I am VERY late to Sassool but very happy I discovered it anyways. The combinations here are endless and the prices are extremely good for the amount of food you get. Everything is healthy, fresh, and delicious and I'm sure anybody would enjoy at least one item from here. The restaurant is big with a lot of seating and the food comes out quick. There's so many combinations of sides, meats, and pitas/shawarmas. There is also a mini shop where you can buy international foods, snacks, and drinks. The plates here are always super filling and satisfying. I usually get a sides plate and a kabab dish which comes with 2 more sides plus rice and a garlic dip. Some of my favorite dishes/sides so far have been the beef/chicken kebab, vegetable lasagna, fava bean salad, black bean salad, chicken salad, mjadarah, and batatta harra (potatoes in whipped garlic). ALL of those have been 10/10 and I could probably eat a plate from here every day. I can't wait to come back to try the shawarma and shawarma pizzas!

Line out the door when I went and the staff worked hard to get the food out quickly. The food is always excellent and the service is always top notch. I highly recommend this place. The steak kabobs are amazing and all the side options are the best. I love their hummus and sauces as well. The ambiance is nice and you order from the cashier then get delivered your food.

We've come here quite a few times and I think their food has been consistent if not better! It's deli style ordering, where you stand in line look at the options visually (sides, some pre cooked entrees desserts and beverages) order pay at the end of the line where they give you a number and then seat yourself there is indoor seating as well as some outdoor patio seating as well. After which the food is delivered to you shortly ! There's also a market on the side with a refrigerated section and couple aisles of items. I feel super overwhelmed with the number of options, but through multiple visits we've been able to try different options. One thing I really like is the crispy, hot and light pita bread that's served with the orders! Some of the things we've tried and loved has been the pizettes - shawarma & mushroom onion; different skewers -chicken/ beef kefta kabobs; falafels, sides- makloube, quinoa salad, couscous, baba ganoush, quinoa tabouli, mjadarah, and so on! A great place to hit all the macros needed for a balanced meal.

Sassool is still consistently one of my favorite restaurants in the Triangle area. Their food always has great quality ingredients. It's a healthy comfort food meal! 100% recommended.

Sassool has catered two events I have attended in the Triangle and the food was incredible. I took my family an hour and a half from Greensboro to the Cary, NC location and oh my goodness it was worth it! Even driving through scary thunderstorms. Sassool is Lebanese Mediterranean. I've only had green Mediterranean prior to now and Lebanese is next level! The cilantro hummus is everything!!!! And it came with four fresh pitas! The grape leaves were so good and the chicken kabob was so good. I got the walnut baklava which was good. The prices are so reasonable! Also there is a Lebanese market with all sorts of amazing options. We had an incredible experience and will absolutely be back the next time we are in Cary or maybe even take another special trip there!

Two of us came here for an early dinner , 5:15, and I sure am glad we came early. Even during the week, this place is packed for dinner. We were greeted and our orders taken quickly. The tables were clean and we had no problem finding a place to sit. I tried two new salads, and I loved both. The carrot and beet salad and the super salad. I will get both of them again. Tea is always good and fresh and I enjoy the fresh free pita as well. Still my favorite middle eastern place in Cary. I would eat here every day if I could!

This place is a little over hyped and there are some much better Mediterranean places in the area. I tried it and it was good but I don't think I would be back.

This place is awesome!!! You think is going to be a small little strip mall kind of place but when you walk in, it's actually huge! There's a lot of space to dine in in several separate areas. It gives Mediterranean vibes in side(which is firing for a Mediterranean place, lol). There's green and go type items like a little shop and then there's an ordering area where you let them know of you'd like anything from the grill and then there's about 20 or more sides to choose from...alllll delish and freshly made. The sides range from about $4 and up for an 8oz and then go up from there. They have daily specials and kids meal options. I tend to have to do a lot of catering type meetings with clients and this has been my go-to the last few times. They have options for all Diatary needs. I plan on using them for most meetings from now on. They're easy to work with, do things quickly, and are very friendly!

A nice spot to grab a filling plate of food. I was surprised by the chicken shwarma as it had walnuts and other veggies mixed in, but it was nice! I thought the birdsnest baklava was outstanding, and so was the service. Would recommend!

I love this place! There's always different options (weekly specials), and the food is SO flavorful and authentic. A great price point too and free pita bread. The portions are also super generous! It's right next to a Trader Joe's which is perfect for running errands after. A family favorite, we always feel full, but also healthy, after eating here!

