Twisted Ribs

I've only been here a couple of times but these Twisted Ribs and the excellent service here will keep me coming back! Very cool laid back sports bar setting. Friendly service and fresh cooked food. I've also had the My Way Cajun Chicken pasta and it is also delicious!

Excellent bar food and service. The wings and chilli great. With many T V 's it's a great place to watch sporting events.

Wings, half raspberry chipotle, half spicy asian

Great sports bar! Visited on a Sunday during NFL time and there were plenty of TV's and tons of staff working. Split the pretzel bites to start which came with beer cheese and mustard, they were super good. For my main, I got the 1lb of wings which came with 8, half spicy asian, half raspberry chipotle ($14), and added a size of fries ($4). $18 is a little expensive for 8 wings and fries, but they were very good! Enjoyed both sauce flavors. Plenty of beer and liquor choices! Definitely would return

My Way Tavern has became one of my favorite restaurants to watch the games at. The service has been top notch for my 3 visits. The waitstaff was extremely friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu and drink selections. The wings are amazing. The bartender recommended the dry rub lemon pepper which isn't on the menu and they were really good. I also had the fried shrimp tossed in raspberry Chipotle sauce was excellent. My Way Tavern is a must-visit if you're looking for a fantastic sports bar in Raleigh. Great food, excellent service, and an awesome atmosphere.

Good sports bar to grab some good and well priced food in downtown, but off Glenwood. This restaurant is close to Glenwood, but one of the streets behind the main street so it's away from some of the crowding and craziness of the area. I've been twice and I enjoyed both visits. The restaurant has a small parking lot, but watch the signs because the parking lot is also shared with surrounding businesses. Although the lot is small, there is plenty of street parking all around. The menu is most of your typical bar foods, but also a wide variety of other cool goods. I love how they put a twist on some of the typical bar foods. One things this place is known for is their Mac & Cheeses. They have quite a few cool options and combos for the mac & cheese. The portions are big! I appreciate big portions for my money. On my most recent visit I ordered the Hawaiian salad and it was delicious! The flavors were good and the complemented each other well. There's a large variety of beers and you can taste them. The service is good. You seat yourself which allows for any staff member to be able to assist you. They are all helpful and willing to bring you what you need or provide assistance. Definitely recommend if you are in the area and want to get off the main street of Glenwood.

The burgers and hot dogs were great! I took a chance on the Barnyard Burger and was not disappointed. Great place to watch the game too with plenty of TVs and different channels on. Service was good overall. Different people came by to check on us, but not overly attentive.

On Mondays their drink special is $5 for any draft, what a steal! We all enjoyed a drink and a few games. I love the decor and vibes in Boxcar, the artwork is really punk and cool looking. My favorite game, The Lucky Duck, was broken (the claw wouldn't extend far enough to reach any ducks). I reported this to a staff member and she let me pick out any 2 ducks I wanted! The Pokemon pinball was fun too, I love the variety of pinball machines.

Tokens are reasonably priced and older style arcade games only take 1- the more interactive or multi player games (think air hockey, basketball, dance dance etc) take 4. They have free popcorn, daily drink specials, and drinks were very reasonably priced. Despite being fairly busy, service at the bar was friendly and fast- I was impressed! Not much else for food here from what I can tell, so don't plan on having your meal here. I brought two teenage boys and we hung out for almost 2 hours- I think I spent about 40 bucks including tokens and a couple of drinks for myself. I really liked the street art vibe, especially all of the murals and the Instagram wall. They've done a great job with ambiance! The outdoor patio adds a lot of additional chill space. When we were there they didn't have a band playing, but I think they do often. I almost want to give it 5 stars, but several of the games were not working properly and ate our tokens. That say you can grab someone to fix them, but nobody appeared available, and I wouldn't have wanted to bother them multiple times anyhow... Would be great if they were proactively checking and fixing them. More snacks would be great too! Other than that it was a really great experience, I would definitely go back.

Wow! I said I'd come back but I didn't realize it had been 8 years!…read more My husband Dan H and I had a great lunch with some friends today. We all shared an order of fries for the table, which were amazing. Then I got the grain bowl with shrimp, and everything was perfectly prepared and delicious. My husband enjoyed his biscuits and gravy with fried chicken- so tender and decedent. Our friends enjoyed their meal, too, and enjoyed the apple custard for dessert. The mocktails were also delicious- I loved one with hibiscus and ginger. So nice to have a bunch of mocktail options! The ambiance was just as great as it was 8 years ago- spacious and light. The server was great, and let us linger for a few hours without hovering. Hope to be back sooner than another 8 years from now!

Seriously, if you can't find a pour you like here, you may just need water instead. Started with the biscuits topped with crackling and house-made preserves, and honestly, that combo alone made me question why I don't eat more biscuits in life. Sweet, salty, buttery chaos in the best way. For the main, I went with the pork chop and greens. The chop leaned a little overcooked for me personally, but the sauce helped bring things back together and added good flavor. The greens had a nice little kick of heat, but I kept waiting for that deep smoky ham hock flavor to show up like an old Southern grandma entering the kitchen... and it never quite arrived. Overall though? Still a solid meal, strong whiskey program, cool atmosphere, and definitely worth checking out if you're in Raleigh looking for a bourbon-forward dinner spot. Travelin_Broke approved with a slight side-eye from the greens.

I stopped in just a they were opening on a Friday and thank goodness I showed up when I did, this place gets packed quick and you should book a reservation to be on the safe side. I was most excited about the duck egg rolls but ended up being my least favorite not because they were slightly on the dry side. Flavor was good, and the hoisin honey sauce really helped! The seafood dumplings were second best, stuffed full. The soup based was amazing and it also came with some bread for dipping in the leftover sauce. The pork and chive shumai were my favorite! A little bit bigger than bit sized but worth the mouth full! Absolutely would recommend. I'll 100% be back for more food. The bar side looked to be more casual, the dinning room was full of high tea attire so I did feel a little under dressed, thought it would be slightly more casual. They have the cutest library with free books to read but only while you dine in. The flower and book shop are in the middle of the space. Super cute, limited options but great for a last minute bouquet!

Beignets, beignets, beignets!…read more This place is perfect for a girls night, date night, friends night, solo night... honestly any night! I came here for drinks and dessert with friends, and the star of the show was definitely the beignets. As someone who has visited New Orleans and tried the real deal, I thought I knew what good beignets tasted like. Turns out, I did not have to travel that far after all! Her recommendations for pairing the drinks with the food were flawless, and each drink was prepared like a work of art. I started with the raw oysters, paired with a glass of Rose, which I loved. They switched from the Halibut with Fennel to Mahi with Forbidden Rice. The rice is black and inky and potent and extraordinary, but it overwhelmed the fish completely. Still greatful I got to experience it, but I would pair it with something more gamy like lamb or goat. The Pecan pie with warm salted caramel ice cream was nothing short of a spiritual experience, and Hayley's recommendation to pair it with Rum Flip was perfect. Yes, I Ubered. Overall, this one is going to be a frequent hangout.
