This was my go to place for salads at the mall. I have not been a over a year and it has really changed. My salad was $12.96 and inedible. I asked for cheese, did not realize there is a .99 cents upgrade charge for a few sprinkles. I got the BLT with honey mustard. This dressing is now really vinegary, vs sweet and honey, and they smother it in the salad. Bacon was burnt and really salty, really awful. Lettuce and tomato were very fresh but were smothered in that terrible dressing. Get it on the side. I ate 1/3rd and tossed it. Never again. read more

The person making my salad left out ingredients and then got nasty with me when I told her she had left them out. Then she let someone cut in front of me. I asked her if she was going to finish making my salad, because she skipped me and then walked away, leaving me standing there waiting for someone to finish making my salad. She told her coworker I was a B***h. When she rang me up, I asked for the owner's information. She said she didn't speak English. I told her she spoke it when she took my order and called me a B***h. She was like, "oh...." then told me she didn't know the information. I left and sat down to eat. I turned around and she was at the register taking pictures of me and recording me with my children while we were eating. Her coworker looked embarrassed for her awful attitude and treatment of me. If you're not happy and you know it, please don't glare at your customers and throw darts at them with your eyes while exhaling an obvious sigh and your shoulders drop and hands go to the hips, head tilts to the side at the suggestion that they want something to eat at your restaurant. Stopped Sunday after church for a quick meal before heading off to the studio. The person who was there was by himself and appeared to be having a bad day as he was opening the place up for buisness. First! Happy to be first for Crisp! This place is one of the biggest surprises of my life and a little upsetting all at the same time and here's why. So in for Christmas from California, my girlfriend and I went to Crabtree Valley Mall with my brother to finish up some last moment Christmas Shopping. Every vendor in the food court had a line that was wrapping around the large hall, intermixing and fusing into each other... every line except Crisp. Crisp was empty, niet, not a single soul save the workers and so for time and health sakes we walked up to the counter. My girlfriend made a remark about how sad it was that the only place in the whole food court not offering fried food was completely sans patronage and afterwards I had to agree. This was the upsetting part. They feature in hand-tossed salads and wraps, half and full sizes, and fresh ingredients that really are quite "crisp". Signature salads and signature wraps with the ability to build your own from a very liberal selection of items. We ordered the Black-and-Blue Salad because I love Black-and-Blue salads and one full was enough to feed two, very hungry shoppers. The steak was surprisingly good and the quality of the lettuce and vegetables was shockingly fantastic! I have easily paid upwards of $13 for the same salad of lesser quality at "finer" establishments. Crisp, I don't know if you franchise, but if you don't you really need to consider making it out West. Your health-conscious business model and high-quality ingredients would thrive in the food courts of California, Oregon, Idaho, Colorado and Washington. Kudos to you Crisp! I've been wondering if this was from the same chain as the Crisp in Charlotte but I don't believe it is. I'm always looking for a place to grab a salad fast and I've found very few places here in Raleigh besides heading to my local Harris Teeter or Whole Foods. My oh my how I wish someone would open a Crisp outside of the mall. For a healthy lunch or dinner option you can't beat it. You can order one of their salads on the menu or make your own. They will chop it all up and put it in a little plastic bowl for you to go. There are all kinds of amazing fresh options that I love. I know it's just a fast food joint in the mall but I wish they would open another stand alone location and cook the protein on your salad fresh like the one in Charlotte. They have other healthy menu options as well including wraps and soups. For under $10 you can munch on something other then a burger, sub, or pizza at the mall which is great. Not sure I would make the trek through the mall again just for a salad but if I'm at the mall this will definitely be my go to place for fast food. read more

Went here for lunch with a co-worker. We were wanting something on the healthier side so we decided to check out Crisp..after all it's a salad place. I went with the Santa Fe salad and she kind of created her own since she's a vegetarian. Neither of us were too impressed with the quality of the food. It was misleading a bit. Yes, Crisp is a salad place but it was far from healthy and not particularly fresh. My chicken was OK but didn't taste fresh, it was probably a day or more old and the lettuce wasn't the best selection either. I had a lot of yellow pieces of romaine. I asked them to throw in some mixed greens so I felt like I was getting a more nutritious lunch. Overall the taste was alright but I didn't feel like I was really getting a lunch worth $8. I was in Crabtree Valley Mall in Raleigh, NC today around 4:15 pm. I witnessed a foreign employee or owner or manager tell a black young lady to say please. She wanted to use her employee discount. He was very rude. So she advised him that she would just buy it without the discount. He told her NO. So he threw it away. She then asked for corporate's telephone number & he refused to give it to her. She went to another business to purchase food. He taunted her and called her back over to Crisp to tell her he'd go to her job (she had on her work shirt) and say something and act up etc. I was shocked. I wanted to eat there but after that, I refuse to spend my money there. I didn't hear him tell any other paying customer to say PLEASE. It was a simple 5 or 10% discount. I felt he was racist. I plan on reporting him to the mall as well. He went to the back, like he was hiding then. I asked for his name. The employee acted as if he didn't know it. He said, "MJ or something." Then he said it was hard to pronounce. Whoever the older man was in the dark grey shirt is, he's very immature & unprofessional regardless of him being an owner or manager. read more

I'm so confused how this place has rave reviews. Ordered a turkey club wrap and boyfriend got the black and blue salad. $19 and change for spinach that had turned brown with ground beef on top and a warmed up tortilla with soggy meat inside. You know the old school salad bar toppings at Ruby Tuesday with the little rectangles of chopped turkey and ham? That's the texture and consistency of the 'turkey' on my wrap. Am I the only one who has a hard time deciding where to eat at the mall food court? I highly doubt it. There are so many options... do I want Chinese, Italian, Mexican, Southwestern, Mediterranean, maybe just a smoothie? The food court at Crabtree Valley really seems to have anything you might be craving, but I find it hard to believe that Crisp wouldn't be a good lunch option no matter what your little taste buds desire! (And big thanks to Yelp, of course, for allowing me to notice this place!) I have no idea what the calorie counts are for their food, but everything tastes very fresh and healthy. The first time I came I ordered the chicken greek wrap and it was delicious. I didn't leave a trace of it even though I was full. The second time I went I was more in the mood for a salad, so I ordered the Niçoise. This salad includes a perfect blend of tuna salad, chic peas, feta cheese, kalamata olives, and artichoke hearts. This is a little bit different from a typical Niçoise you would order in, say, Paris, but it's very good nonetheless and lighter. I would suggest ordering the small size, even though it doesn't look that big, because the salads here are filling. Back home in Cali I used to always stop by Subway for a quick bite to eat for lunch... now I stop by Crisp regardless of whether I'm already at the mall or not because I love it so much! I love their BBQ chicken salad - when I can get it. If my review were just based on that, it would be 5 stars. Last time I went on a Saturday night around 7:45-7:50 (supposedly open until 8 pm), and the employees told me they were closed. Tonight I made sure to get there earlier - but as I walked up at 7:35, the girl turned out the lights and told me they were closed. All the other places in the food court were open and serving customers, but not them. Repeatedly disappointing customers by turning them away within your posted business hours isn't a great business model. I'm not sure I'll be going back. Crisp is my favorite spot to grab lunch at the Crabtree Mall food court. I usually order the chef salad with honey mustard dressing. My lunches have always been excellent. The prices are a little high, but that is to be expected considering the location. I certainly recommend Crisp. It's probably the healthiest meal you can get at the food court. read more
