Rapid to go pick up!!
Carolyn T.

We absolutely love this restaurant. My husband's been here several times and has really enjoyed the service as well as the subs. I went with him a couple weeks ago and the staff was amazing everyone was so friendly and seemed genuinely happy to be working at this restaurant. They are taking all the precautions to make sure that you stay safe with social distancing and masks. Needless to say the food is absolutely amazing, they also offer an option where you can order online pay online and pick up at a station in front of the counter. Very convenient.

Half involved. I think this location didn't hear me when I said "fully involved" so my sandwhich lacked the lettuce tomatoes onions part. Otherwise the rating would be higher.

8" brisket sandwich with light mayo & a small drink - $10 Next time... no mayo
Fun C.

Trust those who Yelp regularly GREAT staff!!! I had the 8 inch brisket sandwich with light mayo, as suggested by the team behind the counter. I was not disappointed. It's not too big, so I recommend getting the chips and drink combo if you are [normally] hungry. Next time... no mayo for me. Recommended

Datil Pepper Sauce makes me homesick. Hell, Firehouse Subs makes me homesick too!

Thinnest sandwiches I've ever had. Poor quality of meats. Don't waste your time and money here.

Two subs tonight, a club and a hook and ladder. Found a long black hair in each sub. Absolutely disgusted.

Parking is super convenient since this Firehouse Subs is part of a strip mall, so there's a big parking lot right next to it.

The atmosphere strikes that nice balance between relaxed and refined, where conversation flows without feeling rushed. She went with the filet mignon, cooked medium, and it came out exactly as requested, tender, flavorful, and clearly handled with care. That's what she said. I ordered the chicken pesto entrée, which held its own with a rich, well-balanced flavor that didn't try too hard but delivered where it mattered. Now, the real standout: the Hot Honey Roasted Brussels. Those were done to perfection. Crisp on the outside, tender inside, with just the right touch of sweetness and heat. Frankly, I could eat those daily without a second thought. Service deserves a nod, too. The chef stopped by the table to check in, which we were not expecting. Payton, our server, had a great read on the table, attentive when needed, but gave us the space to enjoy the evening without interruption. That kind of awareness goes a long way, especially on a date. All in, it's the kind of place that quietly does things right. Good food, easy atmosphere, and just enough polish to make the night feel a little special. Definitely a strong choice when you're hoping for a second date that turns into a third.

Owner: Please get that head banging loud music out of there. This may serve your cooks well but not your customers. The profile of a headbanger and a $20 sandwich is not the same. So loud we couldn't have a conversation across the table. We asked the waitperson to lower the music and she did but the volume crept back up before the end of our meal. This was my 4th visit and if the music is that loud again we will turn around and walk out. Not because of the food or service but I would like to communicate with my dining partner throughout the meal.

After opening the Yelp app, looking at reviews and pictures, we decided to give Scratch Kitchen & Taproom and go. NARRATIVE: Due to construction in the parking lot behind Scratch Kitchen (Temple Street), we ended up entering the restaurant from the N. Salem Street. And before going in, I noticed the signage above the building says; Tobacco & Mule Exchange. I'm not sure of the buildings history but the buildings interior has a story. Entering from the Salem Street side, you'll pass several shops and a unique bar / barber shop and Scratch Kitchen is located at the end of the hallway on the left. When we arrived at the podium, just outside the restaurant, we were promptly greeted and seated and within the minute, our server and his "shadow" server greeted us and introduced themselves. And after going over the menu and special meals for the day, our drink orders were taken. We ordered the Spicy Tuna Sushi Round as our appetizer; "Spicy ahi tuna with avocado, cucumber and wake over a seared sushi rice patty with edamame and fried green tomato. Topped with wasabi-miso crema and mirin-soy glaze." It was presented and tasted just as good as it sounds. For the main dish, I had to get the Shrimp & Grits; "Cheddar stone ground grits with seared shrimp and pork belly, peppers, onions and a creamy gochugaru sauce. Topped with green onions." And as you can see by not only my photos but others on Yelp, it was an amazing choice and amazing meal. I don't recall what my daughter had as her main but she said it was really good. SCENE: Scratch Kitchen & Taproom is located in the downtown area of Apex. Parking, especially when city workers are doing construction in the rear lot (Temple Street) can be a challenge. I also noted a man, who had too much to drink did order and get a ride from either an Uber or Lyft which is great if you don't want to drive or worry about parking. RECOMMENDATION(S): Scratch Kitchen is quant with that small town feel. Service from the staff was top notch and genuine and could be felt during our interacts with them. The food and its presentation were exemplary so yes, I'll highly recommend a visit. I know I'll be back.

We haven't tried many restaurants in Apex so I had to heard of Serafina Ristorante. The cocktails were just divine. I started with the No. 152, which has gin, strawberry-basil, lemon, and vermouth. What a lovely and delicate combination. My husband got the No. 198, which has mezcal. It would be difficult to choose a favorite. I'm also not a fan of ice so I'd recommend skipping the ice, which I did for the next drink. Later we got the No. 043 that has lavender, honey, lemon, and white grape. I think this was my least favorite. For dinner, I went with the restaurant week pear and fig salad and rigatoni bolognese. My only complaint was that the salad was a little salty for my taste. Otherwise, everything was delicious and fresh. My husband opted for the roasted chicken, which was the star of the show. This chicken elevated the whole meal. It was roasted perfectly and had so many wonderful flavors like fig and apples. I was jealous of his meal, but he let me have a few bites. My only complaint is that it was small. For dessert I had the panna cotta and my husband had the cannolis. Again, I was jealous of his, but I helped him eat them. The chocolate cannoli was the best. The panna cotta was also nice, light, and fresh. The restaurant and bar itself was pretty inside with nice decor and a warm vibe. We had a great experience for my Birthday dinner and I'd definitely visit again!
