Great breakfast here! We tried and loved the millionaires bacon. The menu is full of yummy choices from indulgences to healthy. I enjoyed the biscuits and turkey sausage gravy with eggs and potatoes! My family loved their omelets and French toast as well. Love the atmosphere and great customer service! Glad y'all are close by! read more

Had breakfast there today, egg sandwich with kale and smashed guac. Grits as my side rather than potatoes. Actually quite good. Everything fresh and hot. Pot of coffee and carafe of water. Flavored coffee creamers. I'll be back! Closes early so no dinner, but still some unique and varied offerings. Thumbs up! read more

Pretty great brunch place! I agree with other reviews that if you're planning on coming on a Saturday or Sunday morning, especially on Father's Day, call ahead because this place fills up quickly. I got the Lemon Ricotta pancakes the first time I came and they're pretty delicious! The ricotta in the batter makes the pancakes fluffy but taste a little strange; the lemon curd they put on top is sublime! I could eat just a bowl of that! The iced coffee is sweet but refreshing. Exactly what I wanted. The service leaves a little bit to be desired. Both times I've come, we've had mediocre service. It is a busy place though, so I understand! read more

Everyone can make a breakfast sandwich but not anyone can craft breakfast sandwiches that make you feel as if you are sitting at home bunching away on something delicious and savory. Ivan (our waiter) was super friendly and kind! Honestly the best waiter we've ever had! He was very attentive and helpful considering we were newbies to the restaurant. He made us feel so welcomed and attended to I thought we were in a friends kitchen for a second. Everything was so delicious we had no idea this place is part of a larger chain... my husband and I try to spend money on smaller local pop and ma shops but when a golden nugget like first watch comes around we don't mind putting out hard earn cash in their hands. Totally recommend their juices and their egg anything sandwiches! read more

This is usually a very nice place for breakfast or brunch. However today the customer service was the one of the worst I've ever experienced. First issue was we waited almost 30 mins from the time we placed our order, before some of the entrees arrived. After waiting an additional 10 minutes for the third entree, it arrived incorrect. When this was brought to the waitresses attention she offered no type of apology just quickly blamed it on the kitchen and said we can check the order on her paperwork because she knows she got it right. At this point we didn't have time to wait another 30 minutes for scrambled eggs and asked to speak with a manager so the item could be removed from our bill, she said she'd get him and be right back. 5 minutes later she returns with a new check and places it on the table, manager never came over. Then when we proceeded to the register to pay we asked this employee if we could speak with the manager, she quickly told us our total and ignored the request. Needless to say this location has lost a customer as I'll never return there. read more

first watch is my favorite breakfast place !!!! The food is DELICIOUS. If you haven't been give it a try.

It was freezing cold in this restaurant. So cold we couldn't enjoy our breakfast. No wonder the seats outside were filled on a hot morning! The pancakes were just ok, we've had better but the egg sandwich was really good. read more

One of my favorite breakfast spots. Great food and coffee and something for the little ones too.

SUCH good avocado toast the best I've ever had. Lots of good options and very good iced coffee

Great family restroom with unique healthy food! My favorite is the seasonal cinnamon crunch pancakes.

Always busy on the weekends. Staff is wonderful and food is consistently good. A lively spot with ample parking. The only thing missing so far are outdoor umbrellas. They do allow dogs on the patio though. read more

My cousins and I came here for brunch before sending my cousin to grad school and it was amazing!!! The skillet was so good - we made the eggs egg white in an attempt to be healthy but it was just amazing!!!! read more

This area needed more breakfast and brunch places and First Watch fits the bill. Great food - all fresh and whole food ingredients, with lots of healthy choices (if you can help not ordering their outstanding pancakes!). They get crowded on the weekends but still have pretty short wait times. You can also use their "jump in line" feature on their app. Will be back often! read more

My girlfriend and I had breakfast there the other day and were a bit upset that the staff allowed a dog inside of the restaurant, at the table and on the table. It was partially in the diner's bag and on her table. It made a mediocre meal even less appetizing. Brought the matter to the attention of the manager and management, but didn't get the impression seem they cared in the least bit. I love pets, but not on top of the table in the middle of a busy restaurant while food is being served. read more

I decided to take my daughter for breakfast on her Birthday. It was her first time there. Upon entering the restaurant, I noticed their sanitation grade score is 92%, and made me a little concern, since we typically eat at restaurants that score in the high 90s. We waited only a couple minutes to be seated. Our waitress came over took our our promptly and was friendly. When we gave her our order she repeated everything we said to insure it was correct. We ordered to of their specialty omelettes and they came out quickly within 10 minutes. I immediately noticed a long hair was laying on top of my omelette and notified the waitress. She apologized and took my plate back to the kitchen. We waited at least 20 minutes to get a replacement omelette. My daughter wanted to eat with me, but her food was getting cold and I insisted she get started. I was never offered some toast or anything while I waited. I flagged down the waitress to ask about my food. She said she was checking on it. Finally my omelette came out 20 minutes later. My daughter who was slowly eating was almost done eating. A lady came over to our table a few minutes after I got my omelette and said she was "one of the assistant managers " and apologized for the first omelette. She said, if there is anything I can do let me know and I'm glad you got your omelette. Quite honestly I felt the management should had offered to replace the omelette and not charge me. I believe that things aren't always perfect but it's up the management to make them right. the proper protocol would be at the very least not charge me for my omelette. My "special breakfast " out with my Birthday daughter was ruined. We will not return to this restaurant. Side note: our food was very greasy. read more

