Urban Olive -- love the designs on their storefront

I ordered the grilled chicken pita wrap. It was good although I think I will do a create-your-own-salad next time because I ended not eating the entire pita (or asking that they go light on the garlic sauce or put it on the side). Good service. Friendly staff. Nice place to dine casually with friends or colleagues because it is located in the Transfer Co. Food Hall which has a variety of dining options nearby.

Urban Olive is open in the space previously occupied by Mama Crow's in Transfer Co. Food Hall. I really enjoyed having a new option especially Mediterranean. I ordered the small chicken kabob platter, it comes with your choice of rice, 2 sides, pita and a dip. I chose the urban rice, kale salad and pasta salad for my sides and tzatziki for my dip. I also ordered a piece of pistachio baklava. It was all fresh and delicious.

Urban Olive is fantastic for takeout. We ordered online and ate at Burial next door to the Food Hall. It took about 15 minutes and was hot and ready on time. I thought the chicken kebab platter had excellent flavor and as accompaniments I had harissa hummus (creamy & nice spice), kale salad (a bit too vinegar forward unless you got a dried cranberry in the bite), and tzatziki dip (chunky & flavorful). The only component I didn't like was the urban rice-too much curry seasoning so next time I'll try the lentil version. All-in-all fantastic for takeaway!

Decent flavor but not much meat at all in the gyro. Expected a little more but it wasnt bad.

Such a great burger!!! It's been my go-to place in Raleigh whenever I want to grab a good burger…read more Quick service, and it's in the middle of a food hall (Transfer Co. Food Hall) so there's lots of space to sit. I'm never disappointed with the Reaper burger (if you like spice this is a great choice), and I love bringing friends here whenever I get the chance. Even spent a Valentine's Day dinner here, it was great.

I ordered the Superfree Burger, their vegan burger patty made of sweet potatoes, roasted mushrooms, walnuts and seeds; topped with avocado, tomato, mixed greens, onions, and a garlic-tahini dressing. Usually, I'm always excited to try a restaurant's vegan burger, but sad to say, their vegan burger was a bit underwhelming. I felt the patty was on the dry and crumbly side. I also ordered a Kid's Hot Dog meal for my child. The hot dog looked delish, but sadly, the hand-cut fries were soggy, greasy, and dark. I don't know what happened, but it wasn't appetizing. I should have asked the kitchen to make another batch for us. Mama Crow's had so much promise. I'd still come back to give it another try, but I'll order a burger next time.

When we went on a Friday at lunch it wasn't initially too crowded but quickly got busy at 12/12:30. You order at the counter. I grabbed chips and salsa, the El Diablo taco and Steak Al Cabron taco, and a soft drink. In total, I think was around $20. As I mentioned, the place got busy quick so it took a little bit to get our food out to us but no worries because we had our chips and drinks to enjoy. I found the tacos to be amazing and hefty. I am torn about paying $6 for a single taco. That being said, I would pay for these $6 tacos again. Definitely a fun little spot to grab lunch with friends. I would encourage you though to give yourself 1.5 - 2 hours in case you come during a busier time like we did.

I went for a half chicken with the rice, beans, and a side of corn. This also comes with your choice of flour or corn tortillas. I also got 3 tacos- chicken, steak, and shrimp. I had everything with flour tortillas. The total for all- which could've fed 2-3 people, was around $45. The quality of the food was AMAZING. The steak and chicken tacos were sooo juicy and good that I've been wanting to go back just to get it again. If you try any taco, get the steak. There is also a salsa bar, and the first greenish/white sauce (cilantro crema?) was so good on everything so don't forget to grab a cup or 2. I later had the chicken with rice, beans, and corn and was extremely satisfied. I probably won't eat at another chicken spot other than this now. In addition to great food and good service- the restaurant is so pretty and modern inside. It was surprisingly empty and had so much seating inside and outside.
