My friends and I came across clean eats while looking for a light bite to eat. The variety of options made it a good choice for a group. Clean eatz is very health-cautious - hence the name. The food thus lacked flavor, and the meals aren't anything you can't make a home at a lower cost. But it is a good and convenient option if you're out and about. The staff were friendly and helpful when it came to recommendations.

The concept is great; grab some healthy pre-made meals for the week. However, I wasn't a fan of the food. I stopped by after the gym and picked up four frozen pre-made meals. There were options for weight loss meals, maintenance, or muscle building. I opted for the weight loss meals. These meals didn't taste good or microwave well. The food just turned out soggy and the meat and fish were over-cooked and chewy. I might try Clean Eatz again and get fresh ordered menu items, but I won't be getting the frozen meals again. I was also ignored for a bit when trying to check out with the frozen items. The cashiers were working on a meal order so I waited patiently for my turn and wasn't really greeted in any way. When they were done, I had to ask if I could pay for my items and they kinda made me feel like I was an inconvenience. The price also seemed a bit high for the quality. Overall, not impressed by the frozen entrees, but I would go back to try the freshly-made meals.

Went here on a whim for a lunch bite. Thoroughly impressed. Bang bang shrimp wrap, the Grecian wrap (beef!), chicken pesto wrap, and a chicken salad bowl were all filled with- you guessed it- clean healthy ingredients that were hearty and tasty! You get a drink and one side with most of meals, for an appropriate price (under $10!). The bang bang shrimp was not at all spicy and had a sweet chili sauce in it. Their daily side of tomato cucumber salad was delightfully feta cheesy and balsamicy. Their homemade peanut butter is almost sinful (in the peanut butter and apples side). There were some vegetarian and gluten free options, as well as smoothies and heaps of grab and go fridge meals which were various and appealing. I'll be back to try the latter two, for sure.

Coolest thing about this place is that I t has cool meal preps that you can pre-order that have a bunch of nutrients and vitamins and even helps having a breakdown of what is in there. Super helpful for those wanting to change their eating habits or that new diet kick you have been wanting to try. Also gives you the amount of calories in each sandwich/burger/salad. This place can definitely help you keep track better. Also if you are in a rush and can't sit down to eat they have a freezer of stuff you can just pick up and pay for at the register. I ordered the portabella eggplant sandwich which was good but I think could have used some sauce or some other flavoring to help it. I wish I had ordered some of the peanut sauce on the side that my friend had.I really want to try one of their burgers next time though. The staff was also super friendly and patient but also helpful with suggestions and really helped my vegan friend. Vegetarian and vegan friendly because you can mix together your own bowl. Don't worry meat lovers they also serve burgers and sandwiches. One thing I really enjoyed seeing was a sign that said "you don't have to eat less, you just have to eat right."

So this is the start of my second week and I couldn't be happier. From the moment I walked in and wasn't sure what to order they pulled me to the side and answered all of my questions and went out of their way to explain the diversity of their menu. Week 1 food...outstandingly! The standard portions were more than enough to eat. The macros really fit what I'm trying to do with my diet. Week 2 food...Day one was awesome and the chicken bowl on day two was even better. Price is very reasonable for the quality of the food. Looking forward to making this my long term lunch solution for my workweek on the go meals. Thanks so much!!!!

I tried this restaurant for lunch one day, as I was looking for a healthy option. The location was a little hard to find, as Google didn't bring me to the right place at first (it's on the side of the main Plaza building). I got a chicken bowl and customized my added toppings. It wasn't bad, but it was very plain and lacked good seasoning. I drowned it in the cilantro lime dressing and then even put Sriracha on it to give it some flavor. It seemed to be popular for their frozen meals, so maybe that's where it's at here. I wasn't necessarily impressed, but I can see how it would be convenient to opt into their meal plan options or grab something on the go.

For the most part I would say I really like coming here for lunch. It does have some areas that could be improved though. First, you walk in and the drinks and where you order are all right there crammed together. They should move the drinks to the other end of the restaurant so it's not so congested when walking in. Second, they don't tell you what the daily side item is (at least I've never seen it), I've always had to ask what it is. And third, sometimes they put way too much sauce on the wraps, so much so that you can't really taste anything else. But I do feel like the food here is better quality than fast food, and it doens't cost much more and doesn't take much longer than fast food. It's certainly the better option.

Fajita wrap (I asked for guacamole on it too)
Katie V.

Enjoyed a chicken fajita wrap with some added guacamole. There's a sweet tasting sauce on the wrap, which I would likely ask them to omit next time, but it was still very good and very filling (took 1/2 of my lunch to go). Very friendly, personable service from everyone. I liked the water stations with a variety of choices of plain, fruit or cucumber water and some lemonade too. Will definitely be back and was excited to hear they're also going to get another Clean Eats in Cary, NC soon too!

