My experience here was perfectly OK but I don't feel super inspired to come back. This McAlister's is located in a small strip mall with quite a few parking spots nearby. We came in for an early lunch so it wasn't too busy. I ended up ordering the Smoky Pepper Jack Turkey and it was perfectly fine but nothing crazy good. The bread was decent quality but all of the flavors just kind of blended together. The food was prepared quickly and I think the price point was reasonably fair. Overall, it wasn't bad but there are a bunch of other nearby sandwich spots that I'd like to try out, so I think McAlister's will be put on ice for a while :) read more

This place is filthy and bathroom had no tp and dirty. They just opened less than an hour before, which means nobody cleaned last night or this morning I stood at the counter for ever to order ( before 11am) 1 customer inside. She (Kristina)was only concerned about her to go -catering orders and zero concern about me standing there. No welcome no I can take care of you when you're ready. Just blatant ignoring I considered leaving zero tip, but I'm just not that kind of person. I will say tea was good. Club sandwich was paltry for $12. The food was okay! I got a sweet and smoky chicken sandwich. I wish it came with more vegetables, but the BBQ sauce was tasty. Their lemonade is really good, too. It's not fancy since it is quick service but there's plenty of seating for smaller and larger groups. Service can be a bit slow but like many places, they are short-handed. My personal favorite is the Pick 2. It's a take on the other popular quick service chain that also offers this but the biggest difference is that the quality is much better at McAlisters and the portion sizes are much more generous at a fraction of the cost. read more

I have visiting this location several times and took a friend this week and we both enjoyed our meals. My friend got a HUGE baked potato filled with cheese olives, green onions, butter, sour cream, and bacon. She took half of it home! She also got a HUGE piece of carrot cake and said it was the best she has ever had. I always get a pick 2, so this time I got the king club and a southwest chicken with avacado salad. Their tea is always so good and the drinks come in a huge cup. The place was clean and the employees were all kind and helpful. We were there between lunch and dinner and were told they would only be doing take out for dinner due to lack of staff. We were glad to have been there ahead of the dining room closing. Had a half hot roast beef sandwich and a cup of chili. Both were skimpy. Chili was barely filled to three quarters in the cup. In the sandwich the beef was tucked to one side and none at about the last quarter of the bun. Not much cheese on it to speak of either. With the drink the bill was $15 and not worth it IMO. McAlister's is an establishment where you can get great, wholesome sandwiches, soups and salads. I will say that their proportions have slightly decreased over the years but the food still is packed with quality ingredients. In terms of cost -- I'd probably give it two $ our of $$$$. It's a little steep for what you're getting. But hey, the food is enjoyable. Staff at this location was incredibly kind and top rated customer service. Came here with a friend after walking Apex Lake. Very convenient location with other restaurants and shopping around. We were served right away at the counter and the server was very accommodating and that I didn't want to eat meet that day and she added extra guacamole instead to my salad. The salad had a lot of good texture in it and was fresh. The tomato bisque was warm and flavorful. The restaurant was pretty clean and the server took our plates shortly after we were finished. First visit to this new location. Very new and clean. Walking through the parking lot from COSTCO we found few sidewalks. Wish these new spaces could be designed with walkers in mind. No wonder 2/3 of Americans are overweight. We made it safely to McAlister's at noon on a Monday. No line, no wait. Friendly staff, even came around to refill my iced tea--the real reason I came here--love its fresh brewed flavor. Hubby and I both had the chose 2 option and had 1/4 muffuletta with salads, his Savannah chopped and mine southwest Cobb. Other than having the core of lettuce head included in mine, salads were very tasty, fresh and generous portion. The muffuletta was just okay. It's not NOLA, we're in Apex, NC. Close enough. This is one place I will never visit again. Food was way over priced. I ordered a club for $9.99 and a sweet tea for $2.79. Asked for a smaller size tea and was shown a cup the size of a water cup at Popeyes for $1.79. My wife ordered a chicken sandwich with water. The club came on two slices of toasted white bread, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, ham, turkey, mayo and no bacon. Every club I ever had that is on sandwich bread always comes as triple decker. Plus they wanted a tip when I ordered the food at the counter. This place is set up fast food style so tipping is out when all you do is take my order. Worst club I have ever had. Total bill almost $25 for two crummy sandwiches and one ice tea. Terrible, go around the corner to Schlotzskys instead. read more

I placed my order. Asked that they not put onion or horseradish sauce on sandwich. The lady that took my order was pleasant and professional. At the time of my order, she was taking orders and delivering food so it was a bit of a wait to place order. Eventually what appeared to be a manager came off his break and started helping. My bf wanted me to give them 2 stars, but I bumped my 4 stars to 3. The biggest complaint would be the staff. There was giggling and screaming in the back. The cashier didn't smile at us once or offer any help, as it was our first time. It was open seating, but a lot of the tables were dirty and had crumbs all over. I stopped by today on my way to the car dealership and i have my car serviced. I placed a takeout order of a pick two, the jalapeño crunch turkey sandwich and asked for no bacon. I also ordered the southwest chicken salad with the vinaigrette on the side and a side of ranch. I drive to the dealership, check in, sit outside to eat my lunch, and low and behold...there is bacon on the sandwich and absolutely no salad dressing included whatsoever. High quality ingredients with a friendly staff. This was the first time I've been to this chain. You order at the counter and they bring you your food and drinks. It's nice that they refill your drinks for you but I think I'd prefer just getting my own refills. We got to go for a free soft opening type of thing through facebook. I had the New Yorker, pastrami and corned piled high in marble rye, it was great and very meaty. The sandwiches come with a side, I got the potato salad which was actually very good. My wife got the club which she loved. I tried their mac and cheese which was very good as well. Their menu is mostly made up of sandwiches but they have a bunch of other stuff as well. I have not been to a McAlister's since Wilmington. This location near Costco just opened and there is always a busy line. Every table was taken and we lucked out with our number placard to sit. I enjoyed my savannah salad and drinks are served at the counter. The staff brings you your food when they see your number on the table. They offer catering as well.
