The Brick House is a good choice to eat. The prices are reasonable and the food is ok. It is nothing fancy. I went with the fish and chips and it reminded me of the frozen pieces. The fries were really good and the portions generous. I wouldn't order the dish again. Service was good and attentive. The restaurant is a good size and Royal Mall has underground parking and a lot. This is the place if you want to watch sports on tv or play pool. They do have outdoor seating and at least some of it is covered but people were smoking there so that was not going to work for us. But it would be great outdoor seating is smoke free.

The only positive aspect of this dining experience was jokingly singing Brickhouse and the Nc State wolf statues in the front lobby. Otherwise, incredibly disappointing. We started with fried pickles. They were mediocre at best. Very breaded and not crispy at all. My friend and I both got the ultimate grilled cheese. And if by ultimate, they meant ultimately disappointing then sure.... Because this looked like a child made it. No cheese pull. It was dry as a bone. My friends didn't come with the tomato slice as described in the menu. I ended up pulling it apart and eating the bacon separately and eating the cheesiest side of bread as toast. My aunt got the yellowfin tuna wrap and thought it was rather uneventful and flavorless. She said the only flavor it had was from the wasabi and everything else was bland. Only 1/4 of us were not disappointed as she got Cajun dry rub wings and she was satisfied. I did enjoy the pasta salad and my friend enjoyed her chicken n dumplings soup.

I wrote before! Not sure why it went away... ugh This is a great sports bar! Met up with some friends and they chose to be outdoors. It is pet friendly. Some cute dogs showed up. We all had beers. I went with a local "first squeeze" and it was delicious. The one bartender whom I've seen before is cool. Great decor! Except for the Patriots stuff...

Ate at Brickhouse on two occasions in the past week and had good meals both times. Burgers cooked as I asked, wonderful staff able to work a party of 12 of us or simply 2 friends meeting up for lunch again with the same ammount of attention. Enjoyed my time and the food there and great for sports nights or tailgating before a Canes or Wolfpack game.

Loved this place. Came here with an old friend. We wanted somewhere without the pretentiousness of Glenwood South. Chicken fingers and karaoke on point.

They have drink specials every night, and I took advantage of several High Lifes. It was almost like I was living in the midwest again. I started with garlic parmesan wings. The menu said 6, but I got 8, all drums, which I had no problem with at all! Bleu cheese or ranch are added for free. One of the bigger wings had a little bit of pink though, that's not great. Then I had a Usinger's brat with peppers, onions on a toasted roll with a side of spicy mustard. Just 9 bucks. For my side, I got super thick onion rings with some horseradish sauce. Well worth the extra $2.75! The bartenders kept my water glass full. Even though the bar was quite packed, they seemed to do a very good job of keeping everything organized. For my boxes, I selected the Tobacco Road Club and the turkey sandwich. Neither sandwich arrived dressed (pesto mayo, honey mustard), nor did they put dressings on the side. To be clear, absolutely no one in my group received dressed sandwiches. Fortunately, we found some ranch in the office fridge to share, but even still, the club had no cheese so it was essentially just floppy, sad meats with white bread, and the turkey could not have been more bland if they tried. The side salads that came with them were mediocre at best, and the dressing was not great, either. Literally the only good thing I can say is that the chocolate chip cookies were tasty. I have to wonder if they even make those in house. I was not the one to place the order and I'm glad there was no money out of my pocket, but geesh, if they're going to offer boxed lunches, they could try to be a touch more inventive. Perhaps their other food or their ambiance is good, but I'll never know because you couldn't pay me to try them again after that sad food day.

Today the person taking my order was incredibly serious, and when I went to place my order I seemed to be interrupting his other work which was more important. Anytime I came up asking for anything, it seemed like I was inconveniencing him even more and pulling him away from lots of other more important things. Which made me feel bad that I was interrupting, but also made me realize that I shouldn't have to be made to feel like I'm interrupting in the first place. And if a place I swear by and sing the praises of to everyone I come in contact with doesn't want me or my business, then I don't have to come here again or give them the business. My pizza was eh compared to other times and the sandwich I ordered wasn't necessarily bad, but it lacked kick and flavor for being buffalo chicken. Potato salad was odd tasting. Probably because I don't eat bacon and it was heavy with bacon and bacon grease/flavor. That's all I could taste. I would have gone back to get something else instead, but with the unfriendly you're wasting my time service, I just threw the salad away. The lady who served my drink was nice enough. Ruckus as a chain or its management may not care as long as they keep making money, but you just lost a loyal customer and you're likely to lose more loyal customers if you alienate them with lackluster attitude and service. From the looks and reactions of the person who took my order and brought it to my table, you alreally don't seem to care much. At these prices, and with the general disposition of the person who took my order and delivered it to me (thank you for going to the trouble and parting with the other tasks you seemed so miserable and unhappy doing), I'll spend my money and get MORE that looks and tastes better by people who want the business more and are willing to treat their customers accordingly somewhere else. It's sad and a huge disappointment to part ways with this Ruckus location I have loved and sworn by unfortunately, but it's just not worth it.

It sounded hearty and perfect for a cold January day, so I ordered it. The Shrimp and Grits dish consists of shrimp and andouille sausage in a low country gravy over creamy grits. Coupled with the Lowcountry gravy, the shrimp, andouille, and creamy grits came together beautifully, making this a deeply satisfying dish, full of Southern soul.
