This review is just for the salad bar and the ice cream machine. Salad bar - excellent. I wish we had Jason's Deli where I live, but don't. Whenever I travel and see a Jason's, I make a beeline there if I've got a hankering for salad. The salad items are super fresh, the crunchy vegis are crunchy and the salads, dips and other items are consistently good. I love the variety of salad dressings and the variety of crackers and muffins. The garlic chips are incredible. The staff here work really hard, including the person managing the salad bar and the folks bussing tables. The ice cream machine was out of chocolate at 1:00 pm on a Saturday, which was surprising. And the vanilla was slowly oozing clumps of vanilla out. That was disappointing. Point off for the ice cream machine and lack of urgency in addressing it. In terms of ambience, it's a typical Jason's. It's comfortable and well lit, but the tables are a bit close together and could make it difficult to maneuver when a number of people are moving to/from the salad bar at the same time. read more

We came here for an early dinner on a weekday . There were people already there but it got busier as time went on. I got the salad bar only. There was a good assortment of greens to choose from and everything was fresh. A good assortment of vegetables for toppings. Only tomatoes were the small ones and only the small carrots which are very difficult to cut with the butter knife given. There was a lady keeping the bar area clean and stocked. I tried the broccoli salad and it was good. I wasn't pleased with the potato salad. There is a good assortment of fountain drinks and brewed tea. There are muffins on the bar for desert and soft serve ice cream, chocolate, vanilla and mixed. Cones and small cups are available. I deducted a star because the tables were not cleaned often. When I sat down there were many dirty tables and they were not cleaned until I was ready to leave and by then there were even more dirty tables. I wanted a Reuben sandwich so I decided to go to Jason's Deli yesterday afternoon for a take-out. I haven't been in a long time to the one in Cary, NC but didn't realize how much the prices have gone up. The Reuben sandwich which did have a small bag of chips and a small pickle came to $15.14 with tax which is rather high to me. I normally don't pay that much just for mainly a sandwich. I know there's a good amount of meat but mine was not all that flavorful, if it had thousand island dressing I didn't taste it, only the meat. I actually have had better Reubens before. read more

I realize this is a franchise chain and it pains me to rate them 5 stars as such. Y'all hear me out though - There's a Pancanera, Red Hollerin, Carolina Woe House, ChickFaluck, Jersey Yikes and even a (previously reviewed) freak burger joint directly next door, along with many, many more places to roll the dice and possibly score a decent meal in this area. The food here at Jason's Deli is habitually far superior. I was clued into this place by mentioning broccoli & cheese soup and swiftly informed "Jason's Deli spanks them; Don't you know?" I didn't know. But I learned... And I am grateful I did. There were a couple of SNAFU's during The Rona with delivery but not enough to deter me as a fan, and definitely nothing to Karenize here on the interwebs. We all went through some feces then. Tonight though? Ugh. Listen... I'm tired, I'm crabby, I'm on my way home, my debit card expired at the end of the month and the new one is still in the mail; All I have is cash, gas and sass. So I called for take out. A very nice lady took my order over the phone then said "10 minutes." I showed up, bingo bango paid with genuine American currency all 2005 style, was out the door and subjected to the good good smells from a brown bag alllll the way home. The interaction I had was so swift and efficient I didn't catch her real name; She didn't catch mine but that doesn't matter - It's truly a family thing. Despite my whole serious but temporary wypepo problems, I was fed some great food by some fantastic people who, given the past couple years, have probably not received the kudos they deserve. At 8:20 on a weeknight the staff began cleaning the salad bar and put all of the containers out on tables where customers were walking around, serving themselves, and sitting within spitting distance of the food. The manager was filling to-go orders from these containers and grabbed croutons straight from the container to put on a salad. His hands were wearing the same gloves he had touched everything in the store with. I suppose spit guards and a refrigerated salad bar are only a good idea some of the time, not all of the time. While cleaning the salad bar was a priority, bussing tables was not a priority. Dirty plates were piled on vacant tables throughout the store such that there was no where to sit that was not surrounded by piles of filth. The young lady in a red shirt (I believe her name is Ann) behind the counter said the are not free with your meal anymore you have to pay $1 for four told them or get two free with a salad. The location is good, parking is great, decor and ambiance... well its Jason's Deli however, this place was rather dirty behind the counter. There was lots of pans and cooking instruments piled up on the far end of the counter. There was just lots of weird clutter behind the counter in the cooking, prep area. I stood at the counter for a couple minutes listening to (what seemed to be the manager) and an employee. They just kept right on talking while i'm standing there ready to order (awkward moment). After ordering my meal, i sat down like any patron would. After 22 minutes, my food finally arrived. Mind you all i ordered was a spinach wrap and chips with salsa. When the food arrived i was given someone else's hamburger chili lol. Its already been 22 minutes to make a salad in a wrap and now i get the wrong meal. Long tired story short, I will stick with the location in Brier Creek. They always have it together. Maybe i just caught this location on a rough night... We've waited a long time for this location to get its sanitation score together because low sanitation scores and raw vegetables don't mix. 7/17/2018 Came in around 9:40 after a rained out swim meet. The staff here were super friendly and accommodating. Did not make us feel unwelcome for coming in close to closing and assisted us with all of our additional needs. My son didn't like his Reuben. No problem at all. New one made! Hot soups (broccoli and cheddar and vegetarian tomato), fresh salad fixings and fresh toasted sandwiches were our fill ups. We were even able to get a gluten free PB & J for the distinguished 6 year old palette. We came in looking a cold mess; wet, tired, and HUNGRY! We left wet, tired, full and happy. I wanted a nice wrap after working out, so I decided to give Jason's Deli a try. When I walked in I was thrown off a bit when I was looking up for the menu, but the manager informed me that there were paper menus along the wall. I couldn't decide between the ranchero wrap and the club sandwich but the cashier suggested the wrap so I went with it. Once I placed my order they informed me to go to the other side to pick it up, which was a little different, but it was cool. It took about 5 minutes for my meal to be prepared. I was a little nervous when i saw how tiny the box was knowing that I ordered a wrap, so I was eager to see what it was like when I got home. Surprising enough, the wrap was good & filling. The jalapeños gave it an extra kick that I was not expecting but it was overall a good meal. I'm looking forward to trying Jason's deli again. read more