This place is amazing! While it takes awhile to get a seat - probably because it is so delicious - the wait for food is incredibly short and the food is so healthy and delicious!! Hopefully this time the waitress will be better- but the good gets a 5/5! read more

Found it to be a little expensive and very noisy although worst was that they bring you the bill as soon as they bring you the food and we never saw the waiter again until the bill was ready for pickup, which can only mean that they want you to eat and leave asap. read more

Terrible experience here today. Apparently because I was on the phone, outside (I gave the staff a heads-up that I was needing to make a call) I couldn't get served. I was actually talking to my parents in the UK about the results of a cancer scan my dad had had yesterday. Clearly I was there to eat also which I did not. Unreal. The women said to me, I won't interrupt someone on the phone... I don't like to be on the phone in a restaurant which is why I went outside as sometimes you have to make a call when you can. Seriously, get over yourself lady. Unbelievable attitude. read more

I was so happy to see that there was going to be another breakfast place in cary! It is our Sunday tradition to go to breakfast after church and this place is a winner! They keep an entire pot of coffee on the table. In addition, they have a lot of healthy options! I have had the avocado toast and the energy bowl- both of which are light and refreshing and very good! It has something for everyone. Only downside right now is that they have long waits but that's probably because it's new. They do have coffee during the wait though! I recommend! read more

My husband and I started the new year with breakfast at First Watch. Morgan was terrific and we also saw our favorite waitress, Lori. These two ladies know how to cheer up the morning. Good food and great service with a smile. Hope your day and Year starts out as well. I love the smell of bacon and a smile in the morning. Thanks, ladies. read more

I had the heirloom tomato toast and it was delicious! It had the freshest ingredients and the eggs were cooked perfectly. Delicious coffee was offered right away before I even sat down. Relaxed atmosphere. Perfecto! Would definitely recommend this place. read more

holy crap! Why is everyone complaining afoot having to pay at the hostess stand? Have you never been to a diner before? That's pretty normal for a place like this. Besides, its plenty big and beautify furnished. read more

We go here at least once per week! The food is always great, and we've really never had a bad dish. I would say that First Watch is all around our favorite brunch spot. There is plenty of competition in the area, but First Watch just does everything really well. The AM Superfoods bowl is awesome by the way :) read more

Food is pretty good, service was fast. Wait would have been worse if I didn't sit at the community table. I mean rub some elbows with your neighbors, who cares? Price was good for the amount of food I recrived, which was a lot and yummy. My only drawback is the noise level but looking at the height of the ceilings I get why. And the floors are gorgeous. Shout out to the design team, I ordered samples for my own home. I'll try the coffee next time and be able to give a better review, because isn't that what it's about anyway? read more

I was excited to try First Watch because my family loves fresh, high quality, healthy, comfort food. We were seated after a 30 minute wait which is understandable at midmorning on a Sunday. Yelp app seating was cool to use. After being seated, we ordered drinks- coffee, decaf for DH, waitress poured regular for both of us, DH reminded her that he ordered decaf, so she poured his regular into mine, went to find decaf, and came back 10 minutes later with a very sour tasting decaf. We were ready to order - Belgian waffles, chocolate chip pancake, eggs, sausage, etc, and I chose the lemon ricotta pancakes with a side of bacon. 20 minutes later, my plate arrives and looks amazing. A bit dry and slightly burned on one side, but tastes fine. The lemon curd was very good. Other plates arrived, including my bacon which was soggy. I got towards the middle of my pancakes and discovered chives all over the pancake bottom. I asked a different waitress to have it remade, she apologized and took it away. I asked for crispier bacon, by now, my pieces were limp and pale, so the waitress asked me to remove other food bits from the bacon plate and she would make them crispier. I find that to be an alarming practice- what if I had bitten a piece that was going back on the grill with other people's bacon? My daughter's chocolate chip pancake was crispy and thin, and my son's sausage was burnt to a crisp. The berry compote was good, though. I sat waiting for my remade food which never arrived, so I went to pay and asked to be refunded for my meal. I explained the other faults when she asked, but was given only an apology in return. Sanitation rating was 96. There was smashed food under our booth, and the atmosphere was incredibly loud. Waiters and waitresses seemed rushed and lacked personal boundaries when reaching across tables instead of walking around to hand out plates to customers. There seemed to be several wrong orders or missing item at tables around us. All in all, a very disappointing experience and we will not be returning. read more

