This is definitely one of my top 5 favorite restaurants in Columbus. It's a great place to bring friends, family or business associates. Cool, comfortable and cozy. I highly recommend everything on the menu. If you like pancakes, you can't go wrong. If you like eggs, you can't go wrong. If you like sandwiches or salads, you can't go wrong. If you like a combination of anything thereof, you can't go wrong. As a matter of fact, they offer dishes that you simply cannot order anywhere else. Just because the menu consists of "healthier" fare, doesn't mean that it's low in calories, so beware. But, if you like egg-white omelettes (like me) or wheat pancakes, you'll absolutely love this place. Don't wait any longer. Take your mouth (and the rest of your body) to First Watch ASAP before the crowd settles in, because there's usually a wait, especially on the weekends. read more

If there was a 0 start I would give it to them. They explained over the phone that there was only a 5 minute wait for our party of 6. We get there and they said just a few more minutes which was fine. 45 minutes go by they sit another party of 7 ahead of us at our table that got there later than us and then apologized again for doing that while smirking and laughing at their mistake. I would not recommend going here if you are looking for good service which is a shame as the food was quite delicious. read more

This is my favorite breakfast and lunch Resturant the food is amazing . Everything is made fresh I got the chickichanga it was delicious . I have had several dishes from here and never been disappointed. Try the kale tonic simply delicious . There is a wait and it's only open until 2:30pm . You can check in online I would suggest that if you don't want to wait an hour . But the food is worth it. I go to the Gahanna location . read more

We enjoyed a delicious breakfast while visiting family in The Villages. I ordered the bowl special which was fresh, nicely presented and very tasty. Prices are a bit high for breakfast but it was a pleasant experience and I am happy to rate 5 stars. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. She left a pot of coffee and bottle of water on the table. Nice touch! read more

I spoke to Jennifer, she was very apologetic. She stated that the local manager of the store on Morse road would call me directly. I waited a month for that call. I reached back out to Jennifer, again apologetic and assured me that the manager for the Morse road location would be in touch. Still waiting... they don't seem to care about customer satisfaction of constructive feedback. Very disappointing. read more

This place has excellent customer service. I was recently visiting Columbus with my boyfriend and his parents. Unfortunately, we had just gotten our food when my boyfriends dad had symptoms of a heart attack and we needed to run him to the ER. The staff at First Watch was extremely helpful during our stressful situation and even helped me get some juice to see if we could help raise my boyfriends father's blood pressure. Also, since we had to leave so quickly, they told us that they would box up our uneaten food and it would be available when we got back. When we returned later that day, the staff did in fact box our food, offer to help reimburse our order, and were extremely compassionate. Aside from it all, the food (pancakes with ricotta cheese) was amazing and my boyfriends father turned out to be ok! This place is one of a kind!!! read more

Though, props to the biscuit for being sturdy enough to hold the two tenders and pimento cheese without crumbling. The chicken was also slightly more on the Buffalo spectrum than the Nashville Hot spectrum. This is a coffee shop at the core, and I don't drink coffee. But I sampled the Salted Caramel Cuban and thought it was pretty good. There's a lot to like here, including the polite and attentive service.

However, they had oat milk and almond milk neither which I will drink so I used whole milk For some reason, the café seemed more balanced aesthetics wise. It seem to work better. I just enjoyed every bit of my visit. Sometimes stuff makes a gigantic difference. I think the upper cup coffee that is definitely the case. They have a good staff now.

My assumption is that the Biscoff flavor comes from the cookie butter on the walls of the cup. In order to taste Biscoff, you have to scrape the butter off the sides. Not what I was looking for. The app is very nice but according to the employee at the register - if you buy coffee beans or other merchandise, you cannot get points in the app. Not a deal breaker but would be nice if this was made possible. Went here for a late Sunday brunch. Definitely one of their busiest times but if you time the waitlist right you won't be waiting for long. Our waitress was great, got our order in right away and perfectly answered our questions. The only complaint is that it felt a quite cramped inside and was hard to get back to the front to pay. We were told the wait would be 30-45 minutes. Waited 45 min, asked at check in how much longer they said 12 tables in front of you. Talked to others waiting. Told 45 min. they waited 1.5 hours. No thanks. I don't mind the wait, but be up front about the wait time. read more