It's been awhile since I've visited a Jason's Deli. It was my go-to while I worked in Winston-Salem. This visit was good. Not "knock your socks off" like I remembered it being... maybe I had that feeling because I was pregnant and hungry at the time??? Nonetheless, I always find the salad bar at any Jason's Deli to be fresh. I love all the options for salad fixin's. The only thing that "irks" me is when people put the tong handles IN/ON/TOUCHING the food... ew. My daughter got a kids meal: grilled cheese and chips. It was reasonable too. I want to say it was $3 and change. She really enjoyed the free ice cream cone at the end. (Though I think it may be more "ice milk" instead of ice cream.) The gingerbread muffins are delish as well! This place was SLAMMED at lunch time. The line was nearly out the door. I was worried we wouldn't get a table but luckily there was a good flow of people both in AND out so tables were available. But when I got home and opened the box, all I saw was a piece of toasted bread, 3 avocado pieces with feta cheese sprinkled. Disappointed, I called the restaurant back and I was told that they ran out of guacamole and instead gave me avocado. I was at the restaurant when I placed the order and waited to pick it up and they did not tell me that they were out of guacamole. When I told the lady that if they had told me that before, I would have ordered something else. She was rude and said "Our guacamole is nothing but mushed avocados and we gave you the same amount of avocado." No offer to make another or sincerity in her apology. I shouldn't say this out loud but here my big mouth --can't keep self go...I love to eat in so I can get the free treat of the ice cream machine. It was so nice to see them being very careful with the social distancing and wearing of mask. All of the staff are very friendly. This location stays very busy. I like that there several options for everyone on the menu. I ordered the Rueben sandwich (which was tasty) and added the salad bar as my side. Although I ordered the "lighter version" I still got a full sandwich and baked chips on the plate. Needless to say after the salad I was only able to finish half the sandwich and just took the chips and other half home. I really enjoyed the salad bar and would order that alone in the future. I typically like Jason's Deli and its been some time since my last visit. However,​ it is amazing how a thriving business can turn sour quickly. First, the service lacks friendliness or a positive attitude. Jazz (the person that took our order) was quite rude and lacked people skills. Servers no longer bring your food to the table. Now there are pagers to let you​ know when your food is ready. Upon picking up our food it was slid to me in an unwelcoming manner. The food we recieved was bland, dry, and texturally​​ wasn't​ fresh. However,​ the entire experience was extrodinarily toxic feeling. There was no pride or energy to focus on ​food quality or customer experience. I am aware people have bad days. But this was a staff that all seemed to distribute unfavorable service and product. Upon leaving we took notice that the sanitation grade was a B. That may shed light about management and staffing problems. We won't​ be back to this location. read more

I'm a big fan of Jason's deli in general, so to give them one star is not the norm for me. This is the first bad Jason's experience I've had, out of all the locations I've been to. In short: 1) the To Go area of the store smells like a mix of moldy cheese/dirty dishwater. 2) when I mentioned the smell to the manager, she said "I don't smell anything" 3) to get two sandwiches to go it took 25 minutes- at 6 pm on a Sunday. No one else was in the To Go area. Service is slow. 4) the wrap I ordered had literally two pieces of turkey in it. Portions are not plentiful. 5) Sanitation rating is 87.5. Especially a franchise, they should have procedures/protocols in place to ensure that place is clean, all the time. Next time I'll pick any other food establishment over this Jason's location. This is not my favorite Jason's Deli location, I prefer Brier Creek or Spring Forest Road. But, I do love the food and the service is quick. 9 times out of 10 I order my usual, the Manager's Special with a cup of Broccoli Cheese soup, half of a Club Royale sandwich and regular chips.