Stopped in for breakfast this morning. It's Mother's Day, so we went early, arriving at 8:15am. There were several families waiting, not shocking, but the hostess told us our wait would be 15-20 minutes. As our wait extended to 30 and 45 minutes, we began to notice families that had not been there when we got there getting seated ahead of us. We asked when we would be seated, and they said there was one group ahead of us. When our wait got to 1 hour, we asked what was going on. A manager told us that people can use Yelp's NoWait app, and that can allow them to essentially cut in line. She said she "hates it". We did get sat at that point. The food was good, though our waitress forgot about my orange juice for quite some time and then brought us the wrong bill when the time came. I guess First Watch management figures that people who come in to the restaurant and check in will be willing to wait a long time, but people online might go elsewhere if the wait is too long, so the online folks get preference. Thanks for ruining our Mother's Day, First Watch! read more

You must use the Yelp app if you want to be seated. The Restaurant does not take reservations over the phone. They should tell customers that they must have and use the Yelp app or otherwise they will continuously get bumped further down the line. The restaurant is very crowded on Easter and Mother's Day and the restaurant cannot handle the volume. We were told it was an hour and 1/2 wait time on Mother's Day. After an hour and 1/2, we ate at the communal table. After we left the restaurant, we got the text message that our table was ready which was 2 hours and 45 minutes after our arrival. This did not make for a good Mother's Day experience. This is unfortunate because the food is good. read more

Great food, great service. Can be long waits, but that says something good about the restaurant. Market Hash is my fav!

The food was so good!! I ordered the works omelette and it was so fresh. I substituted egg whites and gluten free bread and it was no extra cost. Was in town visiting or I would go back over and over!! read more

We visited First Watch at 11 a.m. on a Tuesday. Our first reaction was to leave and find another place. The noise level was unbearable, and that doesn't include the crying children. When we mentioned our discomfort to our server, he said it was really pretty quiet compared to other times. The menu is fine but seemed a couple of dollars higher for entrees than for comparable meals at other places, like Brig's, Toast and the Eggs Up Grill. I ordered the so-called "made to order" steel-cut oatmeal on the Lighter Side section. It was a smallish bowl that tasted fine but had a grainy texture that made me wonder if it was some class of instant steel-cut oats. It came promptly, so it certainly didn't cook for the 25 minutes that steel-cut requires. Served with it was a large double chocolate muffin - like one of those in the grocery store with 600 calories and that more closely resembles a dense chunk of cake. So much for the Lighter Side. My companion had the Skillet Hash and he thoroughly enjoyed it. To sum up, the house staff was pleasant and attentive, the food was fine though a little pricey, but when I'm trying to ease into the day, the noise was a complete deal breaker. We'll never go back. read more

Really good food would definitely recommend, but the service can be very slow on busy days (most days). You might also have to wait a while to get a seat. read more

Amazing food and service. Even on a crowded morning our food came out quickly with no errors! The menu has so many options it made it almost impossible to choose what to get! Always pleased when eating here. read more

We love this place but today was really disappointing. Ran out of avocado toast only to see it 10 mins later getting delivered to another table. Omelette had more onions than anything and was cold. It was supposed to be Chile chorizo. The other dish (Eggs Benedict) was too salty. We mentioned it to the server but i don't think she could care less. Time for a new brunch spot. read more

Came here looking for sandwich and salad (maybe an alternative to Panera?) I was not disappointed. The roast beef sandwich I had was very tasty and the salad was also very good. The dressing is too sweet and too much, so I'll ask for it on the side next time. The portions for a 1/2 - 1/2 sandwich/salad was very generous, more than Panera. The lunch special prices are much better. The service was also excellent. While I'm not a big breakfast person, the breakfast items on the menu sound delicious. read more

There is not one thing bad about this place! We were visiting the area from California and didnt want the basic diner food. This place was perfect! Everyone was so friendly! Everything on the menu looked delicious! The bread is amazing! Jenny was the best! Mark gave great recommendations for things to do while we are visiting. Service was excellent! read more

Placed a to go order. Ordered the Superfood Kale salad with the dressing on the side, but when we got home, we found that along with the container of dressing, it still had dressing in the salad. Also ordered the BLTE, which had very little lettuce on the sandwich, but came with lettuce on the side. Unfortunately, it was drenched in dressing, so was inedible. Expected better from this place. Disappointing. read more

Excellent brunch location. There is usually a wait but they have an app that you can use to make it go faster. The food selection is great and everyone in our family can find something they like to order. The staff is attentive and pleasant. We have not had any issues with our check or service in the 3 or so times we have been. I agree with another reviewer that this location can get pretty loud especially on the weekends when more families are dining. But overall this is a place we like to come to when we want to splurge after church or an early morning soccer game. read more

My son and I ate here yesterday and it was fantastic. This location is brand new and in a great location. The environment is cool and clean and fun. The quality of the food is very high. I had an egg white veggie omelet and the toast it comes with is crazy good. My son got a huge chocolate chip pancake with sausage and he loved it. The staff were nice and professional. The menu has a lot of variety and we cannot wait to go back to try some other options. read more