Sassool is a family favorite and they have the best fresh salads and healthy options in a cafeteria type setting. You can order in person and get a number or order online. They have different daily specials and the salmon is very popular on the weekend. We get the platter with chicken kabobs and add two sides. It is always hard to pick just two. They also have a little market with spices, rice, beans etc. they make the pita fresh in the oven and you can see it as you walk in. The staff is always friendly . I would also check out their Instagram page because they do dinners at their Fig Mint Farm and also provide catering.

Hopping on a Friday night with a line wrapping the front end of the store. With so many selections to choose from it was hard to choose. The speed was great and the opportunity to dine in this space was comfortable. Excited to come back

Pick-4 Sampler always on point.

Neomonde Mediterranean - Morrisville

Neomonde is my instant pick for people who want to know what to eat around here in Morrisville…read more This restaurant is suitable for a business lunch, a decent dinner, and even if you know nothing about a person's particular palate, there will be something on this menu to satisfy. There are so many ways you can go with Neomonde's selection. They have a cold and hot bar selection where you can pick and choose things that you want right in front of you. They also have an a la carte menu where they make your food to order. And lastly, they have a small market of pita bread and other Mediterranean items that you can take home with you. The options themselves are plentiful. There are so many different types of dips, salads, wraps, kabobs, shwarmas, you name it! You're going to want it all once you step in and see the selection. My assessment of the food is that items are comforting, familiar, and easy going. They make a good hummus and baba ganoush, and I really enjoy the cold veggie salads. I also think their kabobs are great. The reason I think the food is easy going is because a lot of items are on the blander side of things, which is good for most, but I tend to prefer heavy seasoning. Their tzatziki is an example of something that could use an extra ingredient, and I recently had a special stewed chicken dish with cream in it that really lacked seasoning. It was a rustic dish for sure, but was in line with the restaurant over, mild flavors. Neomonde really does all the right things to make itself a viable option for all. The environment is casual, options are a bounty, prices aren't too bad and the food is made for anyone with any restrictions. If you haven't given this place a try, I make this recommendation to you - and then you can soon recommend to others.

Excellent choice for Mediterranean cuisine in Morrisville. The high quality dishes are nutritious…read moreand flavorful. The employees are friendly and efficient. We dined in and ordered at the counter. Honestly I could have read the menu more carefully as I found the ordering a bit confusing. The employees patiently answered my questions and retrieved the items I forgot to pick up before sitting down (like the baklava and side of tzatziki). I chose the pita pocket platter that comes with 2 sides and baklava. I was not sure what comes on the pita. I think you pick a protein? I chose the falafel and loved it. I returned to the counter for extra tzatziki, which accompanied the falafel well. For the sides I picked the kale salad and quinoa tabbouleh. Both I enjoyed. The kale salad does have a strong vinegar/acidic taste to it if you like that. The portions of each item were perfect. I finished off the meal with Ashta with pistachio ($6). I absolutely loved the Ashta. It is strong in rose flavor, which I had hoped for. The desserts are provided at the counter when you pay, while the main entree and sides are brought out to your table. I only wish the menu was a little clearer on the options. Like I mentioned before, this could have been just me and my family that found it confusing. Overall, we had a positive experience here and recommend this restaurant to others!

Small and very clean, almost hole in the wall kind of place in an old shopping center in a…read moreresidential neighborhood. Arabic music playing. Service is very friendly, and as quick as possible, considering that stuff seems to be made to order. I ordered a chicken kebab platter which comes over a bed of basmati rice, possibly with saffron. Whatever the rice tasted great and it wasn't dry like at a lot of places. The chicken was marinated in a tangy yogurt-spice mix, grilled and topped with a tahini sauce. Delicious! As sides I got mujadara and roasted vegetables which were also tasty. I'll be back for takeout for sure in the future.