I have mixed feelings about this place. On the one hand I think the prices are fair and you get a healthy meal. On the other hand I'm not totally on board with the anti-body positive messaging of the place. There are signs everywhere talking about how many calories are in a pound, and suggesting that you go to the gym. Not only that, but for a place that totes clean eating they have an awful lot of artificial ingredients in some of their items - specifically their smoothies. I saw a lot of sugar-free chocolate syrup mentioned, as well as protein powders which I'm not totally on board with. Also, the very notion that you're "eating clean" by coming here implies that there's something wrong, or "dirty" about other restaurants. I don't think salt is the devil. I also don't think bacon is the devil. I should probably stop digressing and just get into my experience... I went with my mom one Saturday afternoon when the wait at Relish was too long and we just wanted a quick, healthy bite. I ordered the "watch your waist" wrap which is supposed to be chicken, guacamole, red onions, spinach, cheese, and tzatziki sauce. My mom got the "Boston mas queso" which was supposed to be chicken, peppers, onions, mozzarella, and jerk sauce served as a quesadilla. Both of us felt like we were eating 90% chicken, 10% raw red onion. Not bad, but you definitely couldn't taste the cheese, guacamole, etc. I guess that's how they keep their calorie counts so low. I got a side of barbecue chickpeas (the daily side special) and they would have been a lot better if they'd been baked or warmed or something- instead is was literally like they'd rinsed a can of chickpeas and thrown them in barbecue sauce- with some more red onion, of course. I tried adding some of their house-made seasoning powder to my chicken to spice it up. Then I tried sriracha. Then I grabbed the extra tzatziki sauce that my mom had been given with her side of veggies and just started putting that on top. It certainly wasn't bad, but just a little bland. I'd say it was my fault for ordering what I did, but the fact that my mom's tasted very similar to mine, while advertised very differently, doesn't give me much hope. We left feeling good, very energized due to the protein. I can see how people might like their prepared meals. If someone was new to healthy eating and wanted a bit of convenience factor this place is great. I bet they're changing a lot of lives. But for someone like me (who enjoys lunch at Happy & Hale just as much as lunch at Rise) I'm not sure I'd visit again. Parking was no problem, service was very friendly. No issues except the food wasn't really for me.

Watch your Waist Wrap with black bean pineapple side. Good stuff!

Great food which happens to be healthful. Don't let the healthful eating dissuade you from giving this place a chance. I rarely eat healthful options (check my reviews) and my taste buds were pleasantly surprised. The meal options are ridiculously affordable at $6.50 each. First time here and we left with some meals to try before we go "all in" on the meal plan. Meal plans can be tailored to desired goals (low carb, building mass, etc). I'm just interested to not have to cook and still have a freshly prepared meal. I had a turkey chili burger which was moist form edge to center and the Missus had a "Watch Your Waist" wrap which was flavor packed (chicken, guacamole, red onions, cheese, and tzaziki sauce). Owner is extremely affable and expresses a clear love for what he's doing as well as a precise vision for the future of this business. It's refreshing to see things like this "making it" in the community. Was discussing overhead from a personnel perspective of producing meals like this and he explained that they have up to 10 people on staff doing prep, cooking and assembly. Keep that in mind when you walk in the door and you'll realize how much work goes into making delicious, healthful options affordable.

Really good and quick healthy choices. I also enjoyed meals from their frozen section. Great meal prepping for a long work week.

The protein bowl comes with a habanero dressing and I don't like spicy quite as much as he does so I changed to tomatillo vinaigrette. It was absolutely delicious! Big portion, tremendous flavor and so filling with all the protein. The goat cheese was a really nice touch. I'll definitely order this again. Counter service was quick and there is plenty of covered outside seating. Definitely recommend for a quick and healthy lunch.

There are tables located inside and outside of the business to dine in after you order your food. When I entered the business I was greeted & asked if I was picking up a to-go order. After viewing the menu I chose to create my own bowl. All of the ingredients are already prepared and chosen as you walk along the display of food and toppings. I got jasmine rice as my base and added herb roasted chicken, hot black beans, corn, tomatoes, feta cheese, pico, tortilla crunch with the avocado cilantro dressing. The ingredients tasted fresh and I got large pieces of chicken. The bowl was filling. The beans were low in quantity when the server was preparing my bowl but instead of changing out the container the clerk drained the juice off the beans to fill my bowl. I asked for a cup of water and was charged 50 cents for it. I was also charged $1.00 for cheese. I don't mind paying for the items but I feel like I should be told that there is a charge for these items.
