The waiters were very attentive to us even though it was busy that night. We had our drinks refilled multiple times without even needing to ask. The restaurant itself has a classic old-school diner feel: order at the counter, grab a fountain drink or a fun bottled soda (there is MUCH more than root beer), and they'll bring your food out to you. There are bottle cap openers mounted on the walls, crates for empties by the trash cans, covered outdoor seating, and prices that are refreshingly affordable. Final thought: the Sodalicious sauce is ridiculously good.

The bartender did a great job keeping my beverage cups from running on empty. I would return to try a different beer and go for a burger again or even one of their chicken sandwiches. The portions are considerably large , the two apps might have just been enough, but we did decide to order entree's as well. I opted for the chicken sandwich and my husband got the pork chop entrée. Everything was really good. The only thing I was not crazy about was the Carolina slaw and how fast the food came out. We will definitely come back, but now we know what to expect. It tasted pretty fresh but needed salt or something else to elevate the taste. Overall, I would probably come back here, but maybe for an in-person meal, and I'd try something else. Because of not one, but 2 experiences, I was forced to call the Wake County Health Department, the Better Business Bureau and I.C.E. This Wendy's was the only close one in my area. Having always provided decent food, I tried to order in November, 2024. The intercom employee was struggling with English. My order was incorrect when I picked it up. Perhaps the worst fast food experience of my life all over the world was in January, 2025. At approximately 7:30 pm, I ordered a hamburger. The intercom/money employee COULD NOT SPEAK ONE WORD OF ENGLISH! When I was forced to pull to the window AGAIN to POINT to a picture, the cook came out handing my burger. He had on no gloves. He was one of the most frightening men I've ever seen. He was a former prison inmate or gang member with every inch of his body covered visibly head to toe including FACE (with tattooed tears) and looked extremely disheveled and dirty. I literally was so stunned I didn't know how to respond. I looked at the burger when I arrived home and it appeared ok... no hair or overt trash. I was out of money to order somewhere else. I got SEVERE food poisoning. I don't know WHAT he put in my burger.. did he spit in it or put urine or feces in it? I don't know. I'll NEVER go back to ANY fast food restaurant with illegals working. FYI, to become a LEGAL US citizen, one must take an English exam AND a Civics exam IN English. When any employee at any store can't speak a word of English-they are NOT LEGAL CITIZENS. read more

I am a foodie at heart and try my best to eat a variety. For so many years it seemed Wendy's was falling off. But thought I would give the Son Of A Baconator a shot today to take me back to my childhood Wendy's trips. Burger was great and the new fries are delicious. And dipping them in the Jalapeño fry sauce is the move for sure. The concrete was good I was a bit overwhelmed being my first time here I didn't know exactly what they had so I just winged it and it was fine. I would love to try other menu items for sure! Overall I would give this place a 2.5/5 but I don't round up ratings so sadly have to give this a 2/5 but very fixable things to improve the score in the future.

Earlier today, I had surgery, so I sent my son into your restaurant to pick up lunch for our family while I remained in the car. He ordered three cheeseburgers and a large order of fries for me, my son, and my daughter. While checking him out, the employee at the register commented, "That's a lot of food. It's enough for three to four people." My son replied, "It is for three people." Although the employee may not have intended any harm, the comment implied that my son was purchasing all of the food for himself. While shaming him- it was embarrassing, unnecessary, and hurtful. Comments about how much food someone is buying or eating can easily be interpreted as judgments about their body or eating habits. My son left feeling embarrassed, and as his mom, it was upsetting to hear that someone serving, paying, repeat, customers would make a personal remark about a purchase that had nothing to do with them. I'm not someone who typically writes complaints, but I felt this was important to bring to your attention. I hope this can serve as a reminder to your staff that comments about customers' food choices or the quantity they purchase are best left unsaid. A simple, friendly transaction is all that's needed. I hope this feedback will help prevent another customer from having a similar experience. Or, serve as a reminder for people to reevaluate where they give business too, especially if you're a customer who is sensitive to body shaming and judgment. Not to mention: when we got home, we realized your employee only put two burgers in the bag, when my son ordered three. A $50 lunch should come with three burgers, a bag of fries, and good customer service--- not an embarrassing comment that leaves a customer feeling judged. I hope this experience serves as a reminder that kindness costs nothing, and EVERY customer deserves it.