"Bodega-like Mediterranean Grill & Grocery in Parkwood area of Durham"…read more This place is WAY off the beaten path for most, but I'm so happy to have gotten to try it out. Nestled in a little strip between a Muslim school and a mosque is this grill and grocery. We came on a Wednesday evening, and almost every table was already taken by diners. You order your food at a counter, and it has the Middle Eastern foods you'd expect-- kofta, shawarma, gyros, falafel, baba ghanouj, hummus, baklava, etc. I opted for the lamb gyro sandwich with a side of baba ghanouj, and my dining partner had the falafel sandwich. They call your number when it's ready. Food took maybe 10 minutes to receive, so we browsed the market area. It's not a huge selection, but very traditional-- nice seeing so many labels in Arabic, and along with standards (e.g., canned fava beans for Ful Medames), they also had things like frozen chopped mulukhiyah leaves-- that's definitely a rarer sight. Lots of good spices too. The food was EXCELLENT. The lamb was juicy and perfect (unlike what another Yelp review said), the tzatziki sauce was delicious, and the baba ghanouj was perfectly cooked and textured. I had a small bite of the falafel, and it was indeed one of the best I've had in the US. Price was fair, too-- the sandwiches are all under $10 before tax and tip, and making it a combo with side and drink cost just something like $2.50. And service was friendly-- although they called out numbers, they did walk out with the food to try to find and bring you your dishes. And while it was an older space, it was overall still generally clean. Overall, I'd VERY happily come back.

Kebab Skewer - Chicken Schwarma is awesome!! We love the garlic sauce and always get extra!!

This spot is solid. If you're looking for food that's delicious, fresh, and won't make you question…read moreyour life choices afterward, this is the place. The quality and portions are excellent--no skimpy skewers, no mystery meat. It genuinely reminds me of the Persian and Afghani kebab shops in Northern Virginia that know their way around a charcoal grill. Everything tastes clean, well-seasoned, and cooked with intention. A couple of small suggestions (because nothing is perfect): I'd love to see a wider variety of sauces for the kebabs, and personally, I'd prefer a larger piece of taftoon bread instead of the pita slices. That said--credit where it's due--the pita tastes fresh and not like it was pulled straight from a plastic bag, which already puts them ahead of most places. Bottom line: this is the best kebab spot I've found in the area, hands down. Highly recommend--and yes, I'll absolutely be back.

After enjoying Baba Ghannouj Mediterranean Bistro in Cary last week, my girl & I decided to explore…read moreanother kebab/gyro restaurant in Cary, so we went to Kebab Skewer & dined in on a Saturday night. This is located close to Milklab, which I also reviewed here on Yelp. My girl ordered a gyro wrap, then the young adult cashier asked if we wanted to add fries & drink for additional $3+. She asked if she can swap the fries for another side: baba ghannouj, our favorite Mediterranean side dish, and the cashier said she can. The menu overhead is clear, so we didn't have trouble deciding what to order. I ordered the Kebab Platter - Double Skewer that comes with salad, rice, a tiny cup of tzatziki, a tiny cup of salad dressing, and pita bread. Platter costs $15.99 + additional $1.99 because I chose lamb kebab. We also ordered the 4-piece falafel & a lamb kofta skewer. Total cost was about $50+. As always, we tried each other's foods, split the falafel & lamb kofta. The lamb gyro wrap was delicious with fresh meat, lettuce, tomatoes, and tzatziki sauce. The few bites I had of the gyro were pure bliss; part of me wish I ordered a gyro wrap too, but I wanted us to have different orders. The baba ghannouj that came with her gyro was excellent unlike what we tried from Baba Ghannouj Mediterranean Bistro (BGM Bistro). The texture of the mashed eggplant and mix of spices were perfect, and the amount was good enough for the 2 of us to share. I also enjoyed my double skewer lamb kebab platter. The salad was fresh, the basmati rice wasn't as sopisticated as other spiced varieties but it went well with the lamb kebab, fresh from the grill. However, for an $18+ meal, wish it included another small side like baba ghannouj. BGM Bistro's platters let you choose 2 sides along with the rice and salad for about the same price, so you get more value there but the baba ghannouj tastes better here. Falafel is a good-tasting side, about the same quality as BGM Bistro's. It comes with tahini sauce. The lamb kofta skewer, which looks like a sausage, was well-spiced and went well with tzatziki. Our orders were served in less than 12 min, and we had to pick up our trays at the front when they were ready instead of bringing to our table. It looks like this is the kind of place that's better for take out than dine in as the ambiance isn't inviting. There was one area where the floor was left uncleaned and the dull illumination of the fluorescent lights inside doesn't make this restaurant ideal for a romantic date. We were somewhat satisfied with our dinner with the gyro and baba ghannouj being the highlights. Lamb kebab & lamb kofta tasted good but I don't think the whole platter is worth $18+. We might alternate BGM Bistro & this as each has their own pros & cons. Or we might explore another we haven't tried before.
