Worst takeout experience I've ever had. The order was missing tater tots and ranch, and everything else was just tossed loosely into a greasy paper bag with no proper containers. The food wasn't hot, tasted awful, and made my wife sick to her stomach. We had to cook a second dinner afterward. I spent $40 on what felt like garbage. When I called, the manager refused to refund anything unless I brought the food back, and said he'd only cover the missing items, ignoring that the entire order was inedible. Total waste of money and the most unprofessional handling of a refund I've ever seen.

Receipt

The food is delicious. Be careful when you order. If you order the single burger and tots combo for $8.99, it comes with no sauces and lettuce and tomato. If you ask for pickle or ketchup or mayo, you just went outside the combo special and can expect a $5.79 upcharge to the burger, making it well over $12. That's a lot to pay for a soda.

Second time here and definitely had a great lunch this time. Mushroom and Swiss burger cooked perfectly, fries were good (and I'm not a fry person), service fast and all evoloyees very friendly. Restaurant very clean. We ate inside but there is outdoor seating under a canopy. Parking is a mess here. The spaces are very narrow and frankly there just isn't enough parking available for how many stores are here. Side note - my daughter frequently orders Wayback thru Door Dash and it's always cooked right and packaged well!

Hello city of Raleigh ; my honest review is this place is decent place for a quick and easy meal but it's just a basic burgers and hotdogs restaurant Give them a try if you love fries! My rating f burger is a 5/10 Hotdog W/ chili 5/10 Fries 10/10 made fresh to perfection On the upside the customer services was A1 and the restaurant was super cute and layback. Thank you for having us!

Barely any onions

ordered 2 impossible burgers. Both were mussy and UNDER COOKED! Didnt see this until i got home very disappointing. I actually cooked then more before they we're eaten because of the mushyness. Also toppings we're very scarce. I had 6 "small pieces " of chopped onoon. The fact tht I could count them tells you how small thy were. The pieces would not even fill a teaspoon! Disappointing, I will not revisit.I'll go to BurgerKing on the corner instead!

I have been here a few times since I discovered this location a few months ago. This is my kind of burger - prepared as ordered and good and "sloppy" - always the sign of a great burger! I order the Carolina Burger, which includes slaw and chili (and onions, which I omit). I pretty sure that the chili is made on-premises, as it certainly doesn't taste like someone out of a can. The sides are great as well - I highly recommend the chips. This is a hard-working staff. The restaurant is usually busy, and they are always hustling behind the counter.

This is what passes for a $7 order of fried pickles.

Burgers are decent enough and the tots are good, but after getting shorted (twice!) on my fried pickles, I won't be ordering from them again.

KIDS MEAL - KIDS' CHEESEBURGER

I ordered a kid's meal, and asked for only lettuce, pickles, and mustard. I received a burger with tomato, lettuce, mayo, and mustard. I returned to ask for correct burger to be made. The manager told the employee no, and then proceeds to give me back my same burger with a different top bun, but my still bitten off bottom bun. I returned once again, the manager was very rude, and didn't offer a solution. Just told me that we told the server we wanted tomato ( which we didn't), but could not justify the mayo... He told the employee to throw pickles on my sandwich. First time experience, and will never return.

Let me start it by saying, BEST BURGERS I HAD IN A VERY LONG TIME.. The meat, the lettuce, the tomatoes, everything tastes fresh and new. Also their customer service was outstanding, I told the employee I have a couple of allergies and he gladly told me that he would make sure my food doesn't get even remotely contaminated with my allergies.. I am definitely giving this place a 5/5

Lunch!

Stumbled across Wayback Burgers tucked away in a strip mall near the mall. Kind of surprised I'd not heard this place is here - unless you're in the parking lot you wouldn't know it's here. Turns out the burgers here are very good. I had the classic, all the way. 2 patties, cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, mustard, ketchup. Plenty of options for other toppings, but I stuck with traditional. Beef is fresh, not frozen and grilled to order. Toppings are fresh. This was a good burger! Every bit as good as 5 Guys (but with two patties), at about the same price. Fries were crisp and not greasy, lightly salted. These not as good as 5 Guys, but still very good. Interior of the shop is clean and organized, about 20 tables plus a few outside. Our service was excellent. Orders taken quickly, and the food brought to the table. Plenty of other options to try on the menu including a couple of "signature burgers". So a return trip is in order.

Great spot! Burgers were very good and my family of 4 all ate for just over $40. Will definitely go again soon.

The Cheese Steak is not good. The meat is not good quality and the taste is mediocre. I don't recommend it!

High top and bar seat in the bar. Tables and booth seating in the restaurant. Food: ordered good ol' cheese burger which you can make your own (you can pick type of protein for the patty, veggies, cheese, sauce etc). Patty is cooked just like we asked- juicey and well flavored. Deviled egg was phenomenal- little rich and on the salty side but it only compliments their amber ale to chug. Another complimenting dish to the ale is definitely fried pickle. Portion is good=big. Oh, came here another time. Burger was good again. I ordered Philly cheese, which I loved the taste but the ground beef instead of shaved beef was not for me. Service: both times, the service was great. Fast and very attentive. Price: I think the price is reasonable if not, really great. $4 pint amber ale? It's a steal!

It took a while for the waitress to come over and take our order. The restaurant was not busy (other than our table there was only one other) and it took 10 minutes to be asked what we wanted to drink. Then it took another 10 minutes for the water to show up and to have our orders taken. I ordered the Bad Ass Burger with fries. The fries arrived cold and floppy. I let the waitress know the fries were cold and she graciously took then and had them remade. The second set, arrived hot and floppy...and were unseasoned. The burger itself was terrible. The meat patties were not seasoned and overcooked (ordered medium arrived well done). Ultimately, the food was just disappointing. Lastly, I saw one of the cooks vaping over the food.

And the menu had a good variety of things that would make me want to come back and try. Also the vibes were good it seems like a good place to watch a game. To start off the meal we ordered some fried pickles as an appetizer and I loved them. They were just the right amount of crunchy and flavorful. The crinkle cut fries are a sleeper in the industry and if you do them right they are great and adding a dipping sauce is the way to go. Now onto the burger I got a smash burger with lettuce Moe joe sauce and cheese. It was a very solid burger! On my one bite score I gave it a 7.7 which is a very good score. The bun was hit or miss. For the other two burgers that had more toppings on them the bottom bun quickly got soggy. For mine it was fine the whole time. Overall I really enjoyed it and definitely would love to try different things on the menu next time.

Pick up your meal at the counter and it's time to eat! I did their popular truffle burger with fries Italiano and OMG! The burger was amazingly tender, rich and delicious. Tender grilled beef, smoky Gouda cheese, caramelized onions and truffle flavoring throughout. The skin-on fries with shaved parm, rosemary and garlic made for the perfect side.
